The phone was messily propped up against the headboard, the room was dark. But that wasn't the main attraction of the recording, no.

Your legs began trembling and a sweet, thick feeling welled up in your stomach. "Ahh, im close", the Aussie whined loudly. His thrusts became sloppy, but faster. Sunoo was among the best teaching assistants you could have ever asked for.
You two were only a couple years apart and given you were a new professor it made the transition to the university all the easier.
As a professor, you knew people like him were a dime a dozen: he never complained when he had to stay longer and help you grade, always attended meetings on time, and was highly attentive to your students.
But that was only for you of course.
Sunoo bounced his leg underneath his desk as he watched you laugh jubilantly with one of your students at the desk across from yours, already fuming at the fact that the student brought you coffee.
Just breathe, you can deal with the student later, just not in front of Miss.
He kept repeating it to himself over and over but he was truly at his wit's end, not missing the glances that said student tried to make down your button-up shirt.
He'd had enough.
"Ma'am has a meeting to attend in ten minutes so if you'd please leave so she can get prepared," Sunoo said through a tight-lipped smile. He stood up and escorted the student out the door, softly locking it so no one else could come in and disrupt his precious time with you.
"I didn't realize I had a meeting today, was it put on my calendar last minute?" you asked, searching through your emails to see if you'd missed anything.
"You'd be correct. But I could tell from your body language that he was making you feel uncomfortable," Sunoo answered smiling.
As soon as the emotion came it was gone, a tightening in his chest beginning to form when you shook your head.
"On the contrary! He was very sweet, it's rare for my students to stop by and make conversation so easily with me. Plus he even got me coffee," you responded, freezing when Sunoo took the coffee from your hands.
"It's best not to drink things from students professor, he very well could've put something in it," he excused, throwing it in the trash before you could rebuttal.
The air in the room had gotten colder and you could feel it, standing up and following him back over to his desk to talk.
"Hey is everything okay? You seem tense," you inquired with concern, placing a hand on his shoulder while he sat down.
Sunoo shook his head stiffly, trying his best to remain calm at the sentiments you seemed to harbor towards the student.
"Well let me know, all you're a cherished coworker to me."
Sunoo swore his heart turned to ice for a moment.
Coworker.
Coworker.
Coworker.
"Is that all I am to you? Just a coworker?" Sunoo said icily, the remark marking you step back a bit at how glazed his eyes had gone.
"W-well I don't know," you stammered out, almost tripping on your heels at the shift in the room.
Before you could realize Sunoo had turned you around and pinned you to the desk, quickly undoing his tie and using it to bind your wrists.
"I wish you'd see me more than just a "coworker"," he said, words dripping with venom. You could feel your heart racing in your ears as he flipped you onto your back now that you couldn't move, Sunoo holding your knees firmly so you couldn't kick him.
"S-sunoo, you know these types of relationships are frowned upon," you attempted to reason with him. A shudder left your body as he bent over and popped the buttons of your blouse open, a slender finger running down your midline.
"Then we just won't tell anyone now will we?" He bent over and messily kissed your neck, your legs shaking around his waist as you murmured for him to "stop before he regrets it", Sunoo laughing as he held your face in his hands.
"Professor I've waited for so long for you to notice me. But you never did, always caught up with men who were too pathetic to even exist," he whispered against your face, stroking your cheek gently.
He sensed your fear and kissed your nose gently, giving you a soft smile that gave you goosebumps.
"Don't worry I'm gonna be gentle. I was never one to break my toys from being too rough."

