hey girlie, hope you're doing well; having a good day/night:
i wanted to ask if you could give any advice with building and landscaping? i've always been a huge fan of your sim style, and i'm currently looking to get into building myself.
was there any videos you watched or accounts that were able to help you jump wholeheartedly into the wonderful world of build/buy mode?

hi! i could go on and on about this topic so thanks for asking. last year i wrote about building here, if you recall. since that one was more about "vibe" maybe this one should be a little more technical? idk, i'm a dreamy creative so i'm sure this'll get emotional anyway lol.
i suggest picking a world or architectural style and let one inform the other. then research that style, look at floor plans and dive into pinterest for a while before you start building. if you don't already have one, get one and go collecting inspiration that you can reference later. here's mine, if you wanna check it out.
when landscaping i think about two key things: what style of gardening goes with this build (manicured, overgrown, minimal, etc) and i consider the trees and/or flowers i see in the world around my lot. i'll incorporate some to blend on and off-lot gardening. and i can't emphasize enough how important terrain painting is! in my opinion it really anchors everything down. for example, i paint all around and under landscaped areas, trees, the entire perimeter of the house/buildings, and anything else like pools, decks, driveways. it creates depth and makes it look like these things are really sprouting out of the ground. also paths! even if you don't have stones laid down, think about the routes sims will take to get from one place to another, like from the back porch to the pool, the marks little sneakers leave under the swing set when simmies play, from the mudroom to the trash bins by the garage. grass thins out and you'll see some dirt showing through regularly trodden routes, so paint those on to make the area look lived in.
the simpler the floor plan, the better. even if you pick a floor plan that's complicated, simplify it. you don't need a garage? remove it or convert it into something else. too many little rooms and hallways? open up those spaces or take them out entirely and push the necessary rooms you want to keep into that area. you'll find your builds will be much easier to play in this way and it won't take sims hours to get to the kitchen or up the stairs.
i have general dimensions for rooms that really work for me:
kitchen 5x6, 6x6, 6x7
dining 4x5, 5x5, 5x6
living 5x6, 6x6, 6x7
half bath 2x2, 2x3
full bath 3x4, 4x4
owner's suite 5x6, 6x6
bedrooms 4x5, 5x5
hallways 2 spaces wide
maybe a bit tricky, but think about adding rooms in the roof. a play room, guest room, second living room, or office space. hell, even just an attic you can convert later as your family grows. when building attics, i'll lay out the roof design first and then see where i can build rooms inside. for easier gameplay you'll want to then break down the roof into sections so when you lower the walls you can see inside and the camera won't bounce around.
twistedmexi's TOOL mod is an absolute gamechanger and i highly recommend using it to expand your lot outside the lines. EA has decorated the world outside of your lot with fences and other features that suggest you can absolutely push things further. i'll setup whatever i want outside the lot inside my grid first and then move it all out together. i do this for play areas, picnic tables and umbrellas, firepits and seating. i'll put cars parallel parked on the road or in the driveway EA has provided. and don't forget about debug items like electrical poles, post boxes, bus stops, fire hydrants and other stuff you'd see around a neighborhood.
i'm subscribed to a handful builders on youtube that i'll watch from time to time. it's great to see what other folks are doing because this community is so creative and you'd be surprised the little tricks you'll pick up. these are some of my favorite builders: simproved, simsphony, plumbob kingdom, simcubeez, bojana sims.

Tagging whoever would like to do this - I'm just home from work on a Sunday, so only light tasks for my brain please.
What’s your favorite Sims death?
I've never been the type who enjoyed killing off their Sims, so I haven't been very interested in the various death-types. Years ago I've seen someone reply to this question "the mummy curse, because of the darkening vision effect and the sandy death-animation and ghost". This inspired a generation of my gameplay legacy, but I manipulated it so the Sim turned into a mummy instead of dying.
Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?
Maxis match, especially for clothing. I like the clear silhouettes of MaxisMatch clothing and I think they work best with most animations.
Do you cheat your sims weight?
In gameplay I prefer to achieve weight-changes the natural way. In storytelling of course I make the characters the way I need them.
Do you move objects?
In storytelling always, in gameplay sometimes to decorate.
Favorite Mod?
The technically obvious answer is NRaas because the game is literally unplayble without them. I love how many gameplay mods are being released these days.
First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?
For every Sims game I was a bit late to the party and waited until it came with a pets expansion. This and Seasons. The world is not complete without animals and seasons.
Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?
As @nocturnalazure said, I understand it as "we're live now". It's called "Live-Modus" in German and in a German word that's the only way "live" is pronounced.
Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?
I still think the cast of Of Chevalry are the best Sims I've ever made. I don't see characters' faces very clearly in my head, but these really turned out the way I hazily imagined them.

