BSD Magazines Archive

After *checks* six months of working on this, I've finally completed the bsd magazines archive!! The photos above are only meant as table of contents: this is the folder with all the images included above in original quality and more, for a total of 360 pictures with multiple scans to display the best quality available on the internet. Here you can find the spreadsheet with the issues details, including magazine name, date, name of the illustration artist and translation when available, and most importantly source credits for every picture I included. In hope that anyone can find this useful or interesting, please enjoy!

Well, I'm back and the shop's re-opened! All stickers are up, all keychains are for sale again, and the watercolor prints are available for sale again!

This blog's certainly gone way past just my artwork and i certainly advertise more for my shop now than I post art, but running my shop leaves me with the same feeling of satisfaction now that posting art does, so I'm having fun with it.

Per usual, everything is up for pre-order in my shop here!

Btw, my manufacturer did accidentally send me three extra Sun keychains on accident so if you manage to snag one of them your order should be sent out this month rather than next!

Structured like an actual Animorphs book with a dumb diversion at the beginning, high-stakes violence and body horror in the middle, and the aftershocks of trauma at the end. But this one also has making out.

alright. know what? with Secrets of the Obscure right around the corner and plenty of new Mists-related sky island settings coming with it, I'll just bite the bullet and interest-check a little something I've been turning in my head for a long, long while.

would YOU be interested in a Mists-based GW2 roleplay guild that uses a lore compliant multiverse system to allow canon, canon-adjacent, lore-breaking, and otherwise 'contradictory' muses to coexist in the same setting?

simply put: every writer's cast would be set in their own self-contained universe. as such, everyone could bring whatever muses they want with their own personal headcanons, and no one could dictate what is or isn't canon for anyone else. so long as your muses are GW2-based, you're good to go! bring your Commanders, bring your canon-divergent OCs, bring your canon muses-- and yes, even the ones that are 'supposed' to be dead. who can say what might have happened in a strange world far across the Mists, after all?

neutral hubs and in-character safety guardrails would be in place to keep all muses on a relatively even playing field regardless of their power, history, and prestige, too. play hardball if you like, but it might not end quite the way you'd hope. the main rule would be to maintain good OOC etiquette at all times: no godmodding, no metagaming, no theft, don't blend IC and OOC, and so-on.

Hello Everyone!

Welcome and Re-Welcome to To Daydream Believers!!

I know the blog has been around forever, but with the influx of new people I thought I'd refresh the blog and welcome everyone again! I've been wanting to give the blog a facelift for a while, and it seems now is as good a time as any to reintroduce and reinvigorate the blog.

What is TDBFic?

I originally started the blog as the fanfiction reblogging sideblog to my original Glee/Klaine rewatch, fun&games, and podcasting blog - @todaydreambelievers. TDB isn't being run any more, but I've always maintained that as long as there is interest - I'd keep the blog going.

The intention of the blog was to be a safe space where fans of Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson could read works (about them individually or as a couple) without fear of running into bashing of either character. It was also meant to be a community blog where anyone could choose to participate on their own terms.

Becoming a Member -

Whether you're an author who would like a place to showcase their works or just a fan who'd like to recommend their favorite fics, anyone is allowed to be a member. All you need to do is shoot me -- @spaceorphan18 -- a message, and I'll make you a member. All I ask is that you follow (my relatively few) guidelines.

Also - even if you become a member, there's no obligation to reblog content, but the option is always open!

Guidelines -

So what are the guidelines?

All fanworks must be Kurt Hummel friendly and Blaine Anderson friendly. While that doesn't mean bad things can't happen to them - it does mean that a fan of either character can read a work and not feel like their favorite character is being intentionally bashed.

Be respectful of other users.

A couple of smaller items such as - please reblog, don't post and don't spam. Some basic common curtesy things.

That's really it. I'll have some more details on a main page when I get that up. But really, it boils down to play nice.

What about tagging?

You don't have to tag - but it is encouraged so people can find your works if they click on one of our links. I'm working on cleaning up the tagging page so that the tagging system is clear and easy to use.

What about all the old stuff?

It's not going anywhere - though please bear with me as I try to clean up the main page. You should be able to find all of the old content, as I don't plan on taking anything down.

Anything new to the blog?

Why yes! I have some ideas for ways to keep the activity up on the blog...

Author Spotlights -- Every week we would highlight a author or artist - featuring their works on the blog. I'd like to do this again! I'll get more details out soon - but anyone is welcome to participate, even if they've done it already!

Prompts & Tropes -- I'm not sure how I'd like to implement these, but I thought it'd be fun if we occasionally did prompts or trope weeks to inspire you to create new things.

Events -- We haven't been event heavy, but @snarkyhag and I are already thinking of something fun to do for this summer!

Polls -- Okay, so this isn't entirely creation focused, but back in the day, TDB did polls every Tuesday. Now that tumblr has a fun, new polling system, I thought I'd bring these back - because why not?

Okay, so I'm going to post some more survey results today, but I need to do it in a way that's not going to make people uncomfortable. A couple of the questions were about fanworks we like or blogs we look up to. Obviously I wouldn't turn that into any kind of ranking system, I haven't counted the "votes" and I'm not going to, but I think it would still be nice to share the amount of love that's been going around.

My idea right now is to use a number generator to pick 10 random fanworks and 10 random blogs from the 152 responses to put a spotlight on. Is that something that people are okay with, or should I just not post any of it?

hi everyone! announcing and adding this now, but i'm not going to actually do anything about it until the end of this week: i'm going to start softblocking for untagged or unhidden ns/fw content. it has become more of my dash than i'm comfortable with, and i need a way to filter it out. there's a little more reasoning under the cut.

EDIT: for continuously untagged/unhidden content! i'm not going to be softblocking you over forgetfulness and/or mistakes 😂

basically, look: write whatever you want to write! if you find n/sfw replies fun you should, by all means, write them! i'm not asking for you to stop for my (or anyone else's) sake, and i'm not asking for a reduction in type/amount. however, as much as you have the right to post the content, others have a right to not want to see it. no one owes you an explanation for a boundary like that (there's a whole BEVY of reasons someone might not want to see or interact with n/sfw content that have NOTHING to do with being "prudish" or "immature"). as someone tagging for blood on my dark urge blog, i don't really have time for arguments about tags being a hassle. but!! if you don't want to tag, read-mores are always an option.

personally, i'm fine seeing SOME amount of nsfw content, but i want to choose if, when, and how much.

this isn't a rule on my other blogs and isn't likely to be, but it has become really prevalent in this space, in particular. as someone who doesn't necessarily enjoy writing and/or seeing that kind of content, i'm just asking for a way to minimize its appearance on my dash. ❤️
