Din’s new Nevarro neighbors realizing pretty quickly that the new guy will help you with anything if you ask him nicely. Got a leaky roof? He’ll climb up there and patch it and clean out the gutters while he’s at it. Old and need someone to run into town and pick up some groceries for you? How many potatoes do you need, ma’am? Some creep keeps harassing you? Don’t worry about it, it’s taken care of.

Din has all the thank-you pies, cakes, and pastries he and Grogu can eat.

John and the league opt to summon the ghost king in hopes of figuring out why? Obviously having plans to seal him off if the need is there.

When they summon him they weren’t expecting what appeared to be a human teenager coming through the summoning circle.

Tim, leaning over to look at Bernard’s phone as they chill in Tim’s bedroom: whatcha doing?

Bernard: imma send Red Robin subtle messages until I trick him into admitting he’s into guys so I can sleep with him

Tim, bi panic, blushing: you’re what?

Bernard, typing out a message on his phone: here how does this sound Tim, ‘gay af to be a detective, what are you inspecting, other men??’, sound subtle enough?

Tim, too dumbfounded to speak:

Bernard: yeah you’re right, it’s perfect, imma send it

*Tims phone goes off, and then both watch it light up, Bernard seeing the message he just sent*

Tim, picking up his phone, typing, and sending a message without saying anything, face nearly bright red as he glances over at Bernard, who is staring at him wide eyed not saying anything

Bernard, looking down at the text Tim sent him back as Red Robin that says, ‘I like you, let’s fuck’:

this is what kills me about black orpheus (1959, dir. camus) actually. because orfeu is familiar with the story of orpheus and eurydice. early on someone even makes a joke like "your name's orpheus? where's your eurydice?" he knows the story and he knows what it means to be orpheus. and then at the pivotal moment he looks anyway because after all he's orpheus and he can't not.

#'there was an orpheus before me and there may be another after i’m gone'#hadestown clearly takes a lot of inspiration from black orpheus #including this sort of manifestation of the iterative nature of reception through the cyclicality of the story #but the way black orpheus has *orpheus* know the story he is acting out and still turn-- yeah. it gets me.#(hadestown is a lot foggier with characters' awareness and no one anything like the kind of clarity of orfeu and eurydice in black orpheus)#mine #i raise my cup to him #the op made this post unrebloggable presumably bc it got an unmanageable amount of comments #were gonna sing it again

okay what is everyone’s bsd light novel scene/line that they didn’t believe was an actual canon part of bsd even though they read that with their own eyes

#I think mine might be Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud trading names #I think my brain did a somersault when I read that #like how was that a canon thing to happen in bsd #Dazai saying it’s cute for a person to put a lot of effort into trying to kill someone else #and implying that Gide’s making advances towards Odasaku #that might be another one that made me pause and question whether or not I’m reading something that is actually canon #I know what you are Dazai #Adam taking a picture of Chuuya’s silly expression and saving it in his favorites folder is also up there #how is that a thing that happens during one of the most traumatic parts of Chuuya’s backstory #this is appreciation for asagiri and his silly little author fanfiction #I absolutely adore when I have to question my reading comprehension because something I’m reading just sounds way too wild to be true #bungou stray dogs #bungo stray dogs #bsd