I like the braided updo from the basegame. I use a lot of EA hair actually, especially for male Sims.
Favorite life stage?
Depends. For babies, toddlers, and to some extend children, I wish there were more content and gameplay in the actual game. On the other hand, this makes it fun to make mods for them. Teens and elders I wish were more different from adults, and I wish the developers had gone the extra step and made all clothing available teen-to-elder, like in Sims 4. In my stories I try to show my characters' development in whatever age they currently are.
Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?
I'm not a very good builder. My best own buildings are square and simple.
Are you a CC creator?
I dare say.
Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?
I feel really old when I think of all my mutuals who are no longer active. Around 2015 there were so many historical and storytelling Sims 3 simmers! Sometimes I think of their stories and how they might have continued...

Until last year there was a cardboard plumbob hanging next to our family-computer. But we finally realized every family member has their own computer now, so we removed that office corner.
Do you have a YouTube for sims?
I do, but it only has a handful of three-second screen-captures from my game. At one point tumblr's video upload didn't work, so I linked them from youtube.
How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?
It changed a lot. I always played a historic game, but I was much more eclecticist in the beginning. Of course also new cc came out, and I started using lighting mods and later poses. And I switched from gameplay to storytelling.

Come on a little day trip with me!
Sometimes during summer we always visit our distant relatives who beautifully renovated my maternal grandma's childhood home. The couple who lives there now is so sweet and they also have a bunch of adorable cats!! So, it's always a good time when we visit them.
They made sure to preserve parts of the original structure, for example the foyer's stone floor is still using the original floors that were laid down inside the entrance of the farmhouse! Their builders excavated all the stones, cut them to the same thickness (they were all wonky beforehand) and carefully replaced them in the same pattern (marked beforehand). The living room includes the wall that used to be in the cow's quarters. (There was an addition made.) I love all the old and original details that have been preserved and lovingly enhanced!
For day trips I always like to come prepared and lay all my things out on the table, so I can see that I've though of everything and will want for nothing! For this little trip I'm going both ways per train, so I brought things to keep me entertained on my journey as well.
Unfortunately I only found little sleep before this particular trip and used my train journey for napping instead of knitting or reading... but well, I was prepared at least!

1. What’s your favorite sims death? I haven't had a sim die from anything other than old age in a HOT minute but I saw a LP and the murphy bed death seems so unecessarily violent lmfao.
2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? BOTH! I consider my style Maxis Mix. We love a nice combo of both.
3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Not anymore but at one point I had to. Let me explain: I don't know if it was a glitch but like after every meal with grannie's cookbook, Indya would gain weight instantly. Didn't happen with anyone else (although everyone else are athletes of some sort). She's always and forever thick but something was definitely up with the food mods I was using. Anyway, we're good now since I'm not playing her HH exclusively anymore.
4. Do you use move objects? Absolutely. Its too restrictive! Gotta play test when I do though because routing errors make me irrationally angry.
5. Favorite mod? Wickedwhims. I don't care! If I want my sims to get freak-nasty I have a blog for that and WW never fumbles. If I want them to do cute little intimate things, WW is there. If you don't like the smut, I feel bad for you son.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? I've gotten pretty much ever iteration of this game except for almost all of the kits and the star wars pack.
7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? ALIVE. I don't understand the other one honestly lol. We're going LIVE as soon as I press play so....

20240102: the History of LEGO Castle day 002.
375-2 / 6072-2 Castle
(1978 / 1981, 779 pieces, 72 different parts, 1 sticker sheet)
The "Yellow" Castle was designed by Daniel August Krentz and was the first mini-figure scale castle. The original (375-2) was released in the United Kingdom in 1978 while the United States version was released in 1981 (6075-2). The 1982 LEGO catalog said, "LEGOLAND Castle Sets take you back to the Middle Ages. The largest set has a castle with a working drawbridge you can raise and lower, 4 knights on horseback, and 10 guards with armor. With LEGOLAND Castle Sets, you can launch your own Medieval Adventures."
Five thin baseplates allow the castle to be opened into several shapes and features a mostly yellow build with an arch over a red drawbridge, two side towers, and one rear tower with small red windows over two red doors. A sticker sheet is used to provide decoration to the light gray shields, mini-figure armor, towers, gate arch, and flag. Most of the stickers feature a yellow crown on a triangular dark pink background, while other stickers include dark pink decorative scrolls on a yellow background, eight yellow trefoils on a blue background, green chevrons on a yellow background, and a white maltese cross on a red background. The castle also features four brick-built horses; three black and one white.
The minifigure as we know it today first began production in 1978, creating more versatile and mobile characters for Lego's first three themes: Castle, Space, and Town. Early versions of the minifigure torso used an entirely open interior and later versions utilize the cross-section interior stud holders. These minifigures have plain torsos with no print and the design effect is created with minifigure armor with stickers. Included in this set are fourteen plain minifigures, two black, eight blue, two red, and two white.
With their plain smiling yellow faces, the four knights, four squires, and six guards could be any gender and that was one of my favorite parts about Lego as I was growing up. I like the ability to create my own stories and populate my realms with characters more in line with my own imagination with women knights and rulers.
Early Lego sets all had a "back of the box" build, to show builders some of the other things it would be possible to build with the set. I've always enjoyed these alternate builds but as a younger human, I often felt like I didn't have the skill to build something pictured without instructions. I've been pretty good about building random things on my own, but something about building to a picture has always intimidated me.
This set is a really good basic castle build, though the baseplate design makes it difficult to lift up and move to different locations. For only being a six-color castle (black, green, light gray, red, white, and yellow), this is a very interesting build. I like the hinge element and how you can expand the castle for easier play and all the parts involved make it very easy to build other things. While it is a very basic design, it is the first of it's kind and was definitely the building block for many of the following castles.

