On stolen fanart: a guide
So you've realized that a piece of fanart was NOT drawn by the OP, and they don't have permission to repost it. Now what? Obviously, you avoid liking or reblogging it, but if you have a little extra time and energy, what can you do to help?
Finding the artist:
If the artist's name is written legibly in English letters on the art, that's easy. Search Google or DuckDuckGo for that name, and you should (hopefully!) be able to find a social media account for them.
If it's written in a language like Chinese, and you don't speak Chinese, that's harder. For me, I use a Macbook, so I have the program "Preview", which allows me to select text and copy it (and then I can search DuckDuckGo for the name + "Weibo"). I don't know what the options are if you don't have Preview.
If there's no watermark, you can look up the image. Save the image or the link to the image, then use Google Images or SauceNao to find a source. SauceNao is easier to use, but in my experience, it's way less likely to have the fanart you're looking for.
If you have to use Google Images: Click "Find Image Source". If there's a Twitter link, you may have to scroll through an unrelated person's profile to look for a retweet of the art. If there isn't a Twitter link, sometimes Pinterest pins will have a source, but it's a long shot.
Unfortunately, in many cases, it's not possible to find the artist.
Crediting the artist:
So you know who the artist is now, and you have a link to one of their social media profiles. That's great! What I do is leave a reply that gently lets the OP know that they should not be posting uncredited art, and also lets other users know where to find the artist - replies on Tumblr are very visible now. For example:
"Original source: twitter.com/CoolArtist Please don't re-upload art without credit. This specific artist has a notice on their profile asking people not to re-upload their art."
If you really want to reblog the art, and the artist DOESN'T have a notice like that, you can just leave that reply as a reblog. Now you have cool art on your profile, and your followers will be able to find the artist!
If you can't find the artist or don't have the time/energy:
You can still leave a reply. You can ask OP for the source. You can gently let them know that this is unacceptable behavior. When artists see that their work has been stolen and re-uploaded without credit, it can be very discouraging, and even contribute to them leaving the fandom. If the artist is so good that you want to share their work, don't you want them to create more?
In conclusion:
I don't want to be part of a fandom culture that steals art. Please, make it clear to fanart thieves that we're a community, not a loose band of Content Creators(tm). Honor artists' hard work.

Please excuse my rage slipping if it happened over having to address this literal mediocrity of a subject in comparison to endless things that actually matters in real life. Because this would be at the scrapping bottom of it, but since the occasion presented itself, here we are:
Do you know there are some, let's say, manners, being in fandoms, and/or in using social media in general? NOOO? 8U
Well, Lets start somewhere!
Like it or not, YOU NEED TO ACTUALLY READ STUFF PEOPLE WRITE. Before you follow, before you comment, before you interact, because if you come across something you don't like, or you started to assume things— that's a you problem and not the fault of the poster.
If you DO NOT enjoy a character, a pair of ship, or a certain head cannon, filter the tag it's used for, Google has free tutorials on how. Most social media have these settings and most decent posters tag their posts correctly. If you keep seeing that pair, you can block the people who create it. You are free to do so ofc but WHY WOULD U come on main and air that out? Personally I find it so bizarre and it could show the type of person you are to other people — a toxic company over fictional substance — and I'd say that is not a flex, more like showing your dirty nappy in public. Those characters you love are not real and so not effected by your high ground stance, but actual humans that share you that love notice and get that impression, and it's a weird one. You SHOULD, of course, set your boundaries, and usually where that is be in your profile, on your bio or a pinned post.
Loving bizarre, villainous, creepy concepts DOES NOT EQUAL morality, nor loving good sunshine and flowers does. It's what a person does in real life what counts, not what they consume in entertainment. In fact, it is not a sign of a good person those who be shaming humans who like different fictional concepts. Or when someone keeps using ai generators knowing full well it's based on constant data theft of all sort of human creators across generations and can not exist without the continuance of this theft. Or those supporting creators that they know did irl crimes. Or those who are Policing what's can and cannot go into fiction as if the fickleness of preference have never let alot of things survive its judgement. And I can go on with the miniature examples. You are forgiven if you did not know before, some people learn through experience, but not anymore when you continue this behaviour. And maybe if you can't differentiate between reality and fiction, and what's more important than what, maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't be consuming fiction.
DO NOT POST WHAT YOU DID NOT CREATE. Do you like it when people keep posting your selfies that you only ment to share for funsies and what not? Isn't worse if you did not post that selfie in the first place or never wanted it to be used like that? It's the SAME FOR ART. This is the artists work just as much as your face is yours. Social media at the baseline is about who ever the poster is, their posts are theirs. So you posting an artist's drawing, with no permission, no credit to them, no nothing, is not allowed and people can report that. Don't be an ignorant thick fig and play the victim when schooled like this precious dear\s .Reposters disconnect so many content from their creators and this is how alot of beautiful things in life die, by simply not knowing they are loved, shoved into the over consumption machine..
And lastly, You don't have anything nice to say to OP? Don't say anything! It's not your misguided duty to educate people on how embarrassingly self centered you are, it's okay to be a basic #&★— I promise. It okay to feel out of place in a niche that doesn't concern you. It's okay to realise other people have different perspectives of the fiction work you enjoy. You can sit down.
And I'd like to add, Mani is a safe space for au and ships even if I don't like em, cuz they are only FICTION and will remain FICTION no matter how much I loved them or hated them.

