just saw that post about how you should get army surplus boots instead of docs and I get the sentiment of that and I don’t want to argue with it but the notes were full of people lamenting how easily docs wear out/how lower quality they are and I’m all. what in the hell are y’all doing to them

#I bought a pair mid-last year because they were on sale and I needed a pair of sturdy boots for a class and decided to get something #fashionable AND functional (plus I had the dosh)#I've worn them most days for the past year and they're a little more scuffed but basically the exact same as when I got them outta #the box. and I've been lazy about polishing them on top of that #I really oughta do that actually someone remind me tomorrow to polish them #also wanna say I've never seen an army surplus store in my LIFE what in the hell am I meant to do.#anyway I am making my own post about this instead of adding my tags as I reblog the actual post because I'm a little burnt by saying #my own points about things like this