anyways, my answers under a readmore, cause they're 26 questions.
1.What’s your favourite sims death?
there's so many funny deaths in ts2, but I rarely see them (I can't help it I like keeping my sims alive lmao....) I have seen the satellite death only twice in.... almost 20 years? Also think murphy bed death is pretty entertaining. oh, and that sims can spontaneously combust if too warm.
2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match?
funny I was just talking about this with @nappe-plays-the-sims on discord. My style is definitely maxis mix/semi-realistic. I think it'd probably be fully alpha in ts4 though, if my computer could handle it. but for ts2, I don't like how a lot of alpha cc looks, so it stays squarely in the mix category.
3.Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?
hm. mostly not? there are certain sims that don't fit personality wise and I've cheated (in both directions both fat loss and gain) sheerly because their fitness just barely dipped and it didn't make sense. also as a storytelling simblr, I need consistency, so sometimes I'll cheat it for the moment, but then return them to their new fit/fat state once I have a bit of a time lapse.
4. Do you use move objects?
literally constantly. I mean, I have to to pose scenes, but also decoration in my game is ridiculously off grid so 🤷♀️
5. Favorite mod?
I legitimately don't think I can pick one. I have like 200 'curated' mods that I have mostly been using for literally a decade. Even in my "cc free" game I still have my mods folder and my defaults in. That being said, if forced to, I wouldn't be able to live without ACR/Romantic Standards, and the Traits Project.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?
Glamour Life Stuff, but I pretty much followed the release date for ts2. for TS4, the entire reason I redownloaded the game was Cottage Living so... that one.
7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?
Live as in 'we are Live 🎬" (because literally that's how I always pictured it. the game is in action now, it's live.)
8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?
uhm.... probably Evren, though no one has seen much of him yet. I just think he's pretty.

I have.... about 12 years ago. and that sim can stay back there LMAO.

hm. I suppose Gloomy, Maker, Socially Awkward. it took me a while to decide though.

in ts2, I guess the red is okay? idk there's a reason all my hair is defaulted.
in ts4, I specifically like the light blonde and the dirty blonde, but would like to set the one labeled "blonde" (the yellow one) on fire.
12. Favorite EA hair?
see above answer. I'm just... not a fan of ts2 hairs. When I was a baby, I used to use exclusively this hair on men (like they literally all had that hair it was kinda funny), before I discovered cc. but now I think I'd probably pic Caesar if I had to.
13. Favorite life stage?
Teen through Adult. I like them all probably equally, but I spend a LOT of time at Uni 😂 I don't understand why everyone wants shorter UNI mods lmaooo.
14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?
can I say neither? what you guys are playing the game???? jk jk. uhm... I guess I'll say builder, but honestly a good portion of my time is literally posing. though said scenes are normally based off gameplay. but I don't get to play that often. like ie: the story posts I'm posting now are literally based off gameplay from 6 months ago so....

Yup!~ though it's not consistent, in posting schedule or what I tend to make so 🤷♀️ (that being said, I do have hair retextures I'm literally planning on posting this week.)

I feel like I do, but I don't wanna post favorites and hurt someone's feelings. 😂 that being said, there's like 3-5 people I talk to almost daily.

in case it's not obvious, it's ts2. I do like ts4 now with all the dlc now though. but ts2 will always be my ride or die tbh.

I... don't think so.... I'm pretty sure I don't. I would be willing though probably. I mean, I sorta want a sims tattoo, and that's a lot more permanent than merch so.

oh god. idk man, I was heavy into the whole scene kid 2008 type stuff back when I first started creating cc and stuff, let alone playing, so like.... "a lot" is really all I have. I'd like to say that it's improved? I definitely think my photo/editing skills are better.

