This is unhinged.
No, not the speculation that Epstein didn’t kill himself. Most people don’t think he did. The unhinged part is that the very guy who hired the people responsible for keeping Epstein safe, the same guy who was accused by multiple people of raping girls with Epstein, the one guy that had the reason and the ability to see to it that Epstein didn’t survive the night, that guy is now saying “yeah, maybe he was murdered.”
Does Trump even know what the executive branch does? Does he remember he was in charge of it when Epstein was jailed?
[Another angle here could be that trump knows damn well what happened & he’s setting Barr up for a fall. Barr was connected to Epstein as well—Barr’s dad gave him Epstein first job teaching high school, which he wasn’t qualified for, and it’s speculated that his blackmail business started there. Either way, this should be a major story right now, but it’s buried under the mugshots.]

Old-style Paedoing, Before It Got Such A Bad Name
Epistemic status: understanding the recent past, which I wasn’t around for, mainly through the lens of comedies, rumour, and scuttlebutt
The story goes that it was an open secret for many years that Sir Jimmy Savile, knight of the realm, was a horrible sex pervert before it all came to light and he was declared a posthumous monster. And this is true - but the specifics are rather vague.
A lot of sources (or, as they are now, brave prescient voices) were bang-on certain he was into some kind of sex crime, but weren’t sure exactly what. Viz simply painted him as a man whose (unspecified) confessional was worth hearing. An early Mitchell and Webb bit came in on some shocking report midway through, leaving the actual deeds as a noodle incident but quite clear they were appalling: ‘you think you know a guy, and then he goes and does something like that.’ Even Johnny Rotten, back in ‘78, went no further than charging him with ‘seediness’ and saying ‘I know some rumours’ in an edgy-kid stream-of-consciousness about all the people he’d like to kill, where he displays a bit too much knowledge about what does and doesn’t constitute libel.
The general charge, if any, seemed to be necrophilia. Lee and Herring’s bit where they dressed as Savile ended with the punchline ‘bagsy I take him to the morgue’. One of Irvine Welsh’s earlier novellas has a Cornish Savile-alike wantonly indulging in any corpse he had access to - Welsh’s version is a more general TV personality rather than specifically a children’s entertainer, probably for fear of litigation. This was no idle fear, Savile was well-known for taking such insinuations courtside, and of course he did sue when Chris Morris falsely announced his death on Radio 1, with the coda ‘the patients [at Savile hunting ground Stoke-Mandeville Hospital] are far from mourning...The majority, if not all of them, are extremely relieved that he’s now dead, although I suspect that some of them will be sorry that he didn't suffer a great deal more’.
Interestingly, Lee and Herring - as they’ve stated publicly - weren’t brave prescient voices. Hanging around Television Centre in their mid-twenties, they’d become aware of this - to them, absurd - rumour that Savile troubled the corpses. They decided that if nothing else it was game for a laugh, presumably with a BBC lawyer standing nervously in the wings and demanding they not get too specific.
Until Savile’s death, this remained a rather murky Soviet truth, and Savile himself remained a respected public figure. Within the third millennium, even as Chris Morris was being castigated for the Paedogeddon special of Brass Eye, BBC brightly-coloured-blobs children’s show The Tweenies had one of its blobs dress up as Savile as a bit of lighthearted fun - in an edition of the show which was, unwisely, repeated in 2013.
(Side note: the same tabloids which threw an ape over the obviously satirical Paedogeddon regularly ran pictures of topless 16-year-olds, until a change in the law in 2003 forced them to stop.)
It’s all out now, of course, but like the sun is one of those things people are wary of looking at directly for fear of the damage it could do. Savile made full abuse of his position as a public figure, to the point that he himself admitted to the necrophilia in idle conversation. Even by the loose standards of the British constabulary they admit there were over 200 actionable complaints made against Savile over the years.
The crux is this - Savile having committed all these beyond-the-pale acts becomes a very convenient way to paper over the point at which, in the broader consciousness, paedophilia went from ‘crime’ to ‘unforgivable, lowest-circle-of-hell crime’ in the vein of necrophilia. Because it was far more acceptable not too long ago, as many legendary musicians can attest. Gary Glitter generally just seemed shocked people were suddenly taking it so seriously - as did Jeffrey Epstein.
