Excuses
NOT A PR0MPT
******
“You are not welcome here.” The words were punctual. Strict. Demanding. Maybe they would have been intimidating if Hero hadn’t been shaking beneath her covers.
“Trying to cast me away like a spirit? It won’t work.” A glowing smile emerged from the darkness, one so bright that it was nearly blinding, but so direct that it was far from illuminating the room. The smile was all Hero could see.
“You are not welcome here.”
“Did saying it again satisfy your fear?” The smile grew. “I’m no spirit, Hero. Only a shadow in the dark and a smile to haunt your dreams.”
Why? the hero wondered. Why did her brain punish her like this when she only killed one man? Villain killed tens of people every day- for information, for revenge…for fun. Hero only took out a threat.
“Did they haunt you?” she asked, voice so quiet that Villain would not have been able to hear it- even if he were human laying beside Hero in bed. “The people you killed, did they haunt you?”
His response held no callous, no maliciousness. It was calm, matter-of-fact. “No.”
Hero shook her head. Of course not. Villain had no remorse, no nagging part of his brain which told him ‘You’re better than this.’ Villain, she thought, was evil. Maybe he hadn’t always been that way, but he sure as hell was now, even now that he was a dead, opaque shadow of a man.
“What was there to feel guilty about? I had my own means, and they were all expendable.”
Knowing Villain, Hero imagined that slow blink he used to give. Arrogant, careless. She used to admire that; his ability to ignore everyone else, to do things for himself- and himself only. Not many people knew how to take care of themselves, but Villain sure did. It only became too much when Hero realized she was as regular as everyone else to Villain. She was just as replaceable.
***
“You are taking this too far. How many people have to die for you to make a point!”
Villain’s hands were bloody, and they had been for as long as Hero could remember anymore. Red, always red.
“As many as it takes.”
Hero wasn’t even sure what the point was. Villain was- he was a murderer, and the explanations he was giving were starting to become dull. Did he ever have a true purpose?
“Someone does you wrong and you have to destroy everyone for it?” Hero questioned, voice uncontrollably raised. It was a simple and unfortunate situation that Villain was so worked up about, that he killed multiple undeserving people for.
“It was hardly everyone. You’re still alive, aren’t you?” He walked to the sink and Hero shuddered when his red hand touched the handle. She would disinfect it when he was done.
“You might as well have. So what if she got the promotion and you didn’t? Do you really think she had it out for you or anyone else who applied for it?” Hero swallowed. “What if it had been me instead of her?”
“It wasn’t.”
She argued, “But it could have been. Answer me.”
He turned the handle back, stopping the water flow, and not able to find a rag, shook the excess water onto the stovetop. The water hissed against the burner as Hero had had soup there just before Villain arrived.
“What if it had been me instead of her?”
How was it that Hero had been putting up with this for so long? Why did she let any excuse to kill another human become an excuse? There were none for what Villain was doing. He was killing. He was killing for the sake of killing.
“I would do whatever I felt like doing, just like I’ve always done. And if you had a problem with it”- he shrugged, then didn’t finish.
So, he would kill her, if the time arose- if he felt like it, if he felt angered enough, if something happened which wasn’t her fault, if he felt like something was her fault. He would kill Hero.
“I love you.”
“I love you, too.” His voice was neutral, with no trace of harm like there had been last he’d spoken.
“You don’t mean it. You’re saying it because it suits you in this moment- because you know I would leave right this moment if you didn’t say it.” But what did it matter? Hero didn’t mean anything to him anyway if he was willing to kill her for nothing. “I’m your coverup,” she said. “You’re using me to avoid suspicion.”
His response was as chilling as winter’s first breeze. “You think so?” he asked, and it would have seemed so innocent if not for his straight, unchanging face. Hero suddenly felt nervous being in the kitchen- so many sharp knives and scissors and meat mallets and...and he was grabbing a glass cup. Glass was breakable, harmful, weaponizable.
***
That night, it was Hero’s hands covered in blood, and that blood belonged to Villain.
***
"Am I as entertaining to you now as before- asking questions you’ve been waiting for me to ask?” Hero wouldn’t let Villain’s ghost bother her. She would suffer her own guilt in her own time.
“It’s all I’ve looked forward to.”
Hero’s chest tightened. After declaring she wouldn’t be affected, she still was. Villain was a ghost, a paranormal being she used to make fun of at the mention of it. “Then I’ll stop asking.” She pulled her blanket up to her lips. “What will it take to get rid of you?”
“Maybe a kiss goodnight would do,” Villain said. “You can blow it to me if it makes you feel safer, more comfortable.”
Sinister. Villain was sinister, and evil, and every negative adjective in the dictionary.
“You’re powerless right now- a white sheet with eyes and a voice. You’re nothing else.” Hero said this more to herself than Villain. “When I close my eyes, it will be like you were never here. Your voice will be a nightmare that I’ll forget in the morning.”
She did close her eyes, and when Villain persisted that he be her waking nightmare- not only her sleeping one- Hero ignored him. She was already dreaming, she told herself in the confines of her own mind. Villain was practically see-through; he couldn’t hurt her. He would taunt her and make her feel intimidated, but he couldn’t truly do anything. He had no power.
Hero wouldn’t say goodnight, but she would say the guilt she felt was fading. The fact she killed someone no longer mattered.
She had an excuse.
But didn’t Villain have excuses as well?

Promising Hands
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x Child reader x Romanrogers
Warnings: blood, Injured child, violence, angst, but fluff. THIS SUCKS, it was a rush job, and is not edited
Summary: One Red-head Russian, One Cool Ranch Dorito, and a mission that can change their lives forever.
Word count :1458
A/N:  Spare me I have not written in awhile.  this has been in my drafts i have just be to S H Y to post them. oh, and request are open.
Request?: NAH!!!!!!!!!!! DIS WAS ALLLLLL MEH .  Spare me i have not written in  awhile.
“Steve this floor is clear, I'm moving to  Sub-level one.” The Russian spy said, pressing and releasing the button on her earpiece. “Okay, be careful.” She then rolled her eyes with a scoffed and pressed her earpiece. “When am I not?” She said, continuing down the flight of stairs. “I can think of a couple of times,” he said in a seductive voice. “You know what Rogers, I have work to do, you should do the same. “Whatever you say” she then turned “Mmhmm'' she said with her guns raised starting down a hallway. She then came in contact with two hydra agents but shot them down effortlessly, each three times. Head. Chest.Stomach. She then saw a light flicker in a room down the hallway with its’ door cracked open.
 She walked down the hallway and pushed the door open with her gun ready for any danger. The room looked like a messy lab, things were everywhere, the computers were destroyed, chemicals and serums spilled on the table as if they were in a rush.
 An agent then came behind her and wrapped his arms around her neck, making her drop her gun. Nat countered by elbowing him in his face and then kicking him in his chest through a glass table, then grabbed her gun. When he attempted to get up she shot him twice in the stomach.
She then heard a gasp and snapped her attention toward the sound raising her gun once more. She then slowly proceeds toward the table. She leaned over the table and looked under it to see a little girl about 3 or 4 with her knees curled up to her chest and her head buried in her crossed arms.
 “Hello,” Natasha said in a calm and friendly tone, which is very unlikely for this assassin. The child then looked up and flinched trying to scoot back farther. When she backed against the wall, she snapped her focus back at the women.
 Her e/c eyes were met with fiery red hair and emerald green eyes, which were comforting. She gasped when she saw Nat’s gun. “H-hey, it’s’ okay, I won’t hurt you,” Nat said, putting her gun into the holster.  “What is your name?” She asked the girl “Y/n” the child responded barely above a whisper.”That is a beautiful name, I’m Natasha, now let's get you somewhere safe.”
 “N-no more b-bad people?” The little girl asked, voice is full of insecurity. “No more bad people,” Nat said reassuringly. “You promise?” “I promise” “How can I trust you?” “We promise to protect you from bad men always, and if you give me your hand I promise to never let it go, Okay?” “Okay,”
At the moment, Nat knew that she was immediately attached to the wounded girl. What wounded girl!?! Nat was too distracted by the girl to realize the blood-soaked shirt and the growing crimson pool around the girl. Without hesitation, Nat grabbed the little girl and rushed out of the room.  “ Hey Steve I found Hydra’s project and she needs medical help.” “She?... It’s a person?” “Yes and she needs medical evac, keep up Steve.”
The little girl wrapped her arms around Nat’s neck and her legs and her waist. When they got outside the little girl buried her face in Nat’s neck to avoid the blinding light in the sky that was unknown to her, Nat could help but think of how cute the sight was.
Nat felt the body go limp and started to run faster. When she reached the quinjet, Nat carefully laid the unconscious girl on the floor and then examined the little body. The little girls were very pale, hardly breathing, and had lost a lot of blood, multiple cut wounds, a very big and deep stab wound. It looked like someone tried to kill her, in the mist of their base being invaded.
 Nat found a cloth and started applying pressure while Steve flew the jet as fast as he could. With one hand Nat tried to stop the bleeding, and in the other she held the child’s hand, keeping her promise.
 When they arrived, Nat ran with the little girl straight to med bey, there she found Bruce, who was talking to Dr.Cho. “Hey Na- who is that?” he asked immediately getting a gurney. “Hydra’s project, and she needs help,” Nat stated, placing the girl on the bed, still holding her hand. “Bruce, help her please, she stopped breathing like a couple of seconds ago.” she said still holding the girl’s hand, following the gurney down the hall toward the O.R. when they reached the doors of the room nat was stopped by a nurse, the sudden action causing her to let go of the girl's hand.
“ No I have to stay with her.” she said, trying to push past the doctor.“ Ma’am you should let the doctors do their work.” the nurse said, trying to block the doorway. Nat was getting angry, and trust me you do not want to make Natasha Romanoff, aka the Black Widow angry. “ No she needs me. I have-,” “Ma’am, please, listen to me-” “ NO! You listen to m-” “ Sorry nurse, I’ll take it from here” Steve said, cutting off Natasha and pushing her away from the door  to a wall in the hallway.
“Steve, babe, no, I-i h-have to be in there, I-i need, i need to hold her hand,” Steve looked at her with a sad expression “She was scared, and I know what it is like at that age, when your in a situation you don’t want to,  a-and have horrible people do bad things to you and make you do bad, bad things.” she stated with worry.
Steve gave her a small smile and then pulled her into a hug. He knew that she was referencing the red room, and how she hated what they did to kids at such a young age and how it was scarring. “Nat, everything will be fine,” he said, stroking her hair, all she did in response was give a nod. “Why don’t you go take a shower and get something to eat and come back down, and I will be here when they finish with her in the recovery room.” he said pulling away from the hug, she just nodded again and walked down the hall.
When Nat came back down to MedBay, (y/n) was out of o.r., and in recovery. She walked into the room to see the girl connect to all different monitors, an IV, and a breathing tube in her nose. Steve was asleep on the armchair next to the bed with one of his hands resting on top of one of the girl’s. That made Nat smile softly.
 She was walking around the room reading Bruce's analysis, and that's when Steve woke up. “You look refreshed” he said stretching, his voice still groggy.  “Yeah after showers, eating, and debrief, I was really tired, and took a cat nap,” she said, kissing his forehead. “How’s she doing?” Nat said, holding the girl's other hand. “M’kay, but my tummy hurts.” the girl said with a small smile, Nat and Steven happily returning  it.
That a was 4 and half months ago
 Y/n woke up in a cold sweat, breathing heavy, and tears streaming down you  face. A bad dream. The small girl got out of bed and walked down the hall.  Three doors down, make a left, first door on the right.
Being the trained ex-assassin/spy she is, as soon at the door opens she lifted her head to see who it was. “Y/n, hun, why are you up?” she said concern taking over her face.  “I had a bad dream” she whispered.  “M’sorry babes, do you want to sleep with me and daddy,” she asked giving the little girl grabby hands. The girl gave a small smile, and nodded her head, walked over to Nat’s side of the bed and climbed in. the girl got under the blankets and and cuddle closer to Nat and she held you tight, and buried your face in her chest.
“я люблю тебя, детка” she planting a kiss to the girls forehead. “I love you too mama” the girl replied with a small yawn. Steve then rolled over, moving closer to the pair, wrapping a protective arm around Natasha and y/n.“ I love you y/n/n” he said. “I love you too daddy.” “My two favorite girls,” “Good night babe” he said to the redhead, giving her a kiss. “Good night baby.” she said, returning the kiss. “Good night y/n” they said at the same time, kissing your head. “Good night”.
я люблю тебя, детка~ I love you Baby

It Wasn't For You
Summary: A mission gone horribly wrong drives a wedge between you and Carol. Is the bond fixable, or are the things you both said unforgivable?
Pairing: Carol Danvers x Reader
Warnings: Language
Word Count: 2,998
Tumblr media
You weren't sure what that emotion was that was boiling in your blood as you stormed back to your apartment. Was it worry? Were you just upset? You let it sit with you a moment as you unlocked the door. It wasn't either one of those things. It was rage. It was hot, unbridled rage. The cause of it was a certain Avenger who you had thought loved you enough to not do what she'd done. Clearly, she hadn't.
She was right behind you, stepping through the doorway before you could slam it behind you. You growled under your breath as she invited herself into your home, closing the door only once she was in. You didn't even bother turning to face her. You went straight to the bar and poured yourself a drink, not offering her one and not planning to let her touch a single drop of your alcohol. You took a sip of the hard liquor.
"Would you listen to me for one goddamn second?" She huffed out.
"I listened to you for multiple seconds, Carol. It doesn't change any facts."
"I did it for you!"
"I don't give a fuck."
Truly and honestly, you didn't. What she'd done was immoral, infuriating, and wholly unforgivable. She could get down on her knees right there in front of the bar and you wouldn't have batted an eyelash. It wouldn't be enough. In fact, you were convinced that nothing would be enough for you to forgive her. It didn't matter how much you had loved her yesterday or the day before. It didn't how much you loved her today.
"I'd do it again," she assured.
"Then I would do this again," you turned to finally face her, eyes locking with the brown ones that could usually instill a sense of peace in your chest, but today seemed to have no effect. "We're done, Carol. I think it'd be best if you left, please."
You could practically hear her heart dropping into her stomach. There was a part of you that ached to bring her into your arms and soothe that hurt look off her face. You knew better. That piece of you would fade eventually. You'd learn not to love her anymore. In fact, you could probably learn how to hate her. The boiling rage that was flowing through your very veins could assist you with learning that.
"Please-"
"I'm asking you to go," you said, firmer this time. "Please, get out."
If she'd had a tail to tuck between her legs, she absolutely would have. She didn't even bother to protest again. The expression you'd plastered on your face made it clear it wouldn't have done anything anyway. She slowly made toward the door. Her hand touched the doorknob and she cast her gaze back to you once more. You didn't dare let your features soften. You could've sworn there were tears in her eyes as she turned the doorknob and left.
You breathed out as the door closed behind her, finally daring to let tears streak down your cheeks.
*
You stared down the super soldier, neither of you wanting to speak first. He was the team leader though, and basically your boss. You knew even if he was the first one to speak, you were going to be the one spilling everything. You didn't want to, not one bit, but you knew you were going to have to anyway. You wondered if you had the strength to talk about it. You wondered if he had the strength to listen to your recollection of events.
"I just need to know what happened so when they ask-"
"Fuck, Steve! Natasha fucking died and we're sitting here having this stupid conversation," you shouted, rising to your feet, tossing the papers in front of you off the table, and moving to the window. "I have a goddamn funeral to plan!"
"Look, neither of us wants to talk about this, but we have to!"
You sighed, clasping your hands behind your back as you looked out at the compound grounds. There were agents training, running laps around the building. Sam was the one guiding them, seeming to enjoy barking orders at them. You tore your gaze away from a sight that seemed to have lost its beauty now that Natasha wasn't there alongside the Falcon, chuckling with him as they watched the new recruits huff and puff.
"It was me or her and Carol chose me," you finally gave. "I was what would have been fatally outnumbered and Natasha was down. She was in the jet. Carol could have either gone and stopped the jet from crashing, or she could pull me out and neutralize the enemy. She chose the latter. That's what happened. Happy?"
"I need your report."
"I need to plan Natasha's funeral!"
You stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind you. You let out the breath that had been stuck in your chest, leaning your head against the wall and shutting your eyes. It hadn't been an easy couple of days. You'd have been surprised if you'd gotten more than three hours of sleep in the last three nights combined. Somehow, though, you still didn't feel tired. You felt a lot of things, but that wasn't one of them.
As if losing Natasha wasn't hard enough, you were also grappling with crippling amounts of anger and guilt. Natasha should have been the one that was saved. She was the obvious choice, and yet here you stood, and Natasha was gone. The anger, though? That was all for Carol. She had promised you that her relationship with you wouldn't have affected her at work, but it had. She'd saved you when she should have saved Natasha and all of those people in the impact zone.
"Can we talk?"
Speak of the devil.
You opened your eyes, using your shoulder blades to push yourself away from the wall. Immediately your entire stance got defensive. You crossed your arms over your chest. You watched as she searched your eyes in hopes of being able to read them like she usually did, but knew it would be to no avail. You didn't want her to know anything about what you were feeling. She didn't deserve to know what you were feeling. All she deserved was to be on the receiving end of your rage.
"No. I told you we're done, Danvers. We don't need to talk anymore."
"I'm not letting you go that easy."
"You don't have a damn choice!" You laughed humourlessly. "You can't stop me. You don't own me, and you definitely don't own my heart."
With that, you stepped around her, walking toward the doors of the compound. You could hear her footsteps trailing behind you. You didn't bother to turn around and glance at her, or even open your mouth to tell her to go away. You just let her follow you as if she were going to get something out of you. She wasn't going to. The last thing you wanted to do was hear some sort of failed explanation as to why she'd decided to save you. You knew why. It was because she couldn't separate home and work. You never should have trusted her to be able to.
You stepped out into the sunlight, cursing the sky for being so bright and sunny when it felt like it should be dark and gloomy. A storm cloud and roaring thunder might appropriately match the way you felt inside. Instead, you were forced to pull your sunglasses down over your eyes as you headed back toward your car, feeling you could use the walk toward it instead of making it come to you- a feature Tony has insisted you needed. As you arrived though, Carol finally reacted.
"Jesus Christ, would you hear me out?" She said, anger in her voice as she grabbed your wrist.
"Let go of me."
"Talk to me."
"I already said no. Let go of me," you demanded.
You ripped your arm out of her grasp, glaring at her as she retracted her arm. You unlocked your car, getting into the front seat. You didn't even glance at Carol as you started the engine, put the car into drive, and pulled out of your spot, leaving her behind.
*
It was early when you woke up the next morning, and immediately your day went different than normal. Your eyebrows furrowed when you stepped out of your bedroom and found an envelope slipped under your apartment door. It was completely unmarked. You knew the danger of anything unmarked. You were an Avenger. You couldn't find it in you to care, though. Without Carol's arms around you, you tossed and turned. Losing Natasha hurt so much more without Carol there to hold you through it. But it was her fault.
You reached down and picked up the envelope. You sliced it open with the knife that was resting on the table beside the front door. What you pulled out was a single piece of lined paper. It had clearly been ripped out of someone's notebook, the torn rings hanging off the left side. You unfolded the paper and immediately recognized Carol's handwriting inside. You crumpled it up and prepared to throw it, but then you hesitated.
She wasn't there. You didn't have to talk to her. You didn't want to talk to her one bit, but you were dying to hear her side of the story. This way, you didn't have to risk breaking and losing yourself to emotion in front of her. You uncrumpled the paper and held it out in front of you. You took a deep breath and let your gaze drift over Carol's familiar handwriting once before you moved your eyes to the top of the page.
Y/N,
I really hope you didn't throw this out. I suppose if you're reading this, you didn't.
I know you don't want to talk to me. If I were you, I might not want to talk to me either. Your best friend died and it is entirely and completely my fault. I know that. It is my fault. I could have saved her, and I didn't. I just need you to know why.
I know you think that I broke my promise. I promised you, Steve, and every Avenger, including Natasha, that I would never let our relationship affect our work. It must seem like I failed to do that. I didn't break that promise. I love you. I do. But I wouldn't do that.
