Sometimes, I think about Cameron and wonder about his true feelings of Keating. Did he ever look up to the man? Did he take all of his lessons to heart, holding them close to his chest instead of his head? Did he see him as a safe authority figure? Was his first thought after Neil's death to curse Keating? Was it easier to blame Keating for the death of his friend rather than the institution he grew up in? Did he ever look back and regret not standing on his desk?

for a while i lived in an old house; the kind u.s americans don't often get to live in - living in a really old house here is super expensive. i found out right before i moved out that the house was actually so old that it features in a poem by emily dickinson.
i liked that there were footprints in front of the sink, worn into the hardwood. there were handprints on some of the handrails. we'd find secret marks from other tenants, little hints someone else had lived and died there. and yeah, there was a lot wrong with the house. there are a lot of DIY skills you learn when you are a grad student that cannot afford to pay someone else to do-it-for-ya. i shared the house with 8 others. the house always had this noise to it. sometimes that noise was really fucking awful.
in the mornings though, the sun would slant in thick amber skiens through the windows, and i'd be the first one up. i'd shuffle around, get showered in this tub that was trying to exit through the floor, get my clothes on. i would usually creep around in the kitchen until it was time to start waking everyone else up - some of them required multiple rounds of polite hey man we gotta go knocks. and it felt... outside of time. a loud kind of quiet.
the ghosts of the house always felt like they were humming in a melody just out of reach. i know people say that the witching hour happens in the dark, but i always felt like it occurred somewhere around 6:45 in the morning. like - for literal centuries, somebody stood here and did the dishes. for literal centuries, somebody else has been looking out the window to this tree in our garden. for literal centuries, people have been stubbing their toes and cracking their backs and complaining about the weather. something about that was so... strangely lovely.
i have to be honest. i'm not a history aficionado. i know, i know; it's tragic of me. i usually respond to "this thing is super old" by being like, wow! cool! and moving on. but this house was the first time i felt like the past was standing there. like it was breathing. like someone else was drying their hands with me. playing chess on the sofa. adding honey to their tea.
i grew up in an old town. like, literally, a few miles off of walden pond (as in of the walden). (also, relatedly, don't swim in walden, it's so unbelievably dirty). but my family didn't have "old house" kind of money. we had a barely-standing house from the 70's. history existed kind of... parallel to me. you had to go somewhere to be in history. your school would pack you up on a bus and take you to some "ye olden times" place and you'd see how they used to make glass or whatever, and then you'd go home to your LEDs. most museums were small and closed before 5. you knew history was, like, somewhere, but the only thing that was open was the mcdonalds and the mall.
i remember one of my seventh grade history teachers telling us - some day you'll see how long we've been human for and that thing has been puzzling me. i know the scientific number, technically.
the house had these little scars of use. my floors didn't actually touch the walls; i had to fill them with a stopgap to stop the wind. other people had shoved rags and pieces of newspaper. i know i've lost rings and earring backs down some of the floorboards. i think the raccoons that lived in our basement probably have collected a small fortune over the years. i complain out loud to myself about how awful the stairs are (uneven, steep, evil, turning, hard to get down while holding anything) and know - someone else has said this exact same thing.
when i was packing up to leave and doing a final deep cleaning, i found a note carved in the furthest corner in the narrow cave of my closet. a child's scrawled name, a faded paint handprint, the scrangly numbers: 1857.
we've been human for a long time. way back before we can remember.

it’s kind of crazy that both fallout new Vegas and fallout 4 have the same driving force for the first half of the narrative (find the guy who wronged you and make him pay) but Benny is so much more memorable and narratively interesting than Kellogg.
It’s a matter of a strong character foil versus a weak one, in my opinion.
Benny and the courier are very much alike. They are both ambitious people who are willing to do anything possible to stack the odds in their favour. Honestly, Benny and the courier are the same card, reversed.
The Sole Survivor and Kellogg are also intended to be character foils. The game tries to convince us of this with the scenes in Kellogg’s mind, where we see that he ‘isn’t so different’ from our protagonist after all. But we don’t know anything about Kellogg other than his backstory. How can he parallel the protagonist if we don’t know which traits he has? Which traits the two of them share?
(As a side note, I wish Fallout 4 had touched way more on the ‘Man/Woman Out of Time’ thing. The protagonist being frozen in the past + Kellogg being functionally immortal would’ve been really cool to explore! Especially in the context of grief!)
In the end, I think the reason Benny is a more powerful character foil is that he doesn’t disappear from the world when you kill him. The chairmen can mourn him, House will comment on it, and even NPCs across the Mojave will talk about Benny’s death!
In Kellogg’s case, the protagonist is basically the only person who knows he even existed! Once he’s dead HE’s DEAD! He disappears completely from the narrative! As soon as you leave fort Hagen, the game doesn’t bother looking back.
that’s why Benny is a more haunting force for new Vegas; particularly an independent courier. You are Benny’s legacy because you are what he leaves behind whether he likes it or not. People remember him as the couriers victim. Meanwhile, nobody remembers Kellogg at all. The memory of who Kellogg was dies with you, and you can choose to forget him.

