At the end of a week that started out like any other, you couldn't understand when, how or why things had changed.  But changed they had.  Watching from amongst the trees as the heroes congregated between the house and the lake to say goodbye to Tony Stark, the odd feeling that had compelled you to show up uninvited at this intimate gathering and remain long after dark had fallen still plagued your addled mind.
Standing where his friends and colleagues had long since vacated, the moonlight shining across the water cast a glow that lighted the one rational thought you could cling onto ... you shouldn't be here.  Having never even met the man, you couldn't explain the string of odd occurrences that began almost immediately after the news broke of Thanos' defeat and the price it had cost the earth, but they all seemed to lead you here.
Strange text messages from a number you had never seen before and could neither trace nor block.  Words floating on the breeze, calling your name with promises of things to come from a voice that wasn't there.  Dreams so vivid you'd wake up exhausted and sore in places that no man or woman had ever touched.  So disturbing had they become you had even thought of seeing someone about the issue, but what would you say?
Five years ago the blip had changed everything, but for you at least it didn't make a whole pile of difference.  Sure you had lost friends and family, but life went on.  So you took the time to grieve and then went back to the flow of working, paying the bills and enjoying what little bit of free time there was to enjoy.  After all, the world still kept on turning and the living couldn't just shut up shop in the hopes that a miracle would fix all that had gone wrong.
But then as you stood by the lake you supposed a miracle had occurred.  Not knowing or caring about the details that had returned everyone or defeated the mad titan, your mind instead wandered back to how this whole thing had started.
         -- BEGIN FLASHBACK --
Leaving the bar and walking towards your car, you cringed inwardly at the disaster your life had become only a day after the world woke up anew.  Sitting behind the steering wheel and leaning your head forward against its cool surface you tried to figure out how and when a simple night out with your friends had gone so wrong.
Young, single and relatively carefree; dinner, a movie and one drink at the hottest new nightclub should not have you practically crawling out the door well before midnight while your friends bemoaned the old spinster you were steadily turning into.  Yet that was exactly how you felt in this moment ... old, drained, hollow.
In this moment, joy seemed like nothing more than a glorious memory that you could scarcely remember.  Gone were the days when you could drink anyone under the table, dance til the early morning light reminded you that a day's work still lay ahead and complained to your friends about their lack of energy when one venue closed and you dragged them kicking and screaming towards the next.  But that was not you now.  Something had shifted and you couldn't blame the blip.
Turning the key in the ignition and easing out into the night time traffic, a warm bed beckoned as these thoughts still flitted through your mind and distracted you slightly from the road ahead.  And it was this distracted state that you would blame some time later when you quickly slammed your foot on the brakes and breathed heavily before stepping out onto the deserted road you now found yourself on.
Getting your bearings and making sure that nothing had or could happen to your beloved car, you then slowly made your way to the front of the vehicle to confirm that no one was there.  Seeing with your own two eyes that the front grill was perfectly fine, you then got down on your knees to make sure the person you thought you had seen was not somehow sandwiched between the asphalt and the bottom of your car.
But there was no one there.  Had your sleep deprived brain just imagined it?  Staying where you were and looking around one more time, a chill went through you as disembodied words traveled on the wind.
"You look good on your knees darling."
Knowing what you had just heard, what you were sure you had seen and what was now all around you, you scrambled quickly back to your car and locking the doors, focused with new clarity on your eerie surroundings.  Taking in the deserted road and empty fields, you waited a heartbeat to see if the figure that had forced you to stop abruptly would reappear as your breathing steadied and you decided what to do next.
Picking up your phone when all remained quiet and sending up a grateful thanks as your usual bars appeared, you quickly searched out your current location and turning back on the engine, drove away towards where you were originally headed.  Now unsure how things had happened as they had, you continued on your corrected course and figured the mystery you left behind could be solved at a later date when your mind and body were no longer frazzled by the night's events.
So waking the next morning as your alarm pulled you from your slumber, the text message lighting up your screen brought you well and truly back to the events of the previous night.  Originating from an unknown number, the ominous warning that the sender would see you again made you vow that the second you got to work the I.T. department could take possession of your phone and see what their skills could accomplish.