I'm getting a bit tired of people posting my beans on other platforms without permission. Like some people give credit, thank you for that but I've stated that I don't like reposting at all. Like. Not even asking if it's okay to repost, and slapping a different caption on it. I don't use twitter, but my friend keeps sending me like screenshots of "oh look there it is again" and it's just a bit... discouraging.
Please don't go out of your way to seek them out, I don't want that. But like... if you see them on your timeline, just know it's not me. This is my only social media.

what ends up being triggering are instances resembling these behaviors, particularly when it comes to public discourse. i will generally disengage from these types of conversations or interactions to protect myself, so if i go radio silent on you: this is the most likely reason why.

This is the last post I plan on making about the current situation.
I've been trying to recall what it is that might be getting repeated, and there's a couple instances I can think of that are pretty ripe for taking snips:
There are chat logs where I made unkind generalizations about autistic cis men, in the context of the majority of my experiences with them being largely negative, and being relieved that I had a space where my own neurodiversity had room to unfold.
She has chatlogs where I commented on not fully understanding trans men who still veered ultra-femmy, even though I don't have any trouble wrapping my head around butch trans women. That contradiction made me think about it quite a bit, and ultimately decided it wasn't a great opinion to have/was mostly just some lingering All Things Being Binary shit I still find myself unpacking.
I'm sure there's other thorny conversations that can be pruned for content, but I'm having trouble thinking of what it is beyond interpersonal clashes and, yeah. I've already seen the depths of missing context there.
There is no better example, in fact, than the comparison of shadowy werewolves with glowing eyes/teeth. It was taken from a concept that was tabled after approval was actively sought because there was a recognized stylistic overlap. Since 'shadow werewolf with glowing eyes/teeth' is a very common visual element in a lot of werewolf artwork, we also went on to discuss when those visual elements would best be avoided, and when they could be put to use.
This wasn't mentioned in the original comparison posts. Nor was it mentioned that it was never intended for public posting. It was a thumbnail idea for promotional material, drawn over a month ago - and nearly a full year after Lacey's skin tone changed - and it was quietly set aside in favor of other ideas.
Bottom line, I don't have any control over what she does with what she has. I don't have any control over what people think about it. But I do have control over what I do with me, and what I plan to do is stay off social media for the forseeable future, and keep working on the projects that matter to me, like I always have.
In the meantime, if you know me off social media:
I do not want to be contacted about any additional escalation
I do not need to know about any further instances of reposted chatlogs or artwork
It's kind of you to want to know my side of the story, but for my own reasons I'd rather not go into it beyond what I've already posted.
If we discussed commission work that you no longer want, please let me know ASAP so I can remove you from the list I have prepped for when I get back to taking those. Those of you who contacted me about it already have my email address.
All that being said, I understand if even with context, some comments lose people. I'm not gonna hold that against anyone. Where I'm at in my own development is probably not going to be enough for some, and that's fine. It doesn't have to be, and it won't stop me from continuing to try.
End of the day, keep in mind that this is still a personal altercation being made public, with everything that entails.
PS - If any other art is being posted: understand that it is being done without permission, after Ependa and I both actively tried to delete those pieces off the server, stated we'd done so intentionally, and then actively requested those files be deleted off the server/her machine when we were made aware of the fact that she was using third party plugins to retain access.

