People's reactions to significant phobias is so stupid "you just need to be a little bit brave" "don't you know that it isn't rational" "you can hold my hand" "don't make a fuss of yourself"

Babe. Do you even know what a phobia is , or are you just applying your distaste for spiders onto me, who has to be sedated when the object of my phobia is being forced on me

#about me #actually phobic #listen fuck all people who say that they have a phobia of something. but can still interact with the object of their fear #just say that you're really scared of something i don't want to hear that you're phobic #and then go yeah but i can still trap & release the object of my phobia #like. that's not phobic. that's scared.#i can't actually say the name of what I'm phobic about. when i read the word i have to take my emergency meds #last time i was in the presence of the object i literally had to be held down by 5 burly men #I'm banned from certain hospitals because of my reaction to the phobia.#when you call your fear of spiders phobic you're fucking making phobic people be dismissed by health #professionals #and like. I'm not saying that you're not scared. but pleeease use the correct language
