Bat Bang Mods

BAT-A-BIG BAT-A-BANG

I am looking for a co-mod or two to help run a Big Bang in 2023! I will make things work without one, but I’d rather have a buddy!

About the Bang:

Batfam-centric! The main protagonist must be a Bat and/or the main ship must have at least one Bat. Ships within the Batfam itself all welcome.

Classic 50k fic + 2 art pieces collaboration. Writers will have 8 months to complete their fic. Artists will have 3 months to complete their art. It’s a tall order but a big payoff. We’re aiming to fill the tags on Ao3 with lovely new novel-length and illustrated completed works for everyone to enjoy!

All participants must be 18 or older. There will be no squee restriction beyond sticking to the Batfam theme - any ships, any tropes, any rating.

Modding specifics:

Writer submissions will open in January. Some time will need to be spent promoting the event and answering questions.

Three writer check-ins + one artist check-in will be conducted via email. As mods, we’ll be answering email questions and requests for extensions/help/etc.

Artists and authors must be matched to one another after claiming and questions about rules must be answered, around May-June. This will be a significant amount of work. If you have exams around that time, please take that into consideration before applying as a mod.

We will run a discord server for the event, occasionally hosting brainstorming sessions for anyone with stuck in their story.

The fics and art will post in October. Significant effort might be required in September, tracking down pinch-hitters, helping with last-minute beta searches, organizing promotional posts.

If you are still doing the ship meme, what fic would you write about JayDuke?

Duke Thomas was warned, by a hand-written note appearing on his bedside table, as usual: stay home tonight. But too much hinges on the evac op he was pulling later in the day. So this time, he doesn't listen.

And so he finds himself crawling amidst the rubble on the Gotham Bridge, the only thing that united the city with the rest of the world.

When he sees the most hated man in Gotham - Peacekeeper Red, the turncoat, the mask that was hunting other masks, leaving regular citizens nowhere to go for help - he thinks he is done for. But Jason, - that's how Duke called him in previous life, before Magistrate, before Joker's War - doesn't unholster his guns. He helps him to change, hide his suit, and escape.

Only Duke doesn't leave Gotham as promised. Jason should know. Running away never helps to solve the riddle. And now Duke has something to solve. Why, when Peacemaker 1 killed Batman, Jason went and joined him instead of revenge? Instead of doing what's right? If he really thinks this bad excuse of cyberpunk is what's right... Why did he save Duke?

And who is that person leaving him anonymous notes with intel and warnings?

“Jay…” Duke trailed off in a whine when Jason stopped his thrusts and started moving them. Before Duke had any idea what’s happening, he felt a big calloused hand on his throat and jaw forcing his head up to come in contact with his flushed face and dark brown eyes, almost black with the lust consuming them.

“Wha-Jason!” Duke tried to question but fell short as he shrieked, when Jason slammed back into Duke’s used hole. Jason, whose hand is still around the front of Duke’s neck, just smirked, before leaning down, kissing softly onto the back of Duke’s neck, which is incompatible to his brutal thrusts. “Look up Duchess,”Jason crooned, “See how beautiful you are.”

Duke whimper low in throat at that stupid nickname that has no right to sound so hot when Jason says it, but he brought his head up, just to see how debauched he looked. His lips puffy and bruised, the flush on his cheeks has his freckles on display, and eyes glowing a slight yellow in the mirror.

Duke let out an embarrassed whine at the sight, his eyes drifting to avoid looking at himself, before the hand around his throat tightened, making him moan and buck his hips matching into Jason’s thrusts unconsciously. “Come on Baby Doll,” Jason muttered, kissing Duke's shoulder up to his neck, then he growled, “Look into the mirror and see what I see, Sunshine. See how gorgeous you are.”

Duke flushed red at the praise, but raised his head and stared at his reflection in the mirror. He looked up more and caught Jason's eyes and shuddered at the burning want and lust in those teal almost Lazarus green eyes.

Duke gasped, “Please Jay. H-Harder, Faster please.” Jason leaned forward again and kissed the shell of Duke’s ear, before letting go of Duke’s jaw and throat before both his hands tightened around the hips in front of him.

Grunting, Jason drew back until the tip of his length was just in the rim, before he slammed back in with brutal force hitting that little bundle of nerves dead on. He did this for a few times until he felt Duke tightening around him.

“Please! Cum-Cumming! Jason p-please! Gonna cum!” Duke warned as he whined, thrusting back at the same pace with Jason’s thrusts. Jason glanced at the mirror and caught Duke’s blissed out expression. Nearly cuming on the spot just from that look alone, Jason bent down, and whispered hotly in Duke’s ear. “Come for me, Baby.”

Duke let out a choked off ‘Jason’ as he tensed. Spurts of cum shooting onto his stomach, the floor and some even on the mirror. Jason swore as he felt Duke tightened around him some more, a few well placed thrust later and his painting Duke insides white.

Duke mewled at the feeling of hot cum entering him. He leaned his head towards the mirror to try and balanced himself somewhat, until he felt Jason pat his sides and pull his softened cock out.

“Think you can stay here for a bit ‘til I get a warm towel, Dutchess?” Jason asked soothingly as he rubbed Duke’s sides. Getting a jerky nod in return, Jason hurried to his feet to get warm and wet washcloth from the bathroom.

After wiping himself down, he returned and made quick work in wiping down Duke’s thighs, stomach, then the mirror. Throwing the cloth in the hamper, he lifted Duke into his arms, before bringing them both to the bed.

Moving around a bit to get comfortable, Duke tucked his head underneath Jason’s chin and sighed contently. “Thank you Jason.” Duke mumbled as he kissed Jason’s collarbone.

Jason made a confused sound in the back of his throat, as he pulled Duke closer to him. “For what?” He muttered.

“For everything.” Duke sighed, “Love you.”

“Hmm. You too.” Jason replied, kissing the top of the smaller male’s head.

Duke smiled a little as he let exhaustion seep into him.

Most of the Bats don't think Jason can carry a tune to save his life, because Jason is the type to sing badly on purpose just to harass the others.

But by himself... The first time Duke heard that husky voice softly singing as he gave Ace a brush down- well, Duke had suspected he was a goner before, but that's when he knew.

Just some headcanon/things that I'd love to see batfam doing in the comics:

Jason taking care of Tim everytime he'd hurt himself in the patrols (mostly because they get along better than the others);

Jason getting worried about Tim not responding in the comms, then he search for his brother until find him bleeding. Then, he proceeds to take Tim to one of his safe houses;

The brothers calling themselves "brothers" more. I get so happy whenever they say something about being brothers, I love me some affectionate words between them;

Damian and Tim bonding time!!! Ugh I'd slide three dollars for some author to include a great scene between these two. Like, I get that they get along well now, but I need to see them being friendly;

Dami and Tim would totally bond over patrols, like they're investigating a crime in Gotham and they both get out to find more clues;

I feel we don't get enough of Jason and Duke and they would be absolutely funny together. They're dorks tbh, I'm already laughing imagine them hanging out and making fun of the other batmembers;

Steph should be included in JayDuke moments because honestly... she's funny and sarcastic. Tim is their victim, I'm envisioning this;

Damian likes his solitude time and Cass would be the perfect partner for that. They'd make tea and he'd read for her, nobody touch me I'm crying bye;

The batfam having a health and good relationship, that's my most wanted headcanon.
