heyy I saw your requests were open! Can i requset the typical crewel father figure stuff? If not that's totally okay! Lots of fluff with a gn!reader or a AFAB reader :3

Note : This did turn into a lil bit of angst, as in it made me cry while writing it. I'm sorry. It will happen again. A little cw for Crewel being judgy about everyone and everything. Enjoy!

☆ He's in full denial

☆ Doesn't want kids, never has, never will.

☆ At the same time though, he's parental towards you

☆ He still claims that he's only doing his part as a teacher (ignore the designer jacket he's draping over your shoulders)

☆ I think it'll take a long long time for him to warm up to being an actual figure for you.

☆ Maybe he'll do the whole push and pull thing, where he'll get really close with you, head pats, telling you he's proud of you, only to be kinda cold the next day. (I can't resist angst I'm sorry ;-;)

☆ He's of course been seen as a father figure by students before, but this is the first time he's seen a student as anything more.

☆ Not to say that he doesn't care for his students; no, he's quite close with a lot of them.

☆ Usually though, that's where the relationship went. He guides them, nurtures them, and wants to see them succeed.

☆ Parenthood is something entirely different. He understands this, he knows that it's an entirely different challenge all together.

☆ Parenting is to put the child before yourself, to care so much that it almost hurts, to have your very being tied to this child, helpless and alone without the proper guidance and knowing you have to be the one to guide them. (I'm getting carried away omg)

☆ Anyway, all that aside he'll start accepting that he sees you as a child probably after Azul's overblot.

☆ Seeing students in danger isn't exactly uncommon in a magic academy, so he's used to wrangling precarious pups to deal with any and all situations. He's learned to be calm and level headed in situations as required.

☆ That 'calm in a crisis' behavior doesn't last when you're involved though.

☆ After seeing you go through way, way too much, yet again, the reality of the situation finally clicks in.

☆ You're a kid, fully alone, no parent to call, no adult to help, nothing in a unfamiliar, terrifying situation.

☆ He decides to do the mature thing (unlike some people crowley) and thinks about how he actually views you instead of running away from his feelings for the 200th time.

☆ And now you have a dad that bitches about your possible love interests.

☆ He's supportive about your decisions, to be fair. He doesn't beat the boys away with sticks and stuff like that.

☆ That doesn't stop him from being judgy.

☆ "Hm...interesting choice"

☆ Literally mean girls you into good decisions

☆ Does have a tendency to be a little mean about fashion

☆ "Are you sure about...that? No no, it looks fine... As long as you like it"

☆ (oh n o I'm turning him into my mom)

☆ Overall, he's a good parent. He understands what needs a child has, and meets them fairly well.

☆ He's fairy loose with his parenting. You're allowed a lot of freedom, because he trusts that you can take care of yourself, and know when to come to him.

☆ This does mean he expects a lot from you. There's a level of maturity he expects, and he'll be disappointed if you don't meet that.

☆ He does learn to let up after a while though. He might know a lot about what parenting entails, but of course, theory and practice are two different things.

☆ Gift giving? Gift giving. Any hobby you have is 100% supplemented by him.

☆ And if that hobby is fashion? Yeah, there are a few days where the two of you don't see the sun.

☆ In the end, both of you are adjusting a lot. It takes a little while for him to figure out what you need, and what he has to do, but in the end, he does his best. And that's what counts, more than anything.

I have redesigned Promised Magolor and Oakley (slightly), just cuz they deserve it!

I'm kinda proud of myself for doing this, so I hope y'all like it as much as I do.

And just so I can link this post to future Promised Prince Magolor AU posts, I'm gonna share an updated lore dump about this AU under the cut

↓↓ Long Lore Dump ↓↓

In this AU, Magolor lost the fight to Mistilteinn by taking too many hits and nearly bleeding to death when he failed to cut the tree down. As Magolor pleaded for his life before fainting, Mistilteinn decided to spare him and take care of his wounds.

