WYM VERLAINE WAS THE ONE WHO GAVE RIMBAUD HIS SCARF????? he gave it to him as a gift because he knew his partner was always cold he never trusted humans yet he gifted a scarf to his friend who was always cold because he cared about him and rimbaud kept the scarf for ten years even if he had amnesia because he dreamed of the hand who had draped it around his neck, not knowing the face nor the name but the love that person had put in that gesture
i have a headcanon that chuuyas fluent in French and it’s giving me brainrot because none of the pm would know french besides Chuuya Verlaine and Rimbaud (I’m assuming) so I think it would be super silly if Chuuya was talking to one of the members and he forgets a word and goes silent for like a minute and the members is looking at him like “??” And eventually he just goes “FUCK, (the word in French)” and the person is just sooo confused
it won’t let me add links to this post for some reason (ive been trying for like 30 mins ???) but you can access it via the linktree in my bio apologies for the extra steps

Ok, so I'm not typically a 19th-century poets girl, but I tutored a wonderful kid who was a huge Edgar Allan Poe fan, and I don't think it's possible not to like Oscar Wilde, so here we go. I think based on the categories here, I'm probably a George Eliot, but nothing is a perfect fit. Sound off in the tags where y'all fall on this one!
So you see the reason it's confirmed that Chuuya is the original in the end is because despite that fact and everything he hears from the Flags and Rimbaud and Dazai, he still views himself as inherently inhuman which is why he allows himself to be weaponised, and if we look at the other characters heavily featured such as Adam and Verlaine, we see that they too hold contradicting views about themselves to what their reality is, so really the message of Stormbringer is that one's own self image is more important than the views of others-
