Can you write about Fire Emblem Heroes please? Write about Yandere Micaiah x sad depressed summoner?
-Micaiah feels quite disconnected from most of the other heroes. Though she is close to Sothe, she doesn't think about him all hours of the day like she does about you.
- It hurts her to see how miserable you always seem. You smile is strained with others. Its only when you are with her that you seem to have a genuine smile. She is certain that she was summoned to make your life a bit better.
-She is careful to not cover topics that might make you spiral. It hurts her so deeply when you're upset. If she could make all your hurt go away she would, but there isn't a spell she knows to cure depression.
-Instead of just being supportive, she looks into the future to see who might make you upset. She does her best to help you avoid these things at first, but she can't see everything.
-Since she has a good understanding of war, she has no intention to stand in the way of the Order helping the people. However, that doesn't mean that she wants you on the battlefield. You get pulled away from most of the strategy talks, and she chooses to send Sothe off to act in your stead. Even when the letters he sends though Feh are grim, she doesn't worry you with news of the battle front.
-Micaiah likes to keep you in your room with just her. Since you don't really like interacting with others, she is happy to just sit silently stroking your hair and for the most part you are happy with it too... she thinks.
-"Nothing bad will ever happen to you, my love. Even if everyone and everything falls apart around us."

The simple celebrations of birth Garreg Mach put so much emphasis on was just one of the many blessings the monastery had provided Micaiah. When it comes time to celebrate Leonardo’s namesday, Micaiah is only all too delighted to drop off his gift, in person no less! It may not be a tradition she can continue as Queen, at least not in public, but in her heart she very much wants it to be.
(She realizes, coming from a wealthy family, Leonardo may indeed have had such celebrations before. Perhaps one day they can talk of it. She would very much like that, if it was not too painful for him of course.)
Most of the things Micaiah thinks to get for Leonardo he already has – a bag for his quivers, a blade for sharpening the teeth of his arrows, even a pouch for rations; they were equally practical the two of them, and it made thinking of a gift quite difficult.
At least until she decided to splurge. It’s from her own money doing side jobs with the florist and baker in town so he has no reason to object, surely.
The spyglass she hands him is not as large as she would like it to be but it is clearly made from well-formed brass, and able to fit into one of his larger pouches when folded. Added to the top is an ornamental blue gem that Micaiah thought resembled the shade of his eyes.
“Happy birthday, Leonardo! I thought you might find something like this useful? Not just for academy related activities, either… I was thinking maybe we could go bird watching some time, if you’re at all interested. I just saw a small bird that looked so much like Yune the other day!”
Placing the gift wrapped box in his hands, Micaiah lingers a moment to feel the warmth there. “Thank you for everything, Leonardo. I hope to celebrate like this for many years to come.”
It is something new, Leonardo thinks, for him to get used to. Well, not entirely new, perhaps; he does, after all, still have the vibrant memories of his birthday celebrations in the form of lavish parties thrown by his father, with guests, feasts and presents galore. With the boy deprived of his mother since his early days, father did his best to fill in for both parents however he could. Back then, Leonardo loved it.
It was not until father and big brother had to answer the call to Ashnard's army, that he understood just how much he took it all for granted, and how alone he really was. For his thirteenth birthday, there truly was no one by his side; as it turned out, his friends did not remember about his birthday if there was no feast for them to attend in return. All there was was a satchel of gold, sent to him by father from the war front, "for my dear son to spend as he pleases in a celebration of his own."
In a stroke of prudence largely born of anxiety over everything that was happening, he saved most of it, only spending some on a new bow and quiver - which would later become the only things that survived the faithful night along with him.
Then, of course, came the days of the Dawn Brigade, where birthday celebrations were far from grand things - occasions to rejoice that one made it through another year more than anything. Whatever gifts they got for one another, if any at all, were usually small and practical: a new weapon, a piece of clothing, the works. Something to help them continue getting by. But Leonardo grew to appreciate it, just as much if not more than those parties of childhood.
All that is to say, celebrating his birthday in a time of peace, and yet not in a form he would nowadays consider unnecessarily overblown, is something of a novelty for the archer, but he finds himself looking forward to it
Although, the first face to approach him is a familiar one. "Oh, Micaiah!" Leonardo's face lights up at the sight of the well-known features, a sign of safety and hope for him and their family. Their hands meet as she hands him the gift, and he cannot help but wonder which part of this interaction he enjoys more.
