Would you be able to update us on you WIP's?

I'm not trying to pressure you at all (if you've taken a break or anything, please ignore this because I completely respect that). I really like seeing how writers progress behind the scenes. Sorry, that's probably weird, but I don't write myself, and I just find it interesing.

Gods, yes. If you want to see me blather on about my writing progress/process, you are in exactly the right place. That is...basically all I do here. I haven't written a lot in the last couple weeks. Most of my creative energy is going to my day job, and to art. But that should shift again soon so it's back to writing and art. ~State of the WIPS~ Currently Recording: - Under the Eucalyptus - Progress on this one is slow because I weirdly don't like this story anymore. I have been Assured it is quite good so this is probably just a weird funk. Also, I am tired all the time so haven't done much recording. If someone could please arrange for my state to not be on fire and giving me smoke-related breathing issues, that would also help. - a surprise fic from another author, if I can carve out the time. Or maybe another one from the bucket list. Currently Writing - Of Aquariums and Kelp - I wrote a teeny bit in this one the other day. I am looking forward to being SLAMMED with inspiration this week when my wife and I are going to THE aquarium in the story, which is one of my favorite places on earth. Fuck, I'm excited. We are going to sit in front of the big tank and draw, so if you see two folks doing that on Wednesday at your favorite aquarium, feel free to go say hi and see if there's a mer!sirius on their art pad (Or monster ladies. My wife really likes to draw monster ladies). Currently 13k and maybe halfway through writing this one? - Quiet Rebellions - I've made so many quality edits to this story, which contains my oldest and most amateur writing, with a slow gradient up to some of my best writing. The earlier parts are much better now. I think I really just have to finish the last scene. So that is THRILLING. 95% done, fuck. Have I mentioned it's 183k? Yikes indeed. Be prepared for my beta reader and the podfic to take a while on this one. I would say we will be lucky to get this one posted in 2021. - Return - Untouched since the last WIPS update, which is sad, but it is going to move up the list soon, considering the progress on the above. I know I've said it before, but this story is super exciting! A real action/adventure page-turner. Currently Plotting NOTHING, I swear. Well, the one I told you about last time, but I am determined to finish two of the above WIPs before I touch that one.I am excited to have only two writing WIPs at a time lol. Currently Arting - that's right, a new WIPS update section, Arting. It's relevant because I hope you know I fully intend to paint every podfic cover from here on out, and if it takes me a year to do each one we are in big trouble. - I have done half the art for Under the Eucalyptus, which involved drawing a silhouetted landscape thing that I don't know the art terms for. The second half involves a vivid sunrise, so as soon as I figure out how the fuck to do that in any medium, progress will be made. Markers didn't work. Watercolor? Maybe. That is what I'm doing today. - Generally speaking, my watercolor skills are coming along, surely but slowly. I can do...colors. On...paper. It's fun! - The drawing skills are a bit slower to come, but I did draw a very nice lil Padfoot and some giraffes and a eucalyptus tree for the above fic cover, none of which I hate. My wife actually said the giraffes were "very exquisite" and she never praises my art, so. These are some fucking good giraffes. - I just realized this week I have more Mer art I never uploaded. I have no reason or excuse at all. I just kind of forgot. Um. I guess I should do that. It's a super cute one of the whole Mer pod including baby Hari! Thank you for this ask.