I want to say it's potential-x-fate but i am not 100% sure on that... I don't think I've ever shared anything for ts4 anyways though.
22. Who’s your favorite CC creator?
that depends heavily on what you're looking for. @deedee-sims, @mdpthatsme, and @serabiet for clothing come to mind.
Makeup by far is probably @lilith-sims. and JesstheEx (LJ).
Hair I do a lot of my own retextures, but @antoninko also does a lot of sunshine retextures.
For b/b I couldn't even begin to decide. I don't have as much and it's all over the place.
for TS4, like, literally 85% of my CAS is @pralinesims and I have 0 B/B so.... it's pretty much just Praline LMAO.
23. How long have you had a simblr?
technically? since 2008. I migrated here from LJ around then. but this account is newer than that, cause I used to have it as a side blog and that was not very convenient. the old account I deleted after I moved everything I wanted over. I also took a 3 year break from 2016-2019.
24. How do you edit your pictures?
Carefully. lmao. jk jk. uh.... lets see. I crop them (via my own action), apply actions (mostly other people's) depending on the scene, edit any clipping by hand painting, add in hair strands a lot of the time, and uh, then I add a 1% monochromatic noise filter, and the white border frame.
25. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next?
since I play ts2 this isn't really applicable. but in the magical world of Allie Gets What They Want, I'd want a fix for ts2 to allow more customizability via CAS. by that I mean, I want more slots for skin details/tattoos/etc and accessories and such like they have in ts4, but in ts2. Obviously this is theoretical. but it's the thing I miss most in ts2.
26. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far?
ahhh.... for ts2, I probably play with Uni the most, but ts2 was better at integrating gameplay elements into their EPs so I'd be hard pressed to drop any of them, even ones I "don't use" that often. (ie: nightlife came with chemistry and I'd die without it, even though I don't use any of the downtown functions often.)

i went from playing families only for 2-3 generations, then i was playing a lot with pets breeding, once i had family with 5 generations but lost ineterest in it, then i created mentioned earlier Annabelle and my playing was based on scenarios and setting sims in poses to make stories, now i still play Annabelle's family but it's more chilled gameplay, based on sims wants and what the game itself will bring to me (as you can see on my simblr😊)

oh don't worry i like it so much.
1: i see him as a gay man! "but scott" you cry "what about cledubs". it still happens but in a very "what if a fag and a dyke could fuck ruthlessly" way. also he's cis but his gender is simultaneously sort of all over the place in typical gay fashion.
2: recently i've been drawing him as a bat hybrid so some stuff on that- he purrs instead of snoring, he has little wings on his back that never grew in properly, his leg+feet muscles are strong enough to support his weight upside down if he so desires! but usually he doesn't do this because sleeping upside down as a full sized guy is not so great for him.
3: on the appearance front still- he is littered with scars from his time in the jungle because late on he was caught in a ton of vines and the thorns left a permanent mark. this is part of the reason his moss hoodie has big floppy sleeves, because the scarring on his arms and hands are particularly bad and sensitive to touch, plus he was just a little self conscious about it for a while (but he's getting better).
4: for some reason i always saw him as... not actually being an "official" mindcrack member? like he IS but. i think i had a dream or something at some point where he was a builder that came on world to fix something up and he ended up just staying LMFAO. a lot of mc guys in my head were like this where they weren't formally invited (even though in real life etho and doc were i still see them as just stumbling in).
5: i don't have much backstory for him compared to some other characters i think he had a pretty normal life prior to the horrors. but i do think he grew up in a pretty remote place. also he grew up with horses because of course he did, he didn't live on a farm or anything but i think there was a ranch nearby and that helped foster his love for the beasts as an adult
6: re:ethubs (predictable) i'm a strong fighter for etho fell first but bdubs fell harder but also etho is an idiot and didn't have the experience or language to understand he was in love so maybe bdubs fell first too. however, he fucking HATED etho for a long time despite also clearly having a huge crush on him and not actually disliking him that much. he's like a tsundere to me, is the best way i can explain it. pause was his wingman on mindcrack for a while but this was a situation that literally nobody was happy about or wanted to happen.
7: i think he's a good baker. not excellent but i think he should get really into baking and making little treats. they probably look way better than they taste because decoration is his favourite part. also said this before but i think he'd get really into star signs for a while but he doesn't take it that seriously he just reads his horoscope every day and then if things go wrong he'll blame that.
8: i could go in depth here about something but this is a sfw blog so i'm just going to gesture vaguely at the one post that's like "i'm into bdsm be dozin so much" and leave it at that.
9: on sleeping- he is just a generally sleepy guy and always has been, but also i think he suffers from a touch of chronic fatigue. nothing that severely impedes him but like, when he goes to bed on time it's because he literally cannot stay up past his bedtime or he will Pass Away
10: when etho left in season 5 he left his headband behind. bdubs took the decorative metal clasp from the front and wove it onto a necklace, kinda like a dog tag. still wears it to this day under his shirt where nobody can see! when etho learned this for the first time he got very. Very emotional. but anyways .
11: (bonus ethubs one because i just remembered it) he HAS watched a lot of etho's lab but didn't before meeting him. he went back and watched some early stuff, but out of respect for etho after learning about his life he never finished it.