I knew that saving Natasha was more likely to be successful than saving you. Saving her would have meant saving those three civilians too. Not saving you, though, meant that they would have gotten away, and it meant they would have killed dozens of our agents on their way out. There were so many of them. They outgunned our men by too much. I didn't do it for you. I did it for them.
It breaks my heart that I couldn't save her. If I could have given my life for hers, I'd have done it in a heartbeat. If choosing her over you had been the right choice, I'd have done it. I promise you that.
I love you, even if you can't love me back.
- C
*
Tears spilled from your eyes as the empty casket was lowered into the ground. When a hand brushed ever so lightly against yours, you stiffened. You glanced for a moment over at the woman beside you. Those brown eyes were locked on you as well, for a moment, before turning back to the burial. You took a deep breath before moving, threading your fingers between hers. You pulled a little closer to her.
Maybe you should have listened to her. That letter you'd received yesterday had been a lot to think about. You'd been so angry with Carol because she'd closed you over Natasha and you'd been selfish enough to think it was because she couldn't separate her feelings for you from work. When you'd found out that wasn't the case, it had taken away all your reason to be angry at her. What happened to Natasha wasn't her fault.
Once the red had faded, you'd realized how stupid you'd been being. Carol had obviously been hurting and you'd been gatekeeping pain because you'd been blaming yours on her. The guilt stewing in her gut was probably millions of times worse than yours. She'd had to make that choice out in the field. It was the right choice, you saw now, but that would never matter. You knew how that felt, and you'd pushed her away and left her to deal with it alone. You wouldn't blame her if she couldn't forgive you for that.
When the funeral ended and people started heading toward the reception, you stayed glued to the spot. You could tell Carol wasn't sure what to do. Her hand had tried to pull away to give you space, but this time it was you that didn't let her leave you. The hand that was in hers tightened enough that she got the message. You had to wonder if she'd stay to hear it. As always, though, she was better than you. Her efforts to move away stopped.
You stayed silent for a moment, standing in that position and wondering what to say. There might not have been words enough to express just how sorry you were. There might not have been anything you could say that would make her forgive you. You deserved that, though. You broke up with her. There was no obligation for her to take you back and you hadn't given her any reason to want to. You were the one who had pushed.
"I'm sorry, Carol," you muttered, knowing full well that wasn't enough. "I'm sorry for everything. I was selfish."
"I get it," she admitted. "It's okay."
She was better than you.
But it wasn't okay. What you'd done to her was far from okay. You'd taken one look at the guilty relief in her eyes after that mission and decided that she'd sacrificed Natasha for you. She was allowed to be relieved. You would have been, if the roles had been reversed. Just because you lost Natasha, didn't mean Carol wasn't allowed to be a little relieved that the love of her life survived. Now, you didn't get to be that.
"Baby... Carol, I just wanted you to know that I read what you wrote and I'm sorry for how I'd reacted. I'm sorry I didn't stop to hear you out before that and I'm sorry I pushed you away when you were obviously hurting."
She dared to pull you a little closer. "You can still call me Baby."
You had to let out a light chuckle at that, despite the tears on your face. You wondered if you were mourning Natasha or your relationship with Carol. Whatever the case, she reached out and brushed the pad of her thumb across your cheek. You couldn't resist leaning a little harder into her hand. She got the message, opening her hand and cupping your cheek, her palm pressing delicately against your skin and her thumb continued to trace your cheekbone.
"You were hurting too," she assured quietly. "You reacted that way because you were grieving. You needed someone to blame."
"It shouldn't have been you."
"I was easy," she said, hands sliding down so they were both in yours. "I could have saved her and I didn't. Whatever reasoning I might have had, that was the truth."
"I'm supposed to love you."
"You don't love me?" She questioned.
"I do! Of course I love you, Carol. But I haven't been great at doing that recently. I should have-"
"You love me and you were grieving your friend. That's it. And I love you too," she said, squeezing your hands. "Can we stop being broken up now?"
She was standing in front of you, a tiny smile on her lips, and forgiving you. She was asking you to take her back, like it wasn't supposed to be you on your knees begging for her forgiveness. You stepped forward, taking your hands out of hers so you could instead put them on her cheeks, and pulled her toward you until your lips had met. She kissed you back immediately, her hands finding your hips. She pulled away from you.
"So yes?" She said, a hint of teasing in her voice. "Because Natasha got us together and breaking up for good over her casket would not be honouring her memory very well."
"No, it wouldn't," you said, leaning your head onto her shoulder. You looked down at the wooden casket. "I miss her so much already, Carol."
"I know. Me too, Honey."
Your heart felt the slightest bit lighter now. You would've given anything for Natasha to be okay. The fact that she was gone still felt like a knife through the chest. At least now, though, you had Carol to hold you at night and kiss the tears off your cheeks. She had you to do the same for her. That was all either of you could do. Now, only time could lessen the pain. Carol put her arms around you and held you closer.
Just as you went to tell her once again that you loved her, her phone rang. She pulled it from her pocket, frowning at the number that was coming from outside the country. She showed it to you and you took the phone from her.
"Hello?"
"Did it work? Do they think I'm dead?" Said the so familiar voice.
You glanced up at Carol, sure the shock on her face matched yours.
"Natasha, what the hell-"
"We've got a new mission. Are you and your lovebird up for it?"
Carol kissed your cheek and then spoke to the woman on the phone. "Absolutely."

Tom slept like a rock that night. The best night’s sleep in a long time. He dreamed of Vivian, kneeling on his chest, kissing him, teasing him, biting him. And he woke that morning with his cock hard and leaking. He stroked himself as he thought about Vivian. But not in the way he usually did. Instead of fantasizing of her touching him, sucking his cock, jerking him off, Tom closed his eyes and imagined his lips on Vivian’s folds and clit. Her hands in his hair tugging his head where she wants it. Vivian moaning in response to his touch, his tongue. As her pleasure increases, Tom’s motions in real life increased. Tom came with a soft gasp, spurting along his torso. He panted, trying to catch his breath. Once he regained his composure, he headed to the shower to clean himself up and go for a jog.

Vivian rapped her nails on the desk in her flat. Her email open on the screen. She was drafting the proposed protocols for Saturday to Tom, and she contemplated on how far to push him. So far, Tom exceeded all Vivian’s expectations. Which worried her. In the past, all men have been eager to please, at first. But once the shiny new wore off, and the men realized the relationship wasn’t about her fulfilling their fantasies of kinky sex and it was about surrendering to her authority, they ran. Sometimes without further word. It wasn’t the incompatibility that bothered Vivian, but the coldness in which they communicated it. As though she was without feeling or emotion. This caused her to assign the reading at the beginning, to move more cautiously. And she wasn’t sure if her heart could handle a rejection from Tom.
With a sigh, she typed out to Tom:
This is a date for the sole purpose of kissing. No food, no drink, no chitchat, no reading, no hanging out.
In short: Kissing, petting, stroking and all the things come along with that- yes. Talking, sex, orgasms- no.
Here is a list of what may happen, not what will happen. If anything bothers you or off limits, let me know.
- Kissing, obviously. Let me know of any spots that are off limits.
- Shirt off
- Pants off (underwear on)
-Nudity (you, not me)
- Kneeling
- Blindfold
- Light bondage (cuffs- both wrists and ankles, tied to the bed)
- Biting
-Bruises on your body (both in places normally covered by clothing and places it would be visible such as the neck)
- All over body touching (let me know of body parts off limits)
- All over body licking (same as above)
- Roles reversed (you touching/licking me)
- Hands around your throat (gentle not choking)
- Hair pulling
- Fingers in your mouth (not gagging)
- Body-slapping
- Pinching
And I think I covered everything. Wear a button-down (I like when you undo the top few buttons) and jeans or slacks. Send me a photo of what your current underwear options are. I will send you your address that morning. I expect you at 7.
Vivian
She smiled as she re-read the email. She buzzed with anticipation at the possibilities of Saturday night. Vivian was certain she would cuff and restrain Tom, and not just because he had the tendency to squirm underneath her. She suspected it would push a button and was eager to test her theory. She hit click and headed off to work.

Tom was eating breakfast, having finished his morning run when his phone dinged with a new email from Vivian. He read through her email and swallowed hard. The list was extensive. He re-read before finishing up breakfast and heading upstairs and digging through his underwear drawer. Tom had three options laid out on the bed. He snapped a photo of them laid out on the bed. He examined the photo, unhappy.
“Might as well.” he commented to himself as he stripped down and pulled on the first pair, navy boxers.
Tom stood in front of the full-length mirror in the closet and snapped a photo. He hated to admit he may have flexed a bit in the photo. He repeated the process with the white underwear briefs, and the black Calvin Klein boxer briefs. Pleased with the photos, Tom typed back to Vivian.
Wow, that is quite the comprehensive list. I appreciate the thoroughness and the bullet points. I am not scheduled for any meetings until Wednesday, so any marks will have faded by then. My feet are ticklish. Probably shouldn’t tell you that. ;) And I would rather not have my armpits or the inside of my ears licked. Otherwise, I am game for whatever you want.
I have attached photos of the underwear, per your request. And if there is anything else I can do to be of service, please let me know, ma’am.
Your sunshine boy,
Tom
He attached the photos and sent the email and then returned to dressing for the day, flopping on the bed to return the last two books on his list before starting his essay.
-
Vivian was pleased Tom modeled the underwear rather than just lay them out of the bed. She probably would have directed him to model them. She wrinkled her nose at the first pic and flicking through the rest.
Black boxer briefs. Burn or throw away the tighty whities. If I find a pair in your home, I will punish you. Let’s change our night time call to 9:00 p.m. from now on. I hate keeping you up so late.
She placed the phone down on her desk. It buzzed almost immediately.
Consider them burned. 9 p.m. works for me, although I don’t mind waiting up if it means I get to hear your voice. :) I shall wait with bated breath until Saturday.
-
The rest of the day seemed to fly by for both of them and before long, Tom was settled into bed with both his books of collected poetry and Anna Karenina. He called on time and Vivian asked for him to read more of Tolstoy. He started doing voices of the characters, in particular an exaggerated Russian accent for Levin and Vronsky.
“I don’t think you are supposed to giggle at Tolstoy.” Vivian commented after one particularly dramatic passage.
“I’m a full service entertainer. Comedy, drama, action, romance.” Tom teased back.
“What about erotica?” she teased right back, her voice low.
Tom paused. “For you? Without question.” She could hear the hesitation, fear, and excitement in his voice. She hoped it would remain.
Vivian sighed. “I think it is enough reading for tonight. I want you to get a good night’s rest for tomorrow.”
“Yes ma’am.” he responded.
“Goodnight, Tom, my sunshine.”
“Goodnight, Vivian.”
They ended the call, and both drifted off to sleep.
-
Vivian attended her weekly blowout appointment, not realizing Tom spent the day as a bundle of nerves. He ran ten miles hoping to burn off excess energy. It didn’t work. The only thing he did was finish the last of the books from Vivian’s list. The fastest ever read through anything in some time. He was too distracted to write his essay, thought swirling in his brain. Tom wants it to be perfect. He wants everything to be perfect for Vivian.
Tom must have tried on at least six different shirts, each discarded on the bed as unsuitable. He settles on a soft, well worn light blue shirt. One of his favorites. The collar is fraying at the corners, which is why he doesn’t wear out as much anymore, favoring instead newer but less comfortable shirts. He grabbed a pair of jeans only to notice a hole on the inside of the thigh and discarded them also on the bed, grabbing a different pair. Tom left the top two buttons undone, a calculated air of casual. A quick dab of cologne and then he waited, not wanting to arrive too early.
-
After her morning errands, Vivian ate a light lunch and set about preparing her flat for Tom. She made up the bed with fresh linens and double checked the restraint points on the posts. She hadn’t decided on a leg position, so Vivian placed straps on all the corners as well as the point in the middle. Vivian opened the nightstand and retrieved the cuffs, adjusting them and placing them prominently in the foyer on a table. Cuffing Tom would be among the first things she did that night. In addition, she laid out a blindfold on the nightstand and put a bottle of water there too. After bathing, she slipped into a simple silk tank and striped shorts. She wore the same wedges as before. Vivian enjoyed looking Tom in the eye while standing and kissing. A quick dab of perfume behind the ears and settled on the couch, watching some TV waiting for Tom.
He knocked on her door, ten minutes early. Acceptably early without fear of being so early that he disturbed preparations.
“I couldn’t wait any longer.” Tom commented.
Vivian giggled. His eagerness was endearing. “I’ll allow it. Come in.”
“Yes, ma’am.” He stepped into her flat, looking around in wonder. Vivian grabbed him by the chin and kissed him hard.
“Do you still remember your word, sunshine?”
“Yes.” Tom is already breathing hard. “Sushi.”
She smiled and slid her hand down around Tom’s neck. His Adam’s apple moving underneath her palm. His eyes widened in fear. Vivian kissed him again. He leaned forward when she stepped back. She walked around him, fingers tracing the planes of his body, his broad shoulders, defined pecs and abs. Vivian gave his ass a playful swat. Tom yelped and staggered forward.
“Such a nice ass, sunshine.” She growled in his ear, grabbing it with her nails.
“Thank you, ma’am.” his voice shook. He wasn’t used to being manhandled, and his cock appreciated the rough touch.
“Shirt and pants off.” She stepped back to watch him undressed.
Tom’s cheeks blushed. He had been nearly nude in a room of strangers before, but under Vivian’s glare, he never felt so exposed. Tom tugged his shirt over his head, not bothering to undo the buttons this time. He folded the shirt, placing it on the nearby table while he slipped his shoes and socks off, and slipping his jeans down his lean legs. Vivian licked her lips at Tom in his underwear. While the man appeared fit clothed, he was something carved from marble without the clothes. He flashed a lopsided smile as he placed his jeans on top of his shirt and folding his hands in front of him, obscuring his crotch.
“God, you are beautiful.” Vivian hissed as she stepped forward to kiss him again. Tom hummed back at the praise, his body growing warm. She nipped at his lower lip, nibbling rather than biting, sending shocks through his body. “Wrists, please.”
Vivian moved to the table. Tom’s arms shot out. She grabbed the leather cuffs and put them on. Tom jerked back his arms.
“What are those?” His brows furrowed.
“Cuffs. Wrists.” Her tone sharp. Tom hesitated, his mouth opening to protest. “Sunshine, wrists.” she snapped.
“Yes, ma’am.” He reluctantly held out his wrists. She tightened the cuffs, making sure they wouldn’t chafe.
Tom twisted his wrists back and forth, testing out the weight and listening to the rings thudding against the thick leather. Vivian kissed him again, hands sliding down his torso. His cock jumped. She grabbed the back of his neck and led him towards the bedroom. Tom gulped at the blindfold and straps.
“Ah…” he started before being cut off by Vivian’s lips on his neck. “Oh!” he moaned. She laved and sucked hard, removing her lips with a pop, satisfied at the dark mark already formed.
“On the bed, sunshine. On your back.” Tom scrambled onto the bed, lying flat on his back. As Vivian slipped the cuffs on Tom’s ankles, he jerked back. She raised an eyebrow.
“Sorry, ma’am.”
“Good boy.”
She slipped her shoes off and then hooked his ankle cuffs to the straps in the middle of the bed. As Vivian strolled to the head of the bed, she ran a nail up Tom’s leg. He jerked against the restraints. She grabbed his arm and clipped it onto the strap before crawling onto the bed, reaching over to clip in the other side, her breasts grazing Tom’s body. His hips bucked.
“So squirmy, sunshine. Best I did tie you up.” Vivian straddled his chest, pushing him into the mattress. “I can’t let you get away just yet.” She pressed against his lips softly, earning a sigh. Her teeth worried his lower lip.
“Ow.” he mock protested.
Nevertheless, Vivian let go of his lip and trailed down his neck. She licked the bruise from earlier before moving down to his collarbone. Vivian sucked and nipped, leaving the twin to the neck’s bruise there. She smiled at her handiwork. Tom struggled against the restraints.
“They have held stronger men than you, sunshine.” Vivian dragged her nails down his sides, leaving faint lines. As she settled by his hips, Tom’s cock pressed against her. Tom huffed and puffed as she kissed his Adonis belt, scraping her teeth along his skin from time to time. Her hands stroked along his thighs and he flexed under her touch.
She slid off of Tom’s body, and he whined at the lack of contact. Vivian rolled back on top of Tom, lying along his full body like a blanket. Tom sighed at the weight and contact. She pressed her cheek to his chest, listening to his heart race. She snaked a hand to the back of his head and jerked his head sideways before kissing him. Tom met her lips with hunger and he whimpered each time she pulled away, only to tug him towards her again. He strained against the restraints, desperate to touch her, to pull her tight against him and rut against her. His tongue slipped into her mouth, needy, exploring every inch. He moaned as Vivian’s grip tightened on his hair, hurting, but he wanted more.
Vivian could sense Tom coming close to overheating, making a mess and complicating the hell out of this. His cock strained, hard and weeping. She pulled away, holding his lower lip between her teeth as long as possible, stretching it.
“Ow.” Tom muttered.
Vivian slid down to press against Tom’s side. She cupped her cheek before gently kissing behind Tom’s ear. Tom moaned softly from the back of his throat. Her fingers twisted into his hair and she massaged his scalp. Tom’s shoulders relaxed and his hands loosened from the fists. As she scratched and petted him, he leaned into her touch, his breath slowing to a deep and even pace. He closed his eyes, enjoying the soft touch.
“You are so beautiful, my sunshine.” She cooed at him. Her other finger tracing his jaw and cheekbone. “So pretty.” She kissed his cheek and stroked his chest.
“Thank you, ma’am.” His voice breathy and floaty.
Vivian reached over and unhooked Tom’s wrist. She turned and unhooked his other wrist. Tom didn’t move. She stood to unhook his ankles.
“Legs up, please.” Tom lifted his legs into the air. Vivian undid the cuffs, rubbing the skin and massaging it. She kissed the top of his feet and Tom giggled and squirmed. “You weren’t joking about being ticklish.”
“No, ma’am.” He slowly floated back to reality.
“Sit up, please.” Tom rocked up, his hair a rumpled mess, and held out his wrists. Vivian smoothed out his hair and held the back of his neck while she kissed his cheek and lips a few more times. She released him and unbuckled the wrist cuffs, rubbing his wrists and kissing each one and placed them on the nightstand and grabbed the water bottle, handing it to Tom.
“Thank you.” He opened the bottle and took a large swig. Vivian smoothed his hair back one more time.
“Let’s go get dressed, sunshine.” He sighed, taking another swig of water before standing. Vivian slipped her wedges back on and walked beside Tom, rubbing his neck the entire time. “I was a bit rough on you. Are you okay?”
“Yes, ma’am.” His voice quiet while he grabbed his jeans and tugged them on before pulling on his shirt, tucking it and zipping up.
“How did it feel? I imagine you are used to being treated with kid gloves.”
Tom pulled on his socks and shoes, working on finding the right words.
“I don’t quite know how it felt.” Tom replied, a hint of a smile at the corners of his mouth. “But I know I didn’t want it to stop. I didn’t mind the pain. I wanted to touch you and make you feel as good as you made me feel.”
Vivian smiled and pulled him into a hug, squeezing him tight. “Sunshine, I feel good. I received great pleasure at teasing you.” She kissed him. “With my mouth. And watching you squirm and hearing you purr.” She petted the back of his head. “But I appreciate your desire to please me physically. And you will when the time comes.”
Tom stared at her with his endless blue eyes. “When will that be, ma’am?”
“When you’re ready, Sunshine.” She kissed his cheek. “You still haven’t finished your homework first.”
Tom’s hands fidgeted, twisting in front of him. “I finished all the books. I plan on starting the essay tomorrow.” He stared at the floor. “I want it to be perfect.”
“As long as it is from your heart it will be, my sunshine boy.” She grabbed his hand and squeezed it. “I don’t ask for perfection, just effort.”
Tom nodded and squeezed her hand back. “Yes, ma’am.”
She walked him to the door, kissing him one more time. “Call me in the morning when you wake up.”
Tom nodded. “Thank you for tonight.”
“You are welcome. The pleasure was mine.”
Tom smiled and kissed Vivian’s cheek and headed out. She clicked the door shut and set about cleaning up the place. Tom came home and ate a sandwich before turning in early that evening, his brain still fuzzy.