Louis Theroux’s rather regretful pair of documentaries about Savile has the man himself being quite blase about his attitude to underage girls - as were the girls themselves, some of whom, while young at the time, were by their own account quite aware what might be on the cards. Does this make them culpable? Of course not, they were children. But there are those who would disagree. At the time, many would have and did disagree - including, quite likely, serving police constables. The Rotherham grooming gang, so beloved a talking point of those who just want to have a go at Pakistanis in general, were enabled top to bottom by a police force who considered their victims to be ‘slags’.

Episode 176: The Deepest Dive on The Jeffrey Epstein Conspiracy Photodump
Image 01: Jeffrey Epstein was a NYC financier who ran in powerful circles, managing the bank account of billionaires. Image 02: One of Epstein’s clients was Adnan Khashoggi, a Saudi Arabian arms dealer, intelligence agent, and businessman known for his lavish lifestyle. Khashoggi’s yacht (pictured) was the largest in the world and even had a morgue and operating room aboard. Image 03: In 2008, Epstein was under investigation by local police and the FBI for possibly sex trafficking underage girls. The abuse was so often and regular that victims were able to describe the shape of Epstein’s genitals. Image 04: Despite a mountain of evidence, the US attorney, Alexander Acosta (pictured) decided to give Epstein a lenient plea deal in exchange for “information.” As per the agreement, all of Epstein’s co-conspirators would be protected against future charges. Image 05: The plea deal never sat right with the local Palm Beach community. Local news questioned why Epstein was allowed to leave the country ahead of imprisonment. Image 06: In 2019, Epstein was arrested on suspicion of international sex trafficking once more. His cellmate was Nicholas Tartaglione, an ex Brooklyn cop convicted of murder. Image 07: On August 10, 2019, guards found Epstein unresponsive in his cell with a cloth noose around his neck. Epstein was supposed to have a cellmate, been on suicide watch, and be filmed 24/7; However, his cellmate was not present the night he died, guards did not complete their rounds, and cameras were mysteriously off or had unusable footage to reveal how Epstein took his life. Image 08: Epstein’s neck had bloodied wire-like lacerations, but the noose around his neck had no blood on it. His Hyoid bone was broken, more in line with strangulation than hanging. Image 09-10: Senator Sasse presses the Director of the Bureau of Prisons on the mystery surrounding Epstein’s death. What do you guys think? Did Jeffrey Epstein kill himself?

sooo, updates on what could have easily been one of the most outrageous and important international criminal & corruption cases of the 21 century which weve heard suspiciously little about; you know, despite this being some of the most batshit insane crap to come to light in our lifetimes:
Tumblr media
The Paris prosecutor's office confirmed to ABC News that Brunel was found dead in his prison cell around 1 a.m. local time at La Sante Prison.
The prosecutor's office declined to confirm those details of Brunel's death.
In December 2020, Brunel was charged with rape of minors over the age of 15 and sexual harassment -- a crime in France.

Epstein Victim Who Testified Against Ghislaine Maxwell Has Died—and Her Family Wants Answers
Carolyn Andriano, a victim of sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein whose testimony was crucial to putting away his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, has died.
There was no obituary or funeral service after she died earlier this year, and police in West Palm Beach, Florida, opened an investigation into her death. After The Daily Beast reached out for comment, police spokesman Mike Jachles told us that the investigation was concluding and that Carolyn died of an accidental overdose.
The 36-year-old mother-of-five had planned to start a new chapter in North Carolina, at a new house with a fireplace and half-acre lot with a chicken coop. Carolyn and her husband, John Pitts, had purchased the property just weeks before she was found unresponsive in a West Palm Beach hotel room on May 23.
Before her death, “she was ecstatic,” Carolyn’s mother, Dorothy Groenert, told The Daily Beast. “She was all set up for a whole new lifestyle.”
The way Groenert sees it, some things about her daughter’s overdose don’t make sense, and she wants cops to investigate further.
“It shouldn’t be closed,” Groenert said of the police investigation. “I begged them, I sent them numerous messages. I’ve asked for them to make meetings, contact me, and to no avail.”
Carolyn was one of four victims to testify at the Maxwell trial in December 2021, telling the jury that the British socialite had groped her and routinely scheduled her “massages” with Epstein, who molested her up to three times a week until she was “too old” for him at age 18.