"Oh, that is lovely. Thank you. Birdwatching sounds nice," he nods with a bright smile, something of a rarity from him even in times of peace - though a little more frequent in presence of someone like Micaiah. "I hope you'll let me invite you and others to do it together someday, then? It would be more enjoyable with friends, I think."
He finds that perhaps, the best present he can receive is the knowledge and reassurance that he is no longer alone.

I’m replaying Radiant Dawn atm because I am determined to save Pelleas this time. And I was trying to determine who to pair him with, because I already have supports figured out for all of my other characters…
Aside from one:
Ranulf
I always have a difficult time pairing Ranulf because while I would love to pair him with Ike, that position is already taken by Soren. Not only because I want all that juicy extra content, but because I love Soren and cannot stand the idea of Ike leaving on a journey without him
(Ranulf would be miserable without Ike but he could survive it. Soren would probably waste away, surviving physically but emotionally and mentally deceased. Still, I headcanon that Ran eventually tags along anyway because ot3 ftw)
ANYWAY
The point is that I can pair Ranulf and Pelleas. Does it make sense? Absolutely not. I doubt the two of them have anything to say to one another
That being said, I thing it’s fitting. I WOULD pair Pelleas with Micaiah, but Sothe already exists, and beyond wanting them to get married, I want that extra conversation between Ike and Micaiah that you only get with a Sothe/Micaiah A support
So by pairing Pelleas with Ranulf, I will be linking my two fave polycules together. My army will be led by Ike and Micaiah and their gaggle of husbands

TLDR: Black Knight and Bertram get to walk off being killed by Ike’s gaggle of latent homosexuality in between games, because reasons, but Petrine is forced to stay dead, she deserves justice! Also I go into some bullshit about her stats and Branded lore AND I have mathematical proof she’s more dommy than Nailah!
More below:
Now while I wouldn’t call myself the CEO of Petrine quite yet (still working on earning that title) I certainly would call myself a Petrine expert, and today I come to you with everyone’s favorite subjects; unit stats and headcanons for lore IS didn’t have time to actually finish.
Petrine’s stats in Path of Radiance (I’ll be using hardmode since the true ending basically confirms it as the “canon” difficulty) are incredibly standout, not just because she’s a fucking beast but also because they don’t make sense, at least on the surface.
Level:18
HP:43
STR:20
MAG:18
SKL:22
SPD:23
LCK:10
DEF:24
RES:19
(I wont be going over her CON since it’s essentially meaningless on a female character, iykyk but tldr IS has a real nasty habit of genderlocking a playable CON stat, Echidna who won the Binding Blade woman’s division is rendered useless in her starting chapter because her weapon is too heavy for her and the enemies she’s surrounded by double her to death because of it, she is a green unit, her surviving is mostly an rng check.)
So you might be noticing something here, why the actual fuck is a PALADIN a complete quality build between physical and magical stats?
(Besides IS wanting to give her a cool magic weapon of course, there are very few coincidences in Tellius, to such an insane degree that many of Radiant Dawn’s twists were figured out long before its release. The crumb trail of what is very likely Petrine cut content makes me sad.)
Here we dip ever so slightly into headcanons (I’ll try to avoid getting to deep into pseudo canon stuff) but the reasoning is almost certainly because of her brand (Tiger Tribe). Micaiah, a heron branded carrying Altina’s blood, can very notably cast magic without a tome (she also can cast dark/elder magic without consequence but thats not the point of this), the ability to cast spells you have a predisposed proficiency for without a tome is very likely not unique to her, rather what makes her special is the sheer power of the magic her body is capable of channeling.
Petrine’s weapon in Path of Radiance is the Flame Lance, it deals magical damage based on her abnormally high magic stat and is essentially a catalyst for fire anima combined with a weapon she’s comfortable using (S rank).
So it’s pretty likely Petrine can cast at least use some fire magic without a tome or other catalyst, but uses one for stronger spells to avoid the recoil on her body, and I just think that’s metal as fuck, like that shit’s fucking awesome.
(Which is why in Fire Emblem lore tomes break, they take on the spell’s recoil in place of your body, and also why Valentian mages are just built different and say fuck that. What likely differentiates Branded is that they can cast varying degrees of magic without suffering recoil to their body, in Micaiah’s case healing magic is incredibly straining so I like to think of Sacrifice more being her casting Nosferatu in reverse)
Nailah time; she has a husband, a Heron who she says is perfect for her and they are very cute together but theres something here of note. Heron’s (theres no info on the other Bird Laguz) canonically have hollow bird bones, I’m not kidding, Reyson breaks his hand punching Oliver in the face.