-
As requested, Tom called in the morning, still in bed, to check in with Vivian. It pleased her that outside of the marks on his neck and collarbone, Tom was no worse for wear. Tom left out the part of the dreams he had or the fact he woke up with a raging hard on which Tom took care of in the shower, skipping his run for thirty minutes on his long neglected rowing machine.
Tom lazed about for most of the morning, having something akin to a hangover without the benefit of being drunk beforehand. As he sat down at this computer to start his essay for Vivian, there was a knock on the door. He groaned as he trudged to see who would dare disturb his lazy Sunday.
A smiling Benedict greeted him at the door. When he saw Tom in workout gear, he frowned.
“You’re not dressed!” he complained.
“For what?” Tom blinked back at him. He didn’t recall making plans.
“Lunch!” Benedict stepped in the foyer. “We made plans weeks ago. I’ll wait for you to change.”
Tom was ready to protest, but Ben crossed his arms and it was clear he wasn’t leaving without Tom. With a huff, Tom discarded his clothes into the bedroom which now had a small pile of discarded and dirty clothes, and grabbed an old gray v neck t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Shoving his feet into a pair of boots, Tom stomped back to Ben, pushing past him.
“Let’s go.” Tom grumbled.
Tom’s mood improved once he ordered some food and got half a pint into his system. Benedict stared at him, squinting.
“What?” Tom asked, still irritated.
“What is that on your neck?” He pointed at Tom’s neck. Tom twisted it, and then Ben spied the second mark on his collarbone. “And your chest? Were you attacked?”
Tom touched his collarbone and remembered. He blushed. “It’s nothing. Forget it.” He gulped down the other half of his pint and stood. “Let me go get another round.”
Benedict held out his arm to stop Tom. “It’s like you were bitten by someth… Oh… OH!” The lightbulb went off. “Things going well with Vivian?”
Tom rolled his eyes. “Yes.” He sidestepped Ben’s arm and grabbed another pint before returning to the table.
“Care to share?” He prodded.
“No.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. Moving on.” Tom grew more homicidal by the second.
Benedict clapped his hands together. “Remember how Sophie wrangled me into serving on the children’s hospital charity board?”
“Yes.” Tom saw the Cheshire Cat grin on Ben’s face. “No. No! I went last year and got cornered by that old lady who kept calling me ‘Henry’.”
“It was endearing.”
“It was ridiculous.”
“There’s an open bar.”
“Hard pass.”
“I have two tickets. You can bring Vivian.”
Tom stared at his friend. “I am not introducing you to Vivian.”
“Why not?”
“Because I like her and I’m afraid you will scare her off.”
Benedict scoffed. “I have never…” He clutched his chest in dramatic fashion. “… never scared anyone off.”
“Alice, Catherine, Eva…” Tom counted off on his fingers. “… I can go on.”
“None of them met my high standards. Please come.” he begged. “Sophie will kill me if you don’t come.”
“The thought of your death is tempting.”
The waiter set the food down.
“Tom…” Benedict dropped all pretense. “… please come. I promise I will be on my best behavior.”
Tom’s head dropped. “Give me the details. I will check with Vivian tonight when I call her.”
Benedict’s lips pursed. “Really? I can’t wait to meet her. Especially someone who leaves marks like that on you. Sounds like she is yours for the taking.”
“Yeah.” Tom mumbled as he took a bite of his food.
-
Tom called her at 9 p.m. like always.
“Sunshine, how was your Sunday?” she asked.
“Speaking of that…” Tom started, and she noticed the nerves in his voice. “What are you doing next Friday evening?”
She thought about it for a moment. “I believe I’m free. Do you have any ideas?”
Tom exhaled sharply. “I’ve been invited to a charity event by Benedict and I have two tickets, and I was wondering if you would like to come with me.” He blurted it all out in one big run-on sentence.
Vivian paused before laughing. “Wow, you were really nervous about that, weren’t you?”
“Yes, ma’am. Everything is still so new and I don’t… I don’t want to mess this up.”
“You are just the sweetest, sunshine. You know that right? Beautiful and sweet. Yes, I will go with you.”
Tom beamed. “How would everything work?”
“Like any date would. We go, we drink, we dance and mingle.”
“That’s not what I meant.”
“I know, darling. We can set some rules that work for both of us. okay?”
“Okay.”
“Now, read to me please.”
Tom grabbed the book.
-
Tom and Vivian agreed he would pick out three outfit options, but Vivian would come over ahead of time and make the final choice. They would not use pet names and instead would do what is natural. Tom asked that she still rub the back of his neck.
“It calms me down.” he commented.
“Of course, sunshine. I like when you are calm. You are more attentive that way.”
It was now the day of the event and Vivian sat on Tom’s bed, noticing the clutter. Tom was modeling the second outfit.
“I don’t like the tie. Let’s see the last one.”
Tom undid the tie and shirt and grabbed the last option. It was a double-breasted blue pinstripe suit with a blue shirt and navy tie. He did a little spin.
“That one.” Vivian stood and straightened his tie and petted his neck before squeezing his ass. “Your ass looks amazing in those trousers.”
Tom blushed again. “Thank you, ma’am.”
She kissed his cheek, wiping away her gloss. “Remember, no names, now let’s go.”
-
Tom was more at ease with Vivian by his side. Her reassuring touch at the back of his neck or even his shoulder grounded him. Not to mention, she dazzled everyone she met. Now for the big test.
“Benedict, Sophie, meet Vivian Swann. Vivian meet Benedict Cumberbatch, notorious troublemaker, and his queen of a wife, Sophie Hunter.”
Vivian shook each of their hands, holding tight to Tom’s but leaning in for a kiss on the cheek by Ben. Tom tightened his grip. She suppressed a giggle.
“Charmed. Thank you so much for inviting me. I have been looking into getting the firm involved in more charity work and the children’s ward is an enticing option.”
“Firm?” Sophie questioned.
“Watkins, Price, and Forbes. I work in their corporate law division.”
Benedict let loose a low whistle.
“Tom, you didn’t tell me you were dating a pit bull.” Sophie commented. “Impressive.”
Vivian smiled. “I prefer the term ‘velvet hammer’ but pit bull works. “
“How did you and Tom meet?” Ben interjected.
Tom paled, but Vivian didn’t miss a beat.
“The Bloomsbury Club. We bonded over a shared loved for Macallan 18-year-old aged whisky.”
Tom cleared his throat. “Right. Why don’t we take a seat?” He gestured at their reserved table.
“Your feet must be killing you in those shoes, Vivian. After having kids, I just can’t stand wearing them, but if I want to see eye to eye with this one.” She gestured at Benedict.
“Guilty.” He shrugged. “Although not as tall as the Frost Giant over there.”
Tom paused as he pulled out Vivian’s chair for her.
“I don’t mind the heels.” Vivian responded. “It is all what you get used to. Besides, I enjoy towering over people.” she giggled.
“Champagne?” the waiter offered.
“No, it makes her sneeze.” Tom commented.
“Get me a glass of white wine, please?” Vivian gazed up at him.
Tom smiled down and kissed her cheek. “Yes, of course, darling.”
“Sophie?”
Benedict and Sophie blinked at the two of them.
“Uh… yes a white wine sounds fantastic. Thank you, Tom.”
Tom nodded and headed off to the bar. Sophie elbowed Benedict in the ribs. He shuffled to his feet.
“Tom, let me help you with that!” He called after his friend.
Sophie waited until both men were out of earshot.
“How did you… I don’t want to know. You’re not like Tom’s other girlfriends, Miss Vivian Swann.”
She smiled. “I’m not sure if that is a compliment or an insult. So I will say thank you.”
“Definitely a compliment. There is something different about Tom when he is around you. He seems…”
“… happy?”
“Yes, but the word is content.” Sophie added. “Content, at peace. After that last nasty breakup, the man could use a little peace and quiet.”
“Hopefully not too quiet.” Vivian smirked.
“Are you two gossiping about us?” Benedict teased.
“I was just telling Vivian how happy and content our dear Thomas looks with her.” Sophie quipped.
Tom blushed as Vivian smiled and reached out to rub his neck. “I am. Thank you for noticing Sophie.”
-
The evening wound down. Tom for once enjoyed the event. Vivian won over Benedict and Sophie, so much so that Sophie invited her to go shopping tomorrow afternoon while she wrangled Benedict and Tom in tearing down a shed in Ben’s yard.
“Leave them to grunt work while we shop.”
“I would love to.” Vivian sipped at her wine.
The two couples said goodbye while waiting for the valet. Benedict hugged Vivian tight and kissed her cheek. While Sophie and her exchanged numbers. Benedict pulled Tom to the side.
“There’s something different about you, man.”
“I don’t know what you are talking about. I’m still me.” He shrugged his shoulders.
“No,” Ben folded his hands in front of his face. “there is definitely a change. And I think it has something to do with that enchanting woman over there, who I am sure is being tortured with baby pictures by my wife.”
“Perhaps.” Tom replied cryptically.
“Don’t fuck it up man. You will never find another girl…”
“Woman.” he corrected his friend.
“… Woman like her. You deserved a little happiness.”
“Tom?” Vivian placed her hand on his back. “The car’s here.”
“Of course. Ben.” He shook his friend’s hand and then hugged Sophie before opening the door for Vivian and then getting in and driving off.
-
“I’m going to head home.” Vivian stated when they got back to Tom’s home.
“Okay. I had a lot of fun tonight. It wasn’t nearly as dreadful with you there.”
“Your friends are a delight. They really do want the best for you, sunshine.”
Tom smiled at the name. “Yes, ma’am.” He fell back into the old pattern.
She grabbed the back of his head and tugged him into a kiss. Tom wrapped his arms around her and did his best to hold her tight. She pulled away, and he whined.
“I’m ready to take this to the next step, Vivian. I want to please you.” His hands ghosted over his shoulders. “In all ways.”
She smiled. “Send me the essay and we will talk. How about lunch tomorrow?”
“I will send it as soon as I step inside. I could cook you lunch here.”
“I would like that, sunshine.” She kissed him one more time. “Sleep well.”
“Yes, ma’am. You too.”
She smiled and walked to her car to head home. Tom stepped inside and rushed to his computer. He did a quick spell check on the essay he had been tweaking over the last week and clicked send.
“There.”
Vivian laughed as her phone beeped before she even left Tom’s driveway, knowing it was Tom’s homework.
“So eager. I like that.”

Person A catches a bus home everyday, but today, they're so exhausted that they fall asleep, suddely they feel a light tap on their shoulder and open their eyes to see a cute guy/gal/person smiling at them. "Sorry to wake you, bit this is your stop, i hope you slept well"
So, this is the first piece I have written and posted here! This is a fluffy drabble loosely based on the prompt above as well as some tik tok ideas i've seen. I hope you enjoy and don't judge too hard :)
~~~~~~
Aelin never knew that she could feel such a wide range of emotions in such a short amount of time. The hectic events she had endured earlier in her day had left her drained and in dire need of sleep.
She started out her mornings as usual - brewing her coffee with the help of an overly excited Fleetfoot. On the subway ride to work, coffee in hand, she explicitly remembered checking her emails for any important notices regarding her job. As an advertising agent, she dealt with multiple clients at one time. With her meticulously organized calendar and the help of her overworked assistant Marion, she was usually able to keep everything in check. Today was not one of those days.
As she entered her office, Marion greeted her with her tablet in hand- Aelin’s schedule color coded, labeled and sorted by hour.
 “Good morning Ms. Galathynius, ready to hear your schedule for today?” Aelin nodded, sipping her coffee as Marion listed her client meetings for the upcoming day. As they entered her office, Aelin paused.
“Marion, could you please repeat that first meeting  again?”
“The Havilliard Scotch pitch at 12?” And that was when Aelin knew she was fucked. This pitch was meant for a well known drinking company in New York, fast on the come up. Havilliard Sr. was known to be picky about his branding, scrutinizing most agencies that had helped him before. She had barely gotten this client, practically begging Nehemia for the job. As she worked the branding, she had become worried about the content she was producing.
She was so worried about this pitch, that she had taken her laptop home last night in hopes of triple checking her work for mistakes and to fine tune some details. And that's where her laptop was at that moment. At her apartment, across town, sitting on her desk, collecting dust. Her mind raced at how to solve her predicament. The subway ride to and from her apartment was too long of a trip to make before the meeting and, like an amateur, she hadn’t saved her files anywhere else but her laptop. She was completely fucked.
Marion stood in the doorway, confused on what was going on in Aelin’s head. Aelin decided to finally release herself from her stupor. “Marion, could you please go find Aedion for me? And tell him it’s an emergency.”
With a determined look on her face, her assistant went as fast as her short legs could carry her to Aedion’s office on the adjacent part of the building floor she was on. Within minutes, Aedion was standing at her door, panting like he had just sprinted the fastest race of his life. The good thing about having her overbearing cousin work with her, is that she knew that in any problem he would help in an instant. And this was one hell of a fucking problem.
“What happened Aelin? Are you okay? Were you hurt? Do you need an ambulance?”
“You idiot I am physically fine, but still screwed and I need your help.” Aedion released the first breath Aelin had seen him take since entering her office.
“You know, when Marion power walked into my office saying you had an EMERGENCY and she didn’t know what was wrong with you, I definitely thought you would be passed out on your floor with blood on your face. But, you know, thanks for the heart attack. Really woke me up this morning.”
Aelin rolled her eyes at him. He was more dramatic than her, and that spoke volumes in itself.
“Aedion, please it really is an emergency. I have the big pitch for the Havilliard Scotch today and I left my laptop with the presentation at my apartment.” Aedion’s eyes widened in surprise. He knew that Aelin had been obsessed about this pitch and that mistakes like this only happened to her once in a blue moon. Aelin saw understanding dawn on his face and took that as a sign to continue.
“Now, I know a while back I sent you the rough drafts of the branding from when I first got the pitch. Is there any chance that you have the email or presentation saved still? If I have the basis of the presentation, I have an hour to build on it and hopefully fix this.”
Aedion’s face fell at the request. “We can go look, but you know I’m not the best at organizing my files Ace. It could be anywhere on my computer or not at all.” With those reaffirming words, Aelin and Aedion walked at a brisk pace back to his office. Combing through Aedion’s computer was an agonizing process. There were files saved from years ago that should’ve been deleted, and backtracking through all the contents of his computer made Aelin want to stab her eyes out. But it was all worth it, because hidden in the depths of this man’s terribly organized computer was the presentation. With a quick click of a button, she emailed the document to herself. She gave a half ass hug to Aedion, then practically ran to her office to start reworking her pitch on the computer there.
--
Aelin believed it was pure adrenaline that enabled her to finish her pitch in time for the Havilliard meeting. With a strong foundation laid out before her from her first draft, she had constructed almost her exact pitch that was left at home. Aelin waited for the Havilliards in the boardroom, smoothing out her clothes as she paced at the front. Far too soon, Marion escorted Havilliard Sr., Dorian Havilliard, and their close friend and partner Chaol Westfall into the room for her presentation. The three men had sat down in silence with no introduction, except for a small encouraging smile from the younger Havilliard. Taking that as her sign to start, Aelin cleared her throat.
“Hello gentlemen, today I want to present to you the future of Havilliard Scotch…”
---
As the men had exited the room single file, Aelin finally allowed herself to relax. That had felt like the longest pitch of her life. Going into the meeting, she had known the men were notorious for being extremely serious and critical of their agents. What she had not expected was the whispered words between the men after she had finished her presentation. As she looked on, Dorian Havilliard had finally broken away from their circle to address her.
“Miss Galathynius, thank you for your time. We will get back to you shortly about our decision to run with this branding or not.” With a quick nod and gesture to his companions, the trio had stood up and left the room. She was utterly shocked. Aelin had poured her sweat and tears into this pitch, quite literally, and they had just thanked her and left. No critiques, no opinions, no nothing.
Quite honestly, Aelin was exhausted. She had spent most of her brain power reworking that pitch in that 45 minutes before that meeting and she had nothing left to give today. Yet, she still had a full schedule left to woo clients and work on her other projects. By the time Aelin trudged back to the subway, she was ready for a nice dinner at home followed by a restorative night of sleep with Fleetfoot at her side.
Now, as she entered the subway, she immediately noticed the mystery man sitting down a few feet away from her. The man was moderately built, with muscles that were outlined by the fabric of his long sleeve t-shirt. His style was simple with a pair of nice jeans and Doc Marten boots, but that just allowed one's focus to settle on the beautiful creation that was his face. Mystery man had a strong jawline, lined with a bit of stubble and scruff. His eyes were a beautiful shade of green like none that she had seen before, his head topped with luscious silver hair. As the subway started, Mystery Man continued to sketch drawings into his book. Now, Aelin was never one to back  down from an opportunity to flirt with one of the most attractive men she had ever seen. She was a single woman in a big city, why the hell not. But her day had taken a toll on her, and she just didn’t know if this was the right time or place. So, she opted to put in her headphones as she waited for her stop, listening to relaxing music to calm her anxieties regarding the failed Havilliard pitch.
 Seeing that her stop was next, Aelin rose from her seat to wait in line for the doors to open. As she waited, she felt a light tap on her shoulder. Low and behold, there was the Mystery Man standing next to her with a piece of paper in hand. As she pulled her headphone out, the man silently handed her the paper. Looking down, she saw a pencil sketch of herself on the subway. The drawing was beautifully done with bold lines and harsh shading, contrasted by highlights created from the fluorescent lights of the subway. Her eyes welled up, immediately grateful for this thoughtful gift after such a horrible day. The Mystery Man saw her emotions, startled to see tears welling up in her eyes.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to intrude on your privacy. I just… I like to draw and when I saw you… I mean, it’s just you’re so stunning..” The man’s face flushed red as he tried to justify his beautiful art. Aelin laughed out loud for the first time today at his misunderstanding of her swell of emotions.
“Oh no, these are just tears of..uhmm.. happiness? I guess…” She started to flush at her own awkwardness, trying to explain her emotions this time.
“I just had a really rough day and feel like shit. But this drawing is beautiful and I really am grateful that such a talented artist like yourself chose me as your muse today.” Aelin watched as the Mystery Man reacted to such a lavish compliment, somehow developing an even deeper blush with a shy smile . Gaining confidence from his reaction, she decided to make her move before she exited for her upcoming stop.
“Hey, Mystery Man, why don’t I give you my number? Seeing that I am your muse and all, I would really like to learn more about your art.” It was a subpar pickup line at best, but hey, she had a long day and for the circumstance she thought it good enough. The man gave a deep timbered laugh at her pickup line, clearly enjoying their conversation now.
“I think I might be one step ahead of you actually. Flip the drawing over.” As she flipped the paper, she saw a messy scrawl with the name Rowan, and what she could only assume was his number. The sight of these two things brought her complete giddiness. Giddiness that made you want to jump in the air and pump your fist because you're so excited. She looked up at Rowan, smirking as she tucked the piece of paper into her purse.
As the subway doors opened and they were pushed apart by bypassers, she turned around one last time to look at the man who had brightened her day beyond belief. She winked at Rowan as she walked away, not missing the wide smile he gave in return as the subway doors closed and continued on to the next stop.
Rough Draft Dump
2021.08.17
I feel like I should be putting more original content on this tumblr... As the title says, these are just bits of writing I thought I’d turn into a story/a scene I wanted to include but just didn’t work. It’s unedited and rough, but hopefully still entertaining...
Info: Breach/Sova, 1.5k words, introspection, Breach’s POV, some explicit language (like one word...)
.
There are days where he can’t stop it. The bubbling heat under his skin, the squeeze of his heart, the sick need to punch something, hit something, feel some kind of pain so that maybe – just maybe – he could go back to being happy. Or if not happy, at peace.
Normally, it was a little easier for him to control it. The jobs he used to take, breaking down doors, cracking safes, bringing in more riches than he could’ve ever dreamed of as a child, while dangerous, they helped him channel his anger into the destruction he left behind. And while those jobs weighed on his heart sometimes in the darkest of nights, right before the sun rose, they made him happy. Or at least they took away the anger and allowed him to feel anything else. He didn’t know if he’d ever felt actual happiness until he met Raze.
