I just noticed a spelling error and it’s too late to fix it now.

Minako was given more freedom with her uniform than her last waitressing job on Earth much to her delight. Mickey even let her use her roller skates to make her job faster.

They’re not the same species, Goof, but the resemblance is there lol.

A redraw of Minako’s bedroom—a pink excess of a room. Despite living in gloomy Grimmauld place, the Nezumis managed to make their grandma’s old house look like home.

And the other angle featuring the door on the floor since Minako sleeps in the attic. Curtains are closed for this one. (I tried to match the objects as best as I could)

My favourite bits:

The Nezumi family heirloom, a magic mirror i.e. the gateway to Twisted Wonderland. Given to Minako as she was the only one interested in it.

Her trusted confidants: the sentient scarf of sexual preference and her non-sentient plushies

A peek into her sketching hobbies.

Her firebolt supreme and her wardrobe. She painted the oleander flowers herself.

I’m doing it. I’m actually doing it. I’m attempting an animatic for “Belle” from Notre Dame de Paris. I couldn’t stop since I made my ugly little thumbnails.

ENG Twst is on book 7, but I am still in Glorious masquerade. Here’s to hoping that this doesn’t stay a wip for forever.

I can’t with Rollo’s outfit. I can’t. Yana, why do you make all of their outfits so complicated? I have to draw him for god knows how many more times.

A thought

No, but if Rollo somehow got his hands on the most confidential information about Minako and knew about her curse that way, he would see her as a victim of magic just like his brother was. He would see so much of himself in her older siblings having to watch their kid sister slowly die because of what was afflicting their bloodline.

Rollo would be under the belief that the Nezumis would hate magic as much as he does, but no... they love it! It's their livelihood, their reason for breathing and living other than having each other as family. He takes it upon himself to try and "save the family" from what he perceives is a poisonous mindset.

I haven’t drawn Minako in awhile or written the next chapter either. So, have some pigtailed Minako. I tend to think that if the space buns come down, it means that she’s grumpy, tired, and can’t give a shit today until she’s back in bed. She also tends to resemble her older sister, Flor, more with how cranky she looks

You know the event Lost in the in the book with Stitch event in Twst? What would Minako wear at the beach? What would her relationship with Stitch be like? Because damn, not only she finally gets some relaxation but gets a new alien buddy (sorry Grim, you've been replaced)

Just this once, I’ll give you this drawing as a treat. Mostly, because nothing on pinterest fit my vision.

(Now that I look at it, Minako’s abs look kinda weird. It’s hard for me to draw muscular people, especially since Minako tends to make herself look delicate and soft due to the layers and long sleeves she wears, so I don’t draw her muscles often.)

But yeah, rule of thumb is that Minako usually either matches a disney protagonist or matches with Grim. Like Grim’s outfit, the pattern on her shirt is the same pattern as Lilo’s dress.

Honestly, because of Minako’s workaholic tendencies, she thinks that being trapped in a beach paradise is some kind of trap, but she eventually settles down and relaxes on a floatie, drink in hand. Stitch warmed up to her rather quickly too. Minako’s magizoologist/beast-taming skills work a little too well sometimes to the point where she doesn’t have to lift a finger and creatures just know that she’s worth their time. Grim here is letting out his inner cat and starting fights with Stitch the same way Lilo would fight with him.

It’s because, as you know, Minako is twisted from Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

The staff of the House of Mouse are a little put off by how much she resembles the Mouse couple (save for Goofy who thinks that Mickey and Minnie have just decided to parent a human teenager). Yes, they know that there are plenty of girls with black hair and have their hair in the same style as Minako, but they can’t shake of the feeling that she has the same aura as Mickey and Minnie even though her personality can differ quite a bit from her original counterparts.

The customers see it too. During Clarabelle’s gossip segment, she blurted out to the club that rumor has it that Mickey and Minnie adopted a human child, and all eyes are on the new waitress.

What would Minako’s interactions with the obey me cast be if they ever met?

Minako:

When Minako found herself in hell she came to the conclusion that she finally died for real, but she's too tired to care. Belphegor can relate. (She did not die, a classic potion mishap happened.)

Starting with my Obey Me!MC, Eva Dilag, they're instant BFFs. A pair of witches sharing spells. Minako has a tiny crush on Eva, but Eva is already spoken for (*cough* Lucifer *cough*). They share their own grievances about being involuntary therapists for a bunch of emotionally stunted men. Poor Minako has to deal with 20+ plus boys and perhaps an entire school while Eva deals with seven.

