god i am like

100% gone on this stupid ship. i have never lurked a tag harder in my fCUking life yo. like Never. Ever. EVER. i am way too goddamn picky to lurk my faves and half the time they dont even fucking exist in any sort of productive way like, no one is writing for them so its a handful of old fics that i add to and then never look at whatever else anyone has going on bc like. again, Im Goddamn Picky

They’re laughing about something when Shisui gets this sparkle in his eye.

Kakashi latches onto the other teenager’s chakra as Shisui shunshins away. The Uchiha’s laughter echoes in his ears as he races to keep up, blood pumping in his veins as they race through the streets, the world flickering in glimpses all around. They zip down the length of Konoha proper, passing by at top speed. Shisui might be the master of the flash-step but Kakashi was trained by Konoha’s own Yellow Flash. It’s no easy feat but he’s able to match the Uchiha at a flat-out flash-step sprint.

They’re panting when Shisui stops running. Kakashi isn’t expecting the sudden stop and has to brace with both hands to prevent slamming them both into the wall. Both his hands spread out on the wall as he boxes Shisui in with his arms.

There’s a dazzling sort of smile on the younger man’s mouth.

“You’re the only one who’s ever kept up with me,” he says between soft panting. “Kakashi of the Sharingan.”

“You’re no slouch, Shisui of the Flash Step,” Kakashi says.

He doesn’t get a chance to catch his breath before Shisui leans in to kiss him.

Kakashi wraps the other boy up in both arms. It’s instinct to draw him in closer, now that he knows how much Shisui wants it. Wants him. The thought has bubbles rising up in his stomach.

Shisui wants him.

Kakashi wants Shisui.

The thought lands, that they want the same thing.

Kakashi pulls out of the kiss breathlessly.

They lock eyes and realize they’re about to ask the same question, at the same time.

There’s more laughter, then. Excitement.

“Do you wanna go back to my place?” Shisui asks, a formality, because the way Kakashi’s arms are tucking him closer is answer enough.

“I do,” Kakashi replies, dancing the dance of social niceties for Shisui, his raven-haired boyfriend about-to-be-lover. “I really do, Shisui.”

“Hang on.”

The world spins again and they’re off the streets, and in Shisui’s apartment. There’s no time or words wasted as they close the space between them. Hands find clasps and buttons, nimbly divesting each other of clothing, until all that’s left is the bare skin and naked desire flush in pale cheeks.

“You look,” Shisui starts, at the same time Kakashi mumbles, “beautiful.”

They pause, sharing a glance, and laugh at each other.

It feels so natural.

“I thought I’d be scared,” Shisui confesses as they tumble back together on the bed. “But now that I’m here, I just want to…”

The words get caught up, what he wants to say, what he wants to do, with Kakashi. But Kakashi reads the silence, and the way Shisui’s body boldly implores him, one thigh falling open, and there’s no need to explain.