She was a ray of light piercing through the storm clouds that fueled his anger. She brought with her laughter, a carefree feeling, and the knowledge that he had someone on his side, no matter what. It was a change that he welcomed slowly. The people he worked with were the opposite, and he knew he had to watch himself. If he got stuck, made a mistake, or in trouble, he was on his own until Raze stopped for him. She came back and kept him moving when she could’ve just as easily left him and moved up in their world by herself.
And yet, none of that even compared to when Sova smiled at him. The ease with which Breach fell into the comfort of sleeping next to another body without worrying about being able to wake up in the morning was frighteningly fast. The soft touches with no expectation behind them lulled him into some version of security that he had never felt in his life until the nights spent side by side with the Russian, praying that death would be staved off for the next days, next missions, for both of them. If Raze was an angel, lifting him up from the crashing waves, Sova was the god, radiating enough warmth and love to push back the crawling tendrils of anger and hate.
So why – why – was he feeling this again?
He didn’t even want to find Sova. Right, because he was pissed off at his love. Just thinking of how it normally was almost made him forget the bitter feelings swirling in his lungs and begging to be screamed out.
Sova had been sent on a mission without Breach which was a normal occurrence. Brim didn’t often feel a need to send them together, but recently, even when he did, he tried not to. This was all Breach’s fault, sure, but it still stung whenever he saw Sova suiting up for yet another mission and he could only wait for his return. It stung more when Sova’s first action after returning wasn’t finding Breach in a room and subtly, or sometimes not so subtly, let him know that he missed him, and that Sova would find him the moment he could. Instead, when Breach walked past the lounge on the way from his room to go and hunt down Cypher and shove the little bug back into the body that placed it, he saw Sova there, sitting quite peacefully with Sage tucked under his arm and drawing little circles on her arm. Sova didn’t even seem uncomfortable, even though it took Breach multiple nights before he was allowed to kiss him.
A knock came at his door, and he was pretty sure he knew who it was. Still, he fought against the urge to jump out of his bed and answer it. Plus, if it was actually Sova, he had his own key to the door.
Sure enough, after a long period silence that almost lulls Breach to sleep, the door creaked open. When Breach woke up, knowing who was now quietly making their way over to his bed, taking a seat right at the edge, there was no more of that anger. Instead, just an empty feeling. It was like he could remember the buzz of the fury in him, could feel where he wasn’t right, but it was gone. Almost like Sova’s very aura could drive that anger away even when it was directed at him.
“I’m sorry for waking you.”
He felt the warm hands wrap around his, and how they slid up his arms to carefully run through his hair. Breach didn’t react though. It took more energy to keep his head on the pillow that it would’ve leaning into the touch.
“I’m not in the mood tonight, Sova,” he said, realizing just how tired he sounded. The hands removed themselves and Sova made a noise in agreement.
“Would you like to come to my room though? We don’t have to do anything. We can just sleep. I missed you.”
Did you really? Not that Breach would actually ask. But if he denied this request, it would be quite obvious that he had some problem with Sova. He silently cursed himself for the one night he poured his thoughts out to Sova who he thought was asleep. One of thoughts was about how he slept better squished into Sova’s bed than he ever did even when he had the best mattress he could afford.
“Tonight’s not a great night for me.”
The glow of the artificial eye was focused on him, and the dim light gave him a view of Sova’s frown as the other man studied him.
“Is it because of Sage at the debriefing today?”
Breach tensed, knowing that was probably enough for Sova to read him. Sova was attentive to everything, his hunts, the activities around him, and of course, Breach. And it didn’t help that even Breach knew that he was acting like some petulant child, trying to give a cold shoulder when all he wanted was attention.
The bed shifted as Sova sat back down next to him. This time, the touches felt scared, as if he thought Breach would retaliate. And even though the thought went through his head earlier in the day, it was gone now. Eventually, with the soft nudging of Sova’s arms and body, Breach found himself on his back, hands on Sova’s thighs as the other man straddled him. There was no heat to the touches though, and if anything, it was comforting. At some point, Sova leaned over him, and Breach could feel his shirt tickling his nose. Just seconds later, he heard a click and the soft light from his desk lamp illuminated the abs hovering over him.
Sova sat back on Breach and gave him a concerned look, brows slightly furrowed, and mouth set in a soft frown. “I’m sorry, Breach.” And really, the sincerity behind the words was enough to make him squirm a little with discomfort. He never did get used to Sova’s genuine nature. He loved the compliments, sure, because they fed his ego, but phrases like this were different. It felt too emotional, too deeply connected, and just too much.
Breach looked away, appreciating that Sova was still with him and dealing with this silent tantrum he was throwing. The little touches to his cheek were more than welcome.
“Give me one night alone, Sova.”
“I will,” Sova nodded, taking one good look at Breach before sliding off. “I just wanted you to look at me when I tell you that I…”
There’s no way. Neither of them has said it yet, and Sova was too romantic to want to say it while Breach was kind of pissed at him.
“I really do care about you. I would do anything for you, and I would do anything you asked me to. If you asked me to jump, I’d ask how high. If you asked me to swim, I’d as how deep. My feelings towards you cannot change so easily.”
And with that, he turned off the lamp and stood to walk out. Breach didn’t even register that he held onto his hand, stopping Sova from walking too far away.
“What is it?” the soft voice whispered in the darkness.
He really has to get in the habit of thinking before doing these things.
“I know you wouldn’t change. Not that fast, and not without reason. I just missed you too.” The words taste dry on the way out, but he really did mean it. Breach just wasn’t used to saying anything this sappy back to Sova. “Plus, you wouldn’t dare move on from me, or should I say my cock.” There it was. The mildly insulting teasing put Breach at ease, and from the soft exhale from Sova, he could assume that the other man was smiling too.
“I’ll take my leave then,” Sova murmured. “Come find me when you’re ready.”
Somewhere inside of him, he knew he had two choices: he could either go with Sova to his room now, or he could wait for a few minutes to stew in the loneliness while replaying Sova’s words over and over again before giving up and going to his room. At least if he went now, he might be able to convince Sova to go a couple rounds with him.
“Give me a second to find clothes for tomorrow.”
All I Want... 25 Days of Christmas Challenge, Day 13
Tumblr media
A/N: Yes, this is another update since I fell behind. ENJOY!!! Back to our regularly scheduled program later this evening.
December 6th
DeeDee swore off going out with her friends for a while. Phyllis was getting on her nerves and Beverly could only do so much. DeeDee didn’t even understand the hostility that was coming from her best friend. And now was not the time for her to be stressed out by shit she couldn’t control, like her best friend’s actions and reactions. So, it was time for a break and to focus on more important things, like her defense presentation.
She had chosen her PowerPoint background weeks ago. She drafted her presentation outline weeks ago. But she hadn’t yet put any of it together, even with all the time she spent in the library. Then again, the last time she was studying there, she found Erik’s note.
“Oh crap,” DeeDee grabbed her phone off the charger and saw multiple messages from him.
Prince Erik: Good morning Miss DeeDee
Prince Erik: I hope you have a good day and get some rest. You definitely need it. 😘
Prince Erik: Good night DeeDee
Prince Erik: Enjoy your day Miss DeeDee
Including a voice message, “Damn.”
VM: Sleeping Beauty
Do you know that you talk in your sleep? I learned quite a bit from you when you fell asleep mid-sentence last night.
Don’t worry, I won’t hold any of it against you...unless that is what you really want. Then what the lady wants, the lady gets.
I won’t tell you how long I stayed on the phone after you knocked out, but I’m sure that your phone probably died after I ended the call.
Whenever you get up, hit me up. I have some questions for you, pretty lady.
Later
After that eventful night out with Beverly and Phyllis, all she remembered was drunk dialing him, him answering the phone and then nothing else until she woke up late the next afternoon with a dead phone. She put it on the charger, but never checked any of her alerts and went right back to sleep until this morning.
DeeDee picked up her phone and went to her recording app. She didn’t want to flood his phone responding to his texts. And since he usually worked on weekends, she decided to send him a voice message instead.
She walked over to her patio door, opened the curtains and sat down at her desk. DeeDee opened up her laptop and pulled up all the documents she would need. It was time to get to work. Less than 2 weeks until D-Day.
---
Erik looked down at his phone for the umpteenth time that day and then walked the floor. It was weird, he hadn’t heard anything from DeeDee since he hung up on her Friday night. She was gone gone and yet, she still tried to talk to him. A sleepy drunk. He thought it was cute but he knew that hangover was gonna be a killer.
He hoped that she was ok. He still sent his usual text messages but he also sent a voice one because she said somethings that had him thinking. And it is said that ‘a drunk mouth speaks a sober mind.’ If that holds true, DeeDee laid herself bare in the most beautiful way, and yet she may not remember any of it. What a shame.
Erik moved to stand by the window of his office, while DeeDee’s words took up residence in his mind. He stopped focusing on his weekly reports an hour ago. His impression of DeeDee and the reality that each day his feelings about her being the one for him became stronger and stronger, cradled her very words to him from the night before.
A loud buzzing sound against his wooden desk, halted his wayward thoughts. He walked over and picked it up. It was a voice message from DeeDee. He unlocked his phone and opened it.
VM: Greetings From Louisiana
Good morning Erik,
I can’t believe you let me go to sleep on you the other night and didn’t say anything. Anyways, since I have no recollection of what I said, take it with a grain of salt. Please and thank you.
Sorry for not responding to anything yesterday. I just slept the day away in recovery. Nothing stronger than wine for me for a while.
I do hope you are free to talk tonight. I may not have much time over the next week or so as I prepare my final presentation for my dissertation. But I really enjoy talking to you and don’t want to miss out.
I’m probably rambling again. So, yeah. Just let me know if you have time and we can go from there.
Byeeee
Her voice always brought a smile to his face. He logged off his computer, grabbed his briefcase and locked up his office. He would have stayed there if she called, but since she didn’t, it gave him the perfect out. He could work from home and still talk to her until she needed to go.
---
DeeDee had just finished putting her talking points into her presentation file, when her cell phone rang. Erik. He must have gotten her message. She saved the file and opened the application.
“Hi Mr. Erik.”
“Hello Miss DeeDee.”
“I missed hearing that.” She said shyly.
“Oh, you did? Could have fooled me.”
“Don’t do that.”
“Do what? I’m not the one who said hi, some other stuff and then passed the hell out on the phone.” He shrugged even though she couldn’t see it. “I mean, I know I can put you to sleep, but that is not how I would do it.”
“You know what?” She started to laugh.
“What?”
“I can’t stand you.”
“Uh huh.” His voice was calm. “Lie again Miss DeeDee.”
“I’m not. I mean it.” DeeDee stomped her foot on the floor.
Erik laughed, “If you say so. But I think you feel differently about me.”
“Sir, remember I do not know what I said. I don’t remember anything after calling you.”
“And slurring my name?”
DeeDee groans, “So, that did happen?”
“Heeeeeeey Erik,” he mimicked her tone.
“Oh my god.”
“It was cute though. It lets me know you were thinking of me even when you were completely out of it.”
“I promised to call you when I got home.”
He paused, “You know what, you did honor my request to hear from you to let me know that you made it home safely.”
“Exactly.”
“So, it seemed like you had a very fun evening.”
“Nah, I wouldn’t say that.” DeeDee sighed, “One of my best friends who seemed excited for me to look for you, is now acting really funny towards me and I don’t understand it.”
“Funny how?”
“Well, can I share something with you?”
“DeeDee, you know you don’t have to ask that. If you want to tell me anything, I will listen.”
“Thanks E.” She curled her legs under her in the desk chair. “Remember how I said that I knew my career would take me away? You know traveling and experiencing the world and such.”
“Yeah.”
“Well, I haven’t told anyone that I have applied for tenure-track positions far away from Louisiana.” She exhaled deeply. “I got upset when she said that I would never leave here, among other things. But at that same time, it hit me that I never told them that I wanted to leave. So, they have just always assumed I would be around for whatever.”
“I see. So, what about your other friend who was with you both.”
“Oh, she’s fine. They both want me to live life, but she is the only one who appears to really support it. So, I know she will be fine when and if I do leave.”
“You mean, when you leave.”
“From your lips, to God’s ears. I have gone through many interviews, but the waiting game is a lot for me to deal with.”
“I understand that. But just focus on your defense. The full-time position will come.”
“I know, and besides, there is always a postdoctoral fellowship too. And those look great on CVs.”
“Exactly. You can apply for one of those and work at another school until you find the school that fits you.”
“Yeah, that’s true. But Dr. O and Dr. Bell both think that I don’t have to worry and will get an offer my first time out.”
“I believe that, too. You are a bright woman, DeeDee. Any school would be lucky to have you.”
“Thank you, Erik.”
“You’re welcome.” Erik took a deep breath, “Speaking of Dr. Bell. I will be at her retirement party in a few weeks.”
“Really?” DeeDee squeaked into the phone, “I am so sorry that I keep yelling in your ear like that.”
“It’s ok. I knew to pull it away this time.”
“So, what does that mean?”
“Well, I was hoping that we could meet and you let me take you out while I’m in town. What do you say?”
“I would love that.”
“Good, so it’s a date?”
“It’s a date.” DeeDee giggled.
You Need To Back Up-Domestic!Kylo Ren Imagine
Tumblr media
Me: Why is my fic not getting any notes?
Also me: *Didn’t upload, just saved as a draft*
Request:
Anonymous said: “Wouldn’t you like to know” was pure perfection and the way you wrote kylo *chef kisses* I need more dramatic puppy ren please I’m begging you 🥺 can I request kylo x reader bickering throughout the day? If that makes sense? Like couples squabbling?
Word Count: 1,539
Trigger Warnings: Swearing possibly? Sexual innuendos.
A/N: First of all, thank you for your chef kisses. That’s the best compliment I have ever gotten on a piece of my writing bhahah. Here you go, anon. I hope you like reading it as much as I liked writing it. I wish I could write this forever. I had more things in mind for them to squabble over. I might make a babble out of it.
-------
I woke up knowing that he was home for the day. It was a nice change for once, having him there.
We made breakfast together, took a shower together, had a clean laundry fight, and eventually started a movie. I set it up as he made the snacks. I laughed while I watched the large man carry in two bowls of popcorn, multiple bags of chips, and a bag of loose sweets into the living room.
“Bring anything for me?” I teased, pausing the movie so that he wouldn’t miss anything.
“Nope, and I am not sharing,” he went along with the joke as he placed the snacks on the table and gently pulled me into his side to cuddle comfortably as we took a moment to get comfortable. Once settled, I turned the movie on and rested my head against his chest.
“Can I see the remote?” Kylo reached his arm over in the direction of the remote control in a failed attempt to grab it. I leaned over and held it up for him to take before he paused the movie and turned the subtitles off.
“Woah, what are you doing?”
“Turning off the subtitles. I can’t concentrate on the movie,”
“I like the subtitles, they help me understand the content better,”
“You can’t hear it?”
“That’s not what I said,” I reached for the remote and grunted as he stretched his arm up so that I couldn’t reach it.
“If you can’t hear, we’ll turn it up,” Kylo turned the TV up and pressed play.
“No, now it’s too loud!”
“You really need the subtitles?”
“Yes! How do you not know this already?” I spun my body in a way that allowed me to grab the remote and turn the TV down.
“We never really have time to watch movies together, I guess. Fine, turn them on,”
His voice never raised, his tone remained clear and concise, and he didn’t say anything in a way that made me feel badly.
“Thank you,” I turned the subtitles back on and got comfortable once more to watch the movie.
Kylo ran his hands through my hair and I rubbed mindless circles on his stomach. We didn’t get days like this very often, in fact, the last time he and I had a day to do nothing was before he killed Snoke.
His hands continued to run though my hair and I could feel the heaviness of my eyelids getting stronger. Before I knew it, I woke up tucked into the blanket on the couch with Kylo watching a new movie, sans subtitles.
I stretched a little bit and looked up to him. “Hey, sorry I fell asleep..” I yawned and stood up to see all of the wrappers from the candies and the crumbs from the snacks. I laughed a little and grabbed them by the handful.
“You’re a mess,” I teased as I walked into the kitchen to empty the contents of my hands.
“I was going to clean those up, I didn’t want to wake you-”
“No it’s fine. I was up.”
“You didn’t have to do that.”
“I was joking when I called you a mess, I’m sorry if you took it personally,” I turned to look at him and tilted my head a little.
“No, I don’t take it personally I just - I don’t want you to think that you have to clean up after me,”
“Kylo, my sweet sweet Supreme Leader, I’ve been picking up after you for two years.” I smiled a little, but he didn’t find it very funny. He looked away before turning off the TV and sitting back on the couch.
“I’m not that big of a burden-” I cut him off before his temper rose and he began to jump to extreme conclusions.
“You are not a burden, I was just joking, I’m sorry if it was insensitive.” I walked back over to behind the couch where he was sitting and rubbed his shoulders a bit before kissing the top of his head.
“It’s fine, let’s just drop it.” He put his hand over mine and looked up so that we were looking at one another.
“What do you wanna do? It’s your first time having a day off in, goodness I don’t know how long,”
Kylo shrugged his shoulders. “I just wanna stay in, even the thought of going out right now is making my head hurt.”
I smirked a little and nodded, knowing that he would never voluntarily go out into public only to be surrounded by people. Kylo’s patience was thinner than anyone’s I’d ever met. To test it was to set yourself up for a long night.
“I like the sound of that.”
“Why don’t we get some organizing done? I honestly think I’ll lose my mind if I just sit here all day and do nothing,” Kylo stood up slowly and picked up some of his snacks and drinks to bring to the kitchen. I shrugged and looked around the home. It looked pretty organized to me, but who was I to oppose to the idea of mindless housework with my favorite being in the galaxy?
We started in the bedroom. We cleaned up after our clean laundry fight from that morning, organized our closet, changed our sheets, and went through our clothes that we haven’t worn in months. It didn’t take long before moved into the bathroom and then the kitchen. I sat on the ground while I browsed through the contents of our pantry.
“When is the last time we went through this stuff?” Kylo asked as he went through the fridge and freezer.
“The last time I went to the market...” I paused a moment and looked at the pantry’s contents and started to group them into different categories of foods. Cans of vegetables, chips, granola, pasta, cans of sauce, and things along those lines.
“When was that?” His voice was a little sharp, poking me in the side slightly.
“Like, last week. Why what’s wrong?”
“Half of these things are about to expire, Y/N.” He was placing frozen foods on the counter top, not even looking at me.
“Okay? That’s why we cook them before they expire,”
“We surely can’t cook all of this before the end of this week.”
“End of this week? What gave you that idea?” I put down the can of beans as I stood up and walked over to inspect the unworthy food items on the counter.
“That’s when you’ll be shopping next, no?”
“Yes, but we can still cook these things before they go bad, Kylo. Why are you putting these on the counter? They’re fine. They haven’t even been opened yet.” I grabbed the bags of frozen fruit we used for breakfasts and desserts.
“We can’t use them, we have to throw them away.”
“That isn’t how that works, oh my Force.” I gathered the bags on the counter and went to place them in the freezer.
“What- stop that. What are you doing?”
“I’m putting them back! They will go bad if we let them thaw out,” I shoved the items back on the shelf as I squeezed myself between Kylo and the fridge.
“Y/N, I love you but you need to back up.” Kylo took them back out of the freezer, ticking me off a little bit. “Are you seriously getting upset?”
I locked my jaw to contain myself before I shook my head. “No...” I lied.
“I sense it. You’re getting angry. I just want us to have fresh food, Y/N.”
I took a deep breath and sighed. “I know that, but there’s no need to throw out food that is frozen and is absolutely fine to consume.
We faced each other, each of us holding up our frozen food item. The staring contest lasted all of a minute before I watched him slowly put the food back in the freezer.
“Thank you.” I set the contents of my hand onto the counter beside the rest of the poor unwanted food before I walked over to the pantry again and finished up my project. I soon heard the freezer door shut and Kylo speak.
“I’m done organizing.”
I took a look around the pantry and moved a few things around before replying, “Me too.”
“No, I mean forever,” Kylo then sat in his usual spot at the dinner table.
I closed the door to the pantry and turned to face him. “Forever?”
He replied with a nod, not looking at me. I held in my giggle as I walked over to him and sat on his lap, wrapping my arms around him.
“Well, we got through three rooms...” I paused as I rested my head on his shoulder.
“Yea.. but we can never do that ever again,”
I looked up at him and smirked, “well, not together at least.”