By the way, Eva has a sheep form, which Minako absolutely adores as an animal lover. She's so small and fluffy!

Lucifer is a hard-ass, but that doesn't really bother Minako that much. He can be a bit extreme with his punishments though, which Minako hates. I mean he blew up a bathroom once during his second birthday event because he couldn't find the matching necklace that he got on with MC. Maybe it's because he looks and acts like Minako's current father figure that she tolerates him (I'm talking about Crewel).

It's back and forth with Mammon. He's an annoying little shit who will do anything to have money in his hands, but sometimes, Minako feels that being the punching bag of the family is a little undeserved. It's okay though. If Mammon does steal something from her, Minako is actually just as fast as Mammon, whether she's on her feet or on her broom. And she packs a punch too.

Levi is almost Idia 2.0 for Minako, but she does notice a few differences. Idia has a hidden smugness and sassiness to him underneath his doom and gloom, whereas Levi is more blunt and direct with how he feels. Levi gets so shy around Minako because a pretty girl is talking to him, and that she's surprisingly scary for a human.

Satan is impressed with Minako's intelligence. Minako is a little bit of a literature nerd, especially when she was a kid, so they both enjoy sharing book recommendations. They like to get into some playful debates and banters about things.

Asmo thinks that Minako is adorable! He tried seducing her, but Minako was able to straight-up will herself not to fall for his hypnosis (she's learned her lesson after the Scarabia incident and tried to pick up Occlumency). Well, at least they can have makeovers together. Minako has some fancy cosmetics that Vil gifted her, and Asmo has rare and exotic cosmetics made by demons.

Beel is so huggable and sweet. Now, please stop eating tonight's dinner. Your brothers are hungry too. All Minako wants is a buff man with a heart of gold, not necessarily for a boyfriend, at least as a close friend who lets her climb on him like a monkey so that she can ride his shoulders and hug when she's sad.

Minako begged Belphie once to help her get a good night's sleep. She might as well enjoy it now when she can while she's away from Night Raven.

Diavolo is just so... imposing. Minako never expected the future demon king to be childlike, but he feels dangerous at the same time. People are multi-faceted, so are demons.

I'm sorry about this Jade, but I think Minako likes Barbatos more. Finally, someone reliable with no ulterior motives. Just a fairly normal guy who will serve you tea not laced with poisonous mushrooms. Wait, what do you mean you predicted that Minako would come to Devildom?

Minako has a crush on Simeon too. Can you blame her? A gorgeous writer, big-hearted, and fatherly towards his ward, Luke.

Luke and Minako are almost the same height. What else is new? She has a soft spot for children, so you'll find her patting him on the head often, much to Luke's annoyance.

Solomon is kind of odd, but Eva's known him for a long time and so have her ancestors. The three humans together are a chaotic bunch and are a terror to the Devildom.

That's all I have. I'm not going to do Mephistophelees, Thirteen, or Raphael because I don't know them that well.

Blinding Light, Scorching Pyre

Based on the theories of Rollo being transferred to NRC and staying in Ramshackle (or in this case, Mugglesworth):

Why yes, I am posting character redemption arc ideas for Rollo one hour after posting my video of him being a pyromaniac.

I'm going to pretend that this event happens post-chapter 6 and not on Halloween for continuation reasons. Rollo transferring will also likely not happen, but it's fun to think about.

Minako was apprehensive about how the Dark Mirror shoved Rollo into her dorm, but she sucks it up and does her best to accommodate him. She has an inkling that Crowley will badger her into being a good dorm leader for her new student.

The students of NRC and the Nezumi family are outraged about this. Not only did their would-be murderer show up, he's lodging with their precious prefect?! Anything but that! Either get him out of their school or put him in another dorm.

Kento Nezumi was chaperoning with Trein during their excursion. He and Minako were under the assumption that Rollo had a crush on Malleus at the time. Unfortunately, he accidentally overheard that Rollo was not, in fact, crushing on Malleus but on his sister. (He's still throwing up about it.) After warning the rest of the family about this, they're all on guard and refuse to let Minako and Grim be alone at Mugglesworth. (For some external reason, they're not allowed to stay at Minako's dorm for too long. Maybe it's because they're not students of NRC.)

