Empty beer cans filled the table in front of the two men. The room was silent, the TV showing the console home screen, and darkness was creeping in from the night. The night was winding down, and the two friends were enjoying peaceful moment before the night truly wrapped up.
Mason breathed a heavy sigh, comfortable in his current state. He was clearly drunk, but happily drunk. He fished around in his pockets, feeling for the recent purchase he had received that day: a brand new Chronivac tablet. He pulled it out of his pocket, powering it on for the first time, watching the screen suddenly brighten, flashing the Chronivac logo.
“Check it out!” Mason suddenly exclaimed, surprising even himself with his boldness. “I got this new Chronivac in the mail.”
Beside him sat Chris, Mason’s best friend since grade school. Chris was drunker than Mason was, with his eyes closed and his body still, but he too was in happy state of intoxication.
“Oh yeah? What is that?” Chris slurred from the other end of the coach. The back of Mason’s head was resting on the top of the sofa, leaned back in an almost unnatural position. A massive drunken grin was plastered on his face, highlighting the comfortable state he was currently in.
Mason held up the sleek tablet to an oblivious Chris. A loading screen flashed again as the system booted up.
“Yeah, it’s a tool that lets me change a part of my body. Actually it will change a part of both of us. They had a deal on the twins package.”
“Cool…” Chris breathed.
“Yeah. I know you have been feeling down lately, so I thought it would be nice to spice things up for you. Plus, you know you’re my bro. We’ve been buds since we were five years old. I figured it was time we made it official.”
Mason began tapping at the screen, swiping at different sliders and dials. There were dozens of different settings with labels like “Hair”, “Muscle Levels”, “Race/Nationality”… Mason balked at the overwhelming choices and options, but forced himself to stay focussed; this was a change he had wanted for a while.
“So I was thinking of doing some kind of mixed race. Hmm. Japanese and Mexican? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. I bet that would look hot. With jacked muscles, like body builders. And since we’re gonna be twins, you’ll get it too. Sound good to you Chris?”
Chris only smiled and laughed to himself, the way drunk people often do. It was clear he was not fully present in the moment. Mason took Chris’ drunken laughter as a sign of agreement and continued with the settings page. He slid up the muscle slider to the max, added jock personalities and details such as personal trainer and fitness influencer. He double checked the ‘Race’ tab, making sure that Japanese and Mexican were both checked off. Pleased with his work, he continued on to the last section, “Target Selection” and “Transform”. He allowed the device a few moments to calibrate before confirming the two bodies in the room. He double checked that the “Twins” button was selected and hovered over the Transform button.
“All right bro. This is it. See you on the other side!”
And with that he tapped the button. The screen went blank for a moment, creating a quick sense of panic in Mason’s heart, but reappeared with a white, animated progress bar.
Mason looked down at his hands and arms. “I don’t feel any different,” he said.
He checked the screen again. The progress bar had moved up by one pixel and showed a time remaining of 1440 minutes.
“Oh shoot! I set the transformation duration to be 24 hours. Well that’s okay. When we wake up tomorrow, we’ll definitely see some changes! Next time you see me Chris I’ll be be a huge muscled-out bro. And a completely different race. And so will you! We’ll be twins. Pedro and Miguel. We’re gonna be so fucking hot.”
A gentle and rhythmic breathing came from the other end of the couch. Mason turned his head and grinned at Chris who had passed out on the couch.
“See you in the morning, Miguel,” he whispered.

Bright sunlight was pouring into the apartment. The morning was late, but the day was still young. Chris stirred on the sofa; he was now lying horizontally on the couch, shirtless and in his underwear. He blinked his eyes in the sunlight, rubbing his eyelids with a balled up fist, and stretching against the soft cushions of the sofa. His broad feet pushed against the far armrest, and his arms stretched off behind him. He sat up, and noticed his first change.
Looking down at his chest, Chris saw his pectoral muscles had ballooned out in front of him to a God-like proportion. He cupped his chest, making note of how his nipple had slipped down below his eye line, and squeezed the new muscle.