Hurriedly getting ready and slipping out the door, the commute to work though uneventful still had your mind bothered by the mystery before you as you scrolled through your emails and answered those that were both urgent and easy.  Then finally arriving at the office, you were thankful to catch a glimpse of Dwight in the lobby passing a few minutes in conversation with a fellow I.T. nerd you reckoned was called Wally or Wendell.  Heading on over to the two as you signaled to Alexis that you would just need a moment, ten minutes later had both of you sitting down at your desks while your phone was currently someone else's problem.  And that was how the first half of your morning progressed.  Working away quietly as the office ambiance drowned out all thoughts of unknown texts and even stranger occurrences until just before lunch when Dwight was kind enough to burst your bubble and bring you crashing back down to reality.
Walking towards you with your phone in hand, the perplexed look that greeted you told you he wasn't bringing you good news.  Grabbing a hold of the vacant chair by your desk and moving it closer, while not drawing too much attention from fellow workers, his confirmation that there was nothing wrong with your phone that he could see, did nothing to ease your concerns.  The same concerns that only multiplied when he further told you he was unable to trace the unknown number that sent you that ominous text.  Rising now from the chair as you both headed off towards lunch, Dwight then left you at the elevator with the helpful suggestion that it might be worth considering changing your number to see if the mystery caller reached out again.
Allowing his words to sink in as your hand reached out automatically and pressed the ground floor button, you looked at your phone and thought of your co-worker's words once more before shooting off a quick text to Alexis that you would meet her at your usual cafe.  Then placing the phone back in your pocket, you stepped out of the elevator and headed off for a hopefully relaxing half hour break that somehow wasn't meant to be.
Walking off towards the cafe as the usual lunch time pedestrians strolled or jogged about the streets, a sudden call of your name had you stopping so abruptly that the old lady walking into you forced you to step aside before apologizing profusely for not watching what you were doing.  Reminding you that no harm had occurred but that you really ought to be more careful, her warm smile eased your worries for all of five seconds before the reason for your sudden stop flooded back into your mind.  Promising again to be more mindful and wishing her a better day, you then pressed your back against the nearest building before looking around to see if you could identify who had called out to you.
Seeing no one you truly recognized, you quickly shrugged it off as just a figment of your imagination brought about by stress and hurried off to meet Alexis before your lunch was over and you would simply have left the office for nothing but a stroll.  Heading into the cafe now and spotting Alexis waiting for you, your phone buzzing however proved enough of a reminder that all was not as it seemed and looking at the screen, you knew Dwight's suggestion was now your only option to restore your sanity.
[Looking forward to seeing you soon darling.  Hope you feel as good as you look.]
Showing the message to Alexis whose panic so easily mirrored your own, both of you agreed that the I.T department's inability to help you out was far more worrisome in light of this new development and so telling your friend you'd meet her back at the office, you left your lunch and headed off to the nearest phone shop to change your number.  Returning then to the office, the rest of the day going smoothly was enough of a reprieve to ease your mind as you headed home and settled for a far more rewarding evening.  If only things could have stayed that way.
Sleeping fitfully throughout the night, morning found you once again with a phone full of messages lighting up your screen and a more ominous feeling that things were far worse than they appeared.  Aside from the exhaustion creeping through every part of your body, it was the unexplained ache between your legs that had you searching through the recesses of your mind for some clue as to how you ended up so sore.  Drawing a blank however while at the same time finding everything in your apartment safe and secure, the text messages on your phone would have been enough of a problem to deal with if it wasn't for the sudden blare of the television drawing your attention to the  living room.
Leaving the bedroom and heading out to look around once more as the newscaster informed you of the private memorial being held for Tony Stark in two days time, that same disembodied voice reminding you to go there was the last straw in a string of events that had frayed your last nerve.  Still not sure how the television had turned on all by itself or ended up on that particular channel, you retrieved your phone, booked yourself into a hotel and heading off into the shower to try and return some sense of routine to your life, ate quickly and headed off to work once more.  Going about your day now with the knowledge that no mysterious psycho could reach you, you enjoyed the productivity this new found peace had brought you before heading off to your new abode and the reprieve that awaited you there.
