Something quite sad that I've inferred about Yonji is that out of all of his brothers I think he's a self-made daddies boy with a desire in some way to be unique but sees himself as his fathers most expendable pawn (if not for Sanji).
In terms of hierarchy, Ichiji is the first son who is being primed to become king and if he were to die then it would have naturally been Niji to take his place but the possibility of all 3 brothers dying before Yonji could be given the mantle was naturally very low so he had nothing really expected of him or to really grasp onto in terms of individuality, leaving him to being a follower.
Whether it's to his elder siblings or to his father, being a follower was the best he was ever going to get in their family as long as he stayed within the line and did as he was told.
But what's really sad is that ALL of the Vinsmoke siblings on some level are clearly emulating their mother--because in terms of design, they all wear their hair in a similar fashion to hers. Except for Yonji.
Instead, he wears his hair...like the clones.
He's the only brother to show both sides of his face, he's the only brother amongst the 3 eldest children that has a more unique favorite food and he's also the only one whose scarf color doesn't match his hair color...but instead, it matches Judge's color.
It seems like becoming a daddies boy was literally all that he could do in an effort to not be the easiest to sacrifice but it also seems like he understands he's ultimately just a foot soilder that has no say in his position.
He's constantly shown paying attention to his father and perhaps subconsciously reflecting aspects of his self-absorbed father back at him to feed into that ego so he won't be discarded as easily as Sanji was.
I think he genuinely thinks that he's helping Sanji when he beats him up or parrots what his father says because he thinks that maybe that's what it would take to make it click for Sanji so then they could all be together and be a family again.
And I think that Sanji becoming the family black sheep and scapegoat was honestly a huge relief to him on some level because it was something they could all focus on as a unit and it took the peering eyes off of him and his own shortcomings. Because if Sanji had been born as intended, Yonji knew that he would have been the runt.
Everything that happened to Sanji was what would have happened to Yonji ultimately for underperforming. He would have been the weakest link.
(Which is why he worked way harder to become a tank of a man, by the way. He doesn't want to fall short of the 1 expectation Judge actually does have of him.)
In spite of everything though, I think Yonji was the one that was the most excited to see Sanji again. And not just to bully him, I think he genuinely on some level just missed his older brother.
As I've said before, if they had gotten the opportunity to have been born under normal conditions, they would have been really close being the two babies and all. He and Sanji would have most absolutely been the most sensitive of the siblings and would have had a unique dynamic different from the eldest 3.
That's why I think he ultimately went with Reiju to pick him up and that's why I think that for all of his big talk he didn't seem to actually hold grudges against Sanji like the other two very obviously do.
It almost seemed like sometimes he kept going out of his way to just connect with Sanji and help him see his (bad and wrong) point-of-view.
In this scene he looked so excited to share this secret with his older brother, impassioned even. Trying to make him see the faux brilliance of Germa and Judge that he was indoctrinated into believing was something amazing.
There was literally no real reason for him to go out of his way to tell Sanji about this other than the attempt to connect with him. It was his weird way of letting him into the family and he didn't get it when Sanji naturally recoiled from it.
It's subtle, but he's the only one that clearly wanted Sanji to be his brother again but doesn't know how to reach him or why it's not working.
And it's sad. The Vinsmokes don't have friends, they only have enemies and blood. They only have eachother, and Yonji seems to have wanted his big brother to like him and to understand him. But he's so poisoned and he's hurt his brother so badly that they could never be close. And he doesn't even know why.
Yonji has seemingly given up and resigned to his fate, whatever it may be. He knows he's not special or worth much in his father's eyes or in the hierarchy. He even fantasizes about being married off into Big Mom's family just to have something different, something of his own.
For survival, he imitates the father that took everything from them. And he's told that he's supposed to be nothing but he very clearly wants to be Something. To have anything.
It's just one of the many subtle tragedies present in this family, and it's so sad.