She had confided in Maxwell and Epstein about her history of being sexually abused as a young child (by a relative at age 4) and of her family’s struggles with addiction. This emboldened the sick high-society couple to groom her and even attempt to bring her to Epstein’s U.S. Virgin Islands compound. “I told him I was only 15 and I couldn’t leave,” Carolyn said of Epstein.
...... now listen 🧐 maybe epstein did truly kill himself in jail (apparently his suicidal willpower and bad vibes was strong enough to shut off video cameras for just that night) and maybe these two died by their own hands too but BOY OH BOY there sure seems to be A LOT OF DEATH surrounding ONE OF THE MOST HIGH PROFILE SERIOUS SHIT INTERNATIONAL CASES TO HIT THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY OF EVER

idk I don't see Alicent paying that girl to be quiet as her "being political".
As a child bride herself she's probably very aware of how men - especially high born ones - have power over women, and what she said was true: the word of a servant girl was nothing against the word of a prince.
Dyana risked her own life if word got out - not just because she would likely be accused of perjury against the crown if she decided to move some accusations against the prince, but also because Aegon or Otto could have pulled a Joffrey and have her killed if she became a little too loud.
Even if Alicent wanted to give her justice she would be completely alone against a centuries-old patriarchal system, and she cannot overturn that on her own.
Hell, even if she tried I wouldn't be surprised if the lords sided with Aegon himself rather than Alicent despite her superior station - purely because she's a woman.
So what else could she do apart from consoling the poor girl, giving her some money (hopefully enough to leave the court) and making sure she wouldn't end up as a single mother?
Yes, she could have punished Aegon harder, but that should have been done, yknow, before he became a rapist (actually, Aegon growing up to be so fucked up is a whole other can of worms)
"Besides, even today we see that exact same behaviour (powerful men getting away without even a slap on the wrist for rape), so I am absolutely not surprised that no one did anything more for that girl considered how horrible women had it at the time"
I have to agree with you there. Perhaps pragmatic would have been a better word to use then political. She made a pragmatic move that she felt was best for everyone involved. Her tone changes from her genuine disgust in Aegon's actions and sympathy for Dyana to putting emotion aside to deal with this in a way that works out for everybody (although nothing can take Diana's pain and trauma away) I do wonder, do people think Rhaenyra would have gone into feminist mode if a girl had accused her son or husband of rape? would she have publicly supported the victim and brought charges against her own or would she have done what alicent did? I'd be interested to hear peoples thoughts
Sadly I think you're spot on about what would have happened to her if word got out. She would victim blamed at best and accused of perjury and probably killed or maimed at worst. Otto and/or Aegon would definitely have her killed to silence her, imagine if it wasn't Alicent but Otto that she went to? He would have killed her on the spot (although if you ask the antis alicent is apparently going around poisoning rape survivors as a hobby these days)
There's a lot that we could say about what could have been done to take preventative measures to deal with Aegon's issues before he became a rapist and it involves Viserys and Alicent taking equal responsibility for him but like you said that opens a whole other can of worms. I too, wish she could have punished him harder.
What you said in the second part of your ask is so true. Powerful men get away with a slap on the wrist for raping underage age girls in this day and age. Meanwhile the girls get no justice and have their lives ruined and if they're from a poor or working class background they get called golddigging whores and liars wanting 15 minutes of fame and basically just get their entire lives ruined for being brave enough to speak out. the Jeffrey Epstein case comes to mind and I compared this storyline to Prince Andrews case which happened in our time with the victim getting a settlement after years of fighting but no criminal charges were brought because he is untouchable. So yes a pay off and some moon tea to prevent unwanted pregnancy is the best dyana could have hoped for and it should make us all angry because this is the world of asoiaf and it is unfair for women especially your average working class woman.

September 18, 2019
Several years ago, the billionaire pedophile was in trouble. Lawsuits were being filed and there was a chance that another arrest would arise from the lawsuits. There was a person out there who was going to be a big witness for the victims. He had been having second thoughts about the things he had done with the pedophile and was willing to talk. He had been introduced to the pedophile through the connection with the royal. While not exactly a royal himself he was very tight with the brother of the royal - a brother who also spent time with the pedophile but has so far managed to keep all that fairly quiet. The brother is married to someone who is related to our witness. Everyone knew the witness liked women much younger than himself, but a decade prior had liked them to the point of being underage. So, how do you solve that problem? Well, two days before he was scheduled to give a deposition in the matter, the witness was killed and the culprit got a huge payoff and was never even considered a suspect because they were so good at acting.