Reyson: I suffer more damage than my target.
Ike: What?!
Reyson: When I bashed Duke Tanas's face, he only suffered a bloody nose, but it cracked the bones in the back of my hand.
Ike: Holy.
Reyson: Indeed.
Ike: ...But it felt good, right?
Reyson: Oh, yeah.
Nailah is at the very least canonically capable of restraining her vicious Snu Snu to be gentle enough she won’t break her boytoy, which is REALLY fucking gentle, and while Petrine is probably also surprisingly healthy about kinky stuff (lets be real would she really consider it a “victory” if her partner didn’t want it?) I’m just saying even the strongest would prolly need a healer afterwards.
Also she would definitely put a collar on you, I know her constantly calling people dogs is censorship of her swearing her ass off in Japanese, but Japanese Petrine is probably also carrying some insane BDSM “lick my boots and hump my leg but I’m also viciously protective of you and really do care” vibes.
Also her tits are bigger than Nailah’s.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk/unhinged rant, please consider voting Petrine she is very pretty and deserves better than she got, and even though Nailah will prolly win all the way to first place I can at least hope it won’t be a one sided curbstomp.
If by some miracle Petrine comes out on top there will be raucous celebrations.
ima frame this post on my wall for posterity

I just found decade old speculation and theories on Petrine having some potential familial relation to Renning while looking for a way to try and randomize Trial Map characters into the base roster (sadly I don't think there is one), and holy shit I really like that theory as a headcanon?
Like theres potential there, a lot of it, so much political intrigue and drama to be had, and finding that while brainstorming a potential Radiant Dawn au with Petrine in the Dawn Brigade as a long term project just feels so right.
If I get over myself and build the nerve to start actually working on it, I will have to expand her backstory into untested waters eventually and I REALLY like the direction that theory went.
I’ll link the forum post if anyone is interested, I definitely want to give due credit, especially if I end up making the fic. https://forums.serenesforest.net/index.php?/topic/44745-petrine-speculation-spoilers/
But I guess that begs the question, is that something anyone would be interested in reading? It would in all likelihood end up with a relationship between her and Micaiah because I can't help myself, but I particularly want to give her interactions with Pelleas and further interactions with Soren.
Anyway sorry for the ramble, still no idea if anything will come of this BUT getting the idea out there at least a little bit will hopefully help motivate me lol.

Fódlan Skill Analysis
Sword
Lance
Axe ⇊
Bow
Brawling ➝ Budding Talent
Reason ⇈
Faith ⇈
Authority
Heavy Armor ⇊
Riding
Flying
Griss is, first and foremost, minmaxed to be a magic nuke. His magic growth is the highest in the game (tied with Anna), but unlike Citrinne who has a similar role, he can can take a few hits, especially if those hits happen to be magic (in which case they might actually do nothing to him... that 50% res growth is second only to Hortensia and Pandreo). However, all of his other stats are either average or below, and unlike the others in the Four Hounds who swap between magic and physical weapons, Griss solely uses magic. This seems to imply that he's good at one thing and one thing only: spellcasting.
However, I'd like to look at this in the context of Fódlan's system.
BOONS
Reason: Spells are cast from tomes in Elyos without any sort of visible sigils, unlike Fódlan's spells, yet Engage also does make an effort to include sigils for spells while characters are engaged with Emblem Celica and Emblem Micaiah. While I don't intend to go into the inner workings of Elyos magic in this post and would prefer to leave that to an open discussion with other Elyos muses, the tentative idea that I've been holding onto is that Elyos magic relies on incantation. The tomes themselves seem to only have words on their pages, too. For this reason, I think Griss might have some trouble with the transition to the more mathematics-based Fódlan magic and greatly prefer the use of traditional tomes if he can get his hands on them. However, he can still manage to get by with his immense natural affinity with magic, and the elements almost appear to bend to his will with or without a sigil to focus them.
Wind magic is his preference. Drawing some inspiration from an old HC I wrote about Jugdral magic and incantations, this would partially be because the incantations for Wind spells are shorter. Griss has subpar dexterity and speed, which I interpret to represent character traits like a lack of attention to detail and an overall lax demeanor. He doesn't have the patience to memorize large strings of incantations for one spell, so the shorter and snappier the better. Additionally, he has a below average base build and an abysmal build growth, so heavy books aren't for him either. Despite his bulkier stats, we never actually see him use thunder magic in-game, so I can rationalize this as a desire to be able to get out of the way of an enemy attack if he needs to. To try not to get doubled every time, that is. Holding a heavy thunder tome might get him killed, and contrary to his behavior, dying a pointless death isn't on his wishlist.
