Hi! The new part of Be mine was worth all the wait! I felt so many emotions in one chapter that I don’t have words to describe it. Kiyoko really thought she could be subtle with all the marriage talk like gurl sit your ass down! She had the AUDACITY to call y/n a consolation price and parade her around but my man was having none of that! He really stepped up and basically told her that he would rather have the consolation price than her! I cheered so hard at that part!

Also I didn’t hate Niko in the part that much cause he was genuinely trying to make y/n feel better and his joke on Gojo cracked me up! But Gojo really just told him what his real intentions were and now I am so excited to see what Niko does.

Somehow I had never thought of this before: we know that when bc is on tour J + J usually share a hotel room (because no one else has the nerve to deal with them), then there's Olli + Ale (because they can't separate the bfs), and that makes me guess that the last pair is Niko and Tommi. And for some reason I find the mental image of that so cute - Tommi lying on the bed and scrolling through his phone, telling one of his Tommi-jokes without even looking up, and Niko giggling next to him and staring at him with heart eyes. (Seriously, if you've never paid attention to how Niko looks at him during interviews, you should - it's adorable😂😍)

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in? She's already a book and already technically a musical but I SO badly want just the whole Epic Cycle like an anime or simply animated, possibly like Castlevania or Blood of Zeus or something. Not as a children's cartoon. Those are fun but...I want real shit! >:D With the fight scenes! That's more with the Iliad but still!!!!

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them? Quite a few, and some I've mentioned before but yeah! The Chain by Ingrid Michaelson as it talks about waiting for your love to come back, (it's a song that can mean anything but it works). And I like imagining it's her unweaving the shroud and getting more frustrated that she has to do this in the first place and with the big round of the chorus at the end, I like imagining it's her, stopping for a bit as tears well up. The Round quiets down, and she wipes her face before continuing to unravel the shroud.

It's a cover song of Davy Jones lullaby thing, and it talks about waiting 10 years for your lover to return and talking about how "You're kind of insane...That's hot." basically 😂 (It does get loud though!)

For MY OWN STUFF??? This is more in her youth but "Just Around the Riverbend" from Pocahontas (Yeah, I know it's a messed up and inaccurate movie but the songs, especially this one, are great), as the vibes and "I'm going to go fuck around in the rapids." is definitely what I'm going for with her. She's sneakier about stuff though.

And "When He Sees Me" from Waitress, when she first meets Odysseus. As she does not trust him and doesn't think he "really means it" and she's kind of making excuses until she can't and it's a confrontation between.

There are not many songs about sneaky women other than ones about having an affair which is so NOT Penelope :'D There's most that are about sneaky couples but never about one person that's still saying "that makes you cool af" you know??

14.) Fashion aesthetic!!! The nice thing about being a naiad is that if her clothes get dirty, a quick flick of her wrist means she can clean herself up really quick. And because of this, she does like looking nice and prefers clothing and jewelry that she can move freely in and won't "drag her down" while swimming. With Jewelry, that's probably smaller but intricate earrings, broaches, necklaces, rings, headpieces, etc. (she has a habit of breaking bracelets, idk why she just does.) And ofc, will often have items to honor Athena :D

I'd like to think it'd be partially why she is so into weaving (as from what I've researched Noble Spartan women didn't do that, the slaves did. Granted that was in later periods but I'm going with what we've got and even though I'm going with the idea of everybody just doing what they're good at, no gender roles are really considered.) While sewing wasn't something done in Ancient Greece, I do love the thought of Penelope basically folding the fabric in ways that cause a lil pocket for her to sneak shit. >:D Lapis Lazuli is her favorite stone to wear.

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Okay, so! Since I first into the Epic Cycle stuff with Epic, I had basically gone with what everyone else kind of thought of her as. Quiet, sad, sneaky...sad, 🙃 as... most depictions of her are basically her being a wife and mother, her crying while unweaving the shroud, Odysseus thinking of her which yes!!! All true!!! But then I read the Odyssey and holy shit, she's so fucking cool and I wish more people talked in depth about her own silliness and personality outside of those things!!!

