KIRBY'S DREAMLAND 3 ON THE SUPER NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAY IM SO STOKED ABT THIS DRAWING SERIES (it is going to take me a million years to finish and be much longer than KDL2 just a warning LOL)!!!! KDL3 is one of my favorite Kirby games, I played it all the time as a kid! Tbf a lot of Kirby games are my favorite. But this is probably my favorite OLD Kirby game! It's missing a lot of modern Kirby conventions, but I still love it so much, it's so cozy and warm.
In my gijinka AU timeline it's set about a year after Star Stacker, so Kirby is now 13. I dunno if I set ages for the original Animal Friends ngl. I think Coo's in his early 50's, Kine's in his early 40's, and Rick's in his mid 20's. ALSO I finally found out what the nonbinary equivalent to nephew/niece is!! It's nibling!! Kirby is Rick, Coo, and Kine's honorary nibling!
I will get into Acro and Ado's context in this gijinka universe during their respective boss encounters, but for now I CAN tell you about the new generation of Animal Friends! I described them on instagram as "extended found family"-- they're loosely connected to the original 3 Animal Friends in the sense that they know them well, but they're brought closer together through knowing Kirby!
Nago is from the Iceberg and knows Rick well because he often visits the Iceberg to improve his climbing skills. I imagine that he and Kirby might 'click' because Nago is trans and Kirby is nonbinary? Nago's a teenager/young adult, but is the oldest of the 3 new Animal Friends. He's a werecat and can turn into a giant calico cat whenever he feels like it! So I guess he and Rick probably would be friends since they're very alike?
Chuchu is from Ripple Field, so she and Kine have met before! Kine has told her many stories about his adventures as a Dark Matter hunter on the surface world, though Chuchu finds herself most interested in his friend Kirby! She thinks Kirby is cute and wants to date him. Kirby has never dated anyone in his entire life and has no idea what romance is like! Chuchu is a flapjack octopus mermaid with mild transformation abilities-- she doesn't have a fully human form like Kine does and is instead half human half octopus in her default form, but fully octopus while transformed. Chuchu is a year older than Kirby.
Pitch is a harpy like Coo, but he's just a lost baby essentially. He's only 4 years old! For now Coo is looking after him since there aren't many other harpies in Dreamland (much less any who'd want to care for Pitch) but they both really want to find Pitch's mother. Pitch sees Kirby as an older brother and likes to shadow him. Unlike Coo, Pitch shrinks when he transforms and turns into a tiny bird you can fit in the palm of your hand! I think he is a shima enaga specifically. A colorful one I guess. They can't be green irl lol.
ALSO I decided to reveal Zero extra early because honestly I don't like that they're just, at the end of the game only! And I like their design a lot. I've drawn them before. I think they deserve a bit more limelight! So I drew them in 2 panels here.
ALSO ALSO (oh my god this post is so long already) thank you everyone for blowing up my Gryll post!! glad 2 see there r so many Gryll enjoyers on here :)

The one Kirby game that really deserves a remake, in my opinion.
Tumblr media
When Return to Dreamland Deluxe came out, I've then noticed people wanting remakes for Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot. And if I'm going to be honest? I don't think it's necessary to remake those two games. At least not around this time. They're still deep in the newer half of the spectrum for Kirby games, they're still literally from one console ago, and thus I believe it's too soon to remake them.
Remakes don't happen very often in the Kirby series anyways. But if I think there's one game in the series that absolutely deserves a remake more than the others, I think it's Dreamland 2.
This is another long rant so I'll add a "keep reading" tag to this if you're curious to hear more of my thoughts as to why I think this.
Dreamland 2 is the most outdated mainline Kirby game, as the original Kirby's Dreamland has been used for Super Star's Spring Breeze gamemode, and Kirby's Adventure has been remade into Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland for the GBA.
Dreamland 2 is the only mainline game in the series that you can't play in graphics better than Gameboy Color.
And the game has a lot of flaws. Due to being on the Gameboy, it's got a small screen. Kirby can't even run in this game because of how small the screen is. Kirby also loses his copy ability EVERY time he takes damage in this game, compared to other games where it usually takes more than one hit for him to lose his ability.
Rick and Kine both suck to use in this game, but thankfully they've been heavily improved in Dreamland 3 when they gave Rick all sorts of perks like climbing walls and being unphased by slippery terrain, and allowed Kine to be faster on land. But in Dreamland 2? Coo is the only one out of the three animal friends that's actually good here.
Planet Robobot is still pretty fresh and fine, as is Triple Deluxe. They can stand pretty well on their own and don't need remakes for a while. Dreamland 2, however, really shows its age. It's good for a Gameboy game, but it's so archaic and lackluster compared to all the newer Kirby titles, and like I said above, it's the most outdated since even the Kirby games older than it got remade one way or another.
Remaking Dreamland 2 into the modern era could easily go a long way to do it much needed justice. It could address all or at least the majority of its problems. It could provide a bigger screen to let Kirby actually run like he does in the newer games. Rick and Kine could be given all the same buffs that they were given in Dreamland 3. Heck, we could probably even add a few more copy abilities to provide combinations for, as after all we're still only dealing with three animal buddies here, so it should be okay to add a couple more abilities into the mix! They added some abilities in RTDL's remake that weren't there in the original game, so the same can apply here.
I think a Kirby adventure where Rick, Kine and Coo are the companions could be great. I love those three characters anyways. But Dreamland 2 as we know it is really outdated, barebones and tbh I'd be hard-pressed to call it fun at this point. For a Gameboy game, yes, but it's kind of a joke compared to all the newer Kirby titles. Looking at this game, it seems absolutely ripe for a remake imo.
Dreamland 2 is a short game, but in a remake they could easily just add more gamemodes to make it a larger game compared the original. I'm aware that a remake doesn't typically do any real notable expansions on the gamemodes that existed in the original, but I mean.. they could add a few things in the original mode. Like I said, they could maybe add a few more copy abilities.
Extra gamemodes.. I dunno, they could be stuff similar to Merry Magoland. I'll admit, I'm not that creative when trying to think about gamemodes, I guess they'd come up with stuff fine if they ever choose to remake this game into the modern era.
Also, maybe GOOEY could be a little bit something more in a hypothetical Dreamland 2 remake compared to how he was just in the bags in the original to serve as a heal item if you already were riding around with Rick, Kine or Coo. Who knows? Maybe a Gooey "epilogue" that happens between Dreamland 2 and Dreamland 3 to show his growth and to how he got to his position in Dreamland 3! Although I'll be honest, I'm not exactly advocating for all sorts of characters to have prologue/epilogue-style gamemodes similar to what Magolor got, as that could get old and repetitive pretty fast. But hey.. I think Gooey would be a sensible candidate if they actually do decide to go that route again for whatever reason.
