Ford GTX1 Roadster Concept, 2005. Inspired by the 1966 Sebring-winning Ford GTX1 roadster, Ford SVT engineering supervisor Kip Ewing created the prototype for the SEMA show. The X1 roadster featured a roof system of four individual hard panels. The panels can be configured as a coupe, T-top, or full convertible. I don’t know if they’re going to do an adaptation of The Kane Chronicles, but Lupita Nyong’o would be my choice to play Bast.
Oh definitely, she would be a fantastic choice! I haven’t read the series but based on the books being by Rick Riordan and Bast being an Egyptian goddess, I would love to see Lupita in the (hypothetical) role. Of course it would be nice if there was an Egyptian Black actress who could feature in the role but Lupita has the name recognition and she is proudly African, and given the general fuckery that the Television Industry™️ likes to pull when it comes to race and ethnicity, I’m gonna say her being Kenyan is good enough.
Another aspect which makes this nice casting is that Lupita has actually done a decent amount of work in kids media — she wrote a kid’s book called Sulwe which is apparently getting produced into an animated musical with Netflix (according to her wikipedia) and she also executive produced a kid’s show on Youtube featuring an African girl as the lead character
