It bugs the hell out of me that there are no consequences for breaking up with Astarion after becoming his spawn. I don't care if he's lost interest or whatever, and I'm sure I can see how this response might make sense (something, something entertained by the defiance when he's surrounded by terrified sycophants. You're his property anyway, no matter where you go or what you do. As your master he can take you back any time he feels like it, and you're not a threat. etc etc) - but that's not the point. What appears to be a total lack of downsides or even any acknowledgement whatsoever in the epilogue for a risky and bad choice (ie becoming a vampire spawn, and furthermore; insulting your master and running away), irks me on a narrative level.