Fire magic is his secondary choice. It's a well-rounded, safe pick for more devastating magic than what wind is capable of. He has some experience with thunder magic, but no experience with ice and whatever Sagittae is supposed to be. Dark magic is also out of the question, as that's a fell dragon-only talent.
Griss has been honing his magic from a young age. It was likely necessary for members of the fell church to prove their strength as soon as possible, although I headcanon that magic was something of a last resort for him. He wasn't good at anything else he tried, and really wasn't good at magic at first either solely because of the amount of rote memorization and focus it required. Once he got the hang of it though, he intuited his way through the rest. Magic for him is half feeling, which explains his incredibly strong but imprecise spellcasting.
Faith: While this encompasses both offensive and defensive white magic in Fódlan, this is solely the ability to use a staff in Elyos. Fódlan's version also uses sigils to cast, but its grounding in literal faith makes Griss feel much more at home with it than with Reason magic. Healing magic is second nature to him, and I've written previously about followers of the fell dragon learning first aid as a necessity for their violent lifestyle. Griss prefers this to status effects, although I headcanon that he has an impressive ability to deconstruct and figure out what a staff does simply by looking at its engravings. Paired with his fearlessness, this means he'd be the first to pick up a foreign staff and wave it around until something happened. Although most of the time he grasps its effect within the first or second try.
BANES
Axes: They are simply too heavy for him to get any satisfaction out of using. He can probably swing one once and then struggle to lift it again. Not to mention he'd probably never hit his target. Where's the fun in that? He knows his physical limits.
Heavy Armor: Similar to axes but with the addition that he'd rather dodge a fatal blow and wind up with a nice-looking gash than be completely impervious to damage. He wants to get hit, if his opponent has the skill to hit him. Armor would make for a boring fight.
BUDDING TALENT
Brawling: Excluding the DLC Enchanter class, Gauntlets/Arts are the secondary abilities of magic-only classes in Engage. Griss wouldn't have a hard time changing to the High Priest class, which already uses Tomes and Staves like his default Sage class, and I believe that the reason he wasn't designed as a High Priest despite his religious affiliation is because he isn't leading anyone. He's a pariah even among those of the fell church, and most of his character hinges on being a follower rather than a leader.
Nevertheless, the up-close-and-personal style that comes with using gauntlets would suit him. More ways to turn someone into a bloody pulp, and more ways for him to get busted up too. It's a win-win. Gauntlets are also used more in a boxing/brawling style in Fódlan than the martial arts style of fists in Elyos. Not to mention that they're light enough for him to handle, are easy to hit with (making up for his dexterity), and get two hits on initiation (making up for his speed). Surprisingly, Griss has an average strength growth on par with other physical units like Bunet and Goldmary (compare this to the 5% strength growth of Pandreo and Framme, 2 of the cast's 4 natural Arts users), so he'd actually be able to do some damage with his punches.
All Other Classes
Sword: Similar to gauntlets, swords are generally light enough that Griss could probably take advantage of them without much of a penalty. Daggers would be even better. However, using a sword properly usually relies on stances, and daggers require precision, and Griss would get bored of both.
Lance: Requiring form and also being a bit more unwieldy to handle than a sword wouldn't make the polearm a first choice.
Bow: Its inability to attack at close range makes this an unappealing option.
Authority: He can step up and lead a small group if he has to, but doesn't handle the leadership position well outside of what would essentially be middle management. He'll lead a battalion if he's acting on orders from a higher authority, but long-term planning and organization isn't his thing.
Riding/Flying: He could probably handle a horse or a pegasus if taught to ride, but prefers the freedom of moving on foot. Would probably be a bit too erratic and scare everyone around him, especially if he's in the air. Absolutely 0 sense of personal safety.

I'm still at the start of PoR but PLEASE give me your trans tellius characters propaganda 💙💖🤍💖💙 (THERE'S NO PINK EMOJIS BEAR WITH ME)
I'm so sorry I don't have many trans headcanons besides Tibarn, I'm a confused cis girl who doesn't understand gender and I don't tend to think about characters' agab (even for my own OCs) 😭
Like I said, there's some vague support for Dheginsea (the dragon king) and Nailah (you'll meet her in Radiant Dawn), but they don't get a ton of character development. Some others I've seen people hc as trans are Ranulf (friendly catboy who helps out the Greil Mercenaries) and Sothe (Micaiah's second-in-command in RD). There are also some divine beings that show up in RD who are probably not trans but also probably don't have a binary understanding of gender.