You see, the poor crown, filled with dark matter due to their previous kings' selfish desires, was tired of all the negativity that his power brings. He wanted something new, something different, something positive for once. And since Magolor is the only "king" that survived his corruption, he decided to take the chance and become his partner in life (think Meta and Galaxia but it gets weirdly romantic)

The crown tree, using the Gem Apple Seed as his host for his new body, proposes an offer to Magolor. A proposal that the crown will exchange his loyal onto Magolor if Magolor does the same for him. Which.... is basically a marriage proposal.

Magolor, fearing for his life at the time, took his offer. At first it was terrifying, having to be partnered up with something that nearly killed him. But the more they spend time together, the more they fell for each other (mostly like the plot of Beauty and the Beast).

When they officially tied the knot (crown boi wanted to wait until Magolor and him were seen as equals before they did the wedding), Magolor was crowned "The Promised Prince of The Void" and now raines over the dimension that once claimed him has a prisoner. And once Magolor's injuries were fully healed, he was able to the stuff he did canonically in the games (Kirby Clash stuff, Star Allies stuff, you get the idea). Tho Magolor has to keep his relationship a secret for a while, cuz if anyone like Meta Knight or Susie knows about this out of context, it's definitely gonna turn out bad.

As for the crown, he now goes by the name "Oakley", a name given to him by Magolor that he now wears proudly as king. Despite his background, he's actually a really big sweetheart and an old soul. He devoted himself to never bring his prince to harm in any circumstances. (in my words: he is a golden retriever with gentlemen vibes)

Idk how to finish this lore dump, so gonna try to sum it up to this: Theses two of are the biggest (and surprisingly healthiest) power couple in the Kirby galaxy, and rule over their little kingdom with an iron fist.

I thought it would be funny if there was an option for shin to pick up the gun instead of keiji during this fight, my friends agreed so I decided to make a quick edit and then the quick edit took me literally two hours. moral of the story there should be more high-quality playthroughs of 3-1a logic

#this was surprisingly really difficult #the screenshot I took was from 3-1a emotion so shin's icon is edited over. which you can kinda see if you squint #I had to add the particle things to the background myself and I nearly went mad trying to make them look natural #I had to erase most of the original screenshot because it had kanna and keiji in it and part of midori's body was covered by keiji's hand #and it just looked like balls overall #I had to add a couple one pixel long lines on top of the dummies' icons. the colors looked slightly off since keiji was in the screenshot #I copied and pasted the sprites from the wiki and spent an unbelievable amount of time trying to figure out what size they should be #I got the size of midori's sprite to match Exactly how it looked in the actual scene and I'm proud of myself for it #and I did it in ms paint because that's what I'm used to #and I'm only now realizing the many many many ways I could have made this easier for myself or made this look better #yttd #kimi ga shine #your turn to die #shin tsukimi #sou hiyori #midori yttd #yttd midori

Why is the Don Bluth art style so hard to mimic lmao, I've been practicing for what feels like ages and I've only made one sketch I think actually looks good lol

#not a vent post! I'm not like frustrated it's just a lot harder than i hoped it'd be lol #I'm trying to practice that style because i think the way they do expressions and body language is really compelling #and i especially need more practice drawing anthro animals #besides. if i ever get good at it i can draw my favorite characters in that style. like the guy who does Don Bluth Seinfeld videos #unironically an inspiration to me i think that it's so fun to take silly guys and draw them in a style you love #i have done one (1) drawing of Vicoros in the Don Bluth style that i think turned out good but I'll probably wait until morning to post it #so that more people see it lol #I'm actually kinda proud of how it came out for a practice run #but y'know! i can always improve and I'm sure I'll get better at it with time lol

Drew my Zorlok for @zorlok-if. Sadly, like many of my MCs, she's still nameless (I come up with designs first, names afterwards).

She looks more badass than she is like trouble but I promise she doesn't bite. Much.

I usually create my daughters for IFs as very sweet, caring sunshines but somehow I wanted to change that up here. So she's most likely going to be a little sarcastic ass gremlin with a heart of gold, maybe?

I really loved the character creation in the game, the beginning of the IF was amazing and I can't wait for more. I already like Tommy and want to protect him and my MC too even if she doesn't want to admit it

I chose the option very short and had to laugh when she turned out smaller than a 15 year old😂

I definitely had fun drawing her, that's for sure! :D