Can you explain who jeffrey epstein was? Im not really aware of what he did but I've been seeing his name a lot recently.(version 2 lol)
Anonymous
17 Dec 2022
Epstein was a rich investment banker found to have trafficked women and girls in an international sex trafficking ring. He was friends with a lot of celebrities, politicians, and other elites. In 2019 he was charged for his crimes but then killed himself in his jail cell. Many people believe his suicide was actually a murder, sanctioned to keep him quiet and keep hidden the connections his elite friends had with his trafficking ring.

Jeffrey Epstein: Fifth and final batch of documents released
A fifth and final batch of court documents relating to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been released.
Among the 1,400 pages of records are depositions with Epstein and his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell.
This last trove shows Epstein refused hundreds of times to answer lawyers' questions, including about alleged blackmail of famous men.
The documents have been released as part of a lawsuit brought by sex-trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre.
The legal action, filed in 2015, was settled in 2017. Maxwell has since been jailed for 20 years for helping Epstein abuse young girls. She is appealing against her conviction.
The court records contain a transcript of Epstein's 2016 sworn deposition in which he repeatedly invoked his fifth amendment constitutional right against self-incrimination.
Under questioning, a lawyer for Ms Giuffre asked Epstein whether she had been told to provide a "detailed report" about her alleged sexual encounters with powerful men such as Prince Andrew.
The attorney asked whether this was intended to be used as "blackmail material".
Epstein refused to answer any of the questions, repeatedly responding by saying just the word "fifth" over 500 times.
Who is named in Jeffrey Epstein files and why?
Who was Jeffrey Epstein?
He refused even to say whether he knew Maxwell.
The Duke of York has previously told the BBC he had no memory of ever meeting Ms Giuffre, who alleged she was told to have sex with him on several occasions.
In 2022, he paid her an undisclosed sum to settle her sex-assault lawsuit against him, but did so with no admission of wrongdoing or liability.
In her 2016 deposition released on Tuesday, Ms Giuffre said she was paid between $10,000 to $15,000 (£7,900 to £11,800) for one sexual encounter with the prince.
She testified she had been paid $160,000 by a media organisation for two articles and a photo showing her with Prince Andrew.
Ms Giuffre also denied ever having been sex-trafficked to any "presidents", but maintained she was made to have sex with "a well-known prime minister".
She refused to name this person, adding: "If I can just say, I personally know that this is not a good person to talk about and I'm not going to, point blank, I'm not going to say his name."
Ms Giuffre also said there was another individual who was introduced to her as a prince - besides Prince Andrew - to whom she was trafficked in the south of France.
At times in the interview, Ms Giuffre said she was unable to recall details, including the time and location of specific alleged sexual encounters.
She said she had been using Xanax, an anti-anxiety drug, as well as ecstasy, cannabis and alcohol.
Other men she has said she was forced to have sex with include Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, Victoria's Secret boss Les Wexner, billionaire hedge fund investor Glenn Dubin, and former US peace envoy George Mitchell, all of whom have previously denied her claims.
In 2022, Ms Giuffre dropped a lawsuit against Mr Dershowitz and acknowledged in a statement that she "may have made a mistake in identifying" him.
On Tuesday, a spokesman for Mr Wexner referred the BBC to a previous statement from his lawyers in which he denied having ever met Ms Giuffre.
A spokesperson for Mr Dubin told US media last week he "strongly" denies the allegations by Ms Giuffre.
On Tuesday, Mr Mitchell repeated his previous denial of the claim.
He told the BBC in a statement: "The allegation contained in the released documents is false. I have never met, spoken with or had any contact with Ms Giuffre."
Ms Giuffre also said she was trafficked to American computer scientist Marvin Minsky and French modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel.
Minsky died in 2016. Brunel killed himself in a Paris jail in 2022 while awaiting rape and sex-trafficking charges.
The five batches of long-sealed Epstein court files released over the past week have contained few details that weren't previously known.
Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2008. He took his own life in 2019 while awaiting trial over sex-trafficking charges.