But alas it wasn't meant to be.
Collecting your room key and opening the door to your suite, the welcoming couch was a boon to your weary body until a stack of paper on the coffee table caught your eye.  Sitting up and reaching out your hand to pick them up, you got through a whole three of them before you realized your invisible psycho stalker had somehow managed to track you down.  Picking up the phone and calling down to the front desk, you then began checking out every square inch of the suite while you waited for security to appear.
Answering the door as the concierge conversed with you about what little was known of the messages, the security guards checking out the whole place and telling you that they couldn't see anyone there did little to put your mind at rest.  Noticing your distress however and possibly feeling a great swell of pity for you, you were grateful at least when the concierge offered to move you to a different room while also posting someone outside the door.
Thanking him for the kind gesture but figuring at this stage that it wouldn't make any difference, you bid them all good night and locking the door afterwards called your boss to get out of work the next day before sinking into a warm welcoming bath.  Allowing the warm water, bubbles and candles to ease away the week's tension that had slowly collected throughout your body, you washed, dried and grabbing the bottle of complementary wine delivered while you relaxed, retired to bed in the hopes of leaving all your worries behind.  But a full day's sleep shut off from the outside was not the reprieve you hoped and waking eventually to the disembodied voice telling you it was time, a short car drive later found you standing in your current location wondering why on earth you had followed the instructions of some ghostly stalker you couldn’t even see.
           -- END FLASHBACK --
Standing here now a week after all these mysterious events had started and you were still no closer to the answers you sought.  Looking out over the lake one last time as that ever present feeling of being watched refused to leave you, you turned on your heel and headed back to your hidden car determined to leave your cares in this secluded spot.
But fate seemed to have other plans in store for you.
Reaching your car and placing your hand on the door, that ever present voice in your head warned you to turn around just in time to see a terrifying blue black portal appear behind you.  Knowing now that what you had been experiencing was not your mind playing tricks on you or the trauma of world events, your need for answers overpowered your common sense and moved you towards the portal just enough for a hand to reach out, grab a hold of you and drag you off to an unknown situation you were far from ready to comprehend.
Screaming out all the pent up fear and frustration coursing through you at this new development, the pristine white floor beneath your body however had you questioning just where you had ended up.  Rising to your feet and walking towards the wall of glass on the far side of the bed at least gave you some small clue as to what was going on.  You had seen this view before.
Though you didn't know how it now stood in all its former glory, gazing out the window at the familiar Malibu coast told you that this was once the same mansion owned by Tony Stark.  But that had been attacked and had fallen into the ocean.  So who owned it now with enough money to turn back the hands of time?  Looking around the room to try and ascertain some answer to this question, the door opening not two minutes into your search provided that answer and a thousand more questions.
"Tony?  Tony Stark?" you questioned, stepping away from the small table beside a chair to focus on the ghost before you.  "But you're ..."
"Dead?  Yes darling.  Did you mourn him I wonder?  Did you feel his loss without knowing what it was?" he asked in return as he finally entered the room and closed the door before leaning against it.  Watching you curiously now like a lion would its prey, a smirk crossed his handsome features as your eyes flicked back to the window and balcony that just moments previous had held your attention.
Wondering now who exactly this man was that not only walked and talked like the dead avenger, but also appeared to look like and have access to everything that once belonged to the American billionaire, these questions again seemed to win out over your desire to flee your current predicament.  Standing your ground while weighing up your chances of survival should you change your mind and leap into the ocean, your curiosity still held strong as you began to give voice to the questions presently flooding your brain.
"What is going on here?  Where am I?  Why do you look like Tony Stark?" you rattled off before a far more pressing memory grabbed your attention and forced you to reconsider your line of questioning.  "Wait a minute, you said HIM.  You asked if I mourned HIM?  Just who the hell are you?" you asked, far more frightened now of this answer than you ever were before.