Given Dreamland 2's shortness, even with extra gamemodes included I would agree that a remake for the game definitely wouldn't be worth $60 like most switch games are. I guess... $15-30 would be better? HOWEVER, I wouldn't be opposed to a "Dreamland Trilogy" that contains all of Dreamland 1, Dreamland 2 and Dreamland 3.
Dreamland 3 is also rather old for the series, although the idea of remaking that game sounds a bit weirder in comparison because I think it should keep its crayon aesthetic to allow it to stay unique. I also think it's generally more fleshed out than Dreamland 2. So in my opinion, Dreamland 3 isn't as needing of a remake as its predecessor is. I wouldn't be too opposed to it, though, since it's also old.
Anyways, those are my thoughts. I can understand why people would want Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot to be remade, but they're still new for Kirby games, and I think it'd be weird to just remake all the Kumazaki games and ignore all the older titles that arguably need remakes so much more. I mean, remakes are rare in the series like I said earlier, but if we're gonna choose another one to remake, I think it's pretty obvious who could ACTUALLY use it. Dreamland 2 is the one Kirby game in most dire need of a remake, in my opinion.
What do you think?

2023 Accomplishments, 2024 Hopes
I did a lot of stuff this year, so I'm gonna talk about stuff I'm happy about accomplishing this year!
Art
I made the most money ever for commissions! Almost $900 I hope to make more next year!
I finished quite a few comics as well as Cherry's first journal! Comics have always been quite difficult for me to finish, so I'm proud of being able to do a handful of them!
I got to be a featured artist in an app! That was a pretty cool experience getting to test out and draw in an app! Also getting paid to do so!
Next year, I would like to try an improve on some things with my art, finish more art, and maybe get another art job!
-----
TTRPGS
I played a LOT of DnD this year.
In my Monday game, we're closely approaching our 100th sessions and possibly the end of our first campaign! I love Cherry so much and I hope she gets through it all with the Flockless! This is the longest campaign I've ever been in and the highest level I've grown to as well. Cherry went from level 3-13 so far, how my baby has grown! We also got to play some Kids on Bikes and Pathfinder 2e which was very fun! I hope to do more games after we finish campaign 1!
With my Tuesday group, I got to make so many fun characters and also try some new TTRPGs too! I'm excited for all the fun little things we'll get to do next year! I love Manon and hope we figure out the nature of this world.
I hope to finally run something next year for my friends next year, but we'll see how it goes!
-----
Video Games
I played a fuck ton of games this year. I got really into simulation games because I find them relaxing and nice.
The games I beat this year:
Garden in!
Paradise Marsh
Flying Neko Delivery
Unpacking
Lumbearjack
Terra Nil
Alba A Wildlife Adventure
Mail Time
Katamari Damacy Reroll
We Love Katamari Reroll
Frog Detective 3
Sticky Business
Pikmin 4
Garden Buddies
Pizza Tower
Loddlenauts
Moonstone Island
Frogsong
Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe
I'm excited for a fuckton of indie games coming out next year and for the Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door remake. I need to beat the original before it comes out but we'll see how that goes.
My favourite games this year were Pikmin 4, Pizza Tower, Loddlenauts and Moonstone Island for sure!
-----
Life
No major changes happened in my life this year. I'm hoping next year I have more luck in finding an art job, but overall, I'm pretty ok with where I am.Working at a grocery store will always suck, but I'm at least making enough money to buy things I like and help my family out a bit.
I went to my first Pride parade this year. When I was sitting at the subway waiting for my friends to arrive I almost cried because seeing the sheer amount of queer people around was just heart-warming and made me feel like it was all gonna be ok. I got my first ace flags, one of which is on my desk near Rawhide. I also got handed a paper for black queer people which was a lil funny. I also got a lot of compliments on my outfit which felt very good.
Mental health wise, it's also been very ok. I'm hoping to get more support in terms of my ADHD meds since I've been on the same dosage for a while and things could be better.
-----
Lastly...
This is a lil sappy, but I wanna say thanks to all my friends and my sister for making this life worth living. I haven't been in a depressive rut in a long time because of those I love, the things I love, and the things I'm looking forward to. Life for me isn't always rainbows and sunshine, but I'm always happy about the small things that make it worthwhile. I'm looking forward to making and sharing more art with my friends, playing video games and TTRPGs, and just doing what I enjoy in life!

Kirby 64 was a bit better than I had thought it would be, given its age and the series' track record involving forced collectibles up to this point (side eyes Dreamland 3). I think what helps it is a very charming art style that actually works on the old N64 hardware, in addition to the ability to combine any two power ups together to make new abilities.
Adeleine, Waddle Dee, Dedede and Ribbon make for a cute batch of little companions for Kirby on his adventure throughout the cosmos. They were just present enough throughout the course of the game to feel like they were there the whole time, while at the same time they never overstayed their welcome when it came to their gimmicks and the game had plenty of room to let the littlest pink ball of joy and happiness spread his wings and soar.
The Crystal Shard collecting, as I was properly warned about before hand, was more annoying than it ever felt rewarding. Some required power ups you couldn't even get in that stage (and good luck magically knowing what those paint colors on the breakable walls mean), some were just... there, and some would appear in places where you had to do shit like 'Pick-a-Door' where you would be harshly punished for not being clairvoyant (or using save states religiously). Seriously, I shouldn't be punished for beating a mini boss by immediately dropping me down into the next area without warning before I can pick up a Shard, it's just bad game design in a game that otherwise oozes charm.
I can definitely see, however, why Crystal Shards has such a dedicated, vocal fan base who love it all these decades later. Even when I got irritated at the game I was still having fun, and I just kept having trouble keeping a smile off my face the whole time playing through it. With this I just have 4 mainline and 2 (3) more Kirby games to play this year for my Kirbython 2023 to be completed. (Amazing Mirror, Squeak Squad, Star Allies, Forgotten Land) (Rainbow Curse, Mass Attack) (I’m still debating on if I want to even bother finishing Tilt n’ Tumble) As someone who played the og GB game to death as a little girl (and also put in a healthy amount of time on Adventure as well back in the day), but just...never really finished many Kirby games throughout the years; it’s been an absolute joy and a blast to go through all of these Kirby games (most of them for the first time). (I meant to x-post my little ‘reviews’ here on Tumblr before now as well as on my forum that I hang out in but I kinda just, well, forgot. Once the Kirbython is complete I’m thinking I’ll do a series of posts just, gushing about Kirby and stuff in order to give my thoughts on the series as a whole)

Meet the Cast: Robobot Armor
I gotta be honest, this one's very amusing since it's littered with swear words, but here's the last one for the day (hopefully), Robobot Armor. I can't believe they are the swearing guy of the team, but shut up lol.
--------------------
"Taking you long enough? Alright, f^ck it."
Tumblr media
Basic Information
Name: Robobot Armor
Age: 3 months [chronologically]/19 [mentally]
Gender: Genderfluid
Orientation: Asexual
Hometown: Access Ark Green Greens Star Hill, Dreamland, Popstar Unknown ("Okay, actually, how the f^ck do I explain that one?")
