Three Ships: I'm a freak who can only think of my handful of OC ships because those are the only ones I go hog wild about... Oh I've been watching Lucifer lately. I think Maze and Linda should fuck and also be in love. As a side note I think basically all of the prominent women in that show should fuck and I say it constantly and is probably annoying. OH. Chell/GLaDOS is so so so so so important for totally normal reasons. and past that I feel like I don't have any ships I feel really strongly about other than relationships that are just, canon.
Currently Reading: Trying so hard to read Pale by Wildbow. Also smatterings of fanfiction. Oh! I also started listening to the audiobook of Gideon the Ninth today.
Last Movie: "The Truman Show" which I watched with Addison my girlfriend Addison for the first time last week. It was really good!
Craving: This is probably meant for more like food or drink type cravings but I have an evil sore throat because of a viral thing and swallowing hurts so nothing really sounds great. I would like to be cuddling with my girlfriend though. But due to the aforementioned viral thing, I am forbidden from doing so for a few days U_U

Pls tell me about velvet worms <3
A velvet worm is one of the only known cousins of the water bear (if you know what that is). It’s scientific name “onychophora” means hooked feet because like the water bear and its other family ancestor Hallugenia (that weird thing from the Cambrian period)
They only live in tropical areas around the globe because they they moisture to survive. They are predatory animals attack their prey and defend themselves with this glue type substance that is actually like a non Newtonian fluid. It comes out as a fluid but rapidly turns into a sticky mess once it hits something.
Velvet worms come in two main flavors Peripatos and Peripatidae which describe their physiology as well as their distribution.
Some species are known to be social like the Euperipatoides genus. All in all really pretty to stare at, actually hard to rear so they aren’t really in the pet trade fingers crossed 🤞 .
Their biggest threat is habitat loss, but some species manage to survive in urban gardens and areas.

im the velvet worm guy and i saw your tags.
they're basically ancient little guys from back when the world was experimenting with creatures. they're about as closely related to arthropods (group including insects, arachnids, crustaceans, and centipedes and millipedes) as they are to tardigrades (the microscopic guys who can survive intense radiation and being in space)
they're voracious little ambush predators who hunt by shooting glue out their faces, are only found around the equator (family peripatidae) and in australia, south america, and south africa (ie the ancient continent gondwana, family peripatopsidae).
some species form complex, territorial matriarchal social groups and hunt in packs. keep in mind most velvet worms species don't get bigger than a few centimetres long. they're also comically rare to see, apparently. i keep finding them
oh my god long tardigrade bug critter. hunt in pacccckkkkss?? do those species form colonies/hives like ants/bees or how many in a pack? so cool ouo