Brave souls, such as Riddle Rosehearts, offers to have Rollo transferred to his dorm. He may hate him with a burning passion, but at least there are more witnesses and robust students if Rollo tries anything like that flower incident at the symposium again. Minako is just one girl with a cat companion. The three ghosts can't do much to ward off Rollo either. Sure she can hold her own at times, but she has a curse that makes her frail. Rollo would end up baring witness as to why he hates magic so much.

This plot could diverge into a few ways, and I'm itching for Rollo character development:

Idea # 1

Because of Rollo's hatred of magic, Minako decides that perhaps the wizard life isn't for him. Through her dimension-travelling mirror, she takes him to her old neighbourhood Muggle London on her scooter to meet her Squib neighbour.

The old Squib is just the sweetest old lady alive, your typical grandma. She gives them tea and biscuits made with love. Rollo doesn't know when was the last time he felt this relaxed or indulged in anything or even slept peacefully. He could cry.

Idea # 2

My more fleshed out idea.

Perhaps living in Muggle London doesn't work out. A new dimension was something that Rollo could hardly fathom, so he's stuck in NRC in the meantime.

It takes a week or so for Minako and Rollo to even have a proper conversation since they became dorm mates. There is still a lingering infatuation that Rollo has for his dorm leader, but he keeps his feelings internal because he knows that he will never get the approval to court Minako from her family, and he realizes that she's no different from the other mages he's come across. He's hesitant to form a connection with her in any way.

Rollo tries to hate Minako, but fails. In spite of how cautious she is, she's actually willing to give him a chance compared to everyone else at this school.

Slowly but surely, they get used to each other's presence. Like Levi Ackerman lol, Rollo is a clean freak, which Minako appreciates, but he's a terrible cook. They both have green thumbs and the Mugglesworth garden is even more luscious and blooming with vegetables and flowers.

Rollo gets a front row seat to Minako's strange quirks, habits, and the chaos she brings, especially when it comes to taming scary magical beasts. Strangely enough those things don't detract his feelings for her, and he even develops a weakness to Minako's cuteness.

Based on a fan art I saw on Twitter, I headcanon that Rollo suffers from chronic nightmares similarly to Minako. Minako shares a few methods like her sleepy-time tea and writing in a dream journal. She offers her Patronus once, but Rollo refused. Maybe someday, he'll be okay with the Patronus.

Maybe this is just wishful thinking, but the Nezumi family curse probably pushes Rollo to consider dabbling in magic again to try and find a cure for it. Maybe. He's hesitant about it though and still considers using the flowers again so that Minako no longer burdened by her curse, but that plan gets shot down quickly when he learns that simply removing her magic cannot fix her condition. (Boy is going to stumble as he learns and grows).

I don't watch Demon Slayer aside from a few short out of context clips, but I feel like their dynamic would be similar to Lady Tamayo (Minako) and Yushiro's (Rollo) dynamic. Basically, Rollo becomes Sebek 2.0—although more stoic, he's still as much of a nuisance and a simp (I'm sorry Sebek. I love you, I swear).

Rollo is less expressive about his crush, but boy does he get defensive about Minako. The one time NRC is on his side is when he's telling Crowley off for dumping his responsibilities on his dorm leader. He and Grim almost always the first to aid her (rip Ace and Deuce) because they're familiar with her curse trigger patterns.

They almost act like a domestic couple raising a cat together, and it pisses everyone else off, Malleus and Adeuce duo especially. Minako is, as usual, oblivious to the kind of relationship they have now. Rollo–1, NRC–0.

Perks of Minako's curse Part 2

(Warning: A gratuitous consumption of poison)

Just a bit of an add-on to this. Commenters on Ao3 gave me a few ideas.

Like Kalim, Minako can detect poison, but unlike Kalim, she won't die ingesting poison. She becomes a regular guest of Scarabia parties because of this, and it's mandatory that she gets the first taste of every dish. If anyone were ever given a poisoned or laced dish without any meat (cuz Minako is still vegetarian), the food immediately becomes a part of Minako's food rations

I imagine that it's like this hilarious fanart, but instead it's Kalim dumping his laced lentil soup into Minako's mouth.

During the Pomefiore arc, Vil nearly tears his hair out in a fit of rage that the fatty and sugary foods that he cast "Fairest One of All" on is still safe for Minako to eat. She was seen smugly eating the tart that Trey gifted her and carrying on with her day like normal.

Lilia's cooking is almost the same situation with Minako's feelings on rancid food, but it's still an acquired taste. She eats Lilia's cooking anyway as a show of dominance and to strike fear into the hearts of Sebek and the rest of the Diasomnia students.