Species: Artificial Being [Mechanical]
Ability: Pure
Job: Protector, adventurer
Other names: Truthful Steel Defender, Tincan ("If anyone but Bandee f^cking call me this, I'll make a sh^tty corpse out of them. I am not fighting for my freedom to be called a F^CKING tincan.")
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Born out of Kirby's untimely curiosity with a certain beta test chip, this mechanical suit managed to find a way to break out from their programming and live a life of their own with their now owner and friendly rival. Acting rough and tough to keep others from trying to harm their allies is not a problem, but despite them actually being softer than they let on, their battle system that mimics Kirby's own shows that they were really forged to fight, with less selections but more consistent and greater damage output. They are definitely the strongest member of the team physically, which comes to good use as they can tank more hits in the frontline.
Detailed Information
Goals/Motivation: "I was born to protect the living sh^t out of Kirby - he is my master, I had to. But then, he gave me some pretty damn good experiences, and now, I'll be f^cking fair, I realize there's more than just protecting him all the damn time. So now, I want to experience life. That is all. Screw those assholes who think I couldn't have one as a damn machine."
Hobby: "Well, I've been rather interested in organic life or whatever the hell it's called. I like gardening. Embarrassing for someone like me, you say? Well, you can go f^ck yourself. Learning about plant life is just pretty damn fun to do, especially how accepting they are to be taken care of, unlike some sh^tty people... Oh, and I like sharing all that sh^t with Taranza."
Favorite Food: "...do I look like I can f^cking eat to deduct this? I don't, so..."
Least Favorite Food: "...again, f^cking hell, do I look like..." *shrug*
Favorite Game Type: "I'm a robot, so I'm not damn sure if playing technology would be something I'd do, since I'm one. But f^ck it, just give me those simulation games or something. Gives me some f^cks to care when I get bored- Oh sh^t the doggy just died. Damn..."
Habits: Peppers swear words ALL THE TIME [thanks to Bonfire], tends to pick up Bandana in their arms so he can sleep well, observes every plant or animal they see
Other Liked Things: "Okay, so there's this f^cking red cloth I slung around me. That sh^t was from a flag Kirby just stole. He said something along the lines of making myself feel more accepted in the team since they all wear some sort of fabric or some sh^t. Though..." *mimics Kirby's gesture of holding one arm with the other solemnly* "...it does feel nice. I'll be damn honest, I was dang pissed off that when I was stuck as a damn hologram without my body, I wasn't able to feel it anymore! Kirby wound up getting a new proper one for me once I got my body back but... I'm still damn attached to the old one. Oh, and I also like those f^cking plants people gave me sometimes."
Secret: Actually just wants to be accepted fully as themselves. As being based on the invader armor, they sometimes become a walking trauma trigger for others who had experience with the HWC before. While most slowly but eventually became more open, some still avoided them. They understand that they can't befriend everyone, but the fact they kept making others feel scared unintentionally makes them feel a bit bad for themselves. They also sometimes feel a bit envy on how biological beings can live their life.
Relationships
Best Friends: "As my 'master', Kirby is one. Bandee too. Those two little sh^ts. They taught me a lot, I wouldn't live this far if it weren't be for them. And also Taranza, he gave me a lot of f^cking experiences in this whole organic life thing. To all of you, thank you."
Rivals: "Well, Bandee used to be a b^tch, so we used to beat each other's ass a lot. Nowadays, we still do, but friendlier. He always gives a damn good match."
Enemies: "F^ck you, Bonfire. I proven you wrong, asshole. Oh, and f^ck the old HWC people. Those idiots who thought I'd totally stick around to be their tool or some sh^t."
Family: "...Team Starstruck counts, right? F^ck yeah it does."
Crush/Love Interest: "I don't get what the hell it is and I am fine without it. But my master, Kirby, apparently has one, and apparently he couldn't f^cking admit that sh^t! It's funny as heck!"
Skills and Abilities
Overview:
Due to being binded to Kirby's Adaptor Chip, Robobot Armor shares some similarities with the Technician ability he is holding. They have their own Ability Modes and changes appearance and weapons accordingly. However, they have less choices (they have 13 configurations total, not including Halberd Mode and Final Weapon) but more consistent damage output. In other words, what Robobot Armor lacks in variety, they back it up with sheer strength.
Strength: Being a mechanical being means that they don't have to worry much about pain and durability. Robobot Armor is, well, strong enough on their own. Their strength lends them leeway to break things without having to think much about it, and their size apparently helps them to grapple opponents and toss them around. There's a bit of a wrestler in them, indeed. Ability Modes also makes it possible for alternative battle styles, just like Kirby. Basically? They hit VERY hard.
Weakness: Unfortunately, being a walking hunk of metal doesn't always guarantee that they can catch up to others speed-wise without boosting. Robobot Armor can still be overwhelmed by speed and numbers. They might not be fragile, but at the same time, they can't survive on their own when facing a huge army without help. They usually rely more on tanking hits, but eventually, they still have their limits and they'll be downed eventually with persistence.
"Sh^t, that took way too long now, didn't it? F^cking great..."

I have 3 ideas for how Kirby rpg happens:
1. Normal Kirby game, only difference is that it’s an rpg now
2. Kirby got sucked into a universe where everything is now a rpg. He recruits this world’s versions of his friends and they set off on an adventure. (It would get bonus points if they make fun of rpgs and their troupes)
3. Its just the DreamLand Squad playing a remake of an rpg that dedede used to play. They vibe and joke with each other and they’re just having fun, and there’s a lot of jokes about video game remakes and rpgs. (Bonus: The post-game is just dedede and meta knight playing the old version of the rpg)
I'd prefer the first option, but third option also sounds very charming. I think it still can work like a game inside of the game type of activity, like, imagine Castle Dedede as the main hub location where you go between dungeons and towns to relax and Dedede has this game system setup to just have fun for a bit.

Temporary Grump (Dan x Reader) Part 2
Synopsis : You and Dan record your first video. Type : Fluff E/C : Eye color Y/N : Your name Y/N/N : Your nickname A/N : I honestly feel like this one is poopy buuuutt I hope y’all like it <3
Tumblr media
(Low key inspired by this gif so thank you ❤️)
As you walk back down the hall towards the grump room you can hear Dan frantically rushing to set things up. You cant help but laugh, he must really be backed up on videos.
You turn into the grump room and Dan is ready on the couch. Somehow (without giving you any warning) he is already recording.
“Welcome back to Game Grumps! I am sad to say that our dear friend Arin is sick right now. Don’t worry, it’s nothing life threatening! But for the time being we have a lovely coworker to come and fill in! Y/N please come and say hello, you amazing, wonderful, human, you!”
As you walk over to the couch he butters both you and the lovelies up, trying to make up for backing you up on work. You sit on the couch, taking a purposefully long time to get settled and comfy in the couch with the mic, making funny noises as you do. Suddenly you stop, listening to Dan’s cackling that already started, you love to make him laugh.