“What the fuck?” He exclaimed. “Why do I have tits?”
Mason launched himself off the sofa and dove into the bathroom. The flickering fluorescent light clicked on, revealing the extent of Mason’s initial changes. Below his chest were the unmistakeable beginnings of 6-pack abs. Mason ran his fingers over top of his stomach, remembering the slight beer gut that had been there the night before.
He leaned in closer to the mirror and begin poking and prodding his face. His nose seemed wider and his eyes were narrower. His lips were plumping as well, into two thick pillows. He ran his meatier fingers through his darkening hair; it seemed thicker, curlier and shorter than it had before. He pulled a strand and watched it bounce back into place on his scalp.
The sound of a door slamming brought Chris out of his trance. He stepped out of the bathroom and back into the main room.
“Bro!” Mason called from the entry-way. “Are you up?”
“Yeah! What the fuck is happening to me?” Chris replied in anguish.
Mason came around the corner and Chris immediately became aware that the changes he was going through were also happening to Mason. Mason appeared to be several inches shorter, and Chris noticed that he was roughly eye-level to himself now. His chest and abs were similarly large and muscled as Chris’ were, except Mason’s shoulders and arms were much wider. Veins pulsed across Mason’ skin and over his bulging biceps. His nose and eye shape seemed strangely familiar, as did the plumpness of his lips. Mason noticed that Chris’ hair was shorter on top with a shaved, faded appearance on the side.
“Mason, what the fuck is happening? I pass out drunk and wake up all top heavy like this! And then you waltz in looking like that! What the fuck?”
“Chill out bro,” Pedro said. “And my name isn’t Mason anymore. It’s Pedro. And your name isn’t Chris, it’s Miguel. You’re turning out to be such a hot twin.”
Chris/Miguel was unable to get anymore words out as sharp pains coursed through his arms and legs. He hunched over, wrapping his growing limbs around his torso. In front of his eyes he saw the muscles in his arms and legs double, triple and quadruple in size, into massive slabs of muscle. His trap muscles ached and burned as the fibres inside re-stitched themselves, growing to match the mass of his arms and chest. Across the room Pedro grinned in anticipation, as his adonis belt thinned out, becoming lean and chiselled, into his tight pelvis and butt.
“Miguel, we’re going to be so hot!” Pedro’s voice was deeper and more coastal sounding. His jock-instincts were bubbling in his brain, overwriting whatever personality he had before.
“Don’t call me that. My name is Miguel. I mean Chris.” Chris stammered. “How did you even do this?”
“Bro, it was the Chronivac. I told you last night. Just embrace it. I paid good money for this twins package.”
“I need to call them. There has to be a way to reverse this.”
With a wide stride, Chris/Miguel walked over to where his phone was, but doubled over as a burning pain seared through his stomach. He squeezed with his hands, feeling the muscles underneath swell and grow under his touch. Before his eyes his abs went from flat and empty to being completely ripped. His waist got tighter as his adonis belt and hip muscles also tensed and flexed, just like Pedro’s had.
“Bro, I have a six pack!” Chris exclaimed, his voice cracking as it matched the timbre of Pedro’s.
“They match mine, bro!” Pedro said.
Chris shook his head. If he could just call the company and explain what the problem was, then he figured he could stop the changes. He found his phone and brought it to his face, waiting for Face ID to unlock. The phone vibrated in his dark and meaty hand, refusing to unlock. In the black mirror of his phone, he saw a completely different face than the one he was used to. His nose was wider, and his jaw was leaner. His eyes had narrowed into Asian-like features and his hair was shorter and darker than before. His face was looking identical to Pedro’s, right down to the plump lips.
In a panic, Chris typed in his passcode and Googled the number for Chronivac. The phone began ringing.
“Hello?” said a voice on the other end.
“Hello, is this support? My name is Miguel, I mean Chris. My name is Chris. I don’t own your product, but my brother Pedro — I mean my best friend Mason does. He used the Chronivac on me last night and I woke up with big muscles and my face is looking Japanese and Mexican? And the same thing is happening to him! He says we’re becoming twins. This has to be against your Terms of Service! I didn’t agree to this.”