The chuckle that escaped him let me know that he was over any kind of tension there may have been over the frozen fruit.
“I can think of something else that we can do together,” he said softly, somehow not losing any depth to his voice, as he kissed the side of my face.
“Lead the way, Supreme Leader...”
Too Late | Epilogue (Fluff)
Tumblr media
anon request: Hi there, love your writing! Javier Pena request, angst list 15 and 18? maybe the reader and Javier have a terrible fight and the next day Escobar’s men try to kill her because of her connection to Javier and Javi finds her almost dead/maybe she dies? thanks!
Fluffy Epilogue to this
prompts (If you would like to request a prompt, please include the name of the list and the number of the prompts)
11. Can I kiss you right now? (Love list)
27. I want/wanted to protect you (Love list)
Javier sat at his desk, tired eyes wondering over yet another mission report he had drafted. Things were starting to amp up in the fight against Escobar. With the downfall of Gacha, the DEA seemed to be closer and closer to taking him down.
‘Psst.’
He looked up in time as a manilla envelope was dropped right in front of him on his desk. He glanced towards Steve as he made his way back around to his side, dropping down into his seat.
Javier barely glanced around at his coworkers before hurriedly ripping open the envelope, scattering the contents out before him.
Multiple photos of you stared up at him, whether it was at the market, walking in the park, near a restaurant, there was a few of them. It had been months since he had last seen you. The very last being while you were unconscious, where he had promised himself he wouldn’t see you anymore.
He looked back towards Steve as he lit a cigarette, ‘You’ve seen her? How is she?’
‘Connie has. She’s good, been asking about you a lot recently.’
He sighed, taking up the photograph again. Javier noticed how your cuts and bruises had healed over nicely and how you had gained back all the weight you had lost. However the dullness in your eyes did not go unnoticed to him.
‘Just go and see her man, it’s been nearly a year!’
‘I don’t want-’
‘You don’t want her to get hurt, I know,’ Steve muttered, coming around to sit on the edge of Javier’s desk, ‘but Connie and I wouldn’t have made it this far if we worried as much as you did.’
Javier stood instantly, shaking his head as he began to grab his gun, only for his partner to grab his arm.
‘Javi please, I can tell how much you love this woman. Don’t destroy what you have by would could happen.’
With a pat to his shoulder, Steve went back to his work. Javier sighed, looking around at office before staring down at the jotted down address on the side of the folder.
Tumblr media
You gasped as a knock echoed through your apartment, pressing the back of your hand to your mouth, trying to control the intense trembling that overcame your body.
It had nearly been a year since Gacha had sent his men after you, and what a year it had been. The DEA had put you under strict protective protocols, changed where you lived, everything. Very few people even knew you were alive still, apart from a few head DEA agents, Steve and Connie … and perhaps Javier.
You stood to your feet slowly, groaning as your bones croaked before going over to the door. But not before grabbing the pistol had brought and left for you, having taught you how to use it in one of the open fields outside of the city.
Keeping it behind your back, you slowly slid the door open, only for you to let it go once you realised who stood upon the threshold of your home.
Javier Peña stood there, hands on his hips, wearing that worn out jacket, a tight white button up and jeans, aviators sitting up on his head. His deep brown eyes met your own, locked in silence as you took each other in.
He decided to step forward, carefully watching you as he entered your home without a word. It took a moment for you to realise he had pushed past before closing the door.
You followed him into the living room where he looked around. There wasn’t much. Simple furniture place around the area, a few photographs hung on the wall. One particularly catching his attention, one that you both had taken on your 35mm film camera in your apartment, cuddled together on the couch.
He turned back to you. You still looked so beautiful, and yet so fragile, noticing instantly how your hands shook, particularly the one holding the pistol at your side.
Javier chuckled. ‘Were you going to shoot me?’
You frowned for a moment, only to remember the cold metal pressed to your hand before tossing it on the couch, as if it had just burned you. You looked back towards him, pulling the sweater more tightly around you, ‘Why are you here?’
‘I came here to see you—’
‘You didn’t bother to check on me when I woke up from a coma—‘
‘I wanted to protect you—’
‘By breaking my heart?!’
Javier froze not only as you raised your voice, but at your words. You nodded sadly, ‘Yeah, Steve told me what you did … and why you did it …’
He ran a hand through his hair, tugging on it as he growled, ‘I’m going to fucking kill him—’
‘Don’t bring him into this I made him tell me!’ You cried, stepping forward, ‘More importantly what gave you the idea that making me see you with another woman would protect me?!’
‘Y/N—’
‘NO! How did you think that would protect me Javier?! I really would like to know!’
‘I needed you to stop loving me!’ He said, looking you dead in the eye, ‘I loved you too much to let you go s-so I had to hurt you!’
You shook your head slowly, the anger that you held in now seeping into your bones, ‘You idiot … YOU FUCKING IDIOT!’
You shoved him with all your might, slamming your fists against his chest, and he took it, all while watching you sadly. ‘You didn’t care to think about what I wanted?! I wanted you Javier! Even if it meant putting my life at risk to be with you because I love you!’
Javier’s eyes filled with tears as he stared down at you, who gripped his shirt in your grasp as you sobbed, finally slackening against him. He held you in his arms, gently and carefully, he didn’t want to overwhelm you.
‘Why did you leave me Javier? I needed you and you left me!’ At your words he couldn’t help but let his tears fall, cradling your head to his chest as you cried softly, your arms slowly wrapping around his waist, holding him tightly.
‘I love you too,’ he whimpered softly, running his fingers through your hair, his lips pressed to your temple, ‘I love you too novia, and I-I’m so so sorry I couldn’t protect you from Gacha.’
You trembled against him, shaking your head, ‘It wasn’t your fault Javier …’
Slowly, you looked up towards him as he held your face in his hands, wiping away the tears that remained below your eyes. He sighed softly, pressing his forehead to yours, ‘Can I kiss you right now … please?’
You were sure he whispered it, only for you to hear, a moment shared between the two of you and the silence that eclipsed the room. You still held anger within. You wanted to scream at him, to tell him to leave and never see you again. But you couldn’t, you had been hoping, no, waiting for him to come for far too long.
You nodded.
He leant down, his nose caressing yours, breath dancing along your lips. You gasped as Javier kissed you, cradling your cheeks. Your hands slowly trailed up his chest, taking in his touch, his scent, his taste.
The second kiss was firmer, desperate, your arm travelling around his neck while the other pressed against his cheek. His roamed your body, desperately memorising the details he missed before coming to rest at your hips, tugging you closer so that you had to climb onto your tip toes to reach his lips.
There was a lot to work out between you two, but for now, this moment was a good enough start.
__________________________________________________
His blood was spilling onto the snow, pooling through layers of jackets the basterds wrapped him with. His blood was begginning as a slow drip of crimson on white, like cherries in the snow.
The basterds couldn't help him, and they couldn't afford to lose another basterd.
When Donny woke up, he was in an aid station. That never happened to any basterd before. He felt  like he didn't deserve it.
So when he realized you were taking his temperature, and his vitals, he shifted, "I don't need your help."
You raised your eyebrow.
"I don't know why they send you all out here anyway. We can take care of ourselves. We have to. I don't need this. I can-"
The way he said 'we' irked you.
You knew he was talking about the soldiers, forgetting war efforts involved everyone. There were civilians, women, children, medics, engineers, any and everyone everywhere left life as they knew it. Left it all behind, and put it all on the line. Even if they weren’t on the front line, it didn’t mean it wasn’t valuable.
You decided to play his game. You had the time.
You stood back, and crossed your arms, "Aw, don't like seein’ dames in charge, huh?"
"Wh.." He sputtered, realizing how his tone came off, "No, I...I meant...Uh...That's not what I meant! I..."
You smirked, "Alright tough guy. You still got some shrapnel there. You don't need me, right? Here."  You handed him a scalpel.
He stared at you blankly.
You stared right back, your arms were crossed, your eyebrow raise, containing a laugh of amusement behind a face of routine. "Well, sergeant? I'm waiting."
His lips parted, but no words came out.
He was Donny Donowitz. He had never been speechless in his life.
You crouched over him, "Look. Your job might be to kill the enemy, but my job is to keep you alive."
This time, he raised his eyebrow. His head tilted to the side, and his dark eyes tried to see through yours.
He couldn't read you.
You stood back up, "Sometimes we can't do that," You sighed, sometimes it was too much. There were days where the blood didn't stop, there was no time to eat, no time to sleep.
There was a commotion out in the corridor.
There had been an air raid over a nearby town...Which meant chances were you wouldn't be able to save someone that night.
You looked back at Donny, and shrugged, "Hang tight, tough guy."
"Wait...I-"
You looked back at the door.
You knew he wouldn't say it.
He was too proud.
He wouldn't admit he needed you.
It kind of gave you some satisfaction, but, at the same time, there were others that really needed you.
Donny, in the mean time, slumped back down.
What was he going to say?
He stared at the ceiling, looking for those words as his fever took him back to night.
****
Donny's eyes went wide.
He flailed, and shot straight up, immediately trying to get up. The nurse that was in the room at the time couldn't get him to calm down, and there were no sedatives at hand.
"Y/N?! SOMEBODY! GET ME SOME GODDAMN SEDATIVES!"
In no time, you marched in.
The sole look on your face made Donny Donowitz stand down.
He was genuinely terrified.
You were not having it.
Your hair was pulled back, a few wild strands undone from the long hours. Your sleeves rolled up from your day turned graveyard shift. Your stern, unamused expression settled him down immediately.
You held up a syringe.
He immediately backed down.
Because if there was one thing Donny couldn't handle, it was syringes.
He could scalp all the nazis in the world, and bash as many of their brains in as he pleased....but a needle was an absolute hell no.
"Hey hey, hey, what's all the commotion in here, huh?"
That was a rhetorical question, of course. Because Donny was the most problematic patient you’d ever had. So you immediately looked to him. The only conscious patient in the room, and you muttered "Oh of course."
He gathered his strengths back up, "I gotta go, I gotta get back out there."
You looked at the other nurse. "Lana, can you get private Martinez down the hall some more morphine? I'll handle this."
Lana, the other nurse, smiled and nodded gratefully as she bounded down the hall.
"You're not ready to go back out there."
"But-"
You gently pressed your fingertips against his covered wound, and he flinched as a wave of sharp pain struck him.
“See.”
He shook his head, and started to sit up, "I'm fucking fine!"
You couldn't believe it. Their pride and stubborness was the number one thing that got those boys hurt and right back to you.
Or worse.
Six feet underground.
"Hey." You raised your voice.
Normally, you weren't that nurse....but Donny wasn't making it any easier.
It had been a tough week.
There had been more casualties than usual...
No matter how much training you got, nothing could ever prepare you for that. Not those sad eyes that would never see victory, or home again...
You stood over Donny, "I didn't bust my ass trying to save you, just so you could go and-"
"Save me?!"
You glared, "Yeah. You."
"You didn't save me, " he huffed, "The boys brought me in."
"Oh." You picked up a tin, and shook it around. A metallic clink began to ring through the room. "And who took this fucking bullet out of your belly? Who stopped you from spilling your guts out? Who closed up that wound when your sloppy team couldn’t? All the lovely ladies here."
He was silent for a moment.
He lowered his voice, and muttered, "You don't know what it's like out there, sweetheart."
Sweetheart?
You gritted your teeth.
You weren’t taking a back seat. You’d worked too hard all your life.
Smoke practically flared out of your ears.
"No?" You lowered your voice too, not to comfort him, but to confront him.
"C'mon sergeant. Nurses see all the blood you don't have to. We sit with the dead and the dying day in and day out. We stitch you up, and send you back out there. Hell, we go out there."
You knew he was going to say it wasn't the same.
Somehow, sometimes you thought it was worse...
Millions of lives were in your hands. Seeing even one go was enough to make you wonder about it all.
"I was there... the Blitz." You had the burns to prove it. You were there, on the lines of multiple battles, but that basterd didn't need to hear your biography.
Just your point.
"I know what's happening, because I've been on the front lines. A lot of us have. You don't think we do? Well guess what tough guy, hundreds of us have been hurt or killed out there. My sister's a nurse. You know where she is?"
He shook his head.
"Yeah. I don't either. She's a POW somewhere in the goddamn pacific.  And my brother. Know where he is? A fuckin' captain training kids, 18, 19, 20 year olds to come out here and join the circus. So welcome to the club, tough guy. We all got front row seats here."
He heard you slam your fist down on the stand by his cot, and you left.
He turned his head, and saw you left a few pain killers by his glass of water.
He woke up again, in the middle of the night. His eyes fell on the clock hanging over the doorway.
It was almost 3 AM.
He spotted a figure, slumped in the corner.
You were sitting in a chair, drinking out of a canteen.
"Can I have some?" He smiled a little.
You closed the cap, and rolled your eyes on the ceiling, and sighed, "Nope. You're in a hospital."
"Then how come you get some?" He thought he had you.
You smirked and looked at him, "Cause I'm not on medication."
"But you're on duty."
"Off the clock."
He noted your hair was down, and nodded, then asked softly, "Then why are you here?"
You smiled a little and looked at him, "Seems to be the only way to keep you here."
He chuckled a little, though it hurt, and he gripped his wounded side.
You were both silent then.
You pressed your back against the chair, and your head leaned back against the wall, and you shut your eyes, though you were far from sleeping.
You didn't know how much time had passed, but you knew it had been quite a while.
"Hey...nurse..."
You peeked one eye open, "Sergeant?"
"What's the first thing you're gonna do when you get home?"
You sighed, and thought for a moment.
You could say the standard issue answer: Hug your mother. See someone you love. Find your friends.
You'd thought about home a lot, sure. But never really thought about going home. You'd seen so many that never would go home. You'd been on one front line too many. You never had a guarantee of making it through a whole day. So you never gave yourself the luxury to think of that hope at all.
"Get a rootbeer float." You decided.
It was true.
There was a mom and pop shop down the street from your home. You hoped it was still there when you got back. Somehow you hoped all your friends would be in the same booth like they were every Friday night, after school, after work, before they all volunteered or got drafted.
You looked to the tired soldier "What about you, sergeant?"
He smiled a little, "Get a piece of pie."
"Oh yeah? Boston cream pie?"
"Huh?"
You shrugged a little embarassed as you pulled the covers back over him, "You...got that  kinda accent..."
He smiled, "Should."
You smiled softly, "See you in the morning, sergeant."  You turned and started walking out of the room.
"Wait..."
You turned to look at him.
"Y/n...that's your name, right?"
You nodded, "Yeah..."
"I'm uh....I'm..." He couldn't appologize, of course, that pride was hitting in.
You nodded, and spoke softly, "Yeah, I know."
He sat up, and it didn't hurt. "You uh...you do good..."
You laughed a little, "Gee, thanks. I never woulda guessed." You sat by his side.
In the morning, a doctor came by.
Donny was discharged from the aid station.  He stood up, and turned around, searching the room... Three nurses were there, and none of them were you.  As he walked down the hall, he glanced into each room, but couldn’t find you. He stood out in the snow, and sighed. His breath forming  alost cloud as he whispered your name in defeat.  “Sergeant Donowitz?”  He turned and found a soldier in a jeep, waiting to drive him to the end of allied lines, where the basterds would be waiting for him.  He got into the jeep, and turned around one last time.  You stood on the highest floor of the makeshift hospital.  It hurt having to see so many people that wouldn’t make it. Talking to them made it hurt more.... But falling in love was a million times worse.  You shook your head.  That couldn’t be why it made your heart sink... Why did it hurt so much to watch him walk out? That was what usually made you relieved for a patient. You didn’t want to answer that... **** Months passed.  The basterds were walking through a small town in France, recently taken back by the allies and the resistance.  The snow had long metled away. The skyw as bright blue. It was an early summer morning.  There were soldiers everywhere. Nurses and medics responding to the wounded.  The basterds were staying there for a day or two, and then continuing on their mission.  Aldo gave them a “day off” which was rare for the basterds. Rarer still was a coincidence like the one Donny was about to live.  He spotted someone, in civilian clothes, but with the sharpness of a fighter, and the soul of a basterd, and the heart and courage only a nurse could have.  “Y/n...” You turned around, and smiled, unable to believe it as you ran to him, and threw your arms around him. He smiled down at you, and you giggled, “Still a sergeant, huh?” He laughed, and rolled his eyes, and kissed you.  You spent the rest of the day together, and at sunset, when the boys had to meet back up, Donny walked you to the aid station.  “Meet me after everything...When the war’s done...” You nodded, “I’ll be right here, tough guy.” He looked back at the waiting basterds, then back at you.  He couldn’t tell you about the mission, or that the war would be over sooner than you thought. That was all classified.  He only told you they were heading to a small town called Nadine.  He kissed you one last time, adn walked away with the rest of the basterds. He llooked back at you, adn this time, you were still there.  And you’d be there, for him when it was all over, just as you’d been there, like every other nurse, when it was all beginning.
Ramen and Cuddles with Minho ♡
Note: Hi! I know I have been MIA for a year but I’m back and I’ll try to be active again! I have seen your requests and I will try to start working on them now before I go back to work. For now, please enjoy this Minho cute/fluff scenario that had been siting on my drafts since forever haha. Thank you! ♡
-
It was a rainy sunday night and you were curled up in bed because of dysmenorrhea.
“So you really prefer hugging little ming instead of big ming?” Your boyfriend asked, getting jealous over the mickey mouse stuffed toy you were hugging.
You chuckled, “it’s because he’s soft! And you’re... you’re... not that soft.” You reasoned out while thinking of his muscles and well....his abs too.
“But you love hugging me!” He argued. He suddenly smiled and put a pillow inside his shirt.
You started laughing, “what are you doing?”
“I’m all fluffy now! Hug me!!” He yelled happily and laid on top of you.
“Oh my god” you laughed while pinching his cheeks, “you’re really really cute but get off me you’re heavy!”
“No! Hug me!!” He demanded in the cutest way possible.
“No love, get off me and remove that pillow so I can hug you properly.” You giggled.
His stared at you with twinkling eyes, “really?”
You giggled and nodded.
He quickly got off and removed the pillow in his shirt to cuddle you.
“I guess you love big ming more than little ming then” he proudly said.
You chuckled, “you’re so silly.”
He lifted your chin and made you look at him, “does it still hurt?”
You nodded, “yes, but I just wanna sleep it off.”
Ming gave you a little smile before kissing your forehead, “sleep then.”
“Good night, love.” You sleepily said.
“Good night, my baby.” He answered, pulling you closer.
You woke up the next day without ming by your side and the pain worsen. You forced yourself to the bathroom to get sanitized and to freshen up.
“Oh, good. My princess is up.” ming smiled while walking towards you.
You tiredly sighed and hugged him. He chuckled and hugged you back, “i’m guessing the pain worsen”
You nodded in his chest.
He kissed the top of your head, “come. I prepared a hot compress for the pain and a ramen for breakfast.”
You got all soft by your boyfriend’s sweetness so you hugged him tighter, “i love you, even though ramen’s the only food you know how to cook.” You kid.
“Hey! I can make kimchi fried rice too!” He argued while laughing, “plus, ramen is perfect for this kind of weather.”
You agreed, “ramen and... cuddles??” You showed him your puppy eyes
“Of course. You didn’t even have to beg.” He smiled softly. “But you have to eat first. Wait for me in the living room, I’ll bring you your food.” He instructed you and you nodded obediently, “okay.”
Ming came back with a tray with bowl of ramen, water, and a hot compress. He gently put the hot compress on top of your stomach and he played your favorite series. “Here, I’ll feed you.”
“It’s okay, I can feed myself” you chuckled.
“No. Just enjoy watching.” He sternly said while handing you the glass of water.
“Fine.” You said in defeat.
You noticed how ming stared at you, and to your lips— to be specific. You realized you haven’t kissed him the whole day yesterday until now, and oh, let’s not talk about how much he loves to kiss you.
“You want a kiss, don’t you?” You straightforwardly asked.
Ming blinked multiple times, “w-what?”
“Yes or no.”
“Ye-no. I mean— yes. But I know how much you hate kisses when you are on your period so I’m scared of asking you.” He pouted. It’s true, it makes you irritated. Blame the dysmenorrhea.