Of course, if any of my followers have trans headcanons please share them 💙🌸🤍🌸💙!!!!

We’ve survived the month of August (though we can’t say the same for some of your muses)! Here’s to a new month and a new year for The Officers Academy!
Housekeeping:
Current Month in TOA: Great Tree Moon
Our 4th anniversary event, Sabbam Vitatham, has officially concluded! Once again, a reminder that with the plotline in the Officers Academy now deviating so much from canon, the academy will no longer be a one-year institute. Students can stay and study for as long as they wish, as long as they participate in their church-assigned missions every month. Of course, not everyone is expected to remain a student for life, so promotions to faculty are always available to you to continue your muses’ stories.
Please be sure to read the closing information for Sabbam Vitatham! While no new threads can be started using the event setting, you are welcome to create new epilogue threads about your characters returning to their homelands to make sure that everything truly was a dream.
Thank you to everyone who submitted and voted on our anniversary mission tasks! Our new mission board begins today, so check it out here!
If you haven't had a chance to look yet, take a peek at our recently expanded Rank Chart! Details of additions and changes can be found on August's newsletter.
Mentor signups are open! Please sign up if you’re interested in helping a newcomer get acclimated to the group. Of note: it is now a requirement to be 18+ in order to apply to be a mentor.
The feedback following a big event is some of the most important feedback we get. The more detailed you are, the better it helps us adjust and change things for future events and the group as a whole. Please take a moment to fill out this feedback form about Sabbam Vitatham.
Given the sheer number of claims anticipated with this monthly turnover, we’ve created a schedule to help keep them manageable for Rai. Claims that come outside of their allotted timeframe will be deleted, so please pay attention to the dates and groups:
9/1-9/2: Dedicated to regular claims. This is if you are ranking up in a skill after placing your August activity skill point into your stats page, mastering classes, etc. This does not include ranks from the Knowledge Gem, so please wait on those. 9/3-9/4: Team Ilia participation, grand prize, knowledge gem ranks. 9/5-9/6: Team Zofia participation, grand prize, knowledge gem ranks. 9/7-9/8: Team Nabata participation, grand prize, knowledge gem ranks. 9/9-9/10: Team Verdane participation, grand prize, knowledge gem ranks. 9/11-9/12: Team Rigel participation, grand prize, knowledge gem ranks. 9/13-9/14: Team Aed participation, grand prize, knowledge gem ranks. After 9/14: Normal claims resume
Important Updates:
The mod team has swept through our rules page and updated it with information that has become implicit within the group. Please read the page over again and refresh yourself on our rules!
We would like to call attention to the following rule on our rules page: Please stay as faithful to canon as possible. Headcanons and creativity are definitely encouraged, but refrain from too much canon divergence, such as changing or erasing large aspects of what make them who they are. We have had a number of repeat offenders breaking this rule and will begin awarding warnings and possibly strikes for too much canon deviance.
The spoilers ban for Fire Emblem Engage and its DLC has been lifted. You will no longer be required to spoiler tag story-related art or text

SEND ME HC + A WORD OF YOUR CHOOSING AND I’LL WRITE A HEADCANON RELATING TO THAT WORD! | closed!
Sothe's scarf wasn't always a scarf! It was a blanket he got around when he first met Micaiah. Sentimental attachment plus a lack of desire to be wasteful meant it got converted into a scarf, and he often sleeps holding it like a child would a baby blanket. It's very sentimental to him, so he tries his best to keep it in good shape despite its age.

going through CQ has me thinking how corrin/gunter would progress if i had the stamina to write that route on top of YRMR (for revelation). :P
obviously, i'm not going to write another 120k fic. [stares meaningfully @ myself lmao] but here's the bullet points i've been playing with for those interested ~
in general, i think corrin has a much worse time in conquest, and gunter has a worse time in revelation. there's ups and down to rev with corrin, but his longer absence in CQ meant she truly thinks he was, like, for real dead. in yrmr/revelation, she was honestly so distracted with the hoshido/mikoto/dragon stuff that she shoved her grief aside for so long that he came back before it really hit. (unhealthy in a different way but it does keep her going).
i deleted the scene in the fic since it was a little maudlin/cheesy, but lilith feels like she'd be the only one to realize just how hard corrin grieved for him, that very first span of days in the astral plane (in both routes).