Minako cooking up her noxious recipes gives me iZombie cooking scenes vibes minus the cannibalism on brains. Her food looks incredibly appetizing that it's no wonder that Grim and Ruggie drool over them despite knowing that what she cooked up would kill them.

And speaking of Ruggie, boy does he wish he had Minako's immunity. He'd be able to make poisonous berries and plants a part of his diet.

Crewel is a little uneasy about his daughter, I mean his student continuing to rely on lethal berries and plants for food even after he forced Crowley to give Minako a more sufficient wage. He later concludes that Minako is a lost cause as he watches her munch on her candied lantana flowers and spread nightshade jam on her scone during their afternoon tea time.

Sam is an enabler, advertising various poisons in his shop as tasty condiments only for Minako.

"Hey, this'll taste great on salads!"

Jade is enabler #2 and is amused by Minako's taste for poisonous flora. Surely, she understands the beauty of mushrooms. He and her are happily cooking, or "stinking up the kitchen" as Floyd calls it, making every mushroom dish in the book—death cap pasta, skullcap pizza, cream of destroying angel mushroom soup, jack o' lantern risotto, you name it!

Jade won't dare to eat any of what they made, but he likes to watch Minako's eyes light up when she takes a bite out of the pasta. He had a great day: a date with the lovely dorm leader of Mugglesworth and cooking with mushrooms.

Rook is enabler #3. You can't tell me that he doesn't poison the tips of his arrows. He shows her his collection of wolfsbane juice and even gives Minako a sample to drink. He takes her down to the Pomefiore lab and the place temporarily becomes a bar where Minako can experiment on making mocktails. Upon seeing her down ten tubes of potions, the Pomefiore students are either feeling irked, horrified, or more attracted to this girl (Vil feels a mix of all three).

If the Beautiful Queen were here, she'd probably be shaking in her high heels at this horrid little girl that thrives on the taste of poison.

Perks about Minako's curse (contains a tiny spoiler from the Ignihyde chapter)

(Warning: mentions of poisoning and consuming poison)

This is a little bit inspired by @underqualified-human’s "? Yuu Au" and @blackopals-world's Black Feast because the more I write and think about concepts for Minako, the more of an eldritch horror she becomes.

I remember that one quote from Vil while going through the Ignihyde arc, that the line between a curse and a blessing is blurred depending on how a person views it. It got me thinking about Minako's curse, and how it benefits her.

I mean yes, it's always been in my mind that the blot curse does give her a boost in magical power as a mage compared to her peers once she learns how to control the inconveniences it gives her, but I'm also thinking about her immunity to certain things.

Like poison. Blot is a toxic substance, right? Having lived with it her whole life (albeit unknowingly up until she was 12), it's made her immune to poison. I've had this one random story in my mind, that Minako intended to share with Kalim during the Scarabia in order to attempt to relate to the many poisoning attempts he went through. During her first year of Hogwarts, she drank a laced a drink that an assassin actually meant to give to Minako's best friend, Kikyo Malfoy. Both girls hadn't known that it was poisoned, and they panicked when Minako instantly started feeling sick.

Her immunity wasn't as strong when she was young, but Minako still survived a heavily laced drink with a poison that should have killed a child her age in a matter of seconds. It took a hysterical Kikyo and a professor a whole two minutes to get to the hospital wing (apparition was not an option within the castle), and Minako still survived.

When she's older, her immunity is much more refined. This includes being able to eat anything that Vil has poisoned with his unique magic. It's come to the point where Minako has developed a taste for poisonous plants and berries if she ever needed to save money on her budget. She puts nightshade berries in her pies, juices, and even makes jam out of them. The death cap mushrooms donated from Jade? They're in her risotto. And with the flora that only exists in Twisted Wonderland, she's free to experiment with whatever tastes good or what's available to her without having to worry about dying. Don't worry though, she always labels her poisonous food stock as "WARNING: POISONOUS FOOD (GRIM, YOU WILL DIE IF YOU EAT THIS!)" Emphasis on Grim because he's a terrible listener.

She still won't eat rancid or mouldy food though. It doesn't matter if she's immune to food poisoning. That shit still tastes gross.

(Additionally, I originally wanted her to carry bezoar at all times ever since the poisoning incident. Maybe she just keeps it around for her friends, mostly for Kikyo because there were many attempts on her life.)

Idk I think this might be cool. Not sure if I should make this canon. Thoughts?