The Biggest Names from Jeffrey Epstein’s Unsealed Court Documents
The names of acquaintances and associates of wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein—including that of former U.S. presidents and British royalty—were released on Wednesday evening in a set of court documents that were part of a suit against Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015.#Epstein  #EpsteinList #Epsteinadasi #EpsteinClientList EpsteinIsland EpsteinFiles EpsteinDocs
The documents, the first in more than 200 that are expected to be unsealed over the next few days, are part of the defamation lawsuit filed by victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre. Maxwell has previously called Giuffre a liar after she alleged that Epstein and Maxwell had abused her. (That case was eventually settled in 2017, but Maxwell was later sentenced to 20 years in prison for recruiting young girls for Epstein to sexually exploit in a criminal investigation of Epstein’s acts after his death.)
Watch more from TIME Click to unmute
Names of figures that were previously associated with Epstein, such as Prince Andrew and former presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, were mentioned in the court documents, but there was little new information outside of what was already known to the public. Some documents had previously been released in other court cases, while Epstein’s high-profile contacts have been covered extensively in the media.
In December, U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska ordered the documents to be released, though she gave people until Jan. 1 to appeal the order in case they did not want their name to be revealed. The names of victims who were minors when they suffered abuse were not released, though some have previously spoken out about Epstein’s actions in media interviews.
Here’s what to know.
What the documents reveal For the most part, the documents say little about the actions taken by individuals outside of Epstein, though there is a 2016 deposition from Johanna Sjoberg, one of Epstein’s victims, that mentions politicians and figureheads in the U.S. and abroad.
While celebrities like Bruce Willis, Cameron Diaz, Cate Blanchett, Kevin Spacey, Naomi Campbell, and Leonardo DiCaprio are also mentioned in the records, they have not been accused of helping Epstein in any capacity. Sjoberg was only asked if she had met the aforementioned people, which she denied.
Connections to Epstein previously led high-level executives to resign from their positions, including Barclays chief executive Jes Staley. Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling agent suspected of scouting girls for Epstein, killed himself in a Paris jail in 2022 while awaiting trial for rape accusations.
The documents on Wednesday confirmed the scale of both Epstein’s alleged sex-trafficking ring and his powerful social network. Prince Andrew—the younger brother of King Charles III—was one of the names referenced in the documents, mentioned by a witness for touching her breast.
Andrew was also previously accused of raping Giuffre when she was a teenager. After a lawsuit filed by Giuffre in 2021 and amid growing public pressure, Andrew was forced to relinquish his military titles and public duties—even as he repeatedly denied the allegations. The two settled the lawsuit in 2022 after Andrew paid Giuffre an undisclosed sum of money.
The case against Epstein Jeffrey Epstein was a convicted sex offender who would lure young girls under the impression that they would be giving him massages that would then “become increasingly sexual in nature,” according to the 2019 indictment against him. Jennifer Araoz, one of the victims, said that Epstein would invite her to his house and pay her hundreds of dollars after her visit. While they initially spoke about her life and goals, he later became abusive, Araoz said.
Epstein had long avoided facing any consequences for his actions. He was first investigated for sexual misconduct in 2005 after a woman claimed that he had molested her teenage stepdaughter. Palm Beach police eventually charged Epstein with counts of unlawful sex with a minor in May 2006, but then State Attorney Barry Krischer sent the case to a grand jury, which indicted him with one count of soliciting prostitution. The charge was minor, leading to much criticism and causing the FBI to open a federal investigation against Epstein. But Epstein ended up serving a short 18-month sentence in 2008 for recruiting an underage girl for prostitution after he struck a plea deal with U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta to avoid being charged with any federal crimes.
Epstein later came back under scrutiny in 2018, after the Miami Herald looked at Acosta’s role in negotiating a short sentence for Epstein. In July 2019, Epstein was arrested after federal prosecutors looked at his behavior between 2002 and 2005.
The case against him revealed that the victims, some as young as 14, were paid to provide sexual services to him and his friends, and to recruit other young girls to his circle of victims. Epstein’s employees would also sexually abuse the young girls.
He was facing charges for sex trafficking and conspiracy in July 2019 when one month later, he died by suicide in a New York federal jail. The investigation continued after his passing, leading prosecutors to convict Maxwell for sex crimes in connection to her dealing with Epstein.