“Hey lovelies! I’m so glad to be here right now! I’ve never been on any YouTube video so I hope this goes well.” You laughed, honestly pretty nervous about the whole situation, being alone with Dan and recorded for the world to see.
“It’s going to go amazing I’m sure” he soothes you, though it seems like he’s bouncing off the walls a little himself. “Today we’re playing Kirby’s Nightmare In Dreamland!” Dan announces, you don’t notice his eyes watching you, waiting to see your reaction.
You gasp, pulling your legs up and really getting comfortable. “Oh my god Danny!”
He laughs in joking cockiness, “I know I know I’m amazing~” He flips his floofy hair over his shoulder. “I mean, you’ve asked me to help you on almost all the hard parts. So I knew you were playing it and I bought it on the Wii U for your series.”
You can’t form words at first. “Danny wow… first of all, I didn’t ask you about ALL the hard parts… just the really hard parts.” But you don’t care to really hear his answer to that so you skip to the next part. “But what do you mean my series?”
His smile is wide, but there’s a hint of nervousness behind it. “Well, if you and the lovelies are up for it, this game isn’t that long so we could do one video now and a session later and it be your series we put you in the intro of course and everything…” After a moment Dan realizes he’s rambling and slows to a stop allowing you to speak.
“I love that idea! I feel so honored and a part of the Grump family” Your heart melts at the fact that Dan went through all this trouble… to buy your favorite game and to agree to make breakfast early before work. You really felt right at home with him.
“I’m so glad Y/NN, are you ready to embark on a new adventure?” He smirks, handing you your controller.
“Absolutely” You laugh, pushing start on the game.
You and Dan spent the next half hour playing your favourite game ever. The entire session was filled with nothing but laughter, smiles, and blushy cheeks.
Once time was up you both said goodbye and Dan ended the recording. “See? That wasn't so bad was it?” He ruffles the top of your hair playfully.
You pout, going to fix your hair. “I had a great time Dan, I'm really excited for next time. I just hope the lovelies like me.” You laugh a little bit, honestly a bit nervous about how the fans will react to you.
“Y/N the lovelies will love you I'm sure of it and I'm always right behind you no matter what” His kind smile reassures you and all your worries melt off your back.
Suddenly, you feel something tickling at your feet. Your legs are rested up across the couch and Dan is wiggling his toes against yours. You squeal and jump your feet back, pulling your knees to your chest.
“Dan quit!!”
He just laughs “What you don't like feet Y/N? What's wrong?” as he continues to slide across the couch sticking his feet in your face. You don't hesitate to get up and run to he other side of the room.
“Dan stop!!” You can't help but laugh as you whine to him. “I have to get back to work!”
He stops coming to chase after you, not wanting you to stop spending time with him but not wanting you to be stressed about work.
“Alright we’ll a deals a deal, I'm coming help you.”
Though you try to tell him to work on whatever he needs to, he insists on helping you with your work. You both spend the rest of the day in your office working on your backed up work. There's a lot of laughs but also a lot of good work gets done.
At the end of the day it's finally time for you both to head home, you stand outside next to your cars for a while, unable to end the conversation.
“Y/N I had a lot of fun with you today, we need to work together like this more often.” His smile is beaming at you, in the setting sun you can barely see his slightly pink cheeks. He can't take his eyes off you, your E/C practically glowing in the sunlight.
“Me too Danny, thanks a lot for helping me today.”
You both stand there for a moment and there's a tension in the air as you share a hug. It felt so right to be in his arms, you wondered if he was feeling the same things or if this is all in your head. You back up shyly and start to head to your car.
“See you tomorrow for breakfast right Danny? Drive safe” you call to him as you get into your car.
As you start up and drive away you can't get him out of your head. Your heart is pounding as your mind speeds with thoughts of tomorrow morning. You're going to be spending a lot of time together for these next couple days, you hope your heart can take it.
//This one was so all over the place I'm so sorry

I'm curious what games that have (playable) characters in Smash you've played. Have you considered having a list in your carrd for that?
I do keep lists for my own personal use but I haven't thought about adding a page to the carrd. I'm starting to consider it now that you've suggested it to me, but I haven't decided for certain.
But I can give you a summary of the list I made for myself.
Mario: I've played the series extensively enough to know most of the characters like the back of my hand (I don't know the Koopalings as well as the others); the specific list of which Mario games I've played is long enough that it would clutter this post so it might be better to just ask for that specifically.
Donkey Kong: Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 (I haven't gotten around to playing 3 yet and I don't have DK64 or any of the newer DKC games)
Zelda: Of the games with the playable Links, I've played Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, and Breath of the Wild. I'm currently playing through Wind Waker (I've just entered the Wind Temple), and I've also played Skyward Sword. I have not played either Hyrule Warriors game.
Yoshi: Yoshi's Island is the only one I've finished, but I've played a bit of Yoshi's Story (a childhood fav despite never beating it) and a small bit of Wooly World
Kirby : I've layed Kirby's Dream Land 1-3, Kirby's Adventure, Super Star Ultra, Canvas Curse, Epic Yarn, Return to Dreamland, Triple Deluxe. I've watched a playthrough of Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Kirby Fighters 2 but not played them; aside from the rest of the main platformers I'm drawing a blank on what else I need to play because almost all of the sub-games/"au" games are all interconnected somehow but I don't know which ones are skippable.
Star Fox: I've played Star Fox 64 3D and since I don't have a Wii U I just watched a playthrough of Star Fox Zero; not ideal but better than nothing
Pokemon: At least one version of the mainline games from gen 4 onwards (Diamond, Platinum (my first), HeartGold, Black, White 2, X & Y, Omega Ruby, Sun, Ultra Sun, Shield, and I'm currently playing through Brilliant Diamond), I've played a few of the side/spinoff games but not very many (PMD Explorers of Time (only partly), Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs (I own all 3 but I've only played GS), PokePark Pikachu's Adventure, the original Pokemon Rumble, and Battle Revolution (a fav but I've never beaten it)). I haven't played either of Red/Leaf's games, though (I haven't decided whether I wanna buy RBY for my 2ds or emulate FRLG).