cq!corrin, bluntly - feels like she's being constantly broken with the "tests" of loyalty that garon and iago force her through, so there's a lot harsher of an element to keeping her stoic game face on, much earlier. i think she honestly just numbs herself to any and all emotion between that and the grief and basically all the "constants" in her life changing given the new war campaign "for" garon.
once corrin finally re-joins him in valla, she just. breaks down in ugly sobs in his arms. she's a mess, he's almost a mess, and it's kind of a good thing that reunion was mostly private.
ironically azura's the first to know about their... thing. i see the three of them staying in valla overnight to at least catch up on [plot shit] and to speak freely for the first time in like, ever, while recovering from minor wounds from that battle. he totally holds her by his side. uwu
(imagine if corrin had told azura offhandedly 'oh he was like my dad' a few weeks before much like micaiah/sothe's 'he's my brother' and then azura sees. them all but canoodling. lmao. 'if whatever your deal is familial i will eat my entire pendant')
post re-recruitment:
i also think their relationship would, surprisingly, progress much faster than even in the rev route. corrin seeks him out nightly just for him to hold her through the night terrors and in one of those nights, they uh.... stumble into the sex, heh.
i also, hah, think it'd progress a lot "harder" in the kink sense - as mentioned above, corrin has a shitty, shitty time in CQ's route, and i think she'd seek him out as somebody she can safely 'break' with in those scant moments of uncomplicated happiness. cough [nods meaningfully @ the recent 'gunter is totes a sadist' headcanon] cough
i don't think he actually ever tells corrin about his late wife until after the war, or his whole motivation for killing garon. it's..... not great, in ways i actually feel like their relationship in yrmr/rev route is more open/honest? their dynamic in CQ is more ... two shellshocked veterans finding that spark of happiness and nonverbal trust in private vs in the middle of some truly crushing awfulness where they both have to keep their 'game face' on in public.
lategame:
so the thing is. i think kana's an accident in CQ vs them intentionally wanting a child post-YRMR, lol. (parts of it are funny ('oh shit what do you mean babies can still happen') and then parts of it are whiplash-y tragic when gunter's struggling with his feelings given his late wife/child. given he uh. hasn't told corrin about that yet. yeahhhh.)
i'm on the fence as to whether he blurts it out to her in the middle of all that (i can see their nastiest "fight" being here especially when hormones are going nuts, she's a little less patient with him than she is normally, and there's a lot of pressure there.)
corrin/gunter never actually outright tell anyone about their relationship (unlike in yrmr), even when kana's a thing. both of them really don't want iago and garon to be able to weaponise kana or their relationship - not that the stakes are higher here than in rev, per se, but there's much less margin for error. (kana knows who his parents are but is also instructed not to tell anyone, at least until before garon and iago are dead.)
tho i think azura explicitly knows because she'd be the one to suggest the deeprealms as a place for pregnant!corrin to go to for safety once when she can't hide it.
buuut it's obvious enough to the point when lilith dies in the eternal staircase that xander & co just give corrin to him immediately afterwards all 'make sure she doesn't crack ok'. she regresses a bit there - gunter actually gets to see a glimpse of what she was like before; just.... completely dead eyed. (i actually have an old piece of art that was one of my very first gunter/corrin strips that's just that entire scene. need to finish it.)
to that point i think lilith's death also hits hard because out of anything that's been a "constant" loving presence for corrin, it's the northern fortress gang. and lilith was iirc the one person to be there pretty much continuously even when corrin went over in hoshido.
interestingly i also think that gunter is ... while he's still focused on seeing garon dead, he kind of knows this is corrin&azura's endgame plan anyway, so he puts himself more as an advisor/supportive figure to help make it happen. he's quite good with long term planning, and i don't think anankos would have near the hatred or hold on him as happens in revelation.
anyway i haven't figured out post-endgame stuff yet (i totally want to see how anankos slots into this since the silent dragon still has a number of negative feelings to pull off on with gunter) but there ya go ~

Headcanons: Leonardo's Heritage
Tumblr media
I've been thinking a lot about these things recently, and finally decided to catalogue all of my ideas into a whole post. I've already contradicted myself once on this due to not having my headcanons properly sorted out, so :wahoorat: let's get this bread.
As a disclaimer, all of this is my personal thoughts. Aside from "Leonardo's mother died when he was little and his father & brother died during the Mad King's War", none of this is actually said in the game or dev notes. This is 100% my wheelhouse.
