[A series of PLA Incorrect Quotes because why not]

Akari: *pretending to joke* So when are you going to go out with me? Volo: I don’t know. When are you going to ask me to? Rei: And you just ran away?! Akari: I didn’t expect him to flirt back!

Adaman: Here’s a fun Christmas idea. We’ll hang the mistletoe, but instead of kissing, you have to fight whoever else is under it. Irida: We are not doing that. Akari: Mistlefoe. Irida: Don’t encourage him!

Akari: We did it. It’s over, we won. [Adaman, Irida, Rei, Volo, Kamado, Beni, Professor Laventon and Cyllene point behind her, obviously distressed] Akari: No, we won. I’m not turning around. We won.

Melli: I got grounded for a whole week just because I came home late. Adaman: Well, you deserved it. I mean, getting everyone’s hopes up like that and then showing up again.

Cyllene: Yesterday, I overheard Rei saying “Are you sure this is a good idea?” and Akari replying “Trust me,” and I never moved from one room to another so quickly in my life.

Irida: Every time I’m around Adaman, my pulse races, my breath shortens, and my temperature skyrockets. Irida: I think I’m allergic to him.

Professor Laventon: One time I went to hand Captain Cyllene a bowl of soup. I wanted to say ‘Careful, it’s hot’, and ‘Here’s your soup!’, so instead I blurted out ‘Careful it’s soup.’

*When Akari and Rei are in charge of getting the groceries* Rei: You ready to do this, Akari? Akari: Yes I am. Rei and Akari: *pushing the shopping cart running through the grocery store with Akari in the cart* WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Cyllene: I think I’m getting sick, I’m losing my voice. Rei: That means you can’t yell at us anymore. *later* Rei: Turns out Cyllene is a lot scarier when she’s quiet.

Melli: Um, excuse me? I lost my companion Lian. Can I make an announcement? Store clerk: Yes, of course! Melli: *leans into the mic* Goodbye you loser.

I might make more of these in the future. Incorrect quotes are so funny XD

December Magma Event "Holiday Hijinx" results!!

Main Event(s): Snowball Fight, Decorate the Tree & Gift Board!

PLA boys taking care of you when you're sick

Adaman

the moment you feel something coming on, he’s insistent that you rest

he’ll continuously be warming soup for you

oh how he worries

but he puts on a smile and takes care of you to the best of his ability

he asks Mai to take on some of his duties/tasks so he can be with you at all times, and she’s happy to do so

but not before a slight argument about it

the cuddling will be nonstop

and you bet his and your Pokémon will be joining in

he keeps you SO warm

the forehead kisses are constant

he’ll even read/share bedtime stories with you if you’re willing to listen

anything you need, he’s on it

and once you feel better, he’s resuming his leadership duties

but he’s not taking his focus away from you

he’s got you by his side

“And don’t think for a moment that I’m gonna stop pampering you because you’re better… because I’m not.”

Volo

Volo is very much a wanderer

but when you’re sick, he’s staying put

he hates to see you in such a dreadful state

and he can’t bear to leave you until you’re feeling better

while you nap, he’s out collecting herbs and medicinal leeks

he’ll make your favorite soup

and he’ll hand feed it to you

he’s a deranged; touch starved lunatic, so you bet he’s holding you at all times

his Arcanine will be your pillow (and your heat source)

and Togekiss is your entertainment

while he’s searching for herbs and leeks, he’ll also be hunting for little trinkets for you

because his poor, sick s/o has to have something special

this man has an ABUNDANCE of stories to share with you

and he’ll share ALL OF THEM, even if you don’t ask

once you’re feeling better, he’ll pack up and head out

you WILL be getting a kiss on the cheek (or lips) before he departs

“I’ll be back soon, y/n. If you start feeling ill again, I’ve left the recipe for the soup I made on the table.”

