"…It's over. But it's an odd feeling. I'm not angry that I lost. In fact, I feel happy."

Perhaps Lance is a little TOO happy to lose his championship title...
please do not repost or edit without my permission
Gosh, it's been way too long since I've drawn Pokemon fanart. Even though Lance is my favorite, I've been too shy to upload any wips of him while life has been kicking my butt lol. Now that I'm finally starting to get back into the art groove, I'll try to wrap up some sketches and commissions I had sitting in the corner. Thanks for being patient with me. (Don't worry, I still talk about Bruno!)

The ages of the Pokemon Generations
Generations 1 and 2: The Establishment Age. Reason: The two Generations set the framework for future Pokemon Games (Gym Leaders, Starter Pokemon, Villainous Teams, Elite Four, Champion in Generation 1 and Breeding, held items and Shiny Pokemon in Generation 2)
Generation 3: The Advanced Age. Reason: The Generation was on The GameBoy Advance, and introduced the basic timeline of events in the series (In FireRed and LeafGreen, one post-game quest had you find an item that allows communication between Kanto and Hoenn)
Generations 4 and 5: The Golden Age. Reason: Platinum upped the stakes with Team Galactic’s aims, HeartGold and SoulSiver is widely considered to be the best remakes while the Unova Games is considered by many Pokemon fans as the “High Point” in terms of story and characters.
Generation 6: The Dark Age. Reason: Pokemon X and Y, bar Emma, had some of the worst set of characters. It’s as if they were trying to do Unova 2.0 butfailed at virtually everything. Kalos as a region looks “too plain” and the NPC’s come off as “snobbish” (Worst is that woman who won’t let you in the Lumoise Boutique unless you are very stylish and that Trainer in the Battle Chateau who criticises you). OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire was decent though.
Generations 7 and 8: The Variant Age. Reason: Both Generations have “shook up the formula” by abandoning the traditional “Get Starters, Battle Gym Leaders, fight Villainous Team, Catch Legendary and fight Champion” plot (The formula was getting bland by Pokemon X and Y.) Villainous Teams who came from poor backgrounds (Team Skull are juvenile deliquents who have suffered abuse, poverty and homelessness, while Team Yell hails from a dying town; both themes make sense when you consider the real-life basis; in Hawaii, most of the poverty is amongst Native Hawaiians, who is basically used as “Free Labour” during the tourist system; as well as that, but because of their situation, they turn to substance abuse or end up homeless, while in the UK, the only employment in seaside towns are during the summer months; seaside towns are often used by various councils to place people who have been evicted, whether through criminal behaviour or gentrification, plus it is near-impossible for a young person who lived in a seaside town for their entire life to get a home in the same town due to “Second Home Ownerships”; it has gotten so bad one council in Cornwall basically banned “Second homes” to ensure that young people can actually get on the property ladder), rich but corrupt people ( All Lusamine wanted was to get her family back, and the Aether Foundation wanted to help Pokemon, while Chairman Rose wanted the “Gym Challenge” to continue for millennia) and Regional Variants. Alolan Forms evolved to fit in Alola’s relaxed atmosphere, while Galarian Forms evolved to fit in the harsher climates of the region; Galarian forms also have Regional Evolutions. Finally the Legendaries; instead of them being shoehorned into the plot (For example Pokemon X and Y) they play a major role. In Alola, Lillie is trying to find out about Nebby, a Pokemon she rescued from the Aether Foundation, by taking it to the temples where the Tapus live; by the end of the game Nebby evolves into Solgaleo or Lunala and Lillie discovers that she had helped a Legendary Pokemon. In Galar, when the player and Hop goes into the Slumbering Weald to rescue a Wooloo, they meet the Legendary Wolves; the meeting prompts Sonia to find out about the Wolves and the Darkest Day and whether the two are connected. Sure enough, in the climax, the Wolves aid the player and Hop. In the Post-Game, the Wolves decided to join the player and Hop after the two gained the Legendaries trust.
Generation 8-?: The Open World Era. Reason: Galar introduced a semi-open World, with Open World introduced with Isle of Armor.
