Not the anon who ask about other producer but his name is hitsugi kurone apparently he's a shy boy with a shu situation instead of talking to doll he share a body with his older sister Negi who is apparently an idol also in the wiki it's listed he's just a supporting character speaking of supporting character do they have some kind of knowledge about this self aware stuff not that much but when a certain event happen they noticed the idols and Anzu have this excitement to show something to someone the world may never know. Going back to Anzu she may just breath a sigh of relief but she probably be anxious about another producer, also the idols some of them is envious of Anzu because we possessed her, but when they heard the news of another producer they probably feel bad about it and comfort her comparing it to the way we change to other idol unit when playing the game
Ahh thank you for all the info, anon , it´s very useful to know! I tried to look him up on the wiki but I couldn´t remember his name and so I didn´t really know where to look because I don´t remember seeing the both of them on the page with all the characters.
Now I finally know at least some of the basics ^^ I don´t think there´s a lot of content for Hitsugi or NEGI in jp right now so it would make sense that their wiki pages aren´t very detailed right now. So every little bit helps!
As for your ask...

How self-aware are the supporting characters? And a continuation of Anzu´s reaction to a new producer appearing
So, I think there aren´t actually too many supporting characters in enstars? Obviously, there´s Anzu but she gets to have a way bigger role in this AU ( which I´m honestly very happy about, you go girl!) than that of an unimportant side character.
Then there´s Jin and Akiomi, the teachers. I don´t think they would be self-aware, or at least only a tiny amount. It would boil down to them noticing that some of the idols are suddenly way more motivated when practicing for a new live or organizing a new event and they´re not really sure why.
They don´t appear often in the actual story, often relegated to the April´s fools events or the like. I don´t think there are any stories that actually exclusively focus on them? But I could be wrong here.
So what I meant to say is that they rarely have any chance to interact with you, which is kind of the only way to become self-aware in any way. The few times they are on screen and notice your presence can easily be interpreted that they´re just overworked and imagined someone being there that isn´t. It´s so fleeting that they hardly even remember it.
They don´t have any gacha cards you can pull for ( aside from the low rarity ones you can buy in the shop), so they have barely any contact with the game´s system as well.
And you can bet that none of the sentient characters are going to tell them, they might not be rivals for your love but they could still take away some of your attention if they knew.
Hitsugi and NEGI we barely know anything of, as I said, so I think their situation would be similar to that of the teachers. They may notice that Anzu is very happy sometimes and in other situations, her eyes almost look empty. Almost like a corpse!
I think once we see more of the both of them, they might grow to be more aware over time but as of yet, they likely have no clue that you exist just yet, which is definitely a huge temporary relief for Anzu. She´s still the only producer in this game that knows of you so that means she´s the closest to you!
It´s a weight off her shoulders but she can´t rest easy just yet. As of this moment, Hitsugi doesn´t know of you but that doesn´t mean he will never find out and that has her very scared. This entire thing makes her very uncertain. Why were the both of them introduced into the story anyway? What were the creators planning? Anzu doesn´t know and it drives her crazy.
What if they really were trying to replace her? What if one day, Hitsugi or NEGI would be possessed by you and she would lose her special connection to you? Oh, she can´t let that happen! You´ve been with her since the very start and so she doesn´t want to let go under any circumstances! You better believe that she might try to push some more work onto her precious fellow producer when she feels like an event for the game might be slowly approaching. I´m sure she must have gotten a feeling for when a new one is going to come out after all this time that she has been self-aware for. The both of them can´t appear in the event if they´re busy elsewhere, right?
Well, Anzu doesn´t know if it actually works that way but she´s certainly going to try to do everything in her power to prevent the other producer from growing self-aware and potentially stealing her role!
Also yes, you´re very much right when you say that the idols definitely envy Anzu getting to become your vessel and being possessed by your very being. Oh, how intimate it must feel, to be connected to you in the purest of forms! They want it too, they want to be close to you, inseparable even! But they weren´t granted that special privilege. Oh, how they wish they could have you like that but the developers were cruel and gave that role to Anzu instead.
At first, some may feel a bit of gratification at seeing Anzu despair so much after the new producer was introduced but that feeling soon fades. None of them are familiar with this new person, after all, they´re an uncalculatable risk that they would rather avoid at all costs. More people being aware of your presence means more people that could turn into potential rivals for your love and they can´t have that.
So yes, while they are plenty jealous, at least the idols know what Anzu is like and so they try to comfort her at least a little bit. They know what it feels like to be swapped out on the home screen or in the office and it doesn´t feel nice at all.
If at all possible, they want to help Anzu in avoiding that from happening.