1. What’s your favourite sims death? Dying of laughter. I did not expect it at all and when it happened I was struck by the irony. One moment of hilarity=tragedy. This damn game!
2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? I like Maxis mix. If I love the cc, it doesn't matter.
3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Nah. If the sim is active and enjoys exercise, it might happen naturally.
4. Do you use move objects? I don't think I could play without it.
5. Favorite mod? MCCC, WonderfulWhims, Pose Player + teleporter, Stand Still in CAS so I don't lose my mind with the occults hissing and spellcasting and howling.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? This will surprise NO ONE: VAMPIIIIIRES!
7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? Like aLIVE because in my head it's like, "We are going LIVE!"
8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Oh, that's a tough one. I don't think I have a fave. I love Lou Howell, Morgyn + Caleb, Hester and Frederick, my starcrossed lovers, even poor little neglected Finn...But recently I've been having a lot of fun with Lawrence and Julian.
9. Have you made a simself? No. That would freak me out a little. I'm weirdly and irrationally superstitious (I know, I know...).
10. What sim traits do you give yourself? Bookworm, creative... goofball
11. Which is your favorite EA hair color? It depends on the sim and the hairstyle, but I do like dark brown.
12. Favorite EA hair? Again, it depends on the sim. I do find the loose side braid very flattering on most sims, though.
13. Favorite life stage? YA because more gameplay options become available and you feel like you have time to start things properly.
14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? It depends on my mood, but I do like coming up with scenarios complete with sims and elaborate locations. I guess I'm in it for the storytelling?
15. Are you a CC creator? I made two band t-shirts in simlish. I'd like to make more but I got lazy haven't had time lately.
16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad? I have this fear of bothering other people that is quite ridonkulous because this is social media and it's all about community. So far, everyone has been so nice, though! And there are several simblrs who have been especially kind, supportive, and fun/interesting to interact with!
17. What’s your favorite game? In the Sims franchise? Sims 4. (Otherwise, my other obsessions are Geralt of Rivia and Corvo Attano...and kicking Solas' arse someday)

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? Until earlier this year, I played The Sims off and on. I always found decorating relaxing. But then I tried out Pose Player, which led to wanting to share my screenshots, which led to creating a simblr, and then discovering Reshade, and Blender, and editing in PhotoShop...It's been so much fun learning about all these things...All because I wanted to try something different in my gameplay!

After building only base game for over a year, I treated myself and got some EP's and GP's.
For Christmas of 2023 I was gifted several EP's and GP's. After spending the last 4 months of building and game play I've been looking at what kind of Save File I wanted to build. I've watched tons of builders, lets plays and save file reviews. After a lot of consideration I decided to make my save file a represenatation of the worlds provided and existing sims lore.. however - I ran into a issue...
What I didnt like was the EA recommendation of having a sim cap of 200. While I understand that most people are using the best that they can I know that not a lot of ram can fathom the capacity of more than 200 sims. I was just completing Brindleton Bay and realized that I had hit this cap and had not finished oasis springs and so forth. You will see this represenation on my gallery of the builds uploaded.
I decided that although my computer (which isint even that high) can handle it but I wanted to be able to share this joy and fun with others. So I went back to the drawing board. My conclusion was this:
I wanted to make a world that was based off of having your sims placed into one main world with the opportunity to to explore the other areas as a vacation. Even with this idea in mind it has still made keeping the sims count to a minimum which seems to hit capacity pretty quickly. So what is another way I can see this idea play out without having to modify it too much?
I decided to cap each world to one particular residential area opposed to building the entire world.
What this means is that the majority of these worlds will consist of community and vacation lots. Residential areas will only be within a street to condense the story and condense the lag. With that being said as much as I wanted to include the sims lore I felt it would be more valuable to start from scratch. So in a turn of events I have decided to make a realalistic save file with a twist. Each world will showcase a different forensic file case. Your sims can travel on vacation to each of the worlds to immerse yourself in each of the cases and see if you can solve it - or maybe you might even know it and want to see how it has panned out.
While I currently do not own all of the packs I do try to limit the residential builds as much as possible. This is more to make it easier on myself to decorate individual styles that match the characters and story as well as being more wide-spread amoung other simmers who I really want to have joy in what I have created. The worlds listed below are what will be inclided and I will include a update weekly on Sunday's on the progress. I would like to really still incorporate some natural elements of the worlds for vacationing purposes as the reason I bought the EP's and GP's that I did is because I have always wanted to visit some of these places. There are also other EP's and GP's that I would like to purchase however with the long list that I have I must be realalistic as to what I can achieve. Should I be able to fill out the remainder of the EP's and GP's that I do have then I will list what packs in order I will be obtaining later on.
This is a huge undertaking so if you happen to be following along or are checking in this is a gentle reminder to be kind and compassionate. I work a FT job and have responsibilities in my downtime, the sims and creating is so much fun for me - its my therapy and I want to keep it that way! If youre interested in collabing im open for CAS creators.

