There’s a story you’ll never hear, a story of love, of loss, of victory, of defeat... The man standing before you is someone who gave up everything twice, and has learned his steps will always lead him back to the sea. He’s a hard one to find - and even harder to catch.

Remember this drawing from February? I drew Axel again in the Pokemon-esque style, this time with a different look and different team! His initial team would be his team as a pirate, and these six would join him later on when he makes it into Icewind Dale!

Also, Axel’s outfit is what it would be without outside influence from anyone else - that includes the maybe-not-that-useful Cloak of Elven Kind he got. I mean a man with a +8 stealth rarely if ever fails stealth rolls, and as he rarely uses them to begin with, maybe someone with a shittier stealth should’ve gotten it but hey, that’s a defunct game now so it’s all water under the bridge lmao.

And, naturally, like last time, Axel names his Pokemon.

Liepard is Momo - the masculine version of Mimi, being his shiny Zorua he had as a starter. This is based on Axel’s Grey Bag of Tricks when he pulls out any creature, as he names that entity “Mimi”, “Momo”, or “Mumu” depending on how many of them he’s drawn out. Yes one of them could be “Meme” but that would mean he’d draw out greater than three from the bag.

Carracosta is Razanid - this is a name my DM gave the Dragon Turtle that gives Axel his warlock powers! So Carracosta here is the Pokemon equivalent of that giver-of-the-Fathomless’-power... And I picture him as being able to speak, akin to Meowth from the anime or Zoroark in the games.

Linoone is Lucy - I don’t really have a reason behind this one, but unlike Duchess/Dhelmise from the other one (being named after the Dark Duchess ship in Rime of the Frostmaiden), this one literally has no source. I just think Axel having a female Linoone named Lucy is cute.

Lycanroc is Dawn - his group in our now-defunct D&D game is the Dawnbringers, so I imagine Axel would name one of his Pokemon after the group in some regard, and Lycanroc being the Dusk form here fits there abouts. If Lycanroc is male, however, Axel would name them Dusk. He names her Dawn here bc I picture it being a female Lycanroc.

Sawsbuck is Midnight - based on the horse I go with in Minecraft, being a black (preferably all-black) horse I name Midnight. This Sawsbuck is not an all-black horse, but that’s fine, he’s still named Midnight because I love the name that much.

Dodrio is Pepper - I took this name from me playing the old Hexxit Minecraft Modpack back in 1.5.2, it being one of the more common names for me to name my initial Chocobo other than after my favourite characters.

hi there, nice people. i’m afraid i have bad news.

quiero aclarar desde el principio que quien les habla es inti/sunflower y que gardenia y foxglove (mimi y momo) no tienen nada que ver en nada de esto, no quiero que ellas queden sujetas como responsables porque en líneas generales quien complicó las cosas y acabó con todo esto siendo un desastre fui yo.

en primer lugar quiero dar las gracias por todo el apoyo y cariño indescriptible que recibí por parte de la mayoría. con algunes logré formar un vínculo más cercano que otres pero sí puedo asegurar que les quiero a todes, un montón. es por eso que esto me afecta y me apena en un nivel enorme, porque realmente siento que le fallé a mucha gente que me importa y a la que, como digo, les tengo un afecto gigantesco.

como siempre, intento hablarles con la verdad y esta vez no pretenderá ser diferente.

inicié este proyecto trabajando ocho horas diarias de lunes a viernes y medio día los sábados. en un principio lo llevaba bien, podía no sólo cumplir mi labor administrativo sino también llevar a mis propios personajes en tranquilidad. en el camino, todo se fue haciendo un poquito más difícil y decidí buscar ayuda. en un principio se unió mimi/gardenia y cercanas mis vacaciones recurrimos a una tercera personita (momo/foxglove) que también comenzó a formar parte del equipo tanto en un nivel meramente administrativo como creativo, pues entre todas trabajamos y desarrollamos muchísimas cosas de las cuales no todas pudimos terminar de plasmar en lo que es y significa brooklyn.

sin embargo, las cosas empezaron a complicarse cuando este mes me agregaron prácticamente tres horas más en mi horario laboral. lo cual implicaba once horas de trabajo, más la administración, más mis personajes. no pretendo quejarme porque yo misma armé este proyecto y el trabajo administrativo es uno que yo misma forjé, pero espero que entiendan lo que dicho labor conlleva. estar siempre al pie de las críticas, siempre apagando incendios, siempre armando actividades, siempre armando memes, siempre armando plot twists, siempre armando sorpresas. eso es lo que yo quería ofrecerles y creo que en un principio lo logramos. pero en orden a seguir cumpliendo con ciertas expectativas o poder seguir disfrutando la experiencia bajo los términos que a nosotras nos eran funcionales, había que hacer cambios. el cambio menos drástico y el más apropiado, era el megaverse.

creo que ha quedado en evidencia que este nuevo formato no funcionó en el universo de brooklyn y lo entendemos. nadie tiene la culpa y lamentamos si se sintieron forzades a hacer un cambio que no querían o si de alguna forma les hicimos perder el tiempo. realmente esperábamos que funcione y teníamos muchísima fe de que iba a dar muy buenos frutos.

si me corresponde dar explicaciones personales es que a la par de todo esto mi vida en un nivel personal se complicó mucho y aquellos cercanes a mí pueden confirmar que no estuve pasando los mejores días por problemas en el trabajo y algunas cuestiones más que no vienen al caso mencionar. nunca se hizo esto con intenciones egoístas y cada cosa que hicimos fue con la esperanza de poder salvar este proyecto tan bonito que se armó a la par de todes ustedes.

me hago cargo de que pude haber hecho mil cosas mal y de que tal vez mis decisiones no fueron las correctas pero ojalá sepan ver y entender que fueron errores honestos con los que de verdad buscábamos una solución a todo el tema. tanto mimi como momo son personas increíbles que me brindaron apoyo incondicional y que me hicieron crecer tanto en lo personal como en aspectos creativos and dear god they are the absolute best. así que ya mismo quiero decir que ellas no tienen nada que ver con nada de aquello malo que se vio dentro del grupal. they are angels. period. si tienen que apuntar a alguien me gustaría que fuese conmigo, ya que, como les estoy contando, fue por culpa de las cosas que a mí me fueron sucediendo y que no pude resolver que acabamos en donde estamos ahora.

sin nada más que decir, no hay más opciones que dejar en claro el cierre oficial de brooklyn. me lo guardo como una de las mejores experiencias dentro de la plataforma y con la gente más bonita que podría haberme cruzado en la misma. son libres de utilizar todo aquello que haya sido expuesto por mi parte en la trama bajo su propia libertad y me encantaría que también se lleven todo lo lindo en vez de quedarse con un sabor amargo debido a la forma en la que acabó por concluir. aquellos que quieran mantener contacto, mi telegram seguirá estando disponible para todes (@solevda) y el grupo en dicha app también se mantendrá abierto para cualquier cosita que necesiten. me encantaría poder hacer un nuevo proyecto si los tiempos me lo permiten en el futuro y si están dispuestes a formar parte del mismo en dinámicas similares a las que planteamos dentro del megaverse. la idea de cruzarnos nuevamente me alegra el corazón and that’s the truth. that’s all, guys, no quiero seguir alargándome mucho más.
