Wendy and Julie are Kimberley's younger cousins and the coats Wendy and Julie were wearing during the train scene are both hand-me-downs from Kim.
🥺🥺🥺
God this is so cute!! I remember getting hand-me-downs from my aunt, so this feels super relatable!!!

Zepotha just doesn’t work. Aside from it being a marketing ploy. Who is the production studio, what’s the story, who are the actors.
It being some forgotten/straight to VHS 80s movie isn’t an excuse. It’s neglecting the actual inspiration. 80s slasher films had established production teams, plenty of actors would be in random bit parts in small movies, AND THE SPECIAL FX TEAM! The Goncharov crowd understood this and knew Scorsese’s work. The built around this narrative.
Throw in a producer name like Lloyd Kaufman, Brian Yuzna, Julie and Roger Corman
Maybe a studio was New World Pictures, Concorde Pictures, Manson International etc.
God makeup crew, maybe this was something Robert Short worked on, Larry Carr, Bill Munns, hell you wanna go with a bigger name Tom Savini or Greg Cannom.
Have some respect for the Genre

The biggest disappointment of all is 1996s Vampirella part of showtimes Roger Corman presents, everything was all wrong , the costume, the plot, the continued use of stock footage from other Roger Corman movies. And as much as I think Talisa Soto is a very attractive woman she did not fit the bill as vampirella . The part should’ve went To Julie Strain a more capable and would’ve been a good choice in the lead role. And then a hammy performance by Roger Daltry as VLAD ( Dracula)with small parts by Angus Scrimm as vampis step father. Forrest J Ackerman with a blink and miss it cameo. The Director Jim Wynorski even hated doing this. It cost a measly 1 million dollars to make. In movie terms that is low budget. Vampirella was originally going to be made in 1976 by Hammer films with Barbara Leigh as Vampirella and Peter Cushing as pendragon. But hammer went bankrupt and the movie was never made. Do when I heard they were doing this vampirella movie I was excited, finally they are doing a vampirella movie. I still subscribed to showtime just for this . Ugh !what an upset. The movie was about 80 minutes long, but then the later cut was a bit longer and with Forrest J Ackermans brief cameo. What a waste and since then there has been no talk of a reboot. Vampirella needs to be done right. With the right actress and a decent plot and budget. As for the Roger Corman series most of the movies shown were pretty decent like the Black Scorpion and wasp woman . But boy did they foul up Vampirella in a big way.

The FF was my entry drug to Marvel so if nothing else, there’s always been something sentimental in my feelings for the book and other media spin-offs. I even liked, for what it was, the Corman license thing.
But this… well, based on what I’ve seen of 3/4, it better be worth their talents. Pascal and Kirby at least deserve better than the Mandalorian* and MI7 respectively. (*I like the Mandalorian despite recognizing that Pascal was underutilized, less so Kirby in MI7 because that was a POS and it was like she knew it while shooting it if not before.)

Saturday the 14th: 1981
American comedy horror film starring real-life husband and wife Paula Prentiss and Richard Benjamin, co-written and directed by Howard R. Cohen and produced by Julie Corman. An all-American family inherits a deceased uncle's house. John and Mary Hyatt, together with daughter Debbie and son Billy move in, but Waldemar, a vampire, and Yolanda, his wife, want desperately to get into the rundown house because it contains a book of evil. Billy finds the mysterious book. He reads of a curse hanging over the date of Saturday the 14th. As he turns the page, a monster is unleashed and with each turn, another disappears from the page and is materialized within or outside the home. The house is soon swarming with monsters.

Resting up for the 2nd night of the Job Bob Briggs Drive-In Jamboree. Tonight is the the taping of The Last Drive-In with the legends Roger and Julie Corman, and before that Chris Jericho and his band Fozzy (in this photo, I desperately want him to grab a saxophone and play "I Still Believe"). I tapped out before 11 last night, yesterday was a work day, so I didn't get to see the short films. Plus some people near me fired up some nasty-ass skunkweed and I got a wicked headache. It's a weed legal state people, it's delivered to your door, spring for the good shit and spare the rest of us. Taking my weed oil to stay relaxed tonight, hopefully it won't happen again. Maybe a flask of whiskey, if I can find the flask, it's buried in the second-bedroom-slash-storage-unit. I don't plan to leave my seat tonight unless my bladder is bursting - went for the bathroom and M&Ms last night and wound up watching half of the first movie sitting on the cement because I couldn't find my fucking chair when I got back. It's dark, almost everybody's chair is black and almost everybody is wearing black. Wish I had glow sticks to drop in the cup holder to help me tonight, but oh well, lessons learned for next year when hopefully it will be held somewhere I can attend again.