1. What’s your favourite sims death? Cowplant! On my current uberhood Olive is growing her garden with her new pet Cowplant that also grants her to live forever (since she drinks their life essence)!
2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? Maxis Match all the way, always and forever.
3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? I'm gonna be honest, I don't cheat but I don't like the Sims 2 fat body type, it doesn't represent a fat person imo. Any other sim game is better regarding this.
4. Do you use move objects? I do, but I'm more of a functional player, I want every animation and routing to be perfect, so I avoid using it every time.
5. Favorite mod? New Lifetime Wishes, ACR (gotta try this edit version!), Community Time Mod and Monique's Hacked Computer.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? Here in Brazil, especially back in the day, you would find pirated Sims games more often than originals. It wasn't different for me! I got Sims 1 Pets because I was an animal lover gal 💖

I think it would have to be Cardiac Explosion. I just find the idea of a sim getting so mad that their heart explodes hilarious, I don't know why! ^^
Alpha CC or Maxis Match?
I've always been pretty Maxis Match. If I were to go Alpha I'd have to change *everything* in the game to match otherwise it would bug the crap outtah me, and gosh, that would be WAY too much work. x___x I also just love the cartoony aesthetic a heck of a lot more.
Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?
No, not usually. Only if the weight gain/loss was completely unrealistic to what I'd expect because the game's systems don't work the way I'd like. Sometimes I become attached to the idea of a sim being a certain way, but I usually let their natural metabolism win out in the game. I love me some soft, chubby sims! :)
Do you use move objects?
Yes!
Favorite mod?
Ooof, this is hard… I've become very fond of most of Lumpinou's mods. MissyHissy has a lot of great mods that flesh out the gameplay in a maxis-match way, too! Though I probably get the most use out of Wonderful Whims and Meaningful Stories; the game just doesn't feel right without them!

Gosh, this was so long ago I can barely remember… it was probably Get Together or City Living.

This is a hard one, because I love them all so much! 🥹 Philomena Velasquez will always hold a special place in my heart as my first Sims 4 legacy founder who was super fun to play (even though I didn't have a simblr blog at the time so none of it is documented anywhere). But I also have a major soft spot for Gabriel McKinley. She has the best resting bitch face. :D

I have a soft spot for all of them for different reasons, but I do really love it when my sims reach Elderhood and develop wrinkles and grey hair and start to slow down. :) Feels like a reward after a long, hard life! I love giving my elders a few more days using MCCC so they can enjoy being grandparents. ^^

99% gameplay! I will occasionally build if the madness strikes me, but I usually rely on builds shared by others here on Tumblr or on the gallery. I'm not very good at designing actual buildings, and I get so caught up in decorating sometimes that it takes HOURS. x___X

I am! I haven't yet broken into anything that requires Blender, but if it's a simple 2D .png texture edit I'm all over it. :D
Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad?
Nope! It's just me, which is absolutely fine! I have friends elsewhere. I just really don't get on with Discord, and that seems to be where most simblr folks hang out in groups.
What’s your favorite game? (Sims 1, 2, 3, or 4)
I've played all of them, and every time the new game was an improvement on the old, for various reasons. I played SO MUCH of the Sims 2 when I was a kid/in high school, it really stoked the flames of my life-long Sims addiction. While I've gone back and tried to play all the old games again recently, I just couldn't get back into them. The Sims 4 currently has my whole heart. I love the aesthetic, and there's so much content to it now I don't really want for anything that the older games had. (Except perhaps more chaos/whimsy/custom animations for various interactions. :) )

It hasn't, much; though I suppose I keep finding new skin details that I fall in love with and start using on every sim, so you can see different phases that way. I might go a little maxis mix when it comes to some skin details nowadays. ^^;

Oh gosh, I have so many! For hairs, Okruee, Dogsill, and Simstrouble never let me down. I also love Shysimblr's stuff, SleepingSims, and Simtric's. Saurus' hair is still such an important staple for me, too! For clothes, Joliebean, Trillyke, LadyFu's recolours, Nucrests, Simkoos, Renorasims, Sifix, Jius, Rusty, Serenity, VIIAVI… Max20 has a chokehold on me for BB stuff, as does SIXAMcc, Surely-Sims, awingedllama and Ravasheen.