Here are other names high-profile mentioned in the documents:
Bill Clinton The former president was mentioned in the documents released on Wednesday, in Sjoberg’s testimony that Epstein had told her “Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.” She also said that she knew Epstein had “dealings” with Clinton but did not know they were friends until later media reports.
The former president’s ties with Epstein has long been the subject of media scrutiny—intensified in the wake of the financier’s indictment. The two had connected while Clinton was working on his nonprofit group the Clinton Foundation, and in 2002, they took a trip to Africa on Epstein’s private jet.
In 2019, Clinton’s office said that the former president did not know about Epstein’s “terrible crimes,” and that he had not spoken to Epstein in “well over a decade.” A spokesperson for Clinton told CNN on Wednesday that it has “been nearly 20 years since President Clinton last had contact with Epstein.”
Records show that Giuffre’s attorneys wanted to get a deposition from Clinton. Giuffre, the plaintiff in the defamation lawsuit against Maxwell, did not accuse the former president of doing anything with her, but attorneys saw Clinton as a “key person who can provide information about his close relationship with Defendant and Mr. Epstein and disapprove Ms. Maxwell’s claims.”
Donald Trump The former president—whose relationship with Epstein was also widely reported—was also mentioned in Sjoberg’s 2016 deposition. Sjoberg testified that she and Epstein once made an impromptu stop in Atlantic City due to poor flying weather. Asked if she had given Trump a massage, Sjoberg said no. Trump once called Epstein a “terrific guy,” but later said he had a falling out with him. “I don’t think I’ve spoken to him for 15 years. I was not a fan of his,” Trump said in 2019.
Michael Jackson Sjoberg recalled meeting late musician Michael Jackson at Epstein’s house in Palm Beach, but said no when asked if she had massaged him.
Sarah Kellen Kellen, Epstein’s former assistant, was named in testimonies of victims detailing their encounters with Epstein. She was said to have helped schedule his “massages,” which his victims said was a euphemism for sexual services.
A judge had described Kellen as “a criminally responsible participant” in Epstein’s scheme.
But Kellen was never charged and has remained out of the public eye. Kellen said through a spokesperson in 2020 that she herself had been sexually and psychologically abused by Epstein for years.
Jean-Luc Brunel Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling agent suspected of scouting girls for Epstein, killed himself in a Paris jail in 2022 while awaiting trial for rape accusations.
Giuffre said in her deposition that she was sent by Maxwell to have sex with Brunel “at many places.” The documents also say that Brunel would bring girls as young as twelve "to the United States for sexual purposes and farm them out to his friends, especially Epstein."
Bill Richardson Bill Richardson, the former governor of New Mexico who died in September, was also mentioned. Giuffre said in her deposition that Maxwell had instructed her to give Richardson a massage. In 2019, a spokesperson for Richardson denied he ever met Giuffre, according to Las Cruces Sun News.
Leslie Wexner Leslie Wexner, the billionaire founder of L Brands (which owns Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works), was also mentioned in Maxwell’s deposition. When asked if she had ever provided Giuffre with “an outfit of a sexual nature to wear for Les Wexner,” Maxwell said “categorically no.”
Epstein was Wexner's money manager and a trustee of the Wexner Foundation During an L Brands investor conference in Sept. 2019, Wexner called Epstein's action "abhorrent." Wexner says he cut ties with Epstein in 2007.
Glenn Dubin Hedge fund manager and billionaire Glenn Dubin was mentioned in the documents, with Giuffre testifying that “Ghislaine told me to go to Glenn Dubin and give him a massage, which means sex,” Giuffre said in her deposition..
Dubin has previously denied Giuffre’s allegations.
Dubin’s wife, Eva Andersson-Dubin, was also referenced in the unsealed documents. Maxwell said in her deposition that she was friends with Andersson-Dubin.
Alan Dershowitz Alan Dershowitz, Epstein’s lawyer, was also mentioned in the newly-released records. The documents say that Epstein forced a minor to have sex with the former Harvard law professor multiple times. The documents also say that Dershowitz “was an eye-witness to the sexual abuse of many other minors by Epstein and several of Epstein’s co-conspirators.
Dershowitz would later play a significant role in negotiating the NPA on Epstein’s behalf.” NPA stands for non-prosecution agreement, which allowed Epstein to avoid serving a severe sentence when he was first charged with soliciting a minor for prostitution.
