Silently Falling

I always wonder if I still think of him as a friend or if I have feelings for him. Alleister and I have been friends for a long time since we were kids. Handsome, muscular, intelligent, and rich. He has everything. Alleister and I always go together when we leave and come home. He helps me in everything and he also helps me when I have a hard time doing something. When I get sick, he is always there to take care of me. I don't know, every day that passes when we're together, it's like I'm falling in love with him, but I ignore it because I don't want to ruin our friendship. I chose to remove these thoughts from my brain. I saw Alleister in the garden of our house planting flowers, the flowers he planted were beautiful to look at. The breeze was also fresh, but while I was enjoying the air, I didn't notice that I had been staring at Alleister for a long time. When he noticed that I was staring at him, he just smiled at me and went back to what he was doing. What's happening to me, suddenly I'm stunned by him and I can't get rid of the smile on my face when I see him. Do I have feelings for him? I shake my head at the thought. As the days passed, little by little I felt a change in his treatment of me. Before I didn't give meaning to everything he does for me, but now it seems that I feel something different every time I'm with him. I know I have feelings for him but I'm afraid that if I say it, he'll walk away from me and never talk to me again. I hid my feelings because I didn't want to ruin our friendship. A few months passed, and the depth of my feelings for Alleister continued, so I decided to admit it to him. I know it's not easy but I can no longer hide my feelings from him. I know that I had silently fallen for him, so I'll admit it. After I confessed to Alleister, I distanced myself from him. Alleister told me that he doesn't like me and that he only thinks of me as a friend and that's it. I was hurt by what happened, so I avoided him so that we could both think about it. After a few months we stopped talking, I didn't even leave the house because I didn't want our paths to cross. I was in the garden when someone rang the doorbell at our gate, I didn't pay attention to it. A little while after I finished working in the garden, I peeked at the gate and saw that there was a bouquet outside. I took it and entered the house, I saw a letter written among the flowers, I read it and found out that it was from Alleister. I smiled while reading the letter. Alleister apologized to me and said that if I could give him a chance to prove that he loves me, he would do everything just to return my feelings for him. A few years after I gave Alleister a chance, we are now happily together and I also found out that he has wanted me for a long time and he is just afraid that he might not be ready to fall in love. We are happy now and we know we love each other. We used to fall in love silently, but now we're telling the entire world how much we adore one another.

hey annie hope you're doing well! i wanted to ask if you could pick one song to describe haunted or like how the plot progressed what would you pick?

Hey anon! I'm pretty partial to the song "Haunted" by The Band Camino since that is where the title comes from. I feel like it really sums up how Jay and Hailey have been this constant in each other's lives, despite all the separations and heartbreak. They are always thinking about each other and hoping to get back to each other.

"Start Again" by Alex Borel and Maylyn is another song that really describes the plot, especially the second half of the fic. Same thing with "See you later" by Jenna Raine. And then the song for next week's chapter really describe's their progress and relationship. I'll let that song be a fun surprise though :)