The "Sneeze of Death", her staring down that one suitor who was all like "What??!?! Kill your son?!!? NOOOOOO" and just refusing to take his bullshit, How she grabs Odysseus by the scruff because "Uh, I love you and we'll get to smooching but what did you say about a prophecy???", not only because she WILL get the answers she needs from you no matter what but also because she KNOWS her husband will tell her. How she absolutely KNEW the beggar was her husband, (Ima write an analysis on that soon...along with Odysseus' "rules"....and how "You can have Penelope be a fighter in your fics... but don't you DARE make her fight the suitors without Odysseus there." essay thing...I have a lot :'D ) There's so many other little moments that shine through as remember, girly is STRESSED TF OUT!!! She's just been found out with her unraveling, she's trying to keep her son, herself, and her palace/authority safe. She is going through so much!!! She's so incredibly cautious!!! She's so silly!!! ioh;isdjk I really love exploring her and her character so much!!!

signing session feels after: 😭😭😭😭

My sister and I stood outside for 1,5h in the -10⁰C (feels like -15⁰C) weather and my toes were so freezing I could of cried

Niko was first and we said 'hey' and then we both asked at the same time "how are you" and after a small loading moment both said fine and laughed 😂 (the way niko's eyes crinkle when he laughs makes me go 💘💗 💖💓) He also asked how I liked the new song and he said that it's probably their favorite of the new album.

Then was Aleksi and after saying hi I asked how he's doing and he said 'alright' and something about just how there's everything going on with the new song and stuff and he was SO NICE like a proper gentleman made me smile so much ❤️ (imo aleksi was the most natural socializing and chatting, probably since he has done that a lot alone when it was just alex mattson)

Next was Olli and asdfghjkl I made such a fool of myself ohmylord (this is the kinda stuff you think about late at night when you can't sleep and cry why did i have to be so dumb) We said hey and I was probably there like 👁👄👁 staring at him cause dude, if he is good looking online and on stage, you can't prepare yourself for seeing him up close I'm telling you. Then he asked me something and I didn't hear him so I was there like what?? he repeated asking how I'm doing and I was just trying to say anything at all but stumbled on my words and aaaa 🫣 he was just so handsome I forgot how to act okay??? Don't blame me

Joonas 😭❤️ I knitted him mittens so I gave those to him and he clearly appreciated it, he did say that he has worn the knitted wool socks I made for him and that my sister gave to him in Stuttgart m&g but idk could be that he just said it. Didn't have much time to say anything else (but damn do i love that dude)

Tommi and Joel were last and my autograph card was already gone to the end so I didn't really have a chance to say anything to them (i was kinda a bit intimidated of them both so I didn't really come up with anything to say I admit) but tbh I was left feeling very weird about joel.. Idk could be that he was just anxious/tired/whatever but he was acting kinda cold and distant and I'm just like ?🥺

a high school Olli/Allu AU in which they're both fuckboys... 😏 (just the idea, not actually gonna write this, but you may look 💅)

as a former high school teacher I can barely bring myself to read high school AUs let alone write them but !!!!!!! y'all, this one that I just came up with would be the cuteeeeeeeessst high school AU 🥺

so we'd have Aleksi as the bratty snobby rich boy hanging out with his fuckboy buddies (let's say Arttu Lindeman and Isac Elliot 🤭 Robin would be his actual best friend since kindergarten though, but he goes to a different school)

and Olli would obviously be in his own emo fuckboy friend group 🥰 (except Porko is maybe less emo and more...twinky 😅 and Niko with his bisexual bob... 🤔 jesus, how come they ALL looked so fruity when they were teenagers?! 😂 even Joel looked kinda awkward and trying too hard to appear heterosexual (and failing))

anyway! at school they'd pretend to hate each other's guts, or just ignore each other the very least, but they go to the same chemisty class or something, which none of their friends took because it was the super early Monday morning one, but Olli had no choice because he needed that course and all the other courses clashed with his bass lessons, and Aleksi couldn't fit the other options in his schedule either because of his...twinky fuckboy lessons? 😂 idk I'll come up with a funky hobby for him later lol