“Of course I’m on that list, I was his lawyer. I flew on his plane,” said Dershowitz in a Youtube livestream after the list came out.
Marvin Minsky Computer scientist and former MIT professor Marvin Minsky was also mentioned in the documents. Giuffre said she was asked to have sex with Minsky when he went to Epstein’s island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Biggest Names from Jeffrey Epstein’s Unsealed Court Documents
The names of acquaintances and associates of wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein—including that of former U.S. presidents and British royalty—were released on Wednesday evening in a set of court documents that were part of a suit against Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015.
What the documents reveal
For the most part, the documents say little about the actions taken by individuals outside of Epstein, though there is a 2016 deposition from Johanna Sjoberg, one of Epstein’s victims, that mentions politicians and figureheads in the U.S.
The case against Epstein
Jeffrey Epstein was a convicted sex offender who would lure young girls under the impression that they would be giving him massages that would then “become increasingly sexual in nature,” according to the 2019 indictment against him.
Bill Clinton
The former president was mentioned in the documents released on Wednesday, in Sjoberg’s testimony that Epstein had told her “Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.” She also said that she knew Epstein had “dealings” with Clinton but did not know they were friends until later media reports.
Donald Trump
The former president—whose relationship with Epstein was also widely reported—was also mentioned in Sjoberg’s 2016 deposition.
Michael Jackson
Sjoberg recalled meeting late musician Michael Jackson at Epstein’s house in Palm Beach, but said no when asked if she had massaged him.
Sarah Kellen
Kellen, Epstein’s former assistant, was named in testimonies of victims detailing their encounters with Epstein.
Jean-Luc Brunel
Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling agent suspected of scouting girls for Epstein, killed himself in a Paris jail in 2022 while awaiting trial for rape accusations.
Giuffre said in her deposition that she was sent by Maxwell to have sex with Brunel “at many places.” The documents also say that Brunel would bring girls as young as twelve "to the United States for sexual purposes and farm them out to his friends, especially Epstein."
Bill Richardson
Bill Richardson, the former governor of New Mexico who died in September, was also mentioned. Giuffre said in her deposition that Maxwell had instructed her to give Richardson a massage. In 2019, a spokesperson for Richardson denied he ever met Giuffre, according to Las Cruces Sun News.
Leslie Wexner
Leslie Wexner, the billionaire founder of L Brands (which owns Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works), was also mentioned in Maxwell’s deposition.
Glenn Dubin
Hedge fund manager and billionaire Glenn Dubin was mentioned in the documents, with Giuffre testifying that “Ghislaine told me to go to Glenn Dubin and give him a massage, which means sex,” Giuffre said in her deposition..
Dubin has previously denied Giuffre’s allegations.
Dubin’s wife, Eva Andersson-Dubin, was also referenced in the unsealed documents. Maxwell said in her deposition that she was friends with Andersson-Dubin.
Alan Dershowitz
Alan Dershowitz, Epstein’s lawyer, was also mentioned in the newly-released records.
Marvin Minsky
Computer scientist and former MIT professor Marvin Minsky was also mentioned in the documents. Giuffre said she was asked to have sex with Minsky when he went to Epstein’s island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Names in Jeffrey Epstein court documents unsealed
New York federal court documents containing previously hidden names of people associated in some way with the late notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein began being unsealed Wednesday evening.
Many of the more than 150 people named in the civil court filings that are in the process of being released have previously been publicly disclosed as connected in some way with Epstein, who killed himself in 2019 after being arrested on federal child sex trafficking charges.
They include victims of Epstein who testified at the criminal trial of his procurer and former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell.
The documents were filed in connection with a Manhattan federal court lawsuit by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre against Maxwell.
The fact that peoples’ names appear in the files does not necessarily mean they engaged in wrongdoing.
Only Epstein and Maxwell have been criminally charged in connection with his long-standing abuse of girls and young women at residences in New York, the U.S. Virgin Islands and elsewhere.
Among the documents unsealed Wednesday was a deposition taken of Giuffre by lawyers for that suit and requests to take other depositions of other individuals by her lawyers.
One such request details how Maxwell in her deposition was unable to recall details about Epstein’s contacts with Britain’s Prince Andrew and former President Bill Clinton, who both had been friends of the pedophile.