You can call me Az. I mostly use He/Him pronouns, but "it" is almost more fun. I am 24, queer, and from California! I mostly draw little sketch comics of my Ocs and occasionally write. I am also V new to tumblr so pardon me if I seem clueless about things!!

Hi! Sorry if this sounds awkward (I don’t know how to make requests) but could you do a Cater with a male reader who is a very private person. Like he doesn’t post anything about himself, he asks people to not post about him and he’s over all a really reserved person. But he forgets to mention this to cater and cater ends up posting something about their relationship so now reader is panicking a bit. I can’t tell if that made any sense, sorry.
No, no, everything is fine!! It was interesting for me to write this, despite the fact that I can understand the reader 🏃🙏(English is not my first language, sorry for any mistakes)
Summary: Cater post a photo of you and him and you panic because you forgot to ask not to do this

You have always been reserved and even often asked your friends not to publish anything about you, not to mention you, etc. Even your own Magicam account was completely empty, but it seems you forgot to warn the most important person, your boyfriend, about this. Chaos begins (for you).
I think he posted a photo of your kiss with him (imho it can be either on the lips or on the forehead/cheek/nose, whichever is more comfortable for you)
Your first reaction is growing panic, because this has never happened before, why did he do it? You asked him... OH YOU DON'T
You suddenly remember that you didn’t even have such a conversation with him.

Okay ok now you need to collect your thoughts while you quickly start writing to him so that he archives the post
You didn’t even dare to look at how many people saw it, so as not to make you worry even more, at the same moment you remember how popular your boyfriend is
Reader.exe doesn't answer
Now you CALL HIM so that he deletes the photo as quickly as possible and comes to your dorm
You almost scared him with this behavior, but the photo was quickly hidden and a message came from him that he was heading towards you.
Okay, now it's time for you to explain yourself. What's happened? Didn't you like how you came out? Something else?
You tell him that you are uncomfortable when there is anything about you on the Internet, you also ask your friends not to publish anything about you because it makes you uncomfortable.
The caterer is not stupid, he listens to everything you say and calmly agrees that in such cases he asks you if you mind.
He knows how to navigate social situations, and for a couple of hours you and he are already calmly discussing your comfortable “yes/no” that you might have forgotten to tell him.
He could ask if your shared photos could simply be stored in his gallery, but if you say no, he will delete them without any problems, even if he really liked them.
Maybe he even jokingly offered to take a photo with you so that only your hand was visible 😭 (you know, photos on Pinterest without a face)
After such an evening of revelations, he might even stay at your place overnight, since he might have even more things to talk about.
He is 10/10 at understanding and making you feel better (he is literally Mr. Social Media) in situations like this.