Fire Emblem: I've played Awakening and am partway through a second playthrough, and I'm currently working on Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light
Game & Watch: Game & Watch Gallery 1-3, couldn't find anything on 4 that was neither included in the other 3 or relevant to Mr. Game & Watch
Kid Icarus: I've played Uprising and I've played a little bit of the original
Wario: I've played a little bit of Wario Land: Shake It (I think anyways) and I played WarioWare when I was little
Metal Gear Solid: I watched a friend play MGS2 and he's currently playing through MGS3; ironically I only got a brief glimpse of MGS1 (i.e. the game that the actual Solid Snake is the main character of)
Pikmin series: I played Pikmin 3 Deluxe (including the two Olimar side games) and I've watched the TRG playthrough of Pikmin 1 and part of chuggaaconroy's playthrough of 2
Mii/Wii series: Wii Fit, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Nintendo Land, and I've played a tiny bit of the demo for Miitopia (I made Luigi in the game and I've seen the intro)
Pac-Man: A little bit of the original Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man
1 game only: I've played Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, Metroid NES, a small bit of F-Zero SNES, Ice Climber, part of Mega Man 1 on the legacy collection (got past yellow devil and then dropped it), Little League of Punch-Out NES, Banjo-Kazooie, one low-level classic mode run of Arms, Minecraft, and I have vague memories of one of the Kingdom Hearts games. Right now I'm playing through Earthbound, Final Fantasy 7, and Dragon Quest 11 S.

1. Favorite game:
D-Personally, I really liked Triple Deluxe!
2. Favorite character and why:
D- I’ve always liked Metaknight, the edgy boi that he is. He’s both really cool and totally lame
3. Game you want to play but never had:
D- Return to Dreamland. I’d say Epic Yarn, but it’s getting rereleased soon!
4. Main any Kirby characters in Smash?
D- Heck yeah! Metaknight’s one of my mains!
5. Favorite Track:
D- Moonlight Beauty and Astral Birth are really good tracks!
6. Favorite locations:
D- The fountain of dreams is always so pretty, especially the Smash stage
7. Fun copy to play as:
D- I love Bell, but for reoccurring ones, Cuter’s reliable!
8. Hard to control copy:
D- Stone and Hammer. Strong but weird to use!
9. Fave final boss:
D- Even though I haven’t finished Robobot, Star Dream looks like a fun fight!
10. Baddie/ Ally fave?
D- Egg wizard Magalor and weird apples and/or The rat king Daroach!
11. Star Allies fave:
D- I like the Doos
12. Hard boss fights:
D- Well, if you’re a scrub like me, I’m getting my tail kicked in by Paint Roller on Kirby’s adventure. I’m not that great at the d-pad dependent games
13. Like the Kirby anime?
D- I like it! There are some problems with the writing, and the styles are kinda eh nowadays, but I like the lore stuff!
14. Fave anime exclusive character?
D- Escargoon (he’s just a hoot to see) and Sirica (I really like hr weapon and I’d love to have seen her more)
15. Favorite headcannon?
D- Rei likes to think that Kirby’s blush glows if he’s really blushing. And I like to think of Dedede as a total dad with dad jokes.
16. OTPs/ friendships:
D- Uh… I don’t really ship characters in Kirby, maaaaybe Dedede with like Escargoon or Metaknight under the right situation??? Aaaaaa, well, I’m always into friendships though! And you’ll see some of the wacky combos in the future!
17. Favorite vehicle?
D- The Lor Starcutter! I like a good boat!
18. Unpopular opinion:
D- I like the lore in the anime, but they should’ve gave Metaknight a bit more… Personality? All the things happen around him, but it doesn’t seem to affect him, and that really sucks…
19. First Kirby game
D- The Dream Collection (Kirby’s Dreamland)
20. Ever 100%?
D- Close for TDX, but not really. I’m not that mlg my dude…

Kirby Review - What Should Your First Kirby Game Be?
It’s no secret that I am a die-hard fan of the Kirby series. One of the items on my bucket list is to play every single Kirby game to its completion. I really wish more people would get into the series, especially those who haven’t played video games before. If someone were to come up to me and say they were interested in Nintendo, I would recommend either Mario or Kirby as their first experience, as they are relatively simple to understand, feature a basic story with basic controls, and are just a bunch of fun.
Tumblr media
So, you may be thinking, “Hey, I want to play a Kirby game!” Maybe you’ve seen the hype around Planet Robobot, or you found out about Kirby’s 25th anniversary happening this year. Either way, it may be a bit hard to choose a game to start with. Which one is the best Kirby game to start your journey into Dreamland?
Tumblr media
Well, that’s just it. Any Kirby game will make a fine introduction to the series. Kirby games are meant to be introductory and simple, with no major overarching story to find yourself in the middle of or a list of characters you need to learn about. If you told me Kirby Mass Attack was your first Kirby game, I’d say that was fine. If you told me Kirby’s Pinball Land was your first experience with the little puff, that’s fine too. Honestly, you could put every Kirby game on a cork board, throw a dart, and you’d have picked a fine game.
Tumblr media
That being said, there are some games that are better to start off with, and games I think are more satisfying to experience after you’ve been introduced to the series. Therefore, I will be making a list of the best Kirby games for you to start your experience, whether you have a Wii/Wii U or 3DS, or both. This is because of the vast virtual library both systems offer. Overall, I think the home console library is slightly better, but you won’t be missing out on the Kirby franchise if you only have the portable unit.
I’m going to try my best and not recommend these games based on my personal preference, but instead their simplicity, controls, music, themes, characters, and other elements that make it the best game to start the series, including how well it meets the standards for what we expect in modern Kirby. Keep in mind that I am counting remakes on my list, but not any games that Kirby is a cameo in (i.e. Super Smash Bros, NES Remix)
To begin, I’m going to list a bunch of Kirby games where I can’t find a reason to recommend them as being your first game. Again, it isn’t bad if this is the only Kirby game you have access to, and these aren’t automatically bad games by any stretch, but these games are either too different from the standard or are otherwise too difficult or near-impossible to obtain:
Kirby Pinball Land - the only pinball game in the series, it won’t give you an idea of how Kirby plays as a platformer.
Kirby Dream Course - unless you want the Grump experience, this game also strays away from the platforming norm, but definitely pick it up if that’s the game you’re specifically looking for, because there isn’t another one like it.
Kirby's Avalanche - a puzzle game, once again straying too far away from the norm. Pick it up if you want to see Kirby throw shade.
Tumblr media
Kirby Star Stacker - puzzle game, see above
Kirby's Block Ball - another puzzle game, same reasons as pinball land.
Kirby’s Tilt ‘n’ Tumble - a great game, but the only way to access it is if you own a working Game Boy Colour and the original cartridge in working condition. If you have it, more power to you, but don’t break a sweat trying to find it.
Kirby’s Toy Box - Japan Exclusive
Kirby’s Super Star Stacker - Japan Exclusive
Kirby’s Air Ride - Now, before any hardcore Kirby fans dislike this decision, remember that this video is made for Kirby beginners. And while Air Ride may be a fantastic and addictive game, it doesn’t follow two of my crucial elements: one, it is not a traditional platformer, and two, it is not easily accessible - unless you own a GameCube, there is no easy (and legal) way to get this game. If this does get released on VC, though, I may add it to the list.
Tumblr media
ALL Kirby Mini Game Expansions (e.g. Kirby Fighters Deluxe, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, etc.) - I would only recommend these games AFTER you’ve played the games they come from.