"Who the hell am I?" he laughed out loud as he left the door and took a seat on the edge of the bed.  "Oh it's funny you should use that particular word.  Hell is all I've known since my beloved was taken from me.  But now that your protector is no more, nothing can stop me from claiming what he was too blind to take."
"Protector?  What are you talking about?" you retorted, completely taken aback now by what this man was saying.  "Who has been protecting me and what have they been protecting from?"
"Ah forgive me my darling, but without context that was probably a poor choice of phrase on my part," your mystery man offered as he stood once more and headed towards a cabinet by the door you just now noticed.  Opening it up and pouring out some drinks, you faced the window once again and contemplated your chances of escape only to have his next words pull at your natural curiosity once again.
"I really wouldn't do that if I were you darling.  Apart from the fact this whole mansion has been on lockdown since I brought you here, diving into the ocean will not give you the answers you seek," he offered as he walked towards you and held out a drink for you to take.
Eyeing it suspiciously but figuring if he wanted you dead or drugged you already would be, you gratefully accepted the glass and taking up residence in the only available chair, took a sniff followed by a sip as this Tony Stark lookalike resumed his perch at the end of the bed.  Waiting for him now to get back on track, you took another swig from your glass before the man in front of you spoke again.
Regaling you now with a story of soulmates destined to find each other across time, space and reality, you felt complete shock overtake you when the man before you went on to explain that Tony Stark, the hero who gave his life to defeat Thanos, was actually meant to live and die by your side.
Still unable to comprehend any of what you were hearing, three simple words seemed powerful enough however to snap you out of the fog that appeared to have settled over you.  "Wait a second ... ," you interrupted, placing down your glass to stare directly at your captor, "are you talking about the Infinity Stones?  Is that how all this came to be?  Weren't those destroyed or returned or ... something?"
"Yes, the stones from your time were destroyed and those borrowed were returned," he confirmed as he swirled the red liquid in his glass before continuing, "but artifacts that powerful exist in a multitude of realities waiting to be harnessed by those willing to seek them out.  Thanos, though noble as his vision was, never really grasped the benefits in using them individually and collectively for his own personal gain.  I of course do not suffer from that blindness."
Hearing those last few words as your eyes once more took in the room around you, you saw now with blinding clarity that this Tony Stark, for that is who he believed himself to be, was a madman far more dangerous to your singular existence and figured it was about time you discovered his true purpose.  So taking a deep breath and emptying your drink to steady your nerves, you asked the question you feared now above all others.
"And just what does all this have to do with me?"
"Well since you asked,” he replied with a less than reassuring smile, “my soulmate, this world's version of you, proved too weak to stand by my side, so with your Tony's death I traveled to your world to make us whole."
Thinking back now on all the odd things that happened in your life the past week, you realized they were probably the work of this one freak, but it didn't explain how.  That now would be the next mystery to figure out.  "So how did you do it?"
"With these of course," he answered while standing and as a red glow enveloped his body, the expensive three piece suit melted away to be replaced by blue and silver Iron-Man armor that housed all six infinity stones in various locations.  Recognizing now the ability of the reality stone to hide his appearance, his continued talking brought you back to the situation you found yourself in.
"So you see darling I have something those Tonys throughout the Multiverse never had ... the will and the means to keep you with me forever," and before you even had time to register his words or execute any form of escape plan, he raised his hand and as the glow of the mind stone illuminated the madman before you, darkness welcomed you into it's cold embrace.
Regaining consciousness some time later to find yourself in darkness, pulling back the bed sheets to reveal your naked body left no doubt about your captor's plans for you.  Rising for the bed and wrapping the sheet around yourself to cover your modesty, it proved completely useless however when the man who had yet to convince you he was indeed Tony Stark rose from the chair you previously occupied and freed you from your flimsy cover.  Running his finger then over your body, the chill that went through you definitely had nothing to do with your lack of clothing.  Snapping his fingers now to bathe the room in a soft light, you released an audible gasp to his satisfaction as the changes in his appearance registered confirmed the strange feeling in your gut.