i fully believe that after the war, peeta loved katniss even more then he did before.
like, this man was trained to KILL katniss, yet he still fell back in love.
his original love towards katniss was first, and unconditional love. he saw her as beautiful no matter what and failed to see a lot of her flaws. however, when he gets hijacked, her flaws are ALL he notices about her. the line "you're not very big, are you? or particularly pretty?" makes it clear that the old peeta is gone (or is he??🤨) and he is noticing for the first time that katniss is completely average looking. but while the book progresses, so does peetas feelings for katniss (obviously.) this is most apparent when he blocks her from killing herself. why did he do that?? he didnt have to. he owed her nothing.
but he couldn't. and whether he knew it or not, he couldn't live without her. he was still trying to protect her.
the very end of the book is when we see the most love come from peeta (and again, obviously.) whether it is the fact that he came back to 12, or that he planted primroses for prim, he loves her. platonically and romantically. and i think that after all they have been through, it is just beautiful. and eventually seeing that he feels comfortable enough to sleep with her again, after he was hijacked to try to kill her every chance he got, it shows that he trusts himself a lot more.
finally the ending "you love me? real or not real?" "real." confirms that not only did he love katniss, but she loved him too.
anyways thanks for coming to my tedtalk!

Do yall think Bruce forgets to publically show that he cares for his kids? Okay that sounded wrong but like imagine a hostage situation happening downtown where like one of his kids are held at and the press is like zooming in on Mr.Waynes face expecting to see a panicked dad look or like top tier drama of him screaming “SAVE MY KID” or smth but instead it’s just Bruce staring at the scene visibly calm.
Internally Bruce is figuring out what’s the best course of action to solve this case without exposing his identity so he’s deep into thought and then in the distance a journalist is like “MR.WAYNE! Aren’t you concerned” and then it clicks but now it’ll be too suspicious and he can’t be like “I trust the Gotham police” cause who does??? And has to be like fuck lemme call my PR department and see if they can fix this after all of this
On the news later, top story is “Bruce Wayne doesn’t care for his kids” and Bruce is like … how do I fix this?
He makes sure that his kids know they are loved but more importantly how is he going to show the press that he cares (not that he cares what they think but its a sore spot and he can handle them dragging his name through the mud for sleeping with multiple people but not being called out on being a bad dad, you know?)
Just- Bruce publicly forgetting to panic when one of his kids are in danger and facing the repercussions to it

I don't think a lot of people realize that lot of their advice to disabled people often boils down to "Get over it." they are trying to be helpful but their idea of helpful is "Just do the thing" because that's what they do. for them they just do things. It comes naturally to just do it.
They don't know how to bridge the gap between you and the task. For them the bridge is already pre-built and stable. For disabled people the bridge is run down, not well kept, it feels unsteady and is hard to get across without being slow and cautious - hell for some people there is no bridge and we need to build it ourselves but we don't have the bridge building tools and no one gives them to us.
"Just cross the bridge." They say before walking over their pre-built bridge. They never gave you the tools to build a bridge to cross.

When drawing your comic panels, sketches, and so on for humanoid characters, how do you handle anatomy?
I’d guess that it’s a pretty instinctual thing for you by this point after seeing all your (awesome, amazing, WOW I strive to draw as good as you do one day) art. I can’t manage to draw anything past a simple headshot lol, and even then I still struggle a good bit. I feel like I’ve gotten a lot better than I used to be though, and that’s definitely a good feeling.
Any helpful tips? It’s fine if you don’t have any though—I was just curious.
Tumblr media
Whether you are a begginer or more advanced at drawing references are always helpful, not necessarily meaning to copy them but rather to study them so you can figure out how the body works and you can pose it however you want more easily! I'm still not that good but with enough practice they can look pretty decent.
I feel you about drawing headshots only, i used to do that a lot too. You could try to thumbnail (basically make a little sketch) your idea so you see the whole picture rather than just focusing all your attention in a portrait.
Tumblr media
Iiiii hope this makes sense and hopefully helps? There're really good video tutorials on youtube that go WAY more into detail to tackle anatomy that have helped me a lot, Proko, Mark Brunet, Ethan Becker's channels are some that come to mind!