A dark skin spot formed on the back of Chris’ hand, spreading across his skin and up his bulging arms. His skin was darkening, to match his new ethnicity.
“It sounds to me like it might be too late to intervene. Our records show Pedro and Miguel Watanabe.”
“That’s right,” Miguel interjected. He was Miguel, not Chris.
“Yeah,” the agent continued. “So your brother got the Twins Package, and since you are legally twins now, there’s nothing that can be done to change back the transformation. But it’s going to be great being a pair of super hot Latino-Asian influencers, right?”
“Yeah,” Miguel replied absent-mindedly, and in a voice that was deepening. “Thanks anyway. Peace.”
He hung up and tossed the phone aside. Pedro wandered over and wrapped his hand around his twin brother’s shoulder.
“It’s at ninety-nine percent,” Pedro said, indicating the transformation process on the Chronivac.
Miguel felt another spasm in his thighs and legs and saw his skin was now completely browned and tanned now. His legs were thick and bulging, and so was the rest of his body. A wave of emotions came feelings rolled over his brain, and Miguel stood silently in place as his brain and personality adjusted to match his new physique. Pedro stood still for a moment too, as the twenty-two year old twins realized they could speak English, apanese and Spanish and had a long history of lifting weights and posting work-out videos on TikTok. The transformation progress bar clicked up one last pixel to one-hundred percent, snapping the twins out of their daze.
“Bro,” Pedro said. “You wanna get a workout in?”
“You know it!” Miguel said, high-fiving his twin brother with a grin.

Benny fiddled with the pink bottle in his pocket as he approached the *object* of his obsessèd affection.
"Hey, Y/N." He said, sliding into the seat next to her in science class, the first class of the day for the two and they were the first ones in the class for some convenient reason; Ethan and Rory were also in this class but they hadn't arrived yet.
"Hey, Benny!" She smiled, setting her phone down. "Where's your sidekick?" The girl joked, nudging him with her elbow.
"Looks like he's not here yet." Benny shrugged back, a tint of pink flooded to his cheeks and a tingly feeling went to where her elbow had touched him.
He noticed the water bottle sitting on the table in front of Y/N; the perfect tool.
"Hey, do you mind if I take a drink?" He pointed to the water bottle. "I'll take the lid off so you don't get my cooties." Y/N giggled a little, he loved her giggle;
"Sure." Then she slid the bottle over to Benny. " I put lemonade in it though so be warned."
Benny nodded in response, slowly undoing the lid and taking a sip. Y/N returned to her phone, no longer paying attention to the boy next to her, giving Benny the chance to slip just a little bit of his potion into her drink, then screw the lid back on.
"Thanks." He said as he slid back in his chair, trying to act nonchalant.
"No worries," Y/N didn't even look up from her phone. He was in the clear.
Benny spent the whole rest of class waiting for Y/N to take a sip of her drink. Just a sip was all he needed for his plan to start taking effect.
Eventually, towards the last few minutes of class, she took a drink from her bottle. Benny grabbed her chin, making her turn to look at him just before a pink flash went through her eyes.
She was his.
After that all he had to do was find ways to gradually feed her more of the potion until it was gone.
The more he gave her the more she started to love him back. She was like putty in his hands, much like he was putty in hers.
He loved her so much he started to get ahead of himself, they were already dating but he wanted more. Benny couldn't stop the lingering feeling of not wanting anyone to talk to her, not even Ethan.
And Ethan knew exactly what Benny was up to. It couldn't've possibly been a coincidence that right after Benny made the love potion, the two began going out.
It was like the two were playing capture the flag with Y/N as the flag. Back and forth the two would try to get Y/Ns attention, Benny often achieving more than Ethan.
But really, what could Ethan do? He didn't have any magic. He didn't know how to break the spell. He couldn't do anything.
Except, he could tell Grandma.
