Decorate your koi with metallic markers to customize it to your imagination
I'll post a better picture tomorrow with sunlight but I finished repainting my koi lantern. Again. (I have developed a deep hatred of white decor between the time I originally ordered it and now lmao)
I finally got my koi lantern packs from @yuumei-art today! I bought 2 of them (the other one is white) and it's deceptively hard to make. Or rather, I think a better word is finnicky. Either way, I'm enjoying myself and it's looking stellar so far! Also, love how many different colour and intensity options the led lights have
My boyfriend got me one of those GORGEOUS koi lanterns from @yuumei-art -
Took me all the way since Christmas to slowly make my way to the finish line...Several fins ripped. There was much pain and suffering- (I've never been good with paper crafts.)
But in the end I'm really happy with how it turned out! ...Now I just have to find a way to hang this up...without breaking it further...Along with all these shells I got to go with it...
I'm especially happy with the cloud design I did! Definitely want to get another one...I have so many ideas on how to decorate them...!?? Oh no, this is going to be an addiction isn't it...
(Also...props to my bratty menace of a turtle for killing all 3 snails I put in her tank as a clean up crew- I can't say I'm...super happy about that?? But at least they will forever be remembered and preserved as decor with this fish-)
My koi from @yuumei-art Kickstarter arrived today. All the way to Germany! (And it worked as promised and I did not have to go to the customs office or pay any import fees).
I need to make something that will sit out from the wall a bit, possibly a small floating shelf and also get some white electrical tape to cover the cord
For the next two I also need to figure out how to get power to the other side of the room
I got 3 plain white koi cause I figured I could decorate them but I think that's going to depend on how often I want to turn them on, decorating will block the light, but without the light they kinda blend into the wall.
Ah well I'm going back to making doors before I do the other 2 so I have some time to think about it, I also might wait until the tutorial on decorating is added as well.
My 7th annual charity sale is happening right now on YuumeiArt.com/shop

I had a bit of an accident with my koi and the leds got yanked out, dislodging the fastening of a couple rows, which pissed me off a lot... So in typical ADHD fashion I pulled apart the whole thing and decided to color some scales while I was at it because I realized I didn't love the white look (it was the color that showed the leds the best, but also it looks sad and bland when not turned on)
Anyway here it is, remade with a bit of glue on the fastening parts just so it's sturdier

A Japanese Bob Tail Cat taking a fancy to some koi fish! The first of three Japanese themed floating island I have planned. (This is only one I've completed so far, and I hope to get to the other two this month) Trying to paint new things and experiment with these island pieces. Maybe one day I can paint environments without so much struggle.
