Sorry for listening to what has Literally Been Said by the Actual Ppl Who Created The Show but actually I think Ed choosing to be soft and do soft things and act up with Stede in episode four was a choice and not a game.

It was very clearly NOT part of any kind of act to get them to trust him, considering Izzy literally tried to get him to cut it out and Ed REPEATEDLY ignored him.