You took the ramen from ming and placed it on the center table, “Come here.” You held his face and pulled him closer.
Ming smiled in between the kiss which made you smile too. He deepened the kiss and laid you in the couch. But of course, you didn’t go any further. You both broke the kiss to catch some breath.
Ming laughed, “why do we always end up having a make out session?”
“Go ask yourself.” You answered while making room for him in the couch.
He wiggled his brows at you, “i know you love it.”
“I hate you” you playfully hit him.
“I love you most!” He happily answered while hugging you tightly.
Long Distance: Kaapo Kakko X Reader (part 3)
Tumblr media
*gif isn’t mine, I am sure I found it on here, I have scoured everywhere, can’t find the owner, if you made it tell me so I can give credit where it’s due*
Authors Note: OOP- I think I know where I’m bringing this now (I have 2 ideas) but you guys will hate me for it for a bit if I go with one of them
Summary: Kaapo and the reader are in Vancouver for the draft.
Warnings: *Possibly a curse or two I can’t remember. Also there’s a passive comment in here, I ain’t got anything against New Jersy btw.
Requested: Yes | No
Word Count: 1,060
It took a lot to convince your mom to bring you to Vancouver. She was pissed about what happened in Slovakia. She was really mad. But you were able to do it. The plane ride over you were giddy. You were excited. You were staying in Vancouver for a week. Plenty of time.
When the plane landed you practically bounced off. Your mom starting becoming suspicious about why you wanted to come to Vancouver. You decided to send Kaapo a text to let him know you were here.
You: Hey I’m here, what are you up too?
Immediately you got a text back.
Kaapo: press
You: oh fun
Read
This was going to be a busy time and it wasn’t necessarily his fault. Besides, he just told you he was working with press. You were too happy for him to possibly be upset about it.
The hotel you and your mom were staying at was nice. Fancy. Gorgeous. Had a nice restaurant beside it too, so your mom treated you there.
Mom was giving you weird vibes however.
You were seated at the table and the second you ordered and the waiter took the menus she gave you a look.
She swished the water and ice in her cup. “So. When were you going to tell me you chased a boy here?”, she said simply. She didn’t sound mad or upset.
You slumped I your chair. “Mom I-“, she cut you off.
“Hey hey. I get it. Sometimes you fall for the wrong person at the wrong time. Sometimes the right person at the wrong time. I just would of liked to know why you had Auntie Aada almost call the police for your return”, she said with a chuckle, taking a sip of her water.
Visibly relaxing, you told her everything. She listened and laughed. She sided with you on most of what happened.
“Aada just worries. Long distance is hard”, mom told you. You knew it was true.
“Yea, but Mom something about this feels right. Not like he’s my soulmate or anything. I mean he very well could be, but that’s not the point. Everything is calm between us. There’s a peace and appreciation that no one else has ever shown me. There’s something there. I haven’t known him long enough to say I’m in love with him but Mom I think that spark is the start. That little something is going to be bigger. I know it’s not going to be easy, but life isn’t easy”, you took a deep breath. Mom looked at you in adoration.
“My Baby is growing up”! Her eyes watered as she said this and her hand grabbed yours. “If long distance is okay with you, then I’m okay with it”.
You blinked back happy tears. She got it. Your mother got it. She was going to support you through it. Dinner was calm after that. Conversation flowed easily.
“Draft is tomorrow. Are you going to be there”?
“Of course”.
You and your mom sat up with Kaapo and his family. You waited patiently with him, soothing and comforting him. This was big. Obviously, his childhood dream was coming true.
“Your okay babe”, you whispered to him. He had a straight face and was thinking hard.
“Thank you”. He looked over at you and some of the tension in his shoulders disappeared. But not all of it.
You massaged his hand. It always helped you calm down when you were younger. You hoped this would help him. The pad of your thumb ran along the palm of his hand, rubbing slow circles.
“You have small hands”.
You looked up at him with a smirk. “No my hands are average sized. You just have really big hands”.
He smirked but quickly returned his attention to the stage. You rested your head on his shoulder, continuing to massage his hand. Everyone was talking and being loud but the two of you were content with being silent.
New Jersey had taken their place on the stage to announce their selection. Martin Brodeur was announcing it. “For first over all, the New Jersey Devils are proud to select from the US program”, Kappos face fell, “Jack Hughes”.
“New Jersey sucks anyway”, you whispered while clapping for Hughes. You doubted it would help comfort him but it was something. They took their pictures and whatever.
It was a no brainer when the New York Rangers have Kaapo as their selection. It all blurred together, him getting up and hugging you first and then everyone else around him, his walk up, the pictures. The everything.
You were fucking proud.
You knew he was going to be occupied for a long time. You took your phone out and opened Instagram. Multiple notifications came up quickly on your phone.
“Was that you”?
“Are you at the draft”?
“You went to Vancouver”?
You ignored them. Your followers started slowly increasing. You changed your account to private for the time being. Kaapo has found your account making you smile and follow him back.
Opening the explore page, you searched for the Rangers. You followed them. Their page was already quickly filling up with Kakko posts.
New notification: “Is Kakko your boyfriend”?
You didn’t know what to say. Was he? No, the two of you haven’t talked about that. You read it over and over. The question upset you more then it should of. What were you guys? You were too easily upset, you pinned it on a lot of change.
You exited and started scrolling through your feed. Nothing interesting. Basic selfies, basic vacation pics, basic ads.
It was getting late, you had to leave with mom to go back to the hotel. You hugged the Kakko’s congratulations, and left. Kaapo was still busy with the rangers team and press. Mom talked about how much she loved the draft and how she wanted to go to another one.
That made you happy. When you reached the hotel room, only then you realized how tired you were. Almost immediately you fell asleep.
~~~~~~~~
You slept in, but woke up well rested. Quickly, you noticed mom wasn’t in the hotel room. She left a note for you on the clock.
‘Out with the girls, will be back before 5’
It was 11 am. What felt like hundreds of messages spammed your phone. Kaapo had texted you too.
Kaapo: When you get up text me?
You: Sorry I slept in. What’s your plan today?
Your phone dinged almost immediately.
Kaapo: No plans yet. Waited for you.
You: Think we could go somewhere to talk?
You left your phone on the nightstand and started getting ready. Your favourite summer clothes was a good choice. Flip flops and you were almost ready to go. Your hair was put into a lazily done bun before you sat back onto the bed.
Kaapo: Sure
You both decided to meet at the Tim Hortons closest to where he was staying. It wasn’t a far walk for you. Even though you could of taken the bus, you wanted to enjoy Vancouver.
The bell dinged as you opened the door. A quick scan of the Tims was all you needed. An awkward, out of place Kaapo sat in the back corner. You smiled but walked over.
“Is this seat taken”, you said in a deep voice.
Kaapos head snapped up to look at you. He chuckled, but motioned to the chair. You slid into the chair with ease. You rest your chin on your hand and looked intently at Kaapo.
“What are we?”, you asked loudly.
Kaapo went tense. “What do you mean?”, he mumbled, tracing random patterns on the table.
“Like. Are we together? Are we not?”, you sighed.
“I-“, he paused. “I don’t know. What do you want to be?”, he finished.
You smiled softly at him. “I want to be your girlfriend”, you said in a teasing tone.
He smiled. “Y/n, will you be my girlfriend”, he smirked.
“I, Y/n, agree to be your girlfriend”, you said dramatically. You both stopped for a second before bursting into loud fits of laughter. It wasn’t even that funny, so you weren’t sure why. You were wiping tears from your eyes, still trying to hold back laughter.
You reached for his hands. He reached for yours. Locking fingers together, you both giggled. Stupid teenager babble.
“Oh my god! Tell me how everything was for you!”, you exclaimed. You jumped out of your chair and almost leaped across the table to embrace him. His arms wrapped around you as he hummed in delight.
“Was good”.
“No no like TELL me about it”, you said excitedly.
So he did. He sat there and talked to you about it. He tried to be conservative about it. It was obvious he didn’t want to make everything about him.
You loved it. You loved hearing him talk about something so important to him. You loved just hearing him talk. You loved that this was a big part of his life, and inevitably yours too.
“I love you”, you blurted.
He froze. Kaapo looked at you like you had three heads. You were mentally beating yourself up over it. You didn’t even mean it. You didn’t know if you loved him yet. It was all too fast and all too soon. It was a spur of the moment. Your face went red. You regretted it immediately.
“You what”?

Part 1 || Part 2
“Jeongin!”
“Ah, Miss y/n, I’m here!”
You turned around, scowling at the frantic boy. He was dressed in his usual white button-up shirt, paired with a long black tie, black dress pants, and black leather shoes. He was slightly hunched and a little messy, but still acceptable. His half-slicked back hair framed his fox-like facial features showed slight fatigue.
“Why are you late? You’ve never been late,” you hissed, making the Jeongin shrink into himself.
“I’m so sorry, Miss. I woke up late today. I have no excuse,” he gulped, fixing his hair.
“I’ll excuse you this time and this one time only. You’ve never been late before so I’ll let you off the hook. If you’re ever late again,” you stared coldly into his eyes, “You’re fired.”
“Yes, ma’am. I apologize,” Jeongin bows before scuttling to his small desk on the side of the room.
You sigh and walk towards your own desk before plopping into your comfortable swivel chair. You watched Jeongin as he set his things down by his desk and got back up and left the room. Jeongin was your personal assistant and you had to admit that he was the best you’ve ever had. You’re the youngest CEO, having graduated three years early, and have won multiple awards for your amazing work.
You became busy quickly and at the youthful age of only eighteen, you still were not able to handle all the stress by yourself. So, you began searching for someone to aid you with your work. You’ve looked and looked and worked with a couple of people, but they weren’t the right fit. Your life became drastically less stressful and you felt less pressure as soon as you met Jeongin.
He was the same age as you, but still in college. Now, it has been four years since you’ve started working with Jeongin. It’s his last year in college now so you’re hoping he would become more available after he graduates.
You stare down blankly at the paperwork in front of you, contemplating on whether you should start them now or hand them off to Jeongin to finish. Just then, the door creaks open and you look up. Jeongin shuffles in with a small tray of snacks and a fresh cup of steaming coffee, as usual.
“Here you are, Miss,” Jeongin sets the tray down on your table, “The coffee is still hot. You should wait a while.”
“Thank you,” you nod, dwelling in the scent of fresh coffee and sweet cookies.
“Oh, should I take the paperwork, Miss?” Jeongin asks, noticing the pile of papers you were previously staring at.
“Sure, thanks,” you shrug, handing him the stack.
You silently munched on the cookies and drank the coffee as you watched Jeongin start on the paperwork. To say he was a hard worker was an understatement and you felt bad for being so harsh on him. He has amazing work ethics, always polite, and he always followed your orders all the way down to the smallest details. He always had a smile on his face despite all the yelling, stress, and work he had to deal with. You really admired him, so as his boss, you believed that it was best to let him face challenges to help him grow.
Jeongin suddenly looks up, catching you staring at him. He gives you a sweet, dimpled smile before setting down his pen and getting up. He made his way over to your desk and took the empty tray.
“Would you like me to refill your cup?” he points to the empty cup in your hands.
“It’s alright. Just finish the paperwork by lunch. We have a meeting after,” you hand him the cup before turning back around to look for some files.
After Jeongin came back, the two of you worked in comfortable silence. Jeongin knew mornings just weren’t your thing so he didn’t bother you too much. It was your routine. You and Jeongin would come into the office, he’d get you some snacks and the two of you worked silently. Then, after lunch, the two of you would attend meetings if there were any and then get back to work, but Jeongin would speak up more. Finally, at the end of the day, Jeongin would drive you back home before heading for his night classes.
Occasionally, he would have to sign out in the middle of the day if his school schedule conflicted with his work schedule. You would reluctantly let him go, but you understood that he had to graduate.
Before you knew it, it was already noon. You looked up from your laptop and your eyes drifted to Jeongin, who was scribbling away. You got up and walked up to his desk.
“Have you finished?” you look down at what he was writing.
“I’m almost done. I’ll finish this last sheet and go to lunch,” Jeongin smiled up at you.
“Good. This meeting is going to be draining,” you roll your eyes at the thought of who you were going to work with today.
“Of course. Have a nice lunch, Miss,” Jeongin waves as you left the room.
---
“Jeongin. Do you have all the paperwork?” you ask as you walk steadily towards the meeting room.
Jeongin trailed behind you, “Yes, I have the paperwork and a couple of additional files.”
“Good. You know how this man is. Disgusting,” you seeth, stopping in front of the door.
You take a deep breath before opening the door. You put on a fake smile, showing off your pearly white teeth. The jolly, old man in front of you let out a bellowing laugh and you cringed internally. You had worked with him quite a few times and you had come to learn that he was extremely touchy. Jeongin has had to intervene many times. Unfortunately for you, he was good friends with your deceased parents and so naturally, your parents had hoped that you would work closely with him. You only agreed because your parents asked you to. You respected them and their decisions so you reluctantly complied.
“Y/n, good to see you again, love,” the middle-aged man spread his arms wide open for a hug.
“Please, do not call me ‘love’, Mister Park. I’ve told you many times,” you stepped back a little and reached for his hand for a quick shake.
“Aww come on, we’ve worked together for such a long time. Your parents and I were close anyway,” he shrugs before taking a seat on one of the ends of the long table.
You sat down on the opposite end and Jeongin sat next to you. The meeting officially began and you internally groaned. It would be another two hours of your life wasted. Mr. Park had never been too interesting and you always quietly dozed off whenever he was talking. Luckily, Jeongin always took down notes and spoke for you whenever you didn’t feel like interacting.
“Alright, what do you have to say this time,” you sigh, your fingers held up your head by your temple.
“I think you’re going to like this one,” Mr. Park chuckled.
“You say that every time,” you discreetly rolled your eyes. You heard Jeongin let out the slightest giggle next to you. He must have seen it.
“No, but really. This time, it’s big,” Mr. Park shakes his head, leaning forward.
You leaned back,” Then tell me.”
Mr. Park began his long, boring speech and you completely tuned him out. You blankly stared at the clock right above his head. In the middle of his rambling, he suddenly got up and you shook yourself awake a little.
“You’re going to go on a business trip to endorse my newest product!” Mr. Park practically yells.
“Pardon?” you slam down on the table, standing up as well.
“We’re sending you to tour the U.S. to endorse my new product. You’ll be out and about for a whole month. Isn’t that exciting? You young people love traveling, huh,” Mr. Park laughs, clapping for himself.
You looked in disbelief at the jovial man. You had never liked moving around and being an introverted person, traveling and being with people always drained you. You were also never really one to be the center of attention, despite being the CEO. You always had Jeongin present the latest products or do the talking. Being front and center made you feel weak and powerless. You never liked the feeling of people staring at you, waiting for you to mess up or belittling you.
“Sir, would you please elaborate?” Jeongin asks, placing a comforting hand on yours.
You weakly collapsed back into your chair. Your heart pounded rapidly in your chest and you give Jeongin a quick glance. He simply smiles warmly your way and patting your hands a few times, trying to calm you down.
“Of course, Mister Yang. Well, my new product is in need of some promoting. A beautiful, young lady like y/n would be great for marketing,” Mr. Park smirks.
“It’s not even my product. Why can’t you find someone else from your company to do it?” you scoff.
“This is a partnership, y/n. You must do some kind of work,” Mr. Park snorts as if it were obvious, “Besides, you kind of owe me this since your parents asked you to work for me.”
“Work with you, Mister Park,” you shake your head, trying to regain your composure, “I don’t work for you.”
“Sure, whatever. Anyway, we’ve already booked flights and hotels so you have to go. Traveling starts next week,” Mr. Park replies nonchalantly.
“Mister Park, I’m not sure that’s enough time to prepare for everything,” Jeongin looks at you worriedly.
“Ayy, don’t worry about it, kiddo. You children can adapt quickly,” Mr. Park’s cocky voice drifts off as he leaves the room.
As soon as the door shuts behind him and his employees, you dropped your head down to the table, clutching it with your arms. You let out a small groan. You could feel your tears bubbling in your eyes, but you refused to cry.
“Miss y/n...we’ll get through this. I’m here to help,” you felt Jongin's large hands rest on your back, rubbing it softly.
You sat up and looked at him wearily. His hand was still making comforting circles on your back. You didn’t want to drag him away from school for two whole months. It would just prolong his days of juggling studying and work.
“Are you sure?” you sniff.
“That’s what you hired me for, isn’t that right?” Jeongin chuckles kindly.
You nodded sadly, “I guess you can be dismissed now, today. I don’t want to do anything so please just take me home.”
“Of course. Let’s go,” Jeongin nods, helping you up.
You and Jeongin make your way to his car and he opens the door for you. You slipped in and buckled up. Jeongin soon joins you in his car and begins heading back to your house. It was only two in the afternoon, but you just wanted to sleep for the rest of the day. You rested your head on the window and watched as the colorful city flew past you.
“Jeongin,” you whispered, peeking over at him.
“Yes?” he responded, still looking at the road.
“Are you sure you want to pause school for an entire month...just to help me ‘endorse’ this product?” you guiltily ask.
“Of course. It’s my job to help you, right?” Jeongin glances over at you, smiling.
“Thank you,” you nod, before going back to watching the lively city.
---
You sat in your swivel chair, waiting for Jeongin to arrive. For once, you were dressed in casual clothes in the office. It felt weird, but you reminded yourself that you were leaving soon. You heard a knock before the door creaked and you spun around.
Your eyes widen a little at the sight of your assistant in casual clothing. Jeongin’s hair was down and fluffy. He had on an oversized, canary yellow hoodie paired with comfortable denim overalls. In his hand right hand was a medium-sized suitcase and a backpack hung from his left shoulder.
“You look like a minion,” you bluntly tell him, snickering a little. He looked cute though.
“I didn’t even realize that,” Jeongin frets, checking over his outfit.
You laugh a little, causing Jeongin to nervously giggle along. A ‘ding’ from your phone startles both you and Jeongin and you check your phone. The driver sent by Mr. Park had arrived and you sighed. You and Jeongin make your way down to the parking lot of the building.
A large, black van was parked and the driver was waiting for you. He opened the trunk and Jeongin helped you put your luggage in and put his in as well. You left your backpack in the back as well, but Jeongin kept his with him. Jeongin opened the door for you and you hopped in, buckling up right away. Jeongin slid into the seat next to yours and buckled up as well.
The ride to the airport was quiet, but it was a comfortable silence. After an hour drive, you finally reached the airport. The number of people traveling in and out the doors nearly made you faint. Luckily, Jeongin knew how to maneuver through the busy airport and the two of you safely made your way to your gate.
“What’s the schedule today?” you ask, holding your backpack close as you sat nervously, waiting to board the plane.
“Well, we’re going to the west coast, California, first. It takes about fourteen hours to get there. It should be about seven in the evening when we arrive. Mister Park booked a hotel one hour away from the airport. The hotel offers dinner so we could eat there and just rest for the day.” Jeongin informs you.
You simply nod, already dreading the long flight. Soon, first-class flyers were called so you and Jeongin lined up, to board the plane. The woman at the little podium in front of the gate scanned your tickets and you and Jeongin made your way to the plane to find your seats. Jeongin lifted your luggage into the little compartment above your seat and easily slid his in as well.
“Do you want the window or aisle seat?” Jeongin asks, adjusting his backpack.
“Uh, window,” you shrug before shuffling to the seat and sitting down.
You placed your backpack in the little corner between your seat and the seat in front. Luckily, there was a lot of room since you were riding in first class. Jeongin slips into his seat next to yours and slides his backpack underneath his seat.
Soon, all the passengers boarded and the pilot announced that you were lifting off. You had never flown before and to say you were nervous was an understatement. As soon as the flight attendants showed up, you quickly strapped on your seatbelt and pulled on the loose strap so that you were strapped in as tight as possible. Your hands gripped on the armrest so hard that your knuckles turned white. You felt lightheaded when the plane started moving.
“Hey, don’t be scared. You can hold my hand if you want,” Jeongin’s soothing voice breaks you out of your panicked state.
You looked over at Jeongin’s hand before hesitantly accepting his offer. You felt the plane tip upwards and you immediately shut your eyes, tightening your hold on Jeongin’s hand. You felt Jeongin give your hand a light squeeze. Finally, the plane evened out and you opened your eyes, letting out a breath you didn’t even know you were holding.