It'd be hard with how territorial Benny was being at the moment though. Benny wasn't even letting him over to his house. He'd use excuses like;
"Oh! We're getting new flooring!"
"Sorry, we're not home now!"
And sometimes just blatantly telling him he can't come over.
And all the while Y/N was consuming more and more of Benny's potion.
After a few weeks, Ethan was finally able to get Y/N alone.
"Ethan?" He had pulled her from the hall into the janitors closet. The pink in her eyes was blazing. Ethan grabbed her hand, hoping to see a vision.
What flashes through his mind was confusing- a view of date and hearts and P.D.A. At the end of the vision Ethan could hear a few words and then Y/Ns eyes changed back to their original color. Ethan coudnt make out the words though.
During this, Y/N was getting worried.
"Ethan... I should probably get going now... Benny is probably looking for me."
"Don't go to him!" Ethan shouts. Y/N flinches.
"What do you mean?"
"It's... hard to explain... but just stay here for a few more minutes..." Y/N nodded but her agreeable nature didn't last long. A few minutes later Benny could be heard yelling for Y/N out in the hall. Her eyes flash and she reaches for the door handle.
"Y/N please! Just a few more minutes..." Ethan held her arms tighter. Then, the door opened. The two fell out of the closet, Ethan landing on top of Y/N. Benny stood above them, a deep scowl on his face.
He grabbed Y/Ns hand and yanked her up, shoving Benny to the side.
"Stay out of it." He said as he walked away with Y/N wrapping herself around his arm.

Mrs Lord pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. Her eyes were beginning to ache from going over paperwork. It just so happened that Halloween fell on one of their Fantasy Weekends and she was determined to make it memorable. Everything had to be perfect from the themed mocktails to the costumes, oh boy, would there be costumes. The thought of the guys all dressed up was almost too much. The clients would go nuts. Almost entirely lost in her vision she didn't realise that she was being watched. Something was stalked through the house towards her. It took its time, keeping its footsteps slow and gentle so as to not make a sound. It was only when it was right by her paperwork covered bed that she saw it
"I vant to suck your blood. Blah!" The creature announced as it pounced on her.
"Maxwell!" She playfully admonished. "You'll crumple my paperwork!"
"Sorry, Mi Vida. I just can't help it. You look good enough to eat." He managed to get out around his fake fangs.
"To eat, huh?" She raised an eyebrow at him.
That's how Max in his leather posing pouch and little black cape came to be face down between her legs for the next half an hour, thankfully minus the plastic glow in the dark fangs, while she deliberated over the food menu. Once she was satisfied in more ways than one, it was her turn to suck.
"Pathetic fallacy." Ezra mumbled as he looked out of his window.
Gregor lifted his head from the book he was reading. "Huh?"
"Oh nothing. It just seems like the weather has decided to join us in the festive mood. There's a storm coming in."

This is Alan’s coming-of-age, in which he must embrace the man he is, to become the hero he’s meant to be. In the end, he’ll have gained a greater understanding of himself and his gifts – as he unlocks a new, previously unknown ability that could make him the most powerful Green Lantern in existence!
“Tim has crafted a beautiful and shocking origin story for Alan’s greatest enemy, the Golden Age Red Lantern, that is both heartbreaking and inspiring,” added Johns. “Jeremy has created a fun, emotional adventure celebrating the reunion of Jay Garrick with his long lost daughter, Judy, set firmly in the DC Universe of today and Rob will present a mystery tale of The Golden Age Sandman’s earliest days through the lens of Oppenheimer. —Jay Garrick: The Flash by Jeremy Adams and Diego Olortegui. It’s hard being a parent, especially when your kid is a speedster! Midnight Alley Missing Scene
Y’all wanted to see it so here we go :D
This isn’t included in Midnight Alley because it messes with the flow of the story and isn’t absolutely plot necessitated, but here we are!

The other camp isn’t hard to find. Whoever they are, they don’t seem overly concerned about keeping hidden; the light of the fire, even in the dying night, is like a beacon in the shadows.
