. Also was haben wir hier?: Zwei verschiedene Titanen Legionen (Titanen Geschichte incomming), üble Gegner, fiese Charaktere und eine Menge Action. Ich sag nur: Empfohlen! . #warlord #warlordtitan #titans #40k #reavertitan #warhoundtitan #whtitan #wh40k #warhammer40kromane #warhammer_40k #warhammer40k #warhammer40kartwork #artwork #coverart #collegiatitanica #adeptusmechanicus #mechanicum #mechanicus #imperium #tyranids #tyraniden #blacklibrary #htb5045 #htbbuecher #htbbooks #davidannandale https://www.instagram.com/htb5045/p/ByS1RM3isRj/?igshid=alw2wqi9eqql

Just some scribblin' around, thinking about cold war missile subs again - some kind of abstract visualization based around the role these things played in the nuclear deterrence game Second one is because I wanted to do something based on the other fav, but ended up focusing it more on the missile system itself

Another one down, this time a duo based on the Yak-141 and the X-36 testbed (yes the latter really is that tiny!!) More of a "Maschinengeist" interpretation, based a bit on an older piece of mine (where the innards split and morph to form weapons and such.) Edit: have this bonus detail shot:

In memory of Olga Gilmanova "Silverplane"...
On November 13, 2020, the aviation community has lost a great friend, a passionate artist, a lover of all things metal and winged whose engines roar and sing as they carry us skywards... And in my eyes, she was also a bridge between nations, past language barriers, bonding us through a mutual passion for art and aviation. Her passing is sudden and tragic, but she left a great legacy in her wake. May we continue to forge friendships across oceans, and carry forwards the positive energy she has brought to this world...  She will be missed. https://vk.com/wall-76992071_177143

A little something for a collaboration project... And some lesser-known aerospace history for you all today :)
More info & some photos below the cut:
The X-20 is an interesting little project from the Cold War era - the "secret Air Force shuttle that never was." Its project name was "Dyna-Soar," from "dynamic soaring," based on the way it would glide back down to the Earth for re-entry (which the later Space Shuttle ended up using.) It would have been the STS but nearly 20 years earlier! The idea was a bit too ahead of its time, and it ended up being cancelled. Its maiden flight was scheduled to be in 1966! Its modern descendant would arguably be the X-37B - while unmanned, that shuttle runs a similar mission as what the X-20 was designed for.  Some additional photos, you can find more on Boeing’s website: https://secure.boeingimages.com/archive/Boeing-X-20-Dyna-Soar-with-Wing-Skin-Removed-2JRSXLJ8BG69.html Background image source, originally from NASA: https://www.caltech.edu/campus-life-events/master-calendar/the-future-is-cloudy-nasas-look-at-clouds-and-climate

Hawker "Sea Fury” Machinengeist!
And some photos.
Decided to make it out to Planes of Fame this year..! There was a nice overcast sky for the flightline walk for photos (ALWAYS come early for the flightline access,) which then cleared up right in time for the actual show.
The Sea Fury is a personal fav of mine (well ok I have a lot of faves, but let’s say “a big fav among production piston-powered aircraft, haha.) They had some of the Reno race-modified Furies as well - really cool to see those evolution of an old type fly!

Another Sea Fury appreciation post!
There are so many cool little details on this machine, that I wanted to share some of those shots. I guess this thing is my “featured aircraft” this year, ahah.
Photos taken at the Planes of Air Show, 2019.

Planespotting at Nellis AFB (we had a day to burn between Camp RZR and SEMA - we were all chilling so I figured, why not chill by the base! There was some fine planespotting going on - I don’t have many photos but the B-1 lancer pair and the lone A-4 skyhawk were highlights for me!)

Inktober 21 - [Insert "Rocket Man" lyrics here!]
Imagine these ethereal Maschinengeister, like great spirits of spaceflight days past, endlessly wandering our system.
When a spacecraft happens by, they might find themselves in the presence of one of these beings, accompanied by them for a short while, without any words exchanged between them, but with the crew knowing that they were in their protection - until the Geist would send them off at the edge of the solar system, as a gesture of good will and good luck in those starry seas beyond...
