looking at the nail polish colors I’m currently waffling between, goddamn do we love a jeweltone
#ALTHOUGH I ALSO LOOKED THROUGH MY COLLECTION AND I HAVE A BUNCH OF COOL AUTUMNY VIBES ONES I FORGOT ABOUT TOO... ARGH#my nails are CURRENTLY the colorshift beetle green because I bought it as a special treat for my nails actually being kinda healthy for once#to be clear it's the obvious first choice. I mean look at it. it's gorgeous and my nails look like beetles#the QUESTION is: it's been a week and they're just starting to wear out at the tips should I switch to a new color#I love my relationship with nailpolish it's so funny I'll go without for months and months and then become briefly obsessed#I have so much nail polish I never wear :') and when I do it's often one of like three particular favorites (now four because Beetles One)#also YES I wanted the purple because of idri and the turquoise because of elyss. and what about it.#I also realized just now that the periwinkle is elyss' eye color and the turquoise is mel's kjfdghkjgfdh WE LOVE A JEWELTONE IDK!!#god I also wanna do an ombre with the turquoise and a very pale sea green I also saw at the store it'd be so pretty#this is what I mean about Becoming Obsessed like I start hoarding colors like a dragon and looking up Nail Art Tutorials#and then end up going through maybe three colors and MAYBE attempting ONE nail art (MAYBE) before it dies down again lmao#this is great news because nail polish is Expensive-- either splurging on a couple good ones or buying cheap ones in Every Shiny Color#so if I'm only gripped with this madness once or twice every couple years that's not so bad#about me