Melli

you’re sick, and Melli does NOT like that

he distances himself from you

and not just because of how gross you sound

but he’s TERRIFIED of getting sick himself

he’ll speak to you through letters delivered by Pokémon

and they’re very sweet letters

but once Adaman finds out that he’s ‘too good’ to take care of you…

you can hear that scolding from across the Diamond Clan settlement

Melli will slowly approach you

and he’s absolutely disgusted

you can 10000000% tell that smile is forced

but once he settles in

he’s trying his best to help you

he’s hesitant to cuddle with you

but he assumes there’s no other choice

and once he feels how hot you are, he holds you a little tighter

since he’s here, he may as well be close to you

he apologizes for being rude, something he would NEVER do for anyone else

and he’ll send Pokémon to Adaman to request recipes for soups

you’ll probably end up making them yourself, though, because Melli can’t cook at all

he’ll learn eventually

once you start feeling better, Melli does indeed get sick

because he’s always running from illness, his immune system is a bit weaker

but you’re there for him regardless

“Can I have some soup?”

Oh wow would you look at that I’ve got my own wing au. It was only a matter of time, folks.

So in my wing au, flight was developed in humans by the time modern day rolls around. Ingo can fly, Emmet can fly, basically everyone can fly. There are a select few who can’t due to factors like small wings, but those are few and most people are entirely capable of flying.

However, when Ingo gets Eebie Deebied, he is taken to a time where humans haven’t developed flight yet. Their bones are too dense, their wings too small, or their feathers too short. There are a few who can glide, like Melli, but that’s only over short distances and they gotta be elevated to begin with.

So in comes this hulking figure in the eyes of the hisuians that, not only has absolutely massive wings, but can fly with those wings. Like full take-off to landing flying and can fly for a while. He clearly does this often, it’s second nature. It’s terrifying, no doubt, but it’s also extremely useful for the terrain. The sky-bird is ominous and imposing but he’s actually quite friendly and helpful where he can be. One thing to another, he still becomes Sneasler’s warden, now added benefits being he can easily keep up with her when she scales the mountain and he doesn’t have to ride in her pack all the time.

Then Akari comes in, and is much of a similar presence as Ingo. Imposing and intimidating with the broad wingspan, broader than most, if not all, adults. To boot, she’s incredibly energetic and not the best coordinated when it comes to flying, crashing around like a newly fledged Starley. While it’s endearing and definitely lessens the impact of her size, the Galaxy Team is weary of her honing her flight skills, unsure of what she could or would do if she fully got a grasp on her coordination in the skies. But she’s nice enough. Headstrong and stubborn but caring and helpful to those around her.

When Ingo and Akari meet, Akari instantly recognizes the physique and size of a modern human. Near instantly she latches to Ingo, and Ingo has no complaints on the matter, more than happy to finally share the skies with someone. Better yet, he gets to teach her how to fly properly and gracefully.

Somewhere, in the skies of the Mirelands, a creature circles the skies, on the hunt.

November Magma "1st Anniversary" results!!

Main event: Anniversary Party!

It's already been a year since I started running these monthly events, would you believe that!! For this special occassion we invited Pokémon characters for a big party in the Battle Subway, and it turned out fantastic!! Check it out!!

There are many cool references to our previous Magma events in these scenes! Can you spot them all? Two of the amazing backgrounds (the train entrance) contributed by @beastkonohaworld and the plushie showcase is by @fishmanfishman3 (on Twitter)! The other half of the event is under the cut!

This cute little guy @beastkonohaworld created has appeared in every single doodle session since the very beginning and has been bringing cheer and love for numerous artists and their works!! Likes and comments are always very much appreciated, but it's really something else when someone actually interacts with your art! Chemmet has given so much for us, so now it's his turn to receive all the love!

So much wonderful art here!! Some folks did something really cool and redrew their earliest Magma pieces here!! To see the improvement so concretely is very exciting and rewarding to see, you've all worked really hard on your art throughout the year!!