Every bit as naked as you and showing off a physique that had no business existing in the mortal world, it was the other noticeable changes that grabbed and held your attention.  Sporting cheekbones that looked like they had been carved from marble along with hazel eyes now tinged with red, it was the accompanying sharp canines that weren't there before that told you the laws of the mortal world were no longer your concern.
Taking one step back for every one he took towards you, you didn't need supernatural hearing to know your heart was pounding in your chest.  You could hear and feel it all on your own.  Continuing to retreat against his advances, a whimper left your lips as your legs met the bed and you toppled backwards onto the mattress once more.
Smiling now as he had you back exactly where he wanted you, the horror grew around you as he joined you on the bed and grabbed your ankle to pull you closer.  Kicking out with your free leg to try and release yourself, his resounding laugh would have sent fear coursing through you if not for his fingers running along your calf where the skin split before your eyes from the sharp nails now prominent on his hand.
Wincing at the sting left behind, you knew now beyond all doubt what this madman was as his tongue flicked out and lapped the crimson liquid rising to the surface.  Pulling back when he released you as the life giving elixir still stained his sexy lips, the words he now uttered sickened you more than any of his actions so far.
"So sweet darling," he purred, licking his lips as his eyes, no longer human, locked on yours, "I can't wait to find out how much sweeter you'll taste while writhing beneath me as I split you open."
Glancing down now as his hand enveloped his cock and a bead of pre-cum caught your eye, a memory either repressed or hidden suddenly bloomed before your eyes.  He had taken you before.  Lying in your own bed sometime after your car had ended up somewhere you never intended driving, you woke up in the morning with your thighs sore and your pussy feeling like it had been well and truly used.  Not knowing at the time what had happened, you now saw plain as day the dark head feasting on your cunt before the phallus waiting to enter you once more had rammed home and shoved the air from your lungs as this monster ripped your innocence from you and brought you to heights you never knew existed.
Watching in fascination now as the memory returned to haunt you, this sadistic creature delighted in the terror now etched across your features.  "Oh, I take it you remember," he cooed and the scathing look you sent him might have been enough to still his heart if he wasn't already dead.
"What did you do to me?" you screamed and by now you could hear the anger in your voice as his previous actions sickened you more than any answer he was ready to furnish you with.
"Ah I simply took you for a test drive before a little mind manipulation made you forget I was ever there.  Nice to see you saved yourself for me," he added with a smirk and now you threw all caution to the wind and lunged for him as both of you toppled off the bed and landed on the floor.
Laughing maniacally as your fists rained blow after blow upon him until your hands closed around his throat, his naked form writhing beneath you eventually caused your actions to cease when his throbbing erection made its presence known to your intimate area.  Releasing your hold on him and rising from his body with as much haste as you could muster, you ran for the door and yanking it open, took to putting as much distance between the two of you as was humanly possible.
Running along the corridor and down the stairs as his sickening laughter echoed in your ears, the same blue black portal appearing by the piano proved just enough of a distraction to halt you in your tracks.  Watching in horror as the monster reappeared, eyes glowing, fangs glistening, you knew your only hope now lay with finding something to use as a weapon.  Looking around and thinking back on every vampire movie you had ever watched, a wooden coffee table gave you an idea as a still naked undead creature stalked towards you.
Stopping suddenly to see what had grabbed your attention, you momentarily questioned your level of success when your captor stood aside and encouraged you on your endeavor.  Waiting a breath but thinking better of it the more that time passed without any movement on his part, you reaffirmed your resolve and moving forward swiftly, broke a leg of the table before turning around and plunging it into the waiting chest behind you.
Moving back in the hopes of watching this Tony Stark wannabe combust, disintegrate or otherwise disappear before your eyes, the smirk returning to his handsome face told you something wasn’t right.  Laughing now as his hands reached up and yanked out your makeshift stake, your feet finally gave out as his explanation filled the silence.