“Are you okay?” Jeongin asked and you looked over.
“Uh, thanks,” you awkwardly let go of his hand, immediately missing the warmth and comfort of it.
“No problem,” Jeongin smiles.
Throughout the flight, you and Jeongin discussed the plans and different flights. It had already been eight hours into the flight and dinner had just been served. You were beginning to feel drowsy and your head rolled back and forth as you tried to stay awake.
“Miss, are you tired?” Jeongin asked, his voice soft.
You sleepily nodded. Jeongin leaned over and you leaned back, a little shocked at his sudden advancement. He noticed and apologized.
“Uh, you can tilt your chair back if you want. Just press that little button there,” he leaned even closer to point at the button on the inside of your armrest, “And just push back.”
You pushed the button with your thumb and pushed back as instructed. You let out a small squeak of surprise when your seat slammed backward. Jeongin began laughing and you felt your cheeks heat up.
“No need to shove that hard,” Jeongin giggles, helping you adjust your seat.
“We should invest in a private jet. This sucks,” you pout.
“Noted,” Jeongin laughs.
You unbuckle your seatbelt, deciding that it was more comfortable that way. Jeongin soon joined you in leaning his chair back. Soon, your eyelids began getting heavier and heavier and you drifted up into a dreamless sleep.
---
A bright beam of light woke you up. You were a little disorientated, confused as to why you didn’t feel like you were in bed. Blinking, you tried to wake yourself up and you looked down. A rose pink jacket had been draped neatly over your body. You were confused. You didn’t remember having that over you when you fell asleep, much less owning it. You looked over at Jeongin’s seat to ask him, but he wasn’t there.
You sighed and looked out the window. The sky was light blue and the white, fluffy clouds drifted underneath the plane. The bright sun shone through the window, illuminating your lap.
“You’re awake,” a sudden voice makes you jump and turn around.
“Oh, it’s you,” you sigh in relief, placing a hand over your pounding heart.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you,” Jeongin chuckles, “Did you sleep well?”
“I suppose. This seat is nowhere near as comfortable as my bed though,” you complain.
“I can imagine,” Jeongin laughs, sitting back down.
You remembered the jacket still draped over you and you shook it off. Folding it neatly, you held it out to Jeongin, “I assume this is yours.”
“Yeah, you were shivering in your sleep. It gets pretty cold on planes,” Jeongin explains, taking his jacket back.
“Oh, thank you,” you awkwardly nod.
“You only slept for four hours. Can’t sleep?” he asked.
“Four hours? It felt longer,” you frown, “I’m fine though, thanks for asking.”
“Well, we’re landing in two hours, so you can get more rest when we get to the hotel later,” Jeongin says.
“Okay, sounds good. Make sure to give Mister Park a call when we land. I don’t want to deal with him,” you hum, “Tell him ‘thank you’ for paying for the hotel.”
“Of course,” Jeongin agrees.
The two hours passed quickly. You and Jeongin just went over the week’s plans another time before the pilot announced the landing of the plane. You were more than ecstatic to get off and Jeongin chuckled at your enthusiasm.
You practically bolted off the plane as soon as the plane halted, but Jeongin held you back. He reached up and opened the compartment and pulled out your luggage. You watched as he grabbed his own.
His hood had been pulled over his head, leaving only his soft bangs and handsome face exposed. His sleeves slid down as he reached for his luggage and exposed his toned arms. He wet his lips before pulling his luggage out of the compartment, causing his arm muscles to flex. You had to admit, he looked pretty attractive at the moment.
“Alright, we can head out now,” Jeongin turns to you, pulling up the handle from his luggage.
You frantically turned around and began walking, pretending as you hadn’t just been checking him out. You didn’t know what got into you and why Jeongin suddenly looked so attractive. Maybe it was the lack of sleep. Maybe it was seeing him in casual clothes for the first time. Maybe it was spending fourteen continuous hours with him. Of course, you had thought he was handsome before, but you were never really attracted to him. Shaking off these thoughts, you focused on making it out of the bustling airport.
Finally, the two of you made it out to the exit and luckily, the car to pick you up had already arrived. Jeongin loaded both yours and his luggage into the car and the driver set off towards the hotel. On the way, you pulled out a small booklet and handed it to Jeongin.
“Here, study up on your English,” you tell him, "Mister Park may have chosen me to do the promoting, but you’re going to have to at least understand the locals here.”
“Of course. Thank you, Miss,” Jeongin takes the book and immediately begins flipping through it.
“Also, don’t forget to call and thank Mister Park,” you reminded.
“I’ll do that right now, Miss,” Jeongin set the book down and pulled out his phone, searching his contacts.
You stared outside the window, but you were listening in on Jeongin’s conversation with Mr. Park. You felt a little guilty for shoving the call onto Jeongin, but you really didn’t want to deal with that creepy, old man after an uncomfortable fourteen-hour flight.
“Hello, Mister Park. This is Yang Jeongin, Miss y/n’s personal assistant,” Jeongin paused and waited for Mr. Park’s reply, “Yes, we’ve arrived safely, sir. Thank you for booking the hotel for us.”
You looked over at Jeongin and gave him a thumbs up. He gives you his brightest smile, and you turn back to look out the window. You don’t know what’s happening, but you felt yourself blushing at his adorable smile. That’s never happened before.
“Thank you, Mister Park. We will call you later. Goodbye, sir,” Jeongin ended the call and slipped his phone back into his pocket.
During the rest of the car ride, you and Jeongin simply enjoyed each other’s company, well at least you enjoyed it. You were never sure if Jeongin liked you because of the constant, bright smile on his face. He had always been one who could easily mask his annoyance or distraught so you never really knew.
Finally, you reached the hotel and you had to admit, it was quite nice. It was one that you would personally book for vacation if you ever traveled. You and Jeongin waited in the lobby for the bellhops to help with your luggage and to sign in. You watched Jeongin as he marveled at the sight in front of him.
“You seem to like this place,” you chuckle.
“I’ve just never been in such an expensive hotel before,” Jeongin looked around in awe.
“You’ll have to get used to it,” you smile, admiring the boy.
“I guess I will,” Jeongin looks back at you, his eyes sparkling with joy.
“Let’s go check in,” you began walking towards the check-in desk.
“Hello, sir. We’d like to check-in. The reservation was made by Mister Jinyoung Park,” you informed the man in perfect english.
You heard a little gasp from behind you. Turning around, you saw Jeongin who quickly placed his hand over his mouth. You gave him an amused grin before turning back to the employee.
“Here’s your key, Miss. Have a nice night,” the employee handed you the key.
“Thank you,” you examined the key card, “Excuse me. Why is there only one key? We have two people.”
“Sorry, it says here...Mister Park only booked one room,” the man shrugged.
Your mouth dropped open as you stared at the employee’s retreating form. He disappeared behind the staff door and you aggressively turned to face Jeongin who jumped back a little.
“Is there something wrong, Miss y/n?” Jeongin asked, brows furrowing in worry.
“Mister Park…” you hissed under your breath, eyes flaming.
“What happened?” Jeongin inquired.
“That goddamn fool,” you scoffed, a dissatisfied smirk appeared on your face.
Jeongin shivered a little at the sight, “Uh...Miss y/n, you have to tell me what’s wrong so I can help.”
“That oaf booked only one goddamn room!” you roared, shoving the key card in Jeongin’s face. His face flushed and he looked down shyly.
“M-miss y/n, I’m sure it was a mistake,” Jeongin gulped, “We should call him to change it.”
“His cheap ass probably paid for only one room because it was too expensive and he wanted to annoy me. He knows I like my privacy. I’m not going to give him the satisfaction of annoying me,” you fumed, completely ignoring what Jeongin had just said.
Jeongin’s face was now even redder, “A-are you sure, Miss y/n?”
“I’m more than sure,” you smirked, your gaze piercing through Jeongin’s poor soul.
“O-oh, o-okay,” Jeongin choked out.
You stormed away to the elevator, Jeongin meekly following. You angrily pressed the up button and stood there, waiting for the elevator, arms crossed over your chest. Your foot rapidly tapped against the tile floor. Luckily, no one else was in the elevator when it arrived and you and Jeongin stepped in. Jeongin pressed the button to the penthouse and you pouted all the way to the top.
“Are you really sure, Miss y/n?” Jeongin hesitated as the two of you reached the room door.
“I’m sure, Jeongin,” you hissed, snatching the key from his hands and swiping it.
You entered the room. Usually, you would be more than satisfied with it, but the only catch is that there’s only one bed. Your knees turned into jelly and you collapsed, but before your knees could hit the floor, Jeongin caught you and helped you up.
“Oh my gosh, are you okay?” Jeongin worries.
“T-there’s...only,” you feel as if you were going to cry, “one bed.”
“What?!” Jeongin screeched, nearly falling over and almost dropping you.
“Mister Park is going to regret this,” you mumbled, already planning a murder plan.
“W-we should r-really go ask for a room change,” Jeongin begs.
“No, we’re not. We can’t let Mister Park win,” you glared at the blubbering boy.
“O-okay,” for the first time, you saw Jeongin near tears.
---
Toothbrush in hand, you squeezed a little glob of toothpaste onto it and began brushing your teeth. You peeked into the bedroom, hair still dripping wet. Jeongin was sitting awkwardly on the couch, scrolling through his phone. The television was on, but the volume was low. The two of you decided that some white noise would be the best way to distract you from the fact that there was only one bed. Jeongin had offered to take the couch, but you insisted that he slept on the bed. You couldn’t have him in a bad condition during the promotions tomorrow. Besides, you were a good boss.
“Oh, Miss y/n,” Jeongin looked up from his phone, noticing you peeking out of the bathroom.
“How early do we need to be up tomorrow?” you paused your brushing, the foamy paste all over your lips.
“The meeting starts at eight in the morning. We should eat breakfast before though...so maybe be up at seven?” Jeongin gets off the couch and walks towards you.
He hands you his phone and you scrolled through the schedule, nodding a few times. You ducked back into the bathroom to rinse your mouth out before popping back out. You handed Jeongin his phone back.
“Miss y/n, you should dry your hair. You can’t afford to get sick now,” Jeongin looks at your soaking hair worriedly.
“It’s fine. I’ll be fine,” you dismiss him, waving a hand.
Jeongin reached for your waving hand and grabs your wrist. He gently tugged you back into the bathroom before plugging in the hairdryer and turning it on. His actions shocked you, but also made you a little shy.
You watched through the giant mirror as Jeongin dried your hair, occasionally ruffling it to make sure it was drying evenly. Your eyes traveled all over his face. His brows were furrowed and his tongue was peeking out from his mouth. He had the cutest “concentrating face” and you couldn’t help but smile at the sight. Finally, Jeongin turned off the hairdryer and you parted your hair away from your face.
“I could have done that by myself,” you huff, trying to mask your satisfaction.
“Well, it’s my job to help you out,” Jeongin chuckles.
“Whatever,” you pout, “You can use the bathroom now.”
Jeongin simply laughs and retrieves his clean clothes before entering the bathroom and locking the door. You sigh and slipped into bed and scrolling through your phone. You hadn’t really thought about the consequences of sharing a bed with Jeongin until you actually got into the bed. Although it was the penthouse and the bed was fairly large, the bed was still meant for only one person. You swallowed harshly, trying to imagine how far you’d have to scoot to keep a safe distance from Jeongin.
Before you knew it, Jeongin was out of the bathroom, clad in a plain white t-shirt and light gray joggers. You subconsciously slid further down into the blankets, covering your face with your phone as you tried your best to look away. You’ve never shared a room with a boy, much less shared the same bed with one. You felt shy. You felt like a little girl who was experiencing something new.
Jeongin shuffles over to the bed and hops in, staying at the very edge of it like you were. You appreciated the space he left in between the two of you and bid him goodnight before turning off the lights.
You rolled away so that you weren’t facing him and closed your eyes. However, no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t sleep. Not with Jeongin right next to you at least. You weren’t sure if Jeongin was asleep or not, but you could hear his soft breathing and it comforted you a little. Soon enough, your eyes began drooping and you were knocked out cold.

Authors Note: Thanks for your request! Hope you like it! Sorry, it took so long! My brain likes to take it’s sweet as time. I literally rewrote this three times. (this part is kinda shitty but I’m building up to the good stuff!)
I had multiple drafts of this but finally came up with an idea I could be proud of. However, in order to execute it how I wanted, I need to make multiple parts.
Intro I Part Two I Part Three I
Tumblr media
 Months passed, and soon it had been a year since you lost Bucky. People moved on, lived their lives as if nothing in the world was wrong when in reality it was. While people had moved on you hadn’t. That night, Steve’s words ran through your mind on a constant loop and you had found it hard to even accomplish little tasks like taking a shower, but you pushed yourself to do them.
You went to work, did your job, and came home only to fall into the bed and stay put until you had to relive the process the next day. It was like you weren't even human anymore. Just a robot made to carry out all that’s needed to survive. You didn’t laugh, didn't smile, and didn’t love.
You felt broken, hell you were broken.
The apartment that was once shared with the love of your life, the apartment littered with pictures of you two was now empty and stripped of any reminder of him. The ring that he had proposed with was now hidden in the back of your dresser drawer. It was like he never existed. Some people say remembering is good, but for you, it's just painful.
You didn’t want to hear his voice or his laugh. You didn’t want to think about his stupid sense of humor or the life you were supposed to have. You didn’t want to see pictures of you smiling in Bucky’s arms. You didn’t want to remember how happy you had been because remembering that only reminded you, that you would never feel that way again.
You couldn’t even think about being with anyone else but Bucky. If him not being there now wasn’t something that would completely break you then trying to move on would be what did. You remember the night Bucky had proposed to you. Even though you wish you couldn't remember at all.
It was a cold morning, the light from the dark rainy day poured in through the slightly opened white curtains. You and Bucky were wrapped in each other's arms, foreheads were touching and his flesh arm was draped over your waist. Your bare legs were intertwined with his and your own hands were brought up to your chest trying to provide yourself more heat.
Bucky snored softly and your reached one of your hands up to brush his long hair out of his face. The sudden movement and uncovering of your arm from the comforter caused a breeze to run over your body and you shivered.
Bucky woke up at your sudden movement. His heavy eyelids opened softly to reveal his tired blue eyes. A soft yawn escaped his lips followed by his raspy morning voice.
“What time is it?”
You turned your head slightly to glance at your alarm clock.
“Five o’ two.”
You said your voice just as strained as his, adjusting to the new day. Bucky chuckled lightly before moving his hand off your waist and up to brush a strand of hair from your face.
“Your so beautiful doll.”
You smiled lovingly at him and took his hand intertwining his fingers with yours.
“Hmmm, and you're hot as hell.”
You smirked as Bucky let out a chuckle and pulled you close to him.
“Your freezing (y/n)!”
“I’m fully aware of that Barnes. I’ve been up for a while because of it.”
“Why didn’t you wake me?”
You shifted your head to look up into his blue eyes.
“Because that was one of the first nights you slept without a nightmare.”
Bucky stopped for a moment his gaze moving up at the ceiling as he got lost in thought. A grin stretched across his features as he realized you were in fact right. For once he didn’t see the winter soldier, he didn’t see HYDRA, but most importantly he didn’t see images of your hurt body. The ones that he often dreamed about, fearing that one day he would hurt you.
“I didn’t have a nightmare.”
Bucky repeated the words and looked in your eyes, you could practically see the happiness radiate through him. He looked relieved and so thankful. He couldn’t have been happier.
Bucky kissed your forehead lightly before rolling over and grabbing something from his nightstand. You couldn’t see what it was and your curiousness was spiking.
“(Y/N)?”
“Yes, Bucky.”
“So today is Thanksgiving and I  realized if I have anything to be thankful for it’s you. You keep me grounded, show me all the good things in life. Even when I was at my worse you stayed with me. Through the night terrors and all my episodes, you stayed. Your kind, gorgeous and I love every single thing about you.”
Bucky pushed himself up from the bed and rounded it so he was on your side. He dropped down to one knee and pulled a small black box from his pant pocket. You sat up quickly when you realized what was happening, the cold suddenly wasn't a problem anymore as he opened the box to revile a diamond ring.
“Will you marry me?”
You couldn’t describe what your feeling. In that moment it was like all the bad in the world was washed away and replaced with love. He was your life and now he was asking you to be his.
“Yes! James, yes!”
He slid the ring on your finger and leaned in to kiss you. You pulled him back onto the bed with you and kissed him deeply. Bucky pulled away slightly to speak.
“You know we have to be at the tower soon and you take forever to get ready. Steve will have a panic attack if we are late.”
You glanced back at the alarm clock and smirked at Bucky.
“We have time.”
With that, he pressed his lips to yours again and you where whole...
Now you sat on your couch stuck in your mind. The news was on but you hadn't really been paying attention. With a beer situated in your hand, you just stared at the screen until a knock sounded on your door. Setting the beer down on your coffee table you stood and opened the door to revile a smiling Steve holding take out in his hands. You pushed open the door to let him in and closed it behind him. Steve walked and set the bags down on your kitchen island and began to pull food containers out.
“What’s this?”
“It’s called food (y/n).”
“No shit. Why are you here Steve?”
“Well, it occurred to me you barely take care of yourself anymore so the only way to make sure you eat is to feed you. Also, watch your language.”
With a roll of your eyes, you walked to the kitchen and sat on the stool across from where he stood.
“It’s your favorite.”
He said in a sing-song voice and pushed a takeout box full of food in front of you. You grabbed a fork out of the bag and took a small bit, you couldn't deny that it was the best thing you had eaten in forever. Steve opened his own box and started eating while still standing across from you
“Thanks.”
You mumbled to him.
Steve smiled brightly and looked at you, then his smile vanished when he saw the beer bottle on the coffee table.
“(y/n). You said you would stop drinking.
“It’s one beer, Steve.”
“Still. You need to take better care of yourself.”
“Why?”
Your voice was so careless, and you continued to eat your food as if nothing was wrong. It was killing Steve to see you like this. He was broken too, but he hid it to be strong for you.
“Because he would have wanted you to move on and live your life.”
“Well, he isn’t here!”
You glared at Steve and smacked the counter, knocking over the drink he had gotten out, letting out a sigh you stood and got paper towels cleaning up the mess you had provided.
“I’m sorry Steve.”
 He bent down next to you and helped clean up the spilled drink.
“It’s okay.”
 You dropped the towel and sat and leaned against the island and put your hand over your face.
“It’s not okay. He’s gone.”
Steve sat beside you and pulled you into a hug and kissed your head. Steve had become your protector, your brother. He could understand your pain and him being him always wanted to take care of you.
“I miss him too.”
“It’s not fair. He was good and finally had his life together and now he’s just gone?”
“I know sweetheart. I know.”
Tears started to flow out of your eyes and sobs shook your body. His large arms made you feel so small, but they provided comfort. No matter how much you cried the pain never left. Nothing you did made you happy anymore.
You stayed in Steve’s arms for a while and calmed down a bit before getting up and cleaning the kitchen. After it was clean you walked towards the living room and picked up the tv remote ready to turn it off.
“You can sleep on the couch if you want. I’m exhausted and think I’m going to head to bed.”
Steve nodded and sat on the couch, you turned your attention back to the news that was playing. As you were about to turn it off your eyes spotted familiar brown hair in the background of a news reporter. You dropped the remote with a gasp and almost fell from surprise. You would have if it wasn't for Steve standing and steadying you. Suprise ran through your bones and your heart was racing a million miles an hour, you couldn’t breathe properly, you couldn’t even think straight.
“(y/n) what’s wrong?”
“B-Bucky. I saw him.”
 Steve frowned and looked at you in disbelief.
“Steve I’m serious look.”
You pointed to the tv but he was gone. Steve took the remote turning off the tv and walking you to your room.
“You’re tired and stressed (y/n). Your mind was playing tricks on you.”
 Steve kissed your head before exiting the room. You sat on your bed still in shock. Maybe Steve was right, but you had a gut feeling that you were too.

Calm in The Storm - Yoongi (Suga) Fluff/Angst
Tumblr media
Request: Could you do a BTS Suga imagine where he's really stressed about work and he starts snapping at everyone and the others called you to calm him down. Love your imagines 💕
Word Count: 2127
Genre: Fluff/Angst
Member/Group: Yoongi (Suga) of BTS
Summary: With a comeback coming soon, all the boys of BTS are more stressed than ever. Stress can bring anger with it, but there is always a way to get people to calm down.