Scar, of course, knows this trick.
He moves around, away from the obvious entrance of the camp where the light shines brightest. He moves silently, the trees and brush blocking him from sight as he takes in the camp before him.
Three people sit around a firepit, the smell of salted meat cooking over the open fire. There is a device set up, facing the wide open entrance of the camp, and when a Zombie stumbles into the camp it shoots off a number of arrows in fast succession, ripping the Zombie apart before it can even groan.
“Disappointing, just a Zombie,” one of the people says, tossing down a bone into the fire. It cracks and splinters quickly. “Was hopin’ it’d be that cute little Hybrid we saw earlier. Bet its horns would fetch a decent price.”
Anger and hatred flares up in Scar’s chest, and he regrets not letting Grian kill them now.
(It’s fine. He’ll do so much worse than that.)
He pulls his Fairy lights closer to himself, letting them shine just a little brighter, and steps into the clearing. “Well, hello there,” he says, and immediately all three strangers are on their feet, loaded crossbows pointing at Scar. He simply smiles, seeing how they freeze before they can even consider letting the arrows fly.
“Who are you?” one of them demands, though their gaze is solidly trapped on a Fairy light. A strong will, he notes. He’ll need to weave a stronger compulsion for that one.
“Well, I was passing by and saw your campfire,” he says easily, and even knowing that they have seen him already in his own camp, they are unable to even think for a moment that he might be lying. Human minds are awfully fragile like that. He steps closer, easily reaching over and lowering the crossbow one of the strangers holds- fingers barely brushing the end. He raises a brow at the person who stares at him with wide eyes.
They look almost enchanted. Scar can remember a handful of times he’s seen that expression aimed at him, but no other time has it made disgust and anger and hatred twist up in his chest like this.
(How dare this person, who so casually wished for his son’s death, look at him like this.)
However, such an expression tells Scar it’s an easy in; there is no emotion easier to manipulate than infatuation, no desire easier to twist than lust.
A man who hates another will never fully trust, but a man who loves another will hardly ever doubt. It’s the perfect recipe.
He smiles.
(He’s never done this before. It feels dirty and wrong, but it’s easy. He can see any resolve they have slip, and he hasn’t even done anything yet.
He’s going to destroy them.)
“Perhaps you’d like to sit with us for breakfast?” the bandit suggests, and their companions- still struck by the Fairy lights- make a vague sound of discontent.
“Boss?” one of them utters, confused as the light in front of them flashes brighter. Whatever protest they had ready on their tongue dies before they can even form it.
“That sounds lovely,” Scar says, never breaking eye contact with the stronger-willed human. So caught up in his compulsions they don’t even notice his cold tone, his sharp gaze, the lies that lace his words- the hatred that burns in his eyes.
The other two lower their weapons and the leader gestures to the campfire, and Scar breezes by them. He takes a quick account of everything there- the arrow trap machine, the packs that a hint of gold poke out of, the mis-matched tools and bags that tell Scar they definitely did not belong to these people... a smaller backpack catches his eyes, the hand-sewn cat on it sending a wave of revulsion and anger burning through his entire being.
A child's bag.
These people know no limits.
"What are these lights?" One of them asks distantly, stumbling over the log lying by the fire as they steadfastly stare at his Fairy light. Scar turns to them, a smile verging on sneer curling his lips.
Two of them continue to stare at the Fairy lights, reaching out before pulling back quickly. The third- the 'boss'- watches only him, victim to an entirely different compulsion.
"It's nothing," he says, and in their stupors the bandits simply accept it.
"Your eyes are like gold," the leader says suddenly, hardly more than a mutter as they tilt their head at him.
"Yes," Scar agrees easily, because he can feel his magic buzzing under his skin- begging to lash out. His Fairy lights glimmer dangerously in time with his heartbeat.