---
Full title: Commander Leonardo von Elessar, Duke Valory
Age: 17 (during the events of Radiant Dawn) → 18 (current)
Timeline:
Begnion Year 631: Leonardo is born. It has been 4 years since Ashnard's ascension to the throne of Daein.
634: Leonardo's mother dies from illness.
641: After receiving some initial education privately at home, Leonardo begins to attend Daein's top military school. He studies combat, strategy, leadership and everything else he will need, with focus on fighting the "sub-humans". From the beginning, he displays a special talent for archery.
644: Ashnard's preparations for war enter the final stage. Leonardo's father and brother are called to service. Leonardo usually lives at the boarding school during this time, but occasionally returns home, where he is taken care of by servants.
645-646: The Mad King's War begins and the events of Path of Radiance take place. In the end, Daein loses the war. Ashnard is killed, and together with him, Leonardo's father and brother. Soon after, as part of Daein's subjugation, the Begnion Occupational Army raids and destroys Leonardo's school, with everyone rounded up to be sent to a prison camp. Leonardo and a few others try to escape, but only he makes it out. He meets Edward, who saves his life. Some time later they run into Nolan, and then Micaiah and Sothe, and the Dawn Brigade is formed. During this time, Leonardo is unable to manage the family lands and doesn't know what's happening over there.
648: The events of Radiant Dawn take place.
Post-Radiant Dawn: Leonardo participates in reconstructing and rebuilding the Daein army, but does not yet feel knowledgeable and experienced enough to take command. Once the situation stabilizes enough for him to leave for a period of time, he travels abroad to Fódlan to complete his education. Having reconnected with some of his family's servants and retainers, he leaves them in charge of his family's lands.
---
FAMILY
Father: Otto von Elessar, duke Valory. A Paladin serving directly under Bryce of the Four Riders, and one of Ashnard's "most elite, handpicked soldiers", to quote the man directly. Proficient in spearmanship and archery. He will have been one of the lance-wielding Paladins killed by the player during the final chapter of Path of Radiance.
Mother: Juna Lorette, noblewoman from Nevassa. Her marriage with Otto was arranged, but genuine love between the two blossomed as well. Died of illness (in my personal headcanon, tuberculosis) when Leonardo was three years old, leaving her husband grief-stricken. Leonardo has only very few vague and unclear memories of her.
Siblings: - Michel von Elessar, older brother serving in the same force as his father. He was 11 years older than Leonardo, making him 24 at the time of his death. He will have been one of the bow-wielding Paladins killed by the player during the final chapter of Path of Radiance. - There was also at least one stillbirth before Leonardo was born.
Other: Leonardo did have some uncles, aunts, cousins etc. in the other noble Houses and families. However, he was not particularly close with most of them, and the majority of them perished either during the Mad King's War, or later as the Begnion Occupational Army was taking over - after all, removing a country's nobility is an important step in eradicating a nation. No one has attempted to make contact with Leonardo since the end of the fighting, and so he believes himself to be alone.
---
NOTABLE SERVANTS
Marion Tavang: Head retainer in the service of House Elessar. Handles all sorts of affairs, helps with the managements of the family's lands, and also played a role in Leonardo's earliest education when he was little, teaching him to read and count. Referred to by Leonardo as "Mr. Tavang" and in turn refers to him affectionately as "Young One", as opposed to the usual "Young Master" used by everyone else. Mr. Tavang has managed to survive all the wars in hiding and reconnected with Leonardo afterwards. At the moment he has fully returned to his work. Leonardo is in constant contact with him - if he's seen sending a letter home, it's probably to Mr. Tavang. (For his appearance, think... kind of like a white-haired Hanneman in a more formal attire. He would have Sage as his class.)
Daria Corvet: A servant to House Elessar, predominantly responsible for cooking for the family, but also helped raise Leonardo in his mother's absence. Leonardo thinks of her as something of an adoptive grandma, and she is also very attached to him. Also survived the wars and was sought out by Mr. Tavang afterwards, and gladly came back to work. Eagerly awaits Leonardo's return home. (For her appearance, basically think Cassita from Fates.)
---
VALORY
A province just to the west of Nevassa itself. Within its borders are both fields and a forest. The people living there grew oats and rye, held animals, hunted in the forest and gathered wood to make a living. While Daein overall is not particularly fertile, this area wasn't too bad.
The relationship between the Elessars and the people living on their lands has always been generally positive, with the dukes refraining from harsh rule or high taxes and doing a good job protecting their people from bandits.