About Aunt May. In one of your posts you said he's not acting as aggressive towards her as towards others but still roars at her
Does it mean he's okay with her showing her love and care or does he hate it?
Oh my anonymous anonical anon, he ABSOLUTELY hates it and if it wasn't for the deal he and Peter made, he would have tore her to pieces. Literally. He literally can do it XD
But it's not a "I hate it because I'm not Peter, i'm what i am, so i can hate it!" hate, too simple and boring for me to work with.
No. It's something more... complicated.
His hate towards it is more of a "You unlock your true power only in tough and hard times, but with someone who's always ready to help and stops you before you cross a line, you'll never reach your true potential" hate.
Plus, he hates to see pity on her face and how much she tries to help him. It disgusts him because he DOESN'T need anyone or their pity.
I don't need to remind you how much the Goblin Serum twists a mind of the "infected" one because I don't think you're stupid and need to be reminded of this. I'm sure you're very smart/gen
So, in other words, there's a lot of shit and drama goin to be brought up and rising VERY soon. =]

as someone with a guilty pleasure for isekai and time regression stories I am just thinking of a story where Husk dies and wakes up during the height of his Overlord days with the memories of everything that would happen and has just. From the outside perspective become a completely different person overnight and changed his ways (read: the morals he gained during his afterlife he applies to how he, uh... Overlords?).
A Husk whose last soul deal is to get Angel Dust away from Valentino (and offers Angel his freedom, which Angel possibly decides not to take for the time being bc it'd be safer for him to be under contract than not, with Valentino as mad as he is), and who avoids making bets/deals with Alastor like the plague. Starts building alliances with other Overlords (maybe even including Alastor, albeit reluctantly) to steadily create a support network/team (which is also useful when going up against the Vees once they're established), and just bides his time until Charlie and Vaggie open their hotel- which, at the time of his death, he had come to love and support the cause of.
And Husk is ready to be the hotel's sponsor, immediately. Alastor gets there and finds Husk beat him to it (seeing as Husk knows about it before the interview even airs), but unlike Alastor with his ulterior motives, Husk actually wants to help.
After all, he died for the hotel, and its people, once upon a time

The thing what kills me what it's not even OOC for the team to work with Gortash. You can canonically do that.
Wyll and Karlach don't even leave the party if you do that, you don't even have to make a roll to convince them.
You can either abandon Ravengard or save him BEHING GORTASH'S BACK after you've already killed Orin and solidified your pact and he went to the Morphic Pool. Like this is legit the thing I did in one on my playthroughs.
He canonically only attacks you if you attack him first, give him the stones (proving yourself to be weak) or if you went to a place he Explicitly told you Not To Go.
He calls you before you enter the Iron Throne and tells you not to do that. It's a direct warning and pretty much the only line you can't cross. You can destroy Steel Watch Foundry and STILL he offers an alliance.
(Fr how desperate is he for an ally??? Hello?? @ Mr Bane's Chosen, I don't think Bane approves???? You got this whole tyranny thing a lil wrong???)
His downfall is HIMSELF; if he did not go for that dumb stones grab he'd survive, but also he KNOWS they're going to fail in confronting the Brain, he pretty much states it in the convo next to a Morphic Pool, but he still pushes to try it, to meet the downfall on his terms.
I'm pretty sure it would be possible to convince him the Elder Brain needs to be destroyed because it became uncontrollable and is too much of a threat now (the things you can't control should be destroyed, yadda yadda, survival is a strong instinct and would win against thirst for power bc power is a means of survival too and power can be achieved elsewhere, meanwhile in death he is sentenced to Bane's wrath)
All the possible scenarios where his death by Netherbrain's command does not happen cloud my mind and I suffer. They could have had it all! Even Good!tav/Durge could have a Good Ending(hero of Forgotten Realms) and alliance with Gortash.
We could have had it all!!!

So here's another example of how low Izuku's self worth is. While Izuku has had setbacks (mostly injuries to himself), this fight against Shouto is Izuku's first real loss since All Might became his mentor. And Izuku immediately thinks All Might wants to replace him.
All Might using Shouto as a reference point for how One for All would work for someone with another quirk only solidifies to Izuku that he might want Shouto as a replacement. He has the backstory and the power of a main character after all. (It's obviously unintentional on All Might's part. That man couldn't read the room to save his life.)