Now if you are looking for a Kirby puzzle game ONLY, then by all means you can stop right here and pick out a game, but I’m assuming you’re here for the really good stuff. The stuff that makes Kirby shine - the copy abilities. I consider any Kirby game to be a great starting game for those interested in the series if it meets this criteria:
A platforming game that showcases Kirby’s ability to transform, either through traditional copy abilities or other means related to his surroundings, situations, or enemies.
Tumblr media
This is why I’ve included games that are debatably spin-offs - Kirby’s Epic Yarn doesn’t feature Kirby’s signature inhale move, but it is still a platformer that showcases Kirby’s ability to change and adapt based on his new body. The only slight exception to this rule in Kirby’s Dreamland, but I’m giving it a pass since it is the first in the series, long before anything had been established. Instead of listing off the pros and cons to each Kirby game, I’m going to instead give a list of which games you should play based on your needs or desires, for each type of console. After that, I may give explanations as to why I couldn’t recommend a few of the games (but for the most part it’ll just come down to one being better than another). Finally, I’ll state what is the overall best Kirby game to play. Just to make sure we’re on the same page, here is the list of Kirby games that I will be referencing, giving us a grand total of 18 games to choose from:
Kirby's Dream Land (3DS OR WII U)
Kirby's Adventure (3DS OR WII U)
Kirby's Dream Land 2 (WII U)
Kirby Super Star (WII U)
Kirby's Dream Land 3 (WII U)
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (WII U)
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (WII U)
Kirby & the Amazing Mirror (WII U)
Kirby Canvas Curse (3DS)
Kirby Squeak Squad (3DS)
Kirby Super Star Ultra (3DS)
Kirby's Epic Yarn (WII U)
Kirby Mass Attack (3DS)
Kirby's Return to Dream Land (WII U)
Kirby's Dream Collection (WII U)
Kirby Triple Deluxe (3DS)
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (WII U)
Kirby Planet Robobot (WII U)
Number One - “I need a cheap Kirby game!”
Wii U: Kirby’s Nightmare in Dreamland VC
3DS: Kirby’s Dreamland VC
These two games are an excellent start into the series for a very low cost. Kirby’s Dreamland is 3.99US, and Kirby’s NiD is $6.99. While I wouldn’t consider these the best of the series, they are a good, cheap way to begin your adventure through Kirby’s history. Just keep in mind that if the controls are your only concern, in my opinion, they become MUCH better in the later games.
Number Two - “I want to learn about the history behind Kirby. Give me the full immersive experience!”
Wii U: Kirby’s Dream Collection
3DS: Kirby Super Star Ultra
No questions asked, The Dream Collection is the best way to get Kirby’s history. Featuring Kirby’s first six “main titles”, a history timeline, extra challenge minigames, and episodes from the anime, this is the game with the most immersive Kirby experience out there.
Tumblr media
But, if you don’t have a Wii, then Super Star Ultra is a good way to go. It features a remake of the first Kirby game in the form of “Spring Breeze”, has more than 8 games to choose from, shows off a huge array of Kirby characters over the years, and is just plain fun.
Number Three - “I’ve played a few games in the series, now I’m looking for something a little different.”
Wii U: Kirby and the Amazing Mirror VC
3DS: Kirby Canvas Curse AND/OR Kirby Mass Attack
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror is a much more open map system, but still has Kirby keep his traditional abilities (i.e. the layout is different, but the controls and principles are the same). While it’s not world-changing, it is something different if you’re getting tired of the standard formula.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse and Kirby Canvas Curse fall in the same boat. Both focus on line-travelling platforming, maintain (to some extent) Kirby’s ability to transform, and are a lot of fun. In terms of aesthetics, I prefer Rainbow Curse, but in terms of gameplay/control, Canvas Curse wins for me. Both, however, are a lot of fun and a bit different from the norm.
Kirby Mass Attack, I’ll be perfectly honest, is one of the few Kirby games I couldn’t really get into. The controls were just a bit too different from me. However, on its own merits, it is a fine Kirby game that tries out a new formula of gameplay, and succeeds. Some like it, others don’t, but there is nothing broken/technically wrong with the game and is a worthy candidate for this category.
Tumblr media
(Side note: The puzzle games would also be good candidates for this section.)
Number Four - “I have literally never played a video game in my entire life dear God help me”
Wii U: Kirby’s Epic Yarn
3DS: Kirby’s Squeak Squad
Both of the games I have listed are fairly easy, have simple story lines, and fun but doable platforming. Kirby’s Squeak Squad is just plain easy, whereas in Kirby’s Epic Yarn, it  presents more of a challenge in terms of platforming, but you can’t die. Both are also fairly easy to get 100% in, and don’t have too many extra modes to overwhelm you.
Number Five - “I want to play Kirby Planet Robobot!”
Wii U: Kirby’s Return to Dream Land
3DS: Kirby Super Star Ultra AND/OR Kirby’s Triple Deluxe
Odd suggestion - maybe don’t?
Tumblr media
 Now if all you want to do is play with Kirby in a mech, then, well, only Planet Robobot is going to do that for you. However, if you are interested in Kirby as a whole and are just super interested in Planet Robobot, I would recommend playing either Kirby’s Return to Dreamland for Wii OR Kirby Super Star Ultra and Kirby Triple Deluxe for 3DS. Trust me, it will make you appreciate the grandeur that is Planet Robobot. When the series was essentially rebooted in Kirby’s Return to Dreamland, there was a lot of experimentation with Kirby’s abilities and what he was capable of. Errors that were made in Triple Deluxe are solved perfectly in Planet Robobot (one being the collectable system), and Kirby Super Star Ultra contains some elements that are found in Planet Robobot. Again, if you want to start with Planet Robobot, by all means do so, it’s a fantastic game! But if you want to love it even more, consider playing the other titles I’ve suggested.
Number Six - “What’s the overall best Kirby game?”
This is debatable - most Kirby games are considered at least “Good” by most fans, but choosing the best is a completely different ball game. Personally though, (barring the Dream Collection due to its unfair advantage) I’d say Kirby Planet Robobot for 3DS and Kirby’s Return to Dreamland for Wii are the best the series has to offer - Return to Dreamland because of Kirby’s long awaited return to his roots after over 10 years without a traditional platformer on a home console, and Planet Robobot because it finally perfected the system that Return to Dreamland sought to create.
Tumblr media
So, there you have it. Depending on your needs, these are the best Kirby games to start your adventure into the series. Have fun exploring the series - there’s a lot to enjoy! :) Now get out there and have fun!

E3 opinions ( Nintendo)
Not the last show of E3 but possibly the last big one of the event, Nintendo strut into E3 with their usual pre recorded segment although I have seen people either dead excited for what a future Switch line up or seem to have no faith in Nintendo at all with only a half hour slot, so let’s review and see how it fares.