I started this one in Oct 2020, I think. Wasn't really in the Simblr community at any other time, though I did try to create some CC back in TS2 days on ModTheSims. ^^
How do you edit your pictures?
I mostly rely on my Gshade preset to do most of the colour editing/DOF stuff, then I do a teensy bit more in Photoshop and apply TopazClean. I made a post about my current process here. I also have some older examples/downloads here and here. When I first started I did all my editing in Clip Studio Paint; Photoshop isn't a requirement to get nice screenshots. :)
What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far?
This is also a hard one! I'm really enjoying all the stuff added with Growing Together. Definitely the best expansion pack in a while. City Living, Seasons, and Cats & Dogs are also fantastic. The game packs that add new occults, Vampires and Werewolves, are also good fun! And as far as added gameplay goes, Strangerville is a really great buy.
What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next?
I can't lie, I'm super excited about the idea of a horse-themed pack, but I know it won't be as good as I hope it will be. X) As far as anything else? Hmm… I'd love more career variety in terms of how it interacts with gameplay (fewer boring rabbit hole careers, for example), and more apartment lots. Another city-styled world would be amazing, as well as worlds based on different places around the globe. I love Sulani, Mt. Komorebi, Tartosa, etc., let's get more variety! 💪

Nope! I really don't care honestly, as long as my Sims are living their best lives lol.

Ugh, I can't just pick one I have several. The ones I can't live without Are ACR, Monique's hacked computer, Honey Honey Skin defaults, the new 3D lashes mod lol, and Reshade. I'm a modding addict so... I can't pick just one I could go on forever lol.

I started playing the Sims 2 when I was 6, so I honestly can't remember what my first pack was. I just remember being excited about a lamp, my love of decorating started that day lol. My first memory of getting a pack that I can recall was Sims 3 Supernatural.

It has changed a lot. I like many would roughly play one family causing as much drama and chaos as possible, ruining their lives and any passing townie....Just me? Now I play very wants-based and let the game guide me on what to do next. I find it fun when my sims pick what path they go down, I've gotten so many fun storylines like this.. I also play rotationally so I always have several families I play.

I am back on my “LazyBeans26 and PiglinMyNose are the same person on NameMC” propaganda… Sniff and Pig have infected my brain, so here’s a silly sickfic about a tired camera boy and his weird new friend who's just contracted "experiencing the horrors of being sentient" disease.

