Another aquatic cryptid! This is the Ogopogo, it’s a water creature that is said to inhabit Lake Okanagan in British Columbia.
This creature is very similar to the Loch Ness Monster, which I’ve already made, so I made sure to make this one’s body shape different. I gave them more of a  slim, serpentine figure and used dark green corduroy fabric.

The Monster cards from the Danger! archetype from the 2018 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG expansion Cybernetic Horizon:
Danger! Bigfoot!
Danger! Chupacabra!
Danger! Dogman!
Danger!? Jackalope?
Danger! Mothman!
Danger! Nessie!
Danger! Ogopogo!
Danger! Thunderbird!
Danger!? Tsuchinoko?
The cards’ art depicts the cryptids interacting with researchers... for better or worse. I’d love to see more cryptids added to this archetype, though I seriously doubt we will.

Sample shirts have arrived for my production company's fundraising campaign! Excited that we can now tell the world we believe in West Coast horror.
If you believe you can get your own here - https://badcookie.shaky.in/
Profits will go towards funding a horror anthology feature film and for those curious, the shirts are 100% cotton, union made, and printed with eco-friendly inks by the worker owned collective Shaky Hands!

Im such a mystery nerd. Saw a post where someone did that comment-bait-y thing where they claimed “there’s no word that starts and ends with o” and everyone was saying stuff like oreo and oregano, and I said ogopogo. Because everybody knows the Native Canadian giant lake monster the Ogopogo.

5 Cryptids That Could Serve as the Basis for Their Own Horror Movies
Tumblr media
Cryptids and folkloric monsters are an untapped goldmine of both creature design and realism. As proven in Willow Creek and the recent film Antlers, cryptids can carry a film. With the folklore rooted in modern culture and discovery, there is an essence of realism that other monsters can’t consistently deliver. Along with Bigfoot and Wendigo from the above films, there are a plethora of underutilized monsters in film, as well as a few that weren’t used to their full capability. With films embracing this subgenre, there are more than a few cryptids that are tailor-made for cinema…

A Canadian lake dwelling entity. In the modern era Ogopogo has often been considered a cryptid akin to the Loch Ness Monster.
