Kind of feeling like I might finally need to figure out how to make gifs…

#I’ve thought about it so many times but never done it #and like if I watched jatp earlier I likely would’ve but I feel like by the time I jumped on the bandwagon everything had been giffed a lot #but now I want specific gifs of the scenes paralleling jatp and heartstopper I am not satisfied with just screencaps #I’m sure I can follow tutorials and figure it out but I just never have and worry it’ll eat my time bc I’m a slight perfectionist #we’ll see what the weekend brings and what my brain demands after finishing heartstopper

┏ i like to read, watch, and sometimes write. but nowadays i really just prefer rotting and decaying on my bed because school is absolutely exhausting and i have no better idea than to use all my spare time for simply sleeping.

Okay hello! Here's a JATP headcanon for you

So we all know Reggie is a massive Star Wars fan, and I'm sure he'd get back into it in the present, watching the sequels and stuff with Julie. Now, I'm thinking that she would most definitely introduce him to fandom too, fun fan-edits, gifs, text posts, and, most importantly, fanfiction. And Reggie would absolutely love it.

I see Alex as the reader out of the band, but as soon as Julie made Reggie an AO3 account and showed him how to access The Interweb on her tablet the boy is never to be seen again. What is Reggie doing while Luke and Julie are writing songs and Alex and Willie are screaming in museums? Correct, King is huddled in a blanket on the loft reading fluffy Finn/Poe Dameron fanfiction.

He tries to get his boys into it too. Luke isn't really interested ("it's about the m-yusic, Reggie") but Alex gives it a try and is hooked. I don't know what fandom he would read tho, maybe you have an idea

Okay, first off, you are 100% correct and you should say so. Reggie would be so nervous about watching the new ones, since the first thing he heard about them was that they killed Han Solo and that Jar Jar exists, but once Julie gets him started on them, he loves it. And once he gets into fandom....

He goes down several rabbit holes before settling on Finn/Poe as his Star Wars otp, and is a bit disturbed by how many people actually think Ray and Ben/Kylo Ren were good for each other, but once he gets to the gay side, then he's good. He spends so much time curled up reading, either on the phone Julie got for the three of them to message her, or on someone's laptop. He keeps accidentally leaving ao3 open on Carlos's laptop and Carlos is very confused the first couple times, but then realizes it's Reggie and it all makes sense. (sidebar, Reggie starts leaving open some of his favorite cute, fluffy(and clean, Carlos is a child) fics open for Carlos to read and then they have whole big debates/conversations about them, because let Reggie be a Molina please).

You're very right, Luke wouldn't really get the appeal of fanfic(though he does rather enjoy the music video type edits of stuff he sees sometimes...), but Alex would totally get into it! As far as fandom goes... many options, including most of Kenny Ortega's other works(HSM, Descendents, etc.), but hear me out, what is the only possible result of Alex watching Heartstopper? He would get obsessed. So I feel like he'd get very deep into the fandom very quickly once Reggie introduces him to ao3 and stuff.

Reggie and Alex start just using fandom/ao3 terms in normal conversation, which Julie is able to follow fairly easily unless it's something very specific to one fandom she isn't in, but Luke is so confused. Like, Reggie makes some comment about how a song they wrote would work so well as a hurt/comfort fic, and Alex and Julie just think for a second and then agree and Luke is just like, "...a what?"

Anyways, let Reggie(and eventually Alex) read fanfic, thank you.

i have 6 (mostly) active blogs

my main (where follows and likes, etc.) is @kishiryus; i mainly just reblog photos and writing prompts there

there is @chaoticbis which used to be my second (and only other) blog i used for fandom stuff (degrassi, love victor, jatp, pr, etc.) it’s now kind of inactive, but i’m planning on watching some non-toku soon (heartstopper, druck, lv season 3)

this blog (which was formely named tyramigos) was made because, at the time, dino fury was being released and i didn’t want to spam chaoticbis with pr stuff so i made a separate account just for toku. i mainly post kamen rider stuff now, but i’ve been getting back into sentai/pr, and want to start ultraman, dogengers etc.

i have two other toku accounts @toqchange; which is for dino fury spoilers/live blogs (when that was a more relavent thing) and @hidengifs which is where i post all my original gifs

and i have an account that’s barely active that i post stuff about music (which is mostly kpop) @yoxndri

do you guys know how madly blindingly angry I am that there is not going to be another julie and the phantoms series. them fuckers at netflix cancelling all the good fucking shows. no more fucking jatp and babysitters club is ended as well. i’m literally crying about these kids shows. we never got to see alex x willie become real. it ended on a cliffhanger. i’m so tired. it was so good as well.

hi does anyone have queer book recommendations that are less… concrete. about who they’re representing.

I’m a queer person. I know this. I think i’m non binary but I don’t know. I might be a girl I might be a guy i don’t know. I’m with a guy, but I think I also like girls. I think ? I think i’m asexual but I could be wrong you never know.

I want a book that gets that. i’m not questioning. I just don’t particularly care. I think that the only characters I get who are like this in any way, are very bi coded. the ace spec vibes is the things that I never find. I don’t mean someone discovers that they are asexual, but someone that knows about the asexual labels, and partly relates to them and is okay with that. I really just don’t relate to that certainty, or that sort of. tortured confusion. I am not tortured. I simply vibe baby.