Opening the show is what appears to new a new advertising campaign maybe for the Switch but indie sensation Rocket League appears to take the opening slot and even showing off Fifa, neither games necessarily interest me but it seems to show a change in Nintendo, where they would usually promote one of their own works first usually it is nice to see them throw a bone to third parties. While Nintendo may not be able to boast having the kinds of support Sony and Microsoft receive at least Nintendo looks like they are trying to garner support now.
Xenoblade 2 gets a re-introduction with a new trailer in English which showcased some story elements including game-play which shows that it will play similar to the last two entries in the series and also include some incredible looking worlds to explore once again, although it looks like someone turned up the anime inspiration to the max, mind you. The biggest surprise for me being that Nintendo are still aiming to release this Fall, despite earlier rumors stating that it had slipped into early 2018 so that is cool.
Kirby comes crashing back with his Switch debut looking like follow up on his 2D adventures in the style of the ever classic Kirby’s Dreamland. While I don’t expect this to be a blockbuster seller, Kirby plat-formers are usually a solid experience and with Switch’s multiplayer possibilities which could allow you to play co-op on a single Switch or maybe even over multiple Switch’s via wireless
Yoshi also makes a Switch debut in a new game which appears to be continuing with the Wooly World theme with worlds that appear to be made of cardboard and moving away from the 2D plat-former mold by allowing Yoshi to move in the back and foreground. One of the biggest surprises about this game is that it will be built on the Unreal engine as confirmed by Epic Games spokesperson, Dana Cowley.
Fire Emblem Warriors while looking nice i felt a little disappointed in as the trailer appeared to mostly show cut-scenes over game-play as I would have liked to have seen how the game preformed in action , with the Switch specs in mind and being able to handle hundreds of enemies and big maps and also wondering how the N3DS port will handle, I expect similar results as seen in Hyrule Warriors on Wii U and N3DS respectively but with the game aiming to release this year I get the feeling we may see a dedicated Direct for this later in the year.
Breath Of The Wild’s DLC was revealed showing some visual for the previously talked about and upcoming content, the first of which is dubbed The Master Trials will add a hard mode and new quest which will enable players to power up the Master Sword to deal out double damage, this DLC will also include some new costumes based on previous entries into the The Legend Of Zelda series such as Tingle’s costume and the infamous Majora’s Mask. This first expansion reminds me a little bit of Dark Souls in some respects but I guess we will get to find out in a matter of weeks The second DLC being dubbed The Champions’ Ballad focuses on the Champions in BOTW which makes me wonder if they have unfinished business after the game concluded or if this is set 1000 years before Calamity Ganon’s appearance or something?
The big close out of the show was given to Super Mario Odyssey, opening with perhaps the oddest trailer involving a dinosaur but in this short trailer we get to see many of the game-play elements which displayed massive worlds to explore, going into walls playing as an 8 bit Mario in a similar style to The Legend of Zelda : A Link Between Worlds and what appears to be Mario’s gimmick in this game, being able to take control of enemies and NPC like citizens found in New Donk City or a tyrannosaurus-rex by throwing Mario’s hat at them. This game sent me over the top and into hype mode, this game looks fantastic, looks to be amazing fun, looks like it runs at a solid 60fps and oozes a confidence that it isn’t afraid to embrace with its big band styled title song delivered with some beautiful vocals. Super Mario Odyssey looks like it will be the successor that Super Mario Galaxy 2 deserved, having everything you could hope for packed into a Mario game alongside a October release, coming sooner than I expected, this may well be my game of E3.
The other big talking points and announcements I feel I have to address for most part seem to come about after the presentation into the Tree-house broadcasts so let’s address them, Nintendo listened to the uproar over Metroid in recent years and not only talked about giving us one new Metroid game, but 2 of them. Nintendo confirmed that Metroid Prime 4 is in development but having nothing to show for it, not even any concept art or a teaser trailer. While this is a little disappointing I am sure the announcement of the game will bring many tears of joy to fans of Retro Studios trilogy it appears that Retro Studios themselves will not be returning to the series, that ponders the question of who is making it? and what the hell has Retro been working on then for the past 3 years? The other reveal being Metroid : Samus Returns for 3DS, a modern remake of the Game Boy sequel to Metroid being made by Mercury Studios, famous for Castlevania : Lord of Shadow. This reveal looked cool in concept although I felt like it was missing polish despite its launching within months, hopefully the next time we see this game it will be looking better.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle which had its official unveiling at Ubisoft’s event on Monday already looks like one of the strangest concepts with these 2 big franchises coming together for a game which plays like X-Com. The game looks like it could be some massive fun although I may hold out until I see some reviews to help decide if and when i will buy into this.
Mario and Luigi - Super Star Saga DX was another remade gem for the 3DS which looks to be running on the modern M&L engine as seen in Dream Team and Paper Jam, this remake will include a new mode based around a trio of Bowsers Minions which I guess will add a humorous alternative view of the story that many maybe familiar with. Being a big fan of the original Game Boy Advance version I look forward to trying this remake out soon.
I guess I should address Skyrim coming to Switch as well despite it only having a small segment in the presentation but it is cool to see Nintendo willing to allow Bethesda to include BOTW costumes, shields and armors. Despite Skyrim feeling like it is getting ported to anything and everything, including a VR version, the idea of being able to play a grand expansive adventure like Skyrim in a portable form without hopefully getting an entry as bad in performance as the infamous PS3 port, the motion controls looks like they could add some fun interesting ways to play this game but I imagine many will probably default to the regular controls.
I was overall impressed with Nintendo’s presentation despite the short presentation, although they did not waste much time promoting games releasing within the next few months like Arms or Splatoon 2 but they are being given special competition events at E3 to act as promotion there, it is nice to see we wasn’t bogged down with more info about it at the presentation. While I am confident Yoshi and Kirby will be good games they hardly seemed like big announcements I was expecting for the Switch at its first E3 but with Metroid Pime 4 and a new RPG Pokemon being confirmed in development I would only wish Nintendo had more to show really, many have been hoping for ports of Mario Maker, Super Smash Bros 4 or Bayonetta 2 to Switch or even talk of the Virtual Console service coming to Switch but it feels like we are getting small servings for this year. While Nintendo has it’s Directs to spread awareness of upcoming titles which they can use any time of the year I can see why Nintendo maybe holding back some announcements for a later date, similar to how I feel Sony may have been holding back on announcing new stuff for its PSX expo later this year but overall I was happy with what I saw Nintendo seem to employ an unusual method of unveiling games as a few were presented through the Tree-house segments instead of the presentation which strikes me as weird as some of these would have been more than welcome during this brief conference.
This years E3 I felt was only mediocre for most part this year, while we got some interesting updates to games announced in previous years I felt like there was a lack of anything really new or fresh at least for most part throughout the whole show. I feel Microsoft while having an impressive new console had a serious lack of impressive software to make it stand out like BOTW did for Switch or Uncharted 4 did for the PS4, Forza 7 could well be that game for all I know, but I get the feeling it won’t be. Sony and Nintendo had good presentations but neither really felt like they ignited a fuse, while not every E3 can be an amazing one, this one certainly wasn’t a bad one, until next year I guess, have fun.

