The way Vegas’ face fell immediately when Pete said he had nothing left in him anymore, not even his humanity. This is when he knew that he has gone too far.

But he still didn’t give in. Only when Pete said “I feel useless. I’ve always been useless. I never exist. I do not have feelings.”

Because he mirrors Vegas. Vegas also has always felt useless and like he never exists or that his feelings matter. He realises how Pete feels and why he feels so drawn to Pete. He immediately surrenders. Look how his face suddenly changes in shock (amazing acting by Bible) - he immediately disagrees with Pete. He calls his name to stop him from talking so lowly about himself. He knows what Pete is about to say. In this moment he truly understood Pete. And that scared him and made him realise that he does not want Pete to die. He has to be honest with his feelings or he will lose Pete.

I’m awarding 100 points to Porsche for (a) letting Pete lie to him and keep his privacy, and (b) allowing Pete and Vegas to meet even knowing that Vegas was the one who hurt Pete- which tells me that he could read both that Vegas is no longer a threat to Pete and that Pete doesn’t hate Vegas.

In other words, Porsche figured out that Pete is going through something like what he went through himself with Kinn in episode 5, and decided to wingman that situation. Which is incredibly fucked up of him and he deserves 100 points