yeah, anyhow, perhaps they're even lab partners and low-key crushing on each other, although they'd never ever admit it to anyone, because to Aleksi's friends, Olli is a stuck-up loser emo kid, and to Olli's friends, Aleksi is a posh douchebag showing off daddy's money, and they both have no choice but to laugh along with their friends (because that's what teenagers do to fit in), but during their shared early morning chemistry classes Aleksi has noticed Olli is actually super sweet and funny and that his "bitchy" appearance is due to him just being sort of socially awkward with people he doesn't know yet, and Olli soon figures Aleksi is more friendly and down-to-earth than he leads on 👀

I am yet to decide how their relationship would develop from then on, but I suppose they find a way to spend more time together even after their chemistry course ends 🤔 maybe they take the same optional music class (jazz or something none of their friends would be interested in) and that's when they finally realise they have more in common than they thought, and so their secret friendship deepens 😌 and now this is the part where I'm asking you to imagine them having exchanged phone numbers (because they're sure they couldn't follow each other on social media without their friends noticing, and if they did they'd never hear the end of it, and right now neither are ready to deal with stuff like that), and yeah, imagine them hugging and giggling into their pillow in their bedrooms respectively while texting each other in the evenings 🥺💞 first they just chat about school and the music project but eventually about other stuff too and they feel all 💞💓💕 because they feel like they've finally found someone who truly understands them 😭

and maybe one day after the music class they stay behind to voluntarily clean up the classroom or perhaps to practice together, and Olli is blushing and 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞 when Aleksi asks him to help him out with some bass/guitar stuff, and of course they need to be standing quite close together for that (okay maybe they don't need to but they absolutely want to), and then they look up at each other and realise just how close they are to each other and... 💕💓💞💗💖🥰

and that's how they figure out not only that they're both fuckboys, but that they both also...fuck boys 😌

(but no, they didn't do it in the music classroom (...at least not for the first time 👀))

I haven't really hid this but I was in a horrible place mentally when I first discovered BC, I ended up playing their music on a loop in the same way I used to Linkin Park when I was a teen, their music just spoke to me in a way I desperately needed at the time.

I ended up seeing a couple of their American tour vlogs and thought they were hilarious, I heard Niko mention fanfiction and decided to check out AO3.

I was hooked from my first fic. Thanks @chaoslaura for writing Paint me the sun, the moon, and the stars because I binged 11 chapters in one sitting and knew I had found a new fandom. And if you haven't read that fic, do it. Idk how many times I've reread it and I cry and laugh every time.

I had written before but had never posted and I worked up the courage by seeing how nice everyone was in the comments of other fics. I still expected some criticism but every comment was nice and encouraging. Especially from my bestie @wow-ihateithere

I stayed off of Tumblr for a couple months because I didn't want another social media site, but I ended up making an account to ask @outcastedang3l if it was ok for me to list their awesome fic Where My Heart Is as the inspiration for one I wrote and I've been here ever since 😂 you've all been so nice.

Also, same as above I reread that fic so much and everyone should do the same.

Even if the fandom shifts and expands to overlap with other fandoms or include more bands like Lost Society, Shriaz Lane, Electric Callboy, Bad Omens, MiW, etc, I'm glad for all my friends in my phone 🖤

This is Nico, tiny vocalist and newest member of EC. Often had epic facial hair. A charmer.

The tall brunette is Kevin, the other vocalist. Talks in gibberish, seems imposing but a total doofus. Often seen kissing Nico.

This absolute cutie pie who likes to hang out with his tongue out is Pascal. Guitarist, but also one half of the Scholki brothers who produce the EC MVs (and other things).

Mr International himself, David, is on the drums. He once won the Bachelorette Germany, and he's sweet as pie. Struggles with his English but he tries so so hard and actually everytime I fall a bit more in love with him.