A/N: Hi guys! I have a few drafts in the works, so multiple scenarios could possibly be posted this week. I am telling you guys, I may not post on Friday or Saturday because I have a few babysitting jobs lined up this weekend. (Oh the joy of being broke but too young to legally apply for a job in Texas... kms.)
 “Namjoon, what do you think about adding a piano section in right here?” Yoongi gestured to the bars displayed on the screen and pulled one side of his headphones off of his ears. Namjoon looked over the work that Yoongi had done and bopped his head as he tried to think of the lyrics that would be put over the beats and rhythms they were currently preparing. After a few seconds, Namjoon nodded and sent his sleepy eyed best friend a thumbs up.
 “I think it’ll work well with Jin’s solo vocals right here.” Namjoon walked back over to his spot at his desk and popped his earbuds back in as he continued to work.
 For the past few months, BigHit has been planning BTS’s comeback in the hopes of massive success across the globe. After the impressive records that the Wings album broke, the ever expanding crowd that was becoming enthralled in the group of young men continued to spread like wildfire. They were planning big things, and these plans included numerous tours and singles to keep the fans on the edge as they waited for their favorite group to come back. Recently, Yoongi and Namjoon had began to focus more and more on the production of the bases of their new songs as the rest of the boys attempted to draw inspiration from current events around the world and the people involved in them.
 The busy schedules, long rehearsals, and hours spent in the recording studio had never really managed to catch up to any of the boys until they were at home on break. Your boyfriend, Yoongi, was usually at least a tiny bit lethargic, yet he still managed to sleep even more as soon as the company let him go home for a few days off. You tried hard to support him by making sure a hot meal waited for him at home every night, cleaning the apartment, or anything else you could do. This usually all was done after you got home from work, but it didn’t matter; it was all for Yoongi, who you knew worked a hundred times harder than anybody else you knew.
 “Hey hey hey! We brought food for you two!” The other five members stumbled through the door to the studio, laughing and pushing each other even as they placed the bag of food on Yoongi’s desk. The aromatic scent of freshly cooked chicken wafted into Yoongi’s nose, but he simply sighed and pinched the brim of his nose.
 “Can you guys please calm down? I’m almost done composing the last part of this song and I’d rather not have to take a break to personally murder any of you.” An audible gulp came from every other boy in the room, and four of them sat down on the small black couch in the corner of the room. Jungkook, on the other hand, stepped towards the desk and meekly stretched his hand towards his hyung.
 “Yoongi-hyung? Why don’t you take a break and we can play Overwatch and have some lunch?” As soon as Jungkook’s hand found a spot on the grumpy man’s arm, Yoongi angrily swiveled around to face him.
 His small stature seemed huge to Jungkook now. His dark eyes seemed to grow even darker and a deep scowl took over the entire lower half of Yoongi’s pale face. Jungkook’s eyes widened, and he looked over to Namjoon as if pleading for help.
 “Look, I get that you get to go play around and be a kid or whatever the fuck it even is that you do, but I have real work to do. So if you want to have a friend to talk to, go somewhere else where they actually care, m’kay?” Yoongi harshly poked his finger at the maknae’s pale, terrified face as Jungkook began backing into the wall.
 Suddenly, it’s as if something broke inside of Yoongi. He shoved Jungkook back and began treading across the room, throwing notebooks and cups to the ground as he released low yells. Jin ushered the four boys out of the room as Namjoon tried to confront him, his phone tightly gripped in his right hand and her up to his face.
 “(Y/N)? Look, you need to come to the studio. It’s an emergency.”
 When you woke up, it was no surprise to you that the other side of the bed was empty. Almost everyday, it seemed like Yoongi was leaving earlier and arriving home later than the day before. This usually caused you to try to busy yourself with household chores until you had to leave for work as the shop manager at a local cosmetics store. It was a tiring job, a job that usually resulted in you walking through the door to your apartment at night with large blisters from your shoes and lines drawn all over your arms from showing swatches to curious customers.
 Even though you couldn’t help but be happier than ever to go home at the end of the day after a full day of work, you knew that you owed your new life to this job. A few years ago, you had been called in as a makeup artist to work with the boys of BTS. It was during your time spent there that you and Yoongi’s relationship had begun, the coldness melting away from his eyes and turning into concealed admiration. By the time you had to go back to your regular workplace, you and Yoongi had exchanged numbers and arranged dates at any and all free times the two of you were available. A few years later and here you are, living with the man you are sure you will one day get to meet at the end of the isle.
 As you got up to get ready, you noticed that the meal you had left out the night before for Yoongi hadn’t been touched or moved. There was no good morning note on the counter that Yoongi usually let ton the counter when he left early, which set off a lightbulb in your head. That bastard didn’t even come home last night.
 You quickly ate and took the train to work, and everything was normal as ever when your phone lit up with Jin’s smiling face. The phone buzzed and nearly fell off the counter before you sprinted over to pick it up and answer your close friend.
 “Hello?”
 “(Y/N)? Look, you need to come to the studio. It’s an emergency.” The desperation in Jin’s voice was obvious, and it made your heart begin beating at an alarming rate. What if something happened to Yoongi? How would you live with yourself knowing that you hadn’t sent him off with anything except for silence as you slept far into the morning hours?
 “What’s wrong? Did something happen with on of the boys?” Before Jin could answer, an audible yell accompanied by the loud shattering of a glass could be heard. “Never mind, I’m on my way.”
 After quickly explaining to a co-worker why you were taking off for the rest of the day, you bolted to the train station. At times like this, it really did suck not having a car. You waited for the train to come, and when it did you had to stop yourself from impatiently tapping your foot due to the glares from the older women sitting at the other end of the train. Luckily, you got to the studio quickly as there were few people actually using public transportation since it was a Monday afternoon.
 Entering through the large glass doors, you looked around and tried to find the boys. It didn’t take long to find where they where, because the yells coming from a room and the five boys huddled outside the door kind of gave away where Yoongi was.
 “(Y/N)! Thank god you are here! I think he started breaking things, and I haven’t heard any understandable words come out of his mouth or yells from Namjoon.” Jungkook quaked behind Jin, visibly shaking as the rest of the maknae line and Hoseok laughed at him quietly.
 “Is there any way to tell Namjoon to get out of there? I want to let him be alone for at least a minute so he can calm down a bit before I talk to him.” Jin nodded and pulled out his phone to shoot Namjoon a quick text.
 A few seconds after Jin hit send, a disheveled looking Namjoon slipped out the door. In the spilt second that he had the door open, the familiar grunts that could only be produced by your boyfriend pierced the air. Namjoon’s eyes were open wide and his face held a look of pure terror. His t-shirt had obviously been grabbed in an attempt to shove him away, as evidenced by the two large mountains that had been imprinted on the fabric.
 “I’ve never seen him that mad. (Y/N), are you sure you want to go in there? I don’t think he’s even slept in the past 24 hours...” You nodded and managed to put on a brave face.
 “Yoongi is my boyfriend, he would never hurt me. Don’t worry, if all goes well then we will be out in the next few minutes.” The boys nodded, and you reached for the cool metal of the door handle. Grasping it in your hand, you took one big breath before entering the room.
 The only word that came to your mind was chaos. There was broken glass scattered across the floor, a few chairs lying on their sides, books everywhere, pillows thrown recklessly across the room, and in the middle of it all was Yoongi. He was crouched over on the ground heaving, his whole midsection expanding with each breath he took. His freshly dyed hair was tangled from his hands running through it roughly, and hot tears were streaming down his now rosy cheeks. One last sniffle escaped his body, and then he finally looked up at you.
 When your eyes met, you almost burst into tears. His eyes held so many emotions; anger, frustration, sadness, worry, but most of all, fear. In al the time you had dated Yoongi, he had never looked scared once. Even when he met your parents, he continued to radiate with the confidence and over likability that had drawn you to him in the first place. It was hard to believe that this was your boyfriend, but you walked over to him anyway.
 No words were needed. You pulled him into your embrace and he tensed up for a second before melting into your arms. His right hand came up to the back of your head and he held you closer than he ever had before.
 “Yoongi, tell me what’s wrong.”
 “(Y/N) I... I’m so... worried. At least, thats what I think I am. The deadlines are coming faster and faster, but the music just isn’t flowing like it usually does. All I feel is what I can only imagine death feels like.” His dark circles and eye bags stood out against his pale face, and you pulled back to make eye contact with him.
 “Yoongi, it’s going to be okay. You and the boys always produce amazing songs, and the music will come to you soon.” He nodded, pouting like a small child. His chest had finally stopped heaving, and he looked much more like his usual self. “Yoongi, I am taking you home. I am going to make you a big meal, you are going to eat all of it, and then you are going to sleep. I think the reason you are having such a hard time is because you need some rest.”
 He nodded, and you stood up. Towering above his crouched figure, you outstretched your hand towards him. “Come on, let’s go home.”
 The boys sighed with relief as soon as they saw you both step out of the room. Jungkook stepped forward and glanced up at Yoongi with his doe eyes.
 “Hyung, I am so sorry that I made you mad. I didn’t mean to, I just wanted to help you.”
 “Jungkook, it’s okay. Guys, (Y/N)’s taking me home with her. She said I need to rest, and for once I agree with her.” The boys nodded in agreement and sent Yoongi a few quick goodbyes before running off to continue practicing.
 “So, how about chicken soup for dinner?” You intertwined your warm hand with Yoongi’s, and you both began walking to catch the train back home.

Stop Looking at Him
Tumblr media
Peter Parker X Reader
Word Count: 2135
Author: The one who is completely obsess with Peter, Kate
Warnings: Um... Kissing? There’s a fight scene...
A/N: HECK YES GUYS!!! First, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to ‘anonymous’ for the PROMPT and requesting this fic! It’s my favorite one that I’ve written. Anyways... Guys! Can’t you tell how much better my writing is when I have a prompt? AND it’s not so fluffy that you’re suffocating in all the fluff... Okay, sorry, sorry go ahead and read the fic now...
“Y/N!” Peter whispered. You were both in History class, in the computer lab, working on a research project that you had paired up with your best friend, Peter Parker for. Well, you were supposed to be working on the project, anyway.
“What?” You breathed back through the pen that you were subconsciously chewing on, your eyes still focused on Daniel through the monitors. This was the only class you could secretly spy on your semi-crush without anyone catching your gaze. Unfortunately, Peter knew you better than anyone, sometimes even your self. And, he was also slightly jealous that Daniel was getting more of your attention than he was. A few months ago, he had started developing feelings for you, but then he got bit by that spider, and he couldn’t tell you. He just couldn’t put you in that danger of being in a relationship with a superhero.
“You’re doing it again!” Peter said, looking at you exasperatedly. You looked at him, biting your lip. You could stay on track most of the time, but you had completed today’s work yesterday, while Peter was out of class, for some reason.
“Doing what?” You asked guiltily, knowing perfectly well what Peter was accusing you of.
“Y/N, you’re staring at Daniel! And we’re supposed to be working!” Peter looked at you with round eyes. You bit your lip harder, trying to contain a blush. You didn’t think that Peter would be watching you.
“I’m not looking at him!” You insisted, cringing at your high-pitched voice. It always was higher when you were lying or mad. Peter titled his head to the side, laying on his unbelief very heavily. You huffed, and went back to your computer, checking that all your deadlines for the project were set. Finding nothing to do, you opened up the school newspaper online. Your article came up first under the title New York’s Very Own Masked Hero. Peter looked at your screen disinterestedly. ‘Another one?’ he thought. For weeks, he had been trying to dissuade you from following Spider-Man so closely, seeing as he loved you too much to put you in that danger of knowing that your best friend was the one under the mask. He wished he could tell you, but he wouldn’t until it put you in more danger to not know.
Growing bored with your article drafts, you started zoning out, taking a peak around your monitor every once in a while to sneak another look at Daniel. Peter noticed your frequent head movements, and grew more frustrated with your behavior.
“Stop looking at him!” His tone caught your attention right away, it was full of annoyance at you, and it was quite obvious you were daydreaming, as normal.
“Peter, we’ve already finished our wor-”
“You like him, don’t you?” He asked, accusingly. You stuck your tongue out at him. Peter cracked, and a smile shone through his annoyance. You turned back to your computer, trying to focus and actually get this survey up online. Slowly, so you wouldn’t notice, Peter slipped a black notebook from your backpack. Though he wasn’t supposed to know what it was, Peter knew it was full of all your writing prompts and fanfics. On more than one occasion, he had found stories of Spider-Man saving you, and it had always helped him focus during long nights of stopping crime. He just wanted to check one thing. If you were having difficulty analyzing a situation, or you were very emotional about something, you would often write stories from multiple different viewpoints to help you calm down and remember exact details. He opened to the last entry he had read, and flipped through a few more of the pages. Just skimming the pages, he saw titles for ‘Daniel and the Dinosaurs’ which was apparently another one of your nightmares that “dream” Daniel had saved you from. There were also imagines about movie nights, and just becoming closer to Daniel. Peter mocked the name in his head, feeling more down by the second. He wasn’t included in any of these stories, where as before, he normally had a 1:3 ratio.
‘Maybe she would like me better than him if she knew I was Spider-Man.’ Thought Peter, as he saw yet another Spider-Man fan page. He slipped the notebook back, and rested his jaw on his crossed arms, trying to ignore his thoughts of revealing his secret.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, school was out for the day, and History class had been moved to the black depths of your memory. You skipped up to Peter’s locker, a pencil behind your ear, and your notebook in your arms.
“Hey, Peter! Guess what!” You laughed ecstatically. He looked up from his backpack, which always seemed to be stuffed, even on the days you didn’t have homework, and smiled. Your conscious noticed the smile didn’t nearly reach his eyes, like they normally do, but you shook it off.
“What’s up?” He asked, focusing back on his locker.
“I totally nailed our Algebra test!” You grinned. “Guess all that tutoring paid off, huh, Parker?” He smiled an answer, and this one was sad, too. You were about to ask what was wrong when your phone beeped an alert from your police scanner app.
“Armed robbery on 13th.” You read out loud. MIdtown wasn’t far from there, and if your hurried, you might be able to get some pictures of Spider-Man in action.
“I’ve got... I’ve got to go.” Peter sputtered, pulling on his backpack quickly.
“Yeah, me too.” You clicked your phone off.
“Y/N, don’t go to the robbery.” Peter said quickly.
“And why not? What if Spider-Man is there? I can get some great pic-”
“Just... don’t. It’s dangerous. What if you get hurt?” You didn’t get to answer; Peter was already gone.
“Spider-Man will make sure I won’t.” You smiled, pulling a battered camera out of your backpack. You tried to run fast through the streets, bumping into multiple people who threw dirty looks at your back. Slowly and cautiously, you rounded the corner of 13th, and snapped a few shots of the police barricades. You continued round the mob of people, and surreptitiously slipped through the police. The bank came into view, and you heard a loud voice echoing through the building. You silently slunk through the doors, and squatted, your camera at the ready.
“So, Spidey, looks like your all webbed up.” A coarse voice laughed. Again, you moved silently closer to the action. You expected to see the burglars stuck in webs, as was normal. Instead you saw your hero plastered to the wall in a net of webs that looked significantly different from the formula that you had spent months memorizing. Spider-Man was stuck. You gasped, and 3 men wielding guns and daggers turned at the sound. The eyes on Spider-Man’s mask widened with the proportion of his actual eyes.
“NO! Y/N GET OUT OF HERE!” Peter yelled, his chest rising rapidly. You turned to run, but the biggest man with a dagger caught your arm, and twisted it painfully behind your back. Your eyes filled with terror as you felt the cold metal of the dagger push your throat. Peter was going berserk. He twisted back and forth through the web, trying anything to get to you, to save you.
“Look at that, boys. Spider-kid has a girlfriend!” The robber laughed, pressing the dagger even tighter against your throat. Your breathing was uneven and shallow as you felt the skin break underneath the pressure.
“Please, please don’t hurt h-her. Do whatever you want-t to me, but don’t hurt her.” Spider-Man pleaded as he saw a bead of crimson blood roll down your snow white neck. Peter searched his mind frantically for anything, anything that would help. If he tried to cut open the web, you would die. If he tried to web the dagger, you would die. An idea came to him as he saw a tear roll out of your crystal blue eyes. He had installed that frequency emitter next to his web shooters. It would emit a sound frequency that would shock the villains into a neurological stupor until the police came, and he could reach it the button. He looked at you again, and realized it would affect you too. And he had never tested it before to see if the effect was permanent.
“WHY YOU LITTLE BRAT!” The villain holding Y/N screamed. You had twisted your head to bite his arm, and you also stepped on his foot to try and release his grip. He loosened his grip slightly, and you twisted out of his arm, but his dagger caught the flesh underneath your shoulder deep. You tripped, and one of the other robbers caught you, pressing his gun into your cut. Tears filled your eyes as the gun rubbed the wound. The man you had bitten pulled out a pistol, and aimed in straight at your forehead.
“Hope you don’t mind, Spidey, but I’m going to have to kill the girl.” He said, cocking the gun. Peter slammed the frequency button, hoping against hope it would do something. Time seemed to slow as Peter watched the trigger being pulled, and then everyone collapsed in their spots. Peter cut the web, and fell on the floor, terrified to see what state you were in. You were sprawled on the ground, a tear still midway down your cheek. Peter anxiously held you to his chest, checking your forehead for any wounds. The trajectory of the bullet had been messed up when the robber fell, and had grazed the skin just above your right eye, but it wasn’t deep. Peter breathed for the first time in a minute, and picked you up like a baby.

You woke up suddenly on a small bed. Your heavily bandaged arm ached from the muscle spasm of regaining consciousness, and you felt extremely dizzy sitting up. You fell back onto the bed.
“Y/N. You’re awake. Thank goodness you’re awake.” A blurry version of Spider-Man’s mask swam into your eyesight. You mouthed a question, but no noise came out.
“Y/N. Y/N. Do you remember me?” Spider-Man asked in a very familiar voice.
“How-how do you know my name?” You asked, your head throbbing. That was Peter’s voice, but he couldn’t be Spider-Man. You were just hallucinating.
“I-uh. I’ve read your articles about me.” The hero obviously lied, turning his head down just like Peter normally does. You looked around as your vision cleared. Peter’s room. You were in Peter’s room on his bed. Why would Spider-Man be in Peter’s room? You reached up to the mask with shaky fingers. Peter instantly froze at your touch. It felt like a zap of electricity through the mask. You bit your lip, and pulled the mask off. Your hand fell back to your side as Peter’s face was unveiled. A thousand, no a million questions raced through your mind as gibberish stumbled out of your mouth. Peter’s eyebrows knit together in guilt.
“Peter? You’re Spider-Man?” You croaked. He nodded solemnly. You started laughing as it all came together. The missed classes, the sad smiles, the dog-eared Spider-Man fics in your notebook, the secrecy...
“Y/N? Are you okay?” Peter was very concerned at your abrupt laughter.
“Ugh. I feel so stupid! Please tell me you weren’t the one that was reading my Spider-Man stories! Peter!” You giggled at his smile.
“You, you’re not mad that I didn’t tell you?”
“Peter, I’m so mad that I could kill you, but can we save that for later when I have full use of my arms?” He smiled, and your melted at the sight of your protector. Your Spider-Man. Your Peter. Your best friend. All the same person, the boy that stole your heart.
Neither of you could say exactly what happened in that moment, but your hearts started beating as one.
“Peter, I think I love you.” You whispered. Slowly, Peter leaned closer to you, until his breath tickled your lips, his arms supporting his weight of either side of you. You tilted your head up until your lips connected. Peter melted into your touch. His arms wrapped under your back, and you felt his biceps flex as he sighed against your neck.
“So, do you like me better than Daniel?” He mumbled. You didn’t answer until he lifted his head to look into your eyes. You sighed at the sight of his warm brown eyes so close to yours.
“Remember when you told me to stop looking at him?” You asked him, and he smiled, awaiting your response. “Well, I guess you were right, because I like looking at you a lot more.” He leaned in for another kiss, and your lips smiled against his.
