Because yes, Louis calls Daniel “our boy” every time he talks to Rashid about Daniel, even after EP1 when Daniel told Louis he wasn’t “your boy,” but an old man.

“Our boy” is a nickname. An affectionate nickname. (And not just a sly nod to the books.)
