The new girl from Bakarina Alter Chapter 9 was very cute, I hope she isn’t a one-off character and comes back again (though thats probably just me being desperate for another new female friend for Katarina in the spin off :3c)

I really love Sienna from the Hamefura spinoff, but since she doesn’t have a colored version or palette available, I can’t draw her bc I don’t know what colors she’d have qwq so for now here’s Sienna in the palette of the main characters, and random guesses of mine as a bonus

I’ve only known Sienna for one day, but I love her and I demand to see more of her from now on.

I just finished reading the Spinoff of Otome Game No Hametsu Flag - basically Hard Mode for Katarina as she regained her memories when she has already started at the academy.

And let’s just say Sienna has completely stolen my heart. 

I’m sure at this point the spinoff can’t really have the harem that it used to have, but I think that’s still okay.

Using the same kindness to draw Mary in, in the same way she did for Sienna and OG!Maria is a great way to start their friendship! Though I feel like they ended up using a down-played version of what Alan/OG!Katarina did in order to gain Mary’s trust, in a way.

Alan told her that her green thumb made her special, and Katarina reassured her of what she was told that day while also giving her validation for all the hard work that she put into making it “green thumb” or garden happen.

What Alan did gave her confidence in herself, but without the constant threat of love rivals, it wasn’t enough to make her as straight-forward and thick-skinned as the OG!Mary. The spinoff never really clarifies why she is alone; if she only truly finds Alan’s company important before Katarina, or if her new skills and talents makes her less approachable. It seems to be the latter. The fact that she now has all these skills, poise and talents but lacks the brazen personality to carry all of them (so far Mary in the spinoff is very mellow in terms of her personality compared to what we’re used to) seems to make it harder for her to approach people (she never had to do it herself, Alan was the one who first talked to her after all) so no wonder she couldn’t gain friends on her own.

There’s also the fact that people has such high expectations for her because she is known to be such a perfect lady, that all criticisms and compliments sound the same to her because the people who mouth them sound like they are merely stating a fact without adding any emotion to it.

And that’s where Katarina comes in! While she isn’t the first one to compliment Mary for her green thumb, the fact that she looked so happy and genuine when she gave her compliments ignites something in Mary that she didn’t know she needed. Mary deserves to be praised for her efforts, and Alan might not be enough for that. Katarina’s praises makes her feel validated for all the effort she puts into what she does, unlike everyone else who just expects that to come naturally from her. Of course only Katarina, who’s trying to grow something herself, can see how amazing Mary is for getting her garden to look so beautiful! Everyone else might not even see it as a big deal and think “Of course she can grow a garden, she’s perfect!”

Mary might not mean it in the same way that Alan changed her life when they were both kids, but Katarina really did make Mary’s life brighter by being someone who sees her efforts (just like how Katarina is to Maria), wants to be friends with her, and shares the same hobbies as her, which is someone that she’s never had before until now.

Otome Game No Hametsu Flag - Spinoff/Hard Mode

I love this moment. 

Geordo has spent the past 7 years not liking Katarina one bit. 

So, even though it’s only been a short amount of time since Katarina has changed -  it’s already made such a huge difference. 

He’s jealous of someone else potentially being with Katarina. And maybe, I’m reading too much into this, but it also looks like he’s confused by this new experience/feeling. 

He’s spent so long not wanting to be with Katarina, so why all of the sudden does he care that she was acting close and cozy with his brother?

I love it!

Also we basically had the same scene in episode 3 of the anime, so maybe we’ll get some Sienna. Maybe?
