percy cutting luke and then immediately apologizing because his fatal flaw is loyalty. then luke immediately turning around and cutting him on purpose. He was tired of asking percy to join him, he was ready to get rid of percy. the fact that percy was losing that fight was not because luke was better at fighting than him. it was because percy was incapable of hurting a friend like that, whether they are fighting him or not. the fact that he fought ares and luke in the same episode but luke was the one that percy was losing to is his fatal flaw being absolutely fatal.

but can we talk about luke’s progression during this scene? the hurt on his face up until percy rejects his plan and especially when he cuts him. the whole conversation looked like he didn’t want to hurt percy. when percy was slowly figuring it out, his eyes showed no aggression but rather sadness that he knows percy won’t accept his offer. when percy brought up the shoes, the line “I didn’t think you’d give them to grover to wear.” actually hurt me, the pain in his eyes because he cares about grover, one of his first friends.

(Side note: can someone PLEASE update me on those luke simping tiktok girlies cause i don’t have tiktok but after that last episode?? they’re probably sobbing-)

Honestly would absolutely love it if the Percy Jackson show incorporated some of the songs from the Percy Jackson Musical into their instrumentals. Imagine how awesome that'd be.

oh i’m so fucking normal about this percy jackson trailer. i definitely haven’t read the series once a year since 2010. i definitely didn’t go the opening weekend of the original movie. i definitely don’t have pinterest boards dedicated to percabeth and just percy himself and just fanart. i definitely didn’t write fanfic about pjo in middle school. i definitely didn’t break down in a barnes and noble when i got my hands on house of hades. i definitely don’t think about percy jackson all the time. i definitely don’t have completely destroyed copies of the series because i’ve read it so much and never replaced them. i definitely don’t have entire passages of the books memorized for over a decade. i’m so fucking normal about this. i’m not bouncing off the walls rn. everything is normal.

Oh, gods, the scene where the minotaur is chasing them and focuses on Sally, and then she tells Percy to be brave while he is looking her scared and confused and looking a lot like the twelve year old child he is, and then the minotaur picks Sally by the neck, AND THEN PERCY PICKS UP RIPTIDE AND IT GLOWS AND WE SEE THE MINOTAUR CHARGING AGAINST HIM AND PERCY CHARGES STRAIGHT ON TOO AND HE LOOKS SO SMALL YOU CAN ONLY SEE HIM THANKS TO RIPTIDE'S GLOW WHICH HE HASN'T EVEN LEARNED HOW TO USE YET AND THE MINOTAUR LOOKS VERY BIG AND IS ILUMINATED BY THE GLOW OF THE BURNING CAR WICH MAKES HIM LOOK MORE IMPRESSIVE (I really liked that shot) AND THEN WE SEE PERCY'S FACE AND HE LOOKS SO DETERMINED AND YET SO SCARED BUT HE HAS JUST LOST HIS MUM AND HE JUST WANTS HER BACK AND THEN WE HEAR GROVER'S VOICE AND HE SOUNDS SCARED BECAUSE HE IS SEEING HIS FRIEND PULL OUT THE EXACT SAME THING THAT THALIA DID IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE IN THE EXACT SAME SITUATION JUST A FEW YEARS LATER AND HE DOESN'T WANT THINGS TO GO DOWN THE SAME WAY BECAUSE THAT MEANS NOT ONLY THAT EVERYTHING WAS ALL FOR NOTHING BUT THAT HIS BEST (and only) FRIEND WILL DIE AND THEN IT CUTS OUT AND THE TITLES SHOW UP AND THE "Go down to the riptide" SONG PLAYS OUT