“Darling really?” he questioned, as he held up the bloodied stake before lunging forward and driving it into your left thigh.  Screaming out from the depths of your soul at the pain now coursing through your body, his hand coming up to gently caress your chin did nothing to hide his frightening countenance.  “Did you really think a piece of wood could stop me?  I’m a vampire who possesses powers far beyond your comprehension.  Still, I admire your spirit.  It will serve you well in the centuries ahead,” he finished before reaching down to out the stake as an agonized groan left your lips.
Moving down your body then to examine the wound left behind, he shushed you gently before leaning forward to slather his tongue around the hole.  Wincing now both from the pain in your leg and the jostling of your body as he lifted you from the floor, you were sure you were going to pass out as he headed for the stairs and carried you back to the room you had just fled.  Then placing you lovingly back on the bed as he once more closed the door, you sank into its cool comfort and finally released all the exhaustion that now seemed to have seeped into every fiber of your being.
"So what happens now?" you questioned, as he lay beside you on the bed while the magic of his saliva seemed to very slowly stitch your thigh back together.
"Now my darling, we end this useless charade and you finally accept who and what I am," he answered as his supernatural smile reminded you again of the creature he truly was.
"A vampire?" you interrupted questioningly, though you still refused to accept such a thing existed.
"Oh I'm much more than that darling," he continued, as his hand moved forward now to play with one of your nipples.  "Did you so easily forget that I am also your soulmate with the powers of infinity running in my veins?"
Trying now to think clearly through the pain as his fingers moved over to pull and pinch your other nipple, your hand coming up to grab his wrist was the only way your brain could focus long enough to form any coherent thought.  "I thought you said Tony Stark was my soulmate.  How can I have two?"
"Darling, darling, darling, why do you still deny who I am?  If it's more tangible proof you need, allow me then to finally erase all your doubts," and with that he leaned forward on his elbow and placing his lips tenderly to your chest over your heart, your eyes widened in shock when he moved back and the outline of a ribbon appeared in their place with the words Tony Stark written with.  Smiling in satisfaction now as the soul mark darkened and took hold, he then waited to see what your reaction would be.
"But how?" you muttered in shock as your fingers appeared and traced over the mark that looked like it had been there your whole life.
"I told you, destined to be together across the Multiverse, my soulmate died and with your Tony marrying Pepper Potts over you, coupled with his subsequent death ... well, you were crying out to be claimed."
Shocked now at all these revelations, your curiosity still refused to leave you as you gave voice to the next question currently burning a hole in your skull.  "So what happens now?  You expect me to just give myself to you willingly after everything you've done."
"Oh of course not," he laughed, leaning forward again to capture your lips before pulling back and moving down between your legs.  "I am neither young enough nor naive enough to go in for all that consent nonsense," he added and before you could object or move, restraints appeared and tied you fast to each post of the bed.  Satisfied now that you weren't going anywhere, you prepared to face death but it seemed your undead psycho still had one more thing he wanted to show you first.
Mindful of your healing leg and thus straddling your stomach gently as his hand reached forward to lift your head, your brain fought against the realization of what was happening as his chest descended towards your lips and a gentle kiss from you revealed the same mark over his heart with your name emblazoned within.  Screaming now as both marks glowed in a myriad of colors, you were surprised this new shock to your system didn't cause you to pass out.  Though with what happened next it would have been a blessing.
Moving back down your body and impaling you on his throbbing erection in one powerful thrust, Tony took you over and over again until you swore you no longer knew where one of you ended and the other began.  Feeling completely drained now from his constant fucking, multiple continous orgasms and various cuts littering your body that fed his hunger, both of your soul marks glowed one last time and through your delirium you swore you saw six colored strands stretch between them as Tony sank his fangs into your neck at the same time he sliced his throat and shoved your mouth over the wound.
Drinking from him now as he drank from you, both of your bodies spasmed continuously as wave after wave of pleasure, pain and supernatural forces assaulted your being and transformed you into a creature you would barely recognise but eventually come to relish as the man who finally claimed you showed you all the wonder that eternal life by his side had to offer.