Kirby on the Switch - A Speculative Analysis
(Just a quick side note: these predictions were made prior to the Nintendo Direct held on April 12th, 2017, when Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, Kirby’s Blowout Blast, and the New Multiplayer 3DS Game were announced. The predictions have been left unaltered, minus this note.)
 So, with the announcement of the Nintendo Switch, there’s only one burning question on my mind - when are we getting the next Kirby game?
 Honestly, I don’t expect any announcements anytime soon, given that Planet Robobot just released last summer, and we usually have a 2-year gap between most Kirby games. But, given that Kirby’s 25th anniversary is coming up, I would be surprised if nothing was mentioned or even hinted at in the next E3 or two. At the end of the day, I’m almost certain we’ll see at least one Kirby title on the Switch; the real question is this: what kind of game will we be receiving?
 Right now, I have three possibilities for the next Kirby game, based on the patterns that we’ve seen over the past 10 or so years (and a bit of fan speculation/obsessing). I will least them from most likely to least likely, and cover each option with detail, but before we get into all that, let me go over some of my predictions:
 I think we are due for a spin-off title. There is a clear pattern for Kirby games dating back to AT LEAST Crystal Shards that goes something like this:
Main Series (Crystal Shards)
Spin Off (Air Ride)
Main Series (Amazing Mirror)
Spin off (Canvas Curse)
Main Series: (Squeak Squad)
Spinoff (Epic Yarn)
Main Series (Return to Dreamland)
Spin off (Mass Attack)
Main Series (Triple Deluxe)
Spin Off (Rainbow Curse)
Main Series (Planet Robobot)
Spin Off: ?????
Assuming that Nintendo continues to follow this pattern for the Kirby series, this means we should be due for another spin off title.
2. Going along this same vein, I think that the series is going to deviate from the system set up by Return to Dreamland. Meaning, if we don’t get a spin-off, and we get a more traditional game, I don’t think it’s going to use the copy ability system we’ve seen from RtD - PR. I’ll go more into this later and why I think that.
3. Whatever Kirby game we end up, it is going to try to use the new “gimmick” of the console, at least for its first title.  This is more likely if we are getting a spin-off title, but both main series and spin off have been shown to use off the new mechanics (e.g. the 3D in Triple Deluxe, the touch screen for Rainbow Curse, etc.).
4. And finally, whatever game we get, I think it will feature some sort of blast from the past. This has been a theme for many of the Switch’s games announced so far, and I expect Kirby to follow a similar trend.
 OK, now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into this! These are, what I believe, to be the three most likely Kirby games for the Switch.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 3. Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble for the Nintendo Switch
This may seem like an odd choice, but hear me out.  We’ve had all of the Kirby gameboy games re-released onto the console, except Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble on the Game Boy Colour. Why? Because that game was hard to reproduce. Putting it on a DS, which had two screens, would have been too fragile to handle all the flicks and tricks. And while they maybe could have done it on the Wii, perhaps the Wii mote wasn’t up to par and couldn’t attain that precision.
 Finally, it seems we have an adequate means of getting our tilt and tumble game. The Joy Cons seem to be able to achieve a high level of accuracy (at least given by what we’ve seen so far) than the Wii mote, and it gives the option of having two players, since there are two controllers. It would make for a pretty fun party game, or a great solo adventure.
 Also, given that we almost got a sequel for the Nintendo GameCube years ago, titled “Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble 2”, Nintendo clearly thought the idea had potential, so maybe now’s the time to revive it.
 How Will It Use the Switch’s Mechanics? By having the player control and tilt Kirby with the use of the Joycons, probably with one controller rather than two. †here could be a co-op or competition form of gameplay.
 (Now I’ll be honest, I’m not too pumped for this option to come to fruition, but I’d be quite happy and willing to be able to play this game, given how elusive the original Game Boy game is.)
 2. Kirby 64 Sequel (Kirby 128?)
In the Switch’s lineup, we were introduced to Super Mario Odyssey. When it was shown at the Switch Event this past January, we were told that it would be a return to the open concept found in older titles, like Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64 and Super Mario Sunshine for the GameCube.
 While Kirby never made the full jump to 3D, given the minigame we saw in Planet Robobot, it seems that HAL hasn’t given up on the concept. Personally, I don’t think it’s necessary for Kirby games to transition into 3D (in fact, it may do more harm than good), but since Kirby is known to have spinoffs and main series, I wouldn’t mind if 3D gameplay was reserved for, say, only the main series, while the spin-offs kept their 2D style.
 Now, why don’t I think a 3D game will necessarily work? Because of the traditional copy ability system. Transitioning so many abilities into a 3D environment would be an absolute pain in the butt, given that each ability would have to be repurposed for a 3D environment. Some would transition with little trouble (e.g. Wing, Tornado, etc.), but those that are based on standard, stationary one-direction attacks (e.g. Sword, Fire) would need some work.
 So, I think if they were to try and make a more traditional game in 3D, I think they would have to go back to the 64 copy ability system - only six abilities to choose from, but you can mix and match them however you please to get a completely different effect.
 How Will It Use the Switch’s Mechanics? To be honest, I’m not entirely sure with this one. The only things I can think of is, if it goes by the dual copy ability system, shaking one controller to activate one power and both to activate both (e.g. . I know, it’s clunky, but I’m not a game designer. If you have a better way this could work, please feel free to leave a note)
 1. Kirby’s Air Ride for the Nintendo Switch
 Now, this may seem like fanboying, declaring that Air Ride will most definitely come out as the next game (many fans have been saying that since the first one came out). But, just to get any biases out of the way, I have actually never played Kirby Air Ride, and prior to making this list, I knew next to nothing about the game, other than that City Trial was an absolute dream.
 I think that if there ever was a console for a Kirby Air Ride 2 to come out, this would be it. Nintendo has been surprising us with a return to old forms, while still keeping things fresh and new. Kirby’s Air Ride 2 would fit well with this theme - it's taking a look at an older game, but they could make it fresh and new.
 Finally, I think the most compelling argument for this option, is how timely its release could be. What if the announcement for the game came out on the 15th anniversary of Kirby Air Ride?
 My only doubt for this game not coming to light would be a) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe being the main Nintendo racing game on the Switch. I would also be OK with this game not releasing if the original Air Ride was released for the Switch’s virtual console.
 But still, they could call the game K.A.R.S. - Kirby Air Ride Switch.
 How Will It Use the Switch’s Mechanics? Motion control to steer the aircraft. The HD rumble could have a lot of uses here.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 And that’s it! Those are my speculations on the three most likely games we’ll get if Kirby makes the move to the Switch. I’d be happy with any of these options, but would also be excited if it was something completely different. Nintendo has given us a lot of welcome surprises in its newest console, and I can’t wait to see what the future is for Kirby and the Switch.
