The idea that Mettaton knows about the amalgamates and that's why he and Alphys aren't friends anymore drives me insane and it's an interpretation no one can change my mind about
#MTT knows the reason Asgore hired Alphys was bc Asgore saw that Alphys had made a vessel a soul could be put into (MTT)& thot itd be useful#the fact we know from her logs that Alphys and Mettaton were still on speaking terms *during* the amalgamate experiments#the fact that MTT could probably see the true labs elevators shaft from his hiding spot in the wall#(i made a diagram showing this once but I'm too lazy to find it)#(point is idk why Alphys would choose that spot for MTT if he doesn't already know the elevator's there)#the way his 'all so you would think she's the great person...that shes not' bit kinda implies he doesnt think Alphys is great like. morally#the way the game refuses to give us a clear answer about their falling out#adrien says stuff#utdr#Mettaton#Alphys#headcanons analysis au ideas and such#edit-also his ''Since the flash of light [Alphys]'s been working hard to set everything right.
