Unpopular opinion time: I think Loki's arc in the movies was excellent and we didn't need to drag him back from the dead to give him a series that ends with him completing exactly the same arc. Again.
My favourite part of the Heartstopper promo pics is that everyone else’s are looking couple-y and romantic and then there’s Isaac in a bookshop looking like he’s reached the gates of Heaven
Ok so Aziraphale’s pause and deep audible inhalation here gets me verklempt for two reasons.
This scene in s2e5 “The Ball,” where Aziraphale and Crowley walk into the magic shop to ask Mr. Mutt to attend, is the very first scene David and Michael shot together for season 2, according to Amazon x-ray’s trivia. They are back together and it’s like a savoring of the moment.
Also, it’s likely the first time Aziraphale and Crowley have been back together to the very same magic shop when they had their romantic 1941 visit. It looks so much the same and I can only imagine what feelings that brings up for them.
"of course the straight couple gets a happy ending" the day yall grow a braincell is the day i'll know peace. i love how ppl who say shit like this just adore forgetting that every angel and demon are non binary. or that beelzebub uses they/them. like seriously, STRAIGHT couple??? fuck off
The funniest thing that could happen in ofmd season 2 is Stede and Izzy hanging out so much they accidentally become best friends and both absolutely horrified when someone (definitely Oluwande or Jim) points it out to them.
Like I can definitely see a situation happening where Stede goes off into danger and Izzy is adamant that he’s not going after him to help but it immediately cuts to a scene of him going after him and all you can hear is him going “stupid fucking Stede Bonnet” like we know he’d say something like that.
Enemies who grow to care about each other is my favourite thing.
actually one of my favourite things about heartstopper is that even though it's literally about a romantic relationship, there is such a heavy emphasis on platonic relationships in both the comics and show. like, realistically, most teenagers only have platonic relationships, and seeing friendship being portrayed with the same importance as romance is so validating. i really like how much of the show focuses on different types of love that exist (romantic, platonic, self).
i can’t help but laugh thinking about what it must’ve been like to be Rhys Darby filming that mermaid scene because like imagine you’re this silly stand-up comedian who does the occasional gag role and then your old pal who’s a Hollywood legend now hits you up and is like “hey wanna reprise Murray from flight of the conchords but as a pirate” and you’re like okay sure that sounds like a fun and familiar thing to play and then cut to a couple years in and you’re filming a scene where you have to learn how to swim underwater with a whole ass mermaid tail while holding a trident no less so that it can interlace with another scene where you’re fully straight-toned crying over the body of your dead lover. who happens to be your old pal yeah