He sits down now and the leader is quick to follow, dropping clumsily next to him. They offer him a strip of cured meat and Scar’s nose wrinkles at the scent, and he shakes his head. The bandit is quick to toss the meat aside and offer him a flask instead, pushing it into Scar’s hands in some semblance of polite hospitality that makes Scar’s stomach twist with disgust.
(He remembers, for a split second, the first time he met Mumbo in person. The reserved and hermitlike Vampire who had lost and lost so much, who was still so polite and kind and good despite it all. He remembers the light feeling in his chest when Mumbo smiled, the warmth of his touch when they shook hands- remembers how much he wanted as it lingered a second too long, how much he thought he couldn't have. He remembers those precious minutes before he pushed it all away.)
"What's your name?" The leader asks as their companions find their way to their seats, Fairy lights lingering in their laps. They stay silent now, unable to even think. "My name is Aaron."
"A pleasure," Scar lies, offering the bandit a dangerous smile. "Aaron, you say?"
A strange name for a bandit, he thinks, but the haze that falls like a veil over their face when he speaks tells him it's his real name.
How foolish.
"And your friends, Aaron?" he asks, leaning closer. The bandit watches him, oblivious to the way the fire flickers hotter than before.
"Jamie and Jones," the bandit answers without question, without hesitation.
"Jamie and Jones," he repeats, noting how the two in question sit up just a little straighter at the sound of their names. "Wonderful. Thank you."
"And your name?" The bandit repeats.
Scar chuckles. "You don't need it, Aaron," he says, and the other simply nods.
"Of course," they agree. Scar looks around at them, taking in their clothing and lack of sharp teeth, their rounded ears and long, bony fingers. Their fingernails are dirty and not sharp, cut short towards the bed.
"You're all human," he notes.
"Of course!" One of the others- Jones, he believes- proudly thumps a hand against their own chest, puffing up. Scar frowns. "Humans are the only true people, ya know!"
Scar tilts his head. "What does that mean, Jones?" He asks innocently.
"The humans were the first," Jones says. "Specifically, Peecy! Alex and Steve- what were they?"
"Peecy!" Jamie declares with a confident grin. "Hybrids and them sort'a things- they're just glorified beasts."
"So you're followers of the Old Book," Scar mutters, glancing between them. It makes sense, unfortunately- in the old days, when the Void was nothing more than a story and only one god walked the lands, back when there were no Testifica or Illager or Hybrids, no Natural or Supernatural...
Back when a Mob was nothing more than a Mob.
"The only right book," Aaron says, nodding sagely. "Of course someone of your caliber would understand such things, sweetheart."
"Don't-" Scar starts before catching himself. He breathes out and smiles.
(No matter what, he remembers, a prince must never wear his thoughts on his face.)
"Right," he says, because he refuses to agree even with lies on his tongue. Not that these three notice it's neither truth nor agreement- just an acknowledgement. "I believe I've heard enough, then."
These people would hurt Grian and Tubbo if given the chance. They'll hurt Mumbo if they realize what he is.
They would try to hurt Scar, if they weren't so heavily under his spell.
Humans are terribly fragile.
"Heard enough?" Aaron repeats, watching him. Scar stands up and turns to them, pulling his staff out as he does.
"You're dangerous and unforgivable," he says simply, trying not to glance towards the child's backpack lying on the ground. He twirls his staff and the Fairy lights brighten, and whatever protest the other two might have called dies in their throats as their vision is overwhelmed by gold.
Scar taps the end if his staff onto the ground between him and Aaron, who at last seems to realize they've been tricked- but not fast enough, as when they try to grab their sword a vine breaks through the ground, wrapping around their wrist and yanking down.
Aaron yells as they're dragged to the ground. "Sorcerer!" they get out before the vine crawls across their skin and blooms flowers and leaves, pressing against their mouth and silencing them.
Scar smiles coldly and kneels in front of them. He pushes his hair back behind his ear when the bandit's angry wide eyes turn up to him.
Even in this moment, that hint of desire still remains. A remnant of Scar's earlier compulsion, he knows- but he doesn’t need it anymore.
He has the bandit Aaron right where he needs them, and Jones and Jamie are in no condition to help.