Andrew in February 2022 agreed to settle out of court a lawsuit filed by Giuffre accusing him of sexually assaulting her when she was under the control of Epstein and Maxwell. Andrew has long denied her allegations, but his reputation has been wrecked because of them and because of his connection to Epstein.
Another Epstein accuser, Johanna Sjoberg, in a deposition unsealed Wednesday, was also asked about Clinton by Giuffre’s lawyer.
“Did Jeffrey ever talk to you about Bill Clinton?” Giuffre’s attorney asked
Sjoberg responded, “He said one time that Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.”
Clinton has never been accused of sexual misconduct with women or girls connected to Epstein.
A spokesman for Clinton, when asked for comment by NBC News, referred to a statement issued in 2019 that said he “knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York.”
The same statement in 2019 said that Clinton had not spoken to Epstein “in well over a decade.”
Sjoberg in her deposition, was asked if she ever massaged Donald Trump, another former president, who at one point was friends with Epstein.
On one occasion, she testified, she was on a plane with Epstein, Maxwell and Giuffre that landed in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where Trump had casinos, after the plane’s pilots said they could not land in New York.
“Jeffrey said, Great, we’ll call up Trump and we’ll go to — I don’t recall the name of the casino, but — we’ll go to the casino,” Sjoberg said.
Sjoberg also testified about an incident involving Prince Andrew at Epstein’s home in Manhattan, when Maxwell went to a closet and pulled out a puppet of Andrew, and then brought it to where the prince was sitting with Giuffre on a couch, and someone suggested taking a photo.
“And so Andrew and Virginia sat on the couch, and they put the puppet, the puppet on her lap,” Sjoberg testified. “And so then I sat on Andrew’s lap, and I believe on my own volition, and they took the puppet’s hands and put it on Virginia’s breast, and so Andrew put his on mine.”
Sjoberg elsewhere testified that the magician David Copperfield was at a dinner at Epstein’s residence and that there was another young girl present.
Sjboberg said Copperfield “questioned me if I was aware that girls were getting paid to find other girls.”
Epstein was known to receive sexual massages from girls and young women, some of whom had been recruited by other women for that purpose.
In Maxwell’s deposition, which was filed Wednesday, she was asked about the billionaire Glenn Dubin, a co-founder of the Highbridge Capital hedge fund.
“Did you ever instruct [Giuffre] to have sex with Glenn” Dubin, Giuffre’s lawyer asked Maxwell.
Maxwell replied, “I have never instructed Virginia to have sex with anybody ever.”
Dubin’s spokesman in 2019 denied claims by Giuffre that Maxwell had ever instructed her to have sex with him.
Also mentioned in documents unsealed Wednesday was the late modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, Epstein’s onetime lawyer Alan Dershowitz and the late former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson.
Judge Loretta Preska ordered the unsealing in mid-December.
Preska has granted a 30-day extension barring the disclosure of two names, including a woman identified as Doe 107 to review her claim that she faces a risk of physical harm in her home country if her identity is publicly revealed.
Maxwell is serving a 20-year federal prison sentence on charges related to recruiting and grooming young women to be abused by Epstein.
In a statement Wednesday, Giuffre’s lawyer, Sigrid McCawley, said that since 2019, when Epstein was arrested and a federal appeals court issued a ruling about access to the court documents, “The public has wondered and many have rightly demanded to know how Epstein operated his vast, global sex trafficking enterprise and got away with it for decades.”
“Questions of who enabled and facilitated him and who participated in an operation that resulted in unspeakable harm and devastation to the lives of countless girls and young women quickly surfaced.  Some of those questions have been answered; many have not,” McCawley said. “Some justice for the survivors has, indeed, been achieved; not nearly enough as hoped for and deserved. The public interest must still be served in learning more about the scale and scope of Epstein’s racket to further the important goal of shutting down sex trafficking wherever it exists and holding more to account. The unsealing of these documents gets us closer to that goal.”
On Tuesday, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, during an interview on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show,” said in regard to the list of names, “There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel are really hoping that doesn’t come out.”
“I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle,” Rodgers said.
Kimmel, the host of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show, quickly fired back at Rodgers in a tweet on the social media site X, formerly Twitter, suggesting he would sue the football player if he persisted in implying Kimmel had a connection with Epstein.
“Dear A-------: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality,” Kimmel wrote in the tweet.
“Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”
McAfee apologized Wednesday on his show for “being part of” Rodgers’ comments.