The Elessar manor is located a half-mark from Nevassa.
During Begnion's occupation, as almost all men were put in prison camps, there were nowhere near hands to work, the fields were left to lie fallow; only now have the people been able to return to them. The family manor has suffered damage, with most of its valuables and riches stolen and either used to finance the Begnion Occupational Army or confiscated by the Senators.
After the war, Leonardo does not regain everything that was stolen, because life isn't fair like that of course, but a portion of the family belongings and fortune is restored - though he donated some of the latter to the reconstruction efforts immediately. As it stands, the Elessar manor is being renovated, the fields are being revived, and people in the area are picking their lives back up.
LEONARDO'S CURRENT STATUS & STANDING
As Leonardo never officially renounced his title, he is formally the Duke of Valory. Whether or not he will keep the title, he has still not fully decided.
On the one hand, he doesn't feel like he's prepared and suitable for this responsibility, he quite frankly doesn't know just how attached he feels to these lands anymore, and also staying means he will eventually be pressured into finding a wife and continuing his line.
On the other, he does feel a sense of responsibility for the people who live there, knowing that they survived the war in hopes that someone would return to take care of them, and at the moment, with the help of Mr. Tavang, he appears to be handling it okay, even while studying abroad. He is also aware that, should he want and need help from the Queen, Micaiah would not hesitate to be there for him - though he also believes he shouldn't trouble her with his affairs.
For the time being, he continues to hold the title as the last remaining member of the Elessar family. Once his education is complete (read: should I ever drop him), he will return home and that will most likely be when he makes his final decisions, taking full control of his life.

micaiah perhaps?
First impression
also do not really remember my first impression of her, it might actually be more of her combat stuff than anything jashbdjfhg
Impression now
she's definitely an interesting character!!! i should really play RD again though ajhbdfgh... maybe then i'll have more to say about her.....
Favorite moment
sometimes i think of the map right before the final one in RD (rebirth 4), Sephiran will not attack Micaiah, nor can Sanaki attack or be attacked by him... wagh.... i think of Sephiran a lot........
Idea for a story
i actually don't really have any story ideas for her, unless it were like... something in Engage or feh or something ajhbsdfjjbg
Unpopular opinion
idk how unpopular this is but i do Not like her bridal duo in feh. very weird.
Favorite relationship
i actually don't know if i've thought of her in anything more than a friendship.. the friendship between her and Sothe, or her and Pelleas, or her and Yune.. or her and Sanaki when they figure out each other's relations...
Favorite headcanon
also don't really have any for her, though i do think i've seen at least one for her before- i can't remember it though :(

I don't really get why people consider Geoffrey/Elincia to be a bad ending for her? Like unless you consider it to be incest, which is a stretch by Fire Emblem standards, he's otherwise a generally good guy, and she clearly has more chemistry with him than with Ike.
I've actually seen Ana claim the incest angle for them, which is indeed a massive stretch...especially seeing as she also likely self-ships Corrin with Ryoma.
The broad strokes answer is that Path of Radiance's supports set up a bunch of shipping dynamics that fans had already come to expect from the GBA games, which led to a lot of fic and headcanons in the two years before Radiant Dawn came out. The sequel follows through on just about none of these dynamics, and the handful of paired endings it does have mostly didn't go over very well on account of limited development. Ike/Soren being an obvious exception, but that pairing was and to some extent still is controversial for other reasons that have been covered exhaustively elsewhere. (Micaiah/Sothe is also fairly well-developed, but I can't say that that pairing ever had what you'd call a large following, even before the "Micaiah is a groomer" reading came into fashion.)
Basically, if anyone bashes Geoffrey/Elincia you can bet that they had some strong Ike/Elincia headcanons in 2006 or thereabouts that they're still really passionate about for some reason.

hi there! always lovely to see another ikesoren fan!
i have a couple questions regarding your opinions on things, just out of curiosity!
1. thoughts on priam being related to ike/soren through either one being trans?
2. thoughts on micaiah in general? ive found that soren fans (being one myself) are often very divided on whether or not they like or hate her, and im curious where you stand!
I don't subscribe to this headcanon, but technically there's nothing in the game that proves that Ike isn't trans (though he would have had to transition extremely young). For Soren, it is confirmed that his sex at birth is the same as his grown presented gender, due to being separated from his mother during infancy. What-if type AUs are fine.
Micaiah is a well-written flawed character, but she isn't actively malicious. I ironically find myself defending her from people who think she's unrealistically perfect by addressing her flaws.