He's perched on top the counter — arms squeezed around your middle. His unruly curls tickle the nape of your neck while his chin rest on your shoulder.
You were partly listening to Steve, chewing at the rim of your cup as he drones on and on about his date with Brenda. Eddie was a bit too stoned, almost passing out behind you.
He gets clingily when he's like this, using the excuse that you keep him from floating away — keep him grounded. Truthfully, Eddie was a big ole' softie.
Only for you, of course.
The party was quickly dying — the clock ticking close to twelve o'clock, many of the Hawkins social scene have called it a night. A few stragglers remain, scattered about the house.
You could feel her gaze on the pair of you — the familiar feeling of someone watching you has been a common occurrence tonight, ever since she walked in.
Your suspicion proved correct, glancing behind Steve to lock with a pair of striking blue eyes. The blonde is quick to look away, trying to play it cool like she wasn't just caught in the act — again.
"I think Chrissy has a crush on you, Eds."
"That's nice." He yawns, arms hugging you tighter — a delicate kiss to your skin, his face nuzzles into the crook of your neck. "Doesn't matter."
"Doesn't matter!" You gasp, pulling away to look at him. "Why's that?"
His lips pull into a playful grin, knowing the game you were playing. The two of you have yet to put a label on your relationship, but everybody knew.
It was clear as day, you two were together. Eddie Munson's heart belongs to you as yours does to him. The pair of you didn't need a label, faithful to the other.
That didn't mean it wasn't nice to hear every once in a while.
He turns you to face him — a smile on your lips, arms gliding around his neck, fingers weaving into his curls. "Don't want her." His forehead rest against yours, lips hovering dangerously close, nose nuzzling yours. "Only you, sweetheart."
Your smile tugs wider, stretching ear to ear. You lean back slightly, admiring the man who stole your heart so long ago. "I love you, Eddie Munson."
"I love you." His callous fingers caress your cheek — sweet, auburn eyes captivating, placing you deeper under their spell, staring at you as if you hung the moon and stars.
It was in these moments — when the rest of the world just fades away, leaving just the two of you. Nothing else mattered, only the love between two souls.
Love — extraordinary, rare, and beautiful. So, so beautiful.
"My girl." His soft, plush lips press to your forehead, pulling you impossibly closer to his chest — his ring covered hand grazing up and down your spine.
You don't waste a second, snuggling into him. Yeah, fuck a label — you didn't need it anyways. Eddie was yours, and you his.

just me rambling ab my thoughts again
you and anton backstage at mama. as soon as the shows finished, he's grabbing your hand and dragging you into the empty dressing room. he immediately locks the door, wasting no time in bending you over the table and pushing your dress up to bunch it around your waist. he's wanted this since he saw you before the show started. in that pretty dress and them thigh highs. how could he not want to fuck his doll stupid?
anton doesn't even pull your panties off, he just pushes them to the side. you barely notice when unzips his pants to free his painfully hard cock. he spits on it, jerking himself a few times before he slowly pushes his angry tip into your warm heat. and you're wrapping around him so good, he can't help but bury his head in the crook of your neck to muffle his groans. "fuck!" he moans. "you're fucking soaked. did baby need me that badly?" he mutters, rocking into you as he watched your cunt suck him in. losing himself in how his cock is now glistening with your arousal. and you just won't shut the fuck up with your whining, so he just clasps a hand over your mouth. "be quiet for me pretty.. don't want anyone to walk in on us now, do we?" he whispered, his breathing shaky. he's whispering the softest praises and phrases of encouragement in your ear.
best believe he's cumming inside of you, pulling your panties up to keep all of his seed where it is. the idea of his cum dripping down your thighs as you walk around and sort everything out riled him up. and best believe that he's fucking you again and again as soon as you get back to the hotel room.

here's the thing. buddie is endgame. you know why? because tommy's sole purpose wasn't to show the audience buck is bisexual and move on. tommy is there because he is going to help buck grow and settle in his own skin, help him find his way in this new territory buck is strange to, and get him ready for a relationship with that man (wink)— maybe even make him realize he's in love with him. so when tommy eventually leaves, i doubt buck is going to fuck around and find out (not for long at least) because we've seen that too many times, but instead he will be ready to take the next step that is eddie diaz, the love of his life. anyway my point is tommy's here to make buddie endgame and it's gonna be an amazing ride to watch

What people don’t get is that my manhood and my transness are inherently intertwined. If someone is harassing me for being trans, they’re harassing me for being a trans man. If I’m demonized and excluded for being a man, I’m demonized and excluded for being a trans man. If I wasn’t trans then I wouldn’t be a man, and if I wasn’t a man then I wouldn’t be trans. You cannot ever fully separate them.
