New third sector at the Marina Bay Street Circuit
Old layout:
The picture above shows the Marina Bay Street Circuit as it was used 'til last year. But this year they changed and shortened the third sector. The iconic chicane under the stands is gone and this means corners 16 to 19 are history. Now it's just a straight from turn 15 to 20, which should provide a new overtaking spot in front of the former turn 20 (now turn 16). I don't really know if it will really generate more overtakes, because I don't think that the last chicane is really made for overtakes, but let's just wait and see. I just think it's unfortunate that an iconic corner, like the one under the stands, is completely gone now. After another iconic corner (yes I'm talking about the Singapore Sling chicane), that's the second track change in the history of the GP of Singapore.

Formula One Fever
This wasn't taken in the race circuit but at one of the venues where the car was showcased. The fences around the Marina Bay Street Circuit are simply too high. I won't be able to get such an unblocked view of the cars unless I were a press photographer. Yet even then, the angle of view would still be rather restricted.