"Maybe you should make sure you're speaking to another Human before you start saying such things," Scar says, his eyes flashing as the vines and flowers continue to grow. The bandit chokes and struggles but Scar's vines only pull them tighter to the earth.
Scar stands up straight again. "I was gonna just lead you three on a wild goose chase," he says, seemingly-amiable as he smiles dangerously. "But I think my Birdie was right, after all."
The Fairy lights grow ever brighter. "Jamie. Jones. Aaron. Farewell," he says flatly, watching as the haze consumes them. He watches the vines grow, pressing through their skin- blood prickling up around the blooms and thorns-
(Too far.)
Scar steps back, away from the three bandits- one being steadily cocooned with vines and two staring blankly ahead of themselves, no thoughts at all behind their eyes. He looks at them and feels nothing.
No guilt. No regret.
It’s not quick. Not merciful. It’s suffering and he’s not even slightly sorry.
(Is he any better than them, then?)
Scar’s gaze moves to the pile of bags, scanning over the fabric; some of them have suspicious red stains, some are torn and ripped, but Scar’s eyes stop on that child’s backpack once again.
They would have killed Tubbo, he thinks, and he turns around and walks away- leaving the vines to continue growing, spreading out from the body they consume and snake around the ankles of the broken people, to snuff out the fire, and before too long it grows into a thick bramble, blocking the clearing from sight.
Scar doesn’t return to camp until hours later, when everyone else is asleep.
(If a human loses their humanity, are they still human after all?)

DC Comics Adds 3 ‘New Golden Age’ Series
DC Comics’ The New Golden Age banner will soon boast three more series spearheaded by Geoff Johns. Alan Scott: The Green Lantern hails from Tim Sheridan and Cian Tormey, Jay Garrick: The Flash hails from Jeremy Adams and Deogo Olortegui, and Westley Dodds: The Sandman hails from Rob Venditti and Riley Rossmo. According to Johns, the three 6-issue miniseries will tie back into Justice Society of America and some other titles that DC is brewing.
Alan Scott: The Green Lantern will, through a timeline twist, revisit and recontextualize “the origins of the first Green Lantern through the lens of our modern understanding of the man. The story, which begins in the 1930s, is about an old flame – the kind that burns eternal – and the sometimes head-on, single-track collision of our personal and professional lives. This is Alan’s coming-of-age, in which he must embrace the man he is, to become the hero he’s meant to be. In the end, he’ll have gained a greater understanding of himself and his gifts – as he unlocks a new, previously unknown ability that could make him the most powerful Green Lantern in existence!” (DC Comics)
Jay Gerrick: The Flash finds Jay reunited and trying to reconnect with his long lost daughter Judy, who is also a speedster. “They’ll need to work to find common ground when a mission that started in Jay’s early days as the Flash comes roaring to today. But will The Flash and The Boom be able to thwart a plan that’s been in the works for decades?!” (DC Comics)
Wesley Dodds: The Sandman follows the pacifist Wesley. “He has given up on the hope of a peaceful world, but he hasn’t stopped believing that people can be better to each other, if they’re only given the right tools. Possessing a scientist’s optimism and romanticism, he is convinced that humanity can invent cures for its own ills. Having learned about the battlefield horrors of World War I from his father, he sought to create a sleep gas that would allow for “humane” warfare. During his research, he recorded all of his attempts in his science journal - even those with horribly deadly consequences - swearing to never show them to the world. Now his journal has been stolen, and he must find the culprit and stop them before his deadly mis-inventions fall into the arsenals of the belligerent nations threatening to pull the United States into the next world war.” (DC Comics)

Geoff Johns’ “The New Golden Age” line will continue in October with miniseries focused on three of DC’s Golden Age heroes: Alan Scott: The Green Lantern by Tim Sheridan and Cian Tormey, Jay Garrick: The Flash by Jeremy Adams and Diego Olortegui, and Wesley Dodds: The Sandman by Robert Venditti and Riley Rossmo.
