in regards to orym only admitting how badly he's struggling to dorian/always reaching for the sending stone instead of his current party members, I suspect it's because dorian's not with the team right now, and therefore he's not someone orym feels he needs to be strong for. orym has been told he's the moral center of his party numerous times (ashton has even admitted to him that this isn't fair! but it's still how he's perceived) in addition to being a keep-a-stiff-upper-lip-and-support-your-friends kind of guy. if he cracks, he's got to be afraid that's going to have a ripple effect on the stability of the group. so of course he's going to reach out to the one party member he doesn't feel he has to support, where it won't effect the larger dynamics of the group, who also happens to be someone who is removed from/untouched by the kind of trauma and heartbreak the party has been dealing with and feels more connected to a past that was kinder. dorian is the ideal candidate for orym to open up to emotionally, well beyond any shipping lenses

The Crown Keeper and Fearne&Orym reunion is going to be very interesting because you have Fearne, who hesitated to take the shard because of the impact seeing dark!Fearne had on her, possibly seeing Opal again.. like this. She gets a front row seat to one of her very good friends heading down that path of corruption that she herself was scared of.

Then you have the Crown Keepers just seeing the toll these last few months have had on Orym and Fearne. I wonder if there would be any guilt from Dorian, knowing he left and came back to such a drastic change.

That Orym did get the answers he was looking for and he is crumbling under the weight of them. That Fearne has had to experience so much more loss and anger in these last few months than she had in over 100 years and she still doesn't know what to do with some of these feelings.

listen so closely to me i think liliana temult is a fascinating character and she’s really fun to examine morally but also nothing will ever come fucking close catharsis-wise to watching ashton and orym fucking cross examine her ass in episode 92. the sexiest shit i’ve ever seen “your worst fear is probably my worst fear, and i think we just got a little sample (my worst fear came true because you weren’t fast enough, what will you do when it’s her head on the line?)” and “keep wrestling (you must bear the weight of their deaths on your conscience and know it will never be enough for what you took from me)” like holy SHIT you guys

Something about Orym and love and absence. Something about his main tether being Zephra and Keyleth and his family and Derrig, and he's been gone gone gone for forever. Something something Will, "still miss him. It's been six years, still miss him". Something something and another something Dorian "Glad you're not here. Wish you were anyway", "I really miss Dorian and sometimes I think it's okay and sometimes I think it isn't" and "I've really missed you" and "Fuck, I miss you". Hmm! Hmmmm!!

I love all the art depicting characters hugging Orym that can basically be summed up as “Secure your hands under that halfling’s butt and lift him to your chest 🥰”