When Jimmy and Scar asked if they could take turns possessing his vessel, LazyBeans26 didn't even hesitate. "Sounds like fun! I'm in." Why not? He's always down for a good time and he's not a square.
They tracked him to his studio apartment, 4th floor of the Raisin Tower. It's the Sun Ray Tower; nobody ever calls it that. Yeah, he's earned it; he's been around New Star Station a long time. It's a tiny place, but that just feels right, y'know? Must be his slime hybrid genes. Something about small, square spaces just feels right. And it's really not bad for a guy who's lived his whole life alone. He's not a builder; he hates doing interiors. This spot works just fine for him, even though Jimmy and Scar are bumping into each other in the kitchen space and they're so close to the bed, Scar could jab it with his cane.
"Are you sure?" Jimmy asks, tilting his head. Lazy's in front of his mirror in the skin change room, two bobby pins in his teeth as he ties back his hair. He clamps the pins to one side with his tongue.
"What d'you mean? Of course I'm sure. I've been thinking of changing my name, actually… It's about time I haul my butt across the station and hit up Etho for that anyway. He'll be much happier if we make it a two-fer. He'll get all huffy if it's just the name."
"Oh, really?" That's Scar. "What- What are you changing your name to?"
"Pig. Pig something… I haven't figured out the rest. I'm just kind of tired of going by 'Lazy.' It's kind of run its course for me. And '26' never really clicked as a name." Hair pinned back, he rinses his hands and splashes at his face. "I'll settle it on the way over. Shall we go?"
"Gods, you're so cool," Scar breathes, staring back at him. His mouth quirks up in a smile at one end in a very GoodTimesWithScar sort of way. "I told Jimmy you'd say no."
"How long have you known me, Scar?"
Scar giggles, waving a dismissive hand. "L-let's not get into it… You're very cool, Pig. And handsome!"
"I appreciate that, yeah."
They give him the rundown on the way downstairs. Jimmy and Scar are looking to team up, taking turns with a single vessel, in a painful attempt to defeat the ender dragon and free the End before the chaotic duo of Grian and Joel. "And every time we die," Jimmy explains, looping his arm around Lazy's neck, "then Scar and I switch off who's in control."
"So are we all in my vessel at once?" he asks, pushing open the apartment door. They step onto the street together. The road's all bedrock, accented in a sidewalk of deepslate half-slabs as far as the eye can see. As always, Lazy glances down the left-hand street. The slime soul spawner sits in a place of honor in the town center, wrapped in the roots of an enormous dark oak tree. It's custom made, entirely decorative… but it's fun to admire nonetheless. Should I say hi to Mum? I should swing by and say hi to Mum.
"No, no… We're taking turns." Jimmy pats Lazy on the shoulder as though in reassurance. He's not the most reassuring fella that there's ever been, but Lazy lets him anyway. "The thing is, we log off every time we die. You're the only one who'll know everything that's happening for the both of us. You're collecting all the footage and as a third party, you'll be there to hold us responsible so we can't do any cheaty cheating. We're in a race, after all. We're Minecraft professionals. Does that all sound good?"
"You want to know what I think?" Lazy peels away from Jimmy and starts walking backwards, thrusting his hands in his hoodie pockets. He sticks his tongue at Scar. "I think Mr. Good Times With Fey here is hoping to wheedle out another password for his collection!"
"Oh, no, no, no," Scar protests, eyes like innocent emerald blobs. He lifts his cane, shaking both hands back and forth. "I don't take those anymore… I'm an honest man, Mr. Pig!" He bops Lazy on the head with his cane, then scampers down the road with a hum. He catches the copper rod of a lamppost with the cane hook and swings around, over and over, just waiting for Lazy and Jimmy to catch up. Lazy rolls his eyes.
"You're getting a substitute password if we do this. And you can keep it."
Scar makes a face, but doesn't protest. One-times do nothing for me, goes unsaid. His cane clicks and scrapes as he twirls around the pole again. Then Scar drops back to the road and pauses to massage his foot.
Grian and Joel, apparently, will be inviting someone new to the station to play this little game. Lazy asks about that as he and Jimmy wait for Scar. Jimmy shrugs. "Some endermite soul showed up near the fox spawner and got tangled in their soul-catcher. They never found his vessel, so Mama Fox let Etho bring him to the station."
Lazy lifts one eyebrow.
"All right," Jimmy amends, scratching behind his neck. He flashes a guilty smile. His canary-yellow wings, small and positioned low against his back, give the softest flutter. "He may have smuggled the guy out to bring him here, yeah. You know Mama Fox. She's gotta have one of everything in her collection…"
"I do believe I made her acquaintance once, yes. I wasn't gonna mention it, but I did wonder how he could've swayed an entire soul out of her if there wasn't a bit of deception involved. It's been a hot minute since we've had a new endermite hybrid running around, yeah? Good for him. Hey Scar, I'm gonna say hi to Mum real fast."
"That's fine! I'll be up in a minute. Just gotta rest my foot. My glitch did a weird jolt when I hopped down; oooh boy… I'm gonna be feeling that."

🦅 Favourite parrot colour?
I tend to go for the green ones because *branding*, but they tend to not like me or take a metric tonne of seeds to tame... Grey ones are a close second bc one time I was mining down at deepslate level when one of those spawned in the cave in front of me & started making zombie noises. Silly silly guy, only took 3 seeds to tame & now the whole colour type is lucky to me ^^
🌷 Favourite flower?
Can't pick just one bc I don't like the look of it when you only use one flower type... Gonna go with tulip bc of the colour diversity, but rose bushes are the best model bc they really do be bushing!! So good for decorating with.
🎂 Do you ever make more complex but less "efficient" foods? (cakes, pies, stews etc.)
I usually make at least 1 cake to place on a table in my starter base, & depending on where I'm basing I'll happily live off of pumpkin pies until I can be bothered to mob-wrangle for steak etc. Rabbit stew I've only ever made when trying to get the Balanced Diet advancement but mushroom soup / regen suspicious stew (oxeye daisy) are underrated as food sources in a pinch. I've been discovering the Farmer's Delight mod lately though, & it's such a good expansion on Minecraft foods without feeling out of place aaaaa I love it :D
⛏ Favourite building block?
TERRACOTTA BELOVED she's so warm and versatile and interesting and the dyed versions are unique and work REALLY well as complements or contrasts or to complete gradients... It's such a good block set that I always want to play around with & find ways to incorporate into my builds. This was a really hard question though as I like to believe a skilled builder can come up with a palette or style for Any block and make it look beautiful— yes Scar, even glazed terracotta, which I ALSO adore by the way. Magenta glazed I will defend you and your elytra-course cyberpunk city outrageous neon arrows until the day I die 😊✨