The Creative Lounge v2.0
While we continue to prepare the community for a full launch, I'll post a little more about what's different in this version.
The Creative Lounge is a Discord community of creators and lovers of different genres, crafts, and talents that, together, foster a positive creative environment.
A good portion of this community is dedicated to content creators who work with different mediums. That's by design. We inspire one another and often collaborate. I hope The Lounge makes it easier to do both!
There's also room in here to play. I'm arranging the ability to stream art and video games in here, as well as host virtual tabletop games (these adventures are fantastic fodder for art, animation, stories, and audio works)!
Art and storytelling have been part of the human experience since our beginnings. They withstand disease, war, natural and unnatural catastrophes, and most impressively, time. Be proud of what you contribute.
There have been some changes to the community rules (beneath the cut). Please review them while you wait for The Creative Lounge to launch!
Rule #1: Be Aware.
This is a shared space. You must be at least 18 years old to join this server. Individuals from all places and all walks of life congregate here. The sharing of personal information (name, location, etc.) is discouraged. Don't share personal images of anyone under the age of 18.
Rule #2: Be Respectful.
Any disputes between members ought to be resolved privately. Disruptive behavior is not tolerated! No racism, sexism, hate speech, trolling, abuse, spam, picking fights, harassment, etc. Direct and indirect threats towards any other person are strictly prohibited and will incur an instant ban. Avoid discussing sensitive topics (examples: religion, politics).
Try to keep the conversation relevant to the channel you are in.
This is a multi-fandom, multi-shipping community. Hate directed at fandoms, characters, or ships is not allowed. While age gap ships are welcome, teacher/student ships are not (if characters are portrayed as teacher and student in canon material, do not share fanworks of those ships here).
Don't steal content, or ideas. Do not repost or share anything found here without the permission of that content's creator. When sharing content by others, they must be credited in your post.
When sharing links to your content, ensure that it is thoroughly tagged in your post. Any NSFW content should be shared in the gated channels. No underage (less than 18 years old) or incestuous NSFW content (in ANY form, regardless of how brief it may be) is allowed in this server. Use tags and spoilers (if applicable) for “trigger warning” kind of content. Examples of warning tags:
-Graphic depictions of violence
-Character death
-Rape/non-con/dub-con (A/B/O works are considered dub-con)
Other things such as phobias, body horror, blood, etc, should also be tagged. If you would tag it on AO3 or a social media post, tag it here. If unsure, ask a mod for help!

Hey guys- this isn't aimed at most people or any of my mutuals but as a general note as this has happened again:
please don't upload/repost my posts (on tumblr and other social media) or at least ask me before reposting!
I'm happy for people to use my edits/posts with credit for personal account stuff like profile pics/banners and things like transformative meme edits (again please credit/tag me)
but please do not repost my edits/artwork separately and on other sites (especially instagram/pinterest/twitter/facebook/reddit etc) unless with permission, and in those cases please credit/tag and link to the original post.
If you'd like to use my edits for your project, I'd be more than happy to collaborate, but again please ask me first and credit/tag me!! I enjoy collaborating with people but it feels kinda bad if you take my work without asking especially if you know what its like to put effort into creating work for fun/fandom??
Although it may not always look like it, I put time and effort into making edits for fun and I'd prefer to be able to know where my work is and have it not taken out of context/used for monetary gain.
If I wanted to post my work on other social media I would post it myself ^^;;

In the time where Gaara's Feelings for Reeze started to grow, he became really protective of her - in many different ways. After the Attack of the Bandits of Reeze, it even got more intensive. He never let her go alone on a Mission alone again. He learned his Lesson.
In this Picture I imagine that they got attacked during their Journey to Konoha, to meet the other four Kage. Of course Reeze was with him, she was his personal Assistant and had to guide him to other Villages. So they fought side by sidenand both got injured, but not too bad.
After they defeated the Enemies, Gaara simply put his Arms around his Assistant, simply glad that she's okay and alive, just a bit wounded. This was in Fact just a few weeks after she nearly died in the Desert.
Reeze was very surprised of this Gesture and didn't know how to respond, how to react on this. She already was in love with him and she even blushed a bit without him seeing it. What was he doing?
Reeze: "... Gaara? Is everything alright?"
Gaara: *let go of her* "Yes ... I'm just glad you're okay ..."
Reeze: *just standing there and looking at him* "Let's go. We need to reach Konoha to take care of your wounds."
Reeze in Fact didn't think for a second about her own wounds. She just thought about that Gaara was wounded. That was everything that matters to her.