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THANK YOU!!!!! can I just say that I LOVE writing geto and his subtle cult leader tendencies in the poly au like YES gaslight gatekeep girlboss (but in moderation lmfao) It's really the small moments where you could think that yeah...this is a guy that totally went off the rails and started a cult lmfao...he keeps his manipulative tendencies but channels them into forcing ripmc to take care of herself and [redacted] he's so awful I love him truly!!!!!
niku also brought up stsg knowing spoiler alert......they know and they definitely aren't happy she talked about it with nanami instead of them. they wanted her to tell them of her own volition, so expect the mission to come back up again in a later chapter lol also for all of ripmc's many faults I genuinely think she can do no bad in their eyes. if she did something it's justified unless it's directly impacted her health as in she put herself in danger and got grievously injured. I can definitely see them getting actually upset and angry with her for that but if anything the repercussions are more like....ripmc being stuck in a room for a week and getting coddled to death until stsg deem it enough 😭
It's not that stsg care about cheating it's more the fact that they are very secure in their relationship with each other and aren't worried about it. gojo might occasionally be annoyed and even pissed when they're arguing about geto being popular but it's never that serious. on the other hand ripmc.... 😭😭 ripmc would never cheat on them and they know it but she's also the most likely to entertain flirtations without knowing someone is flirting with her. when stsg jokingly flirt with another person they're always in control of the situation. they know which lines shouldn't be crossed. they use it as a means to purposefully get the other jealous. sometimes they try to make ripmc jealous and it backfires! another thing is the fact that because the line between lover and friend is so blurred in regards to stsg she doesn't quite understand that there are certain things that only a "boyfriend" gets to do to her which further translates to her not having any sense of boundaries with other people just like she doesn't have any sense of boundaries with stsg. obviously stsg wouldn't be happy about that �� if ripmc kissed someone else they probably approached her and asked if they could and she just said yes bc she couldn't find a reason to say no dhjsnfjsndb anyway they'd be more peeved than anything and they'd make it a point to make sure nothing like that ever happens again [ominous]
ANYWAY yeahhhhhhhhh I just think about geto a disproportionate amount aka so much it's unhealthy I'm so obsessed with him

When neteyam came to awaatlu, you were amazed by how quick he adapted to the environment. Your father had instructed you to help the sully children learn the metkayina ways and while Neteyam's brother, Lo'ak, took a while to concentrate due to your sister's presence, Neteyam was very compliant.
His breathing settled down very quickly outside of the water, but in water lessons were harder for him to follow. He found himself showing up late to lessons and sometimes missing them because of constantly having to pull his brother out of shenanigans that he got himself into.
Which is why you offered Neteyam private lessons. You would sneak out of your pod, late at night, checking first if your parents were asleep and then walking down to the beach. Not a minute later, Neteyam appeared next to you reaching his hand out to you and dragging you into the ocean.
It was obvious that the boy was very eager to learn your ways and to connect with the sea creatures you told him stories about. What you didn't know was that he was eager for you. He left lessons with an idiotic smile on his face that stayed on until his eyes closed off for the night
You were not the only one who noticed. His brother teased him about his drooling face whenever you opened your mouth to speak. His sister would typically defend him but when it was obvious she wasn't shy in expressing her assumptions. I mean even Tuk noticed.
"Neteyam, when can we go see your girlfriend?" She asked making every head in the kitchen turn.
"Girlfriend?" Both of his parents whipped their head around and looked at the rosy face of Neteyam's.
"Shhh, Tuk" He fakely smiled at his parents and poked the side of Tuk's waist.
At some point, he gave up and confessed. He was tired of wondering whether you felt the same way or not so he gave in to his thoughts.
"I like you," He eyebrows furrowed and his heartbeat quickened.
"I know you do, Kiri told me" You giggled, watching his cheeks grow redder from the embarrassment. Deciding to stop torturing the poor boy, you confessed your own feelings for him, ending the day with a sweet kiss.
Now, all of that sweetness had washed away. Your father had found out that you were seeing Neteyam for quite some time now and he was not happy. He was very reluctant with letting the Sully family stay in his land in the first place, but his daughter with a Sully kid? Unacceptable to him.
He called Neteyam to the hub to sort out the situation. Thinking Neteyam would get a scolding from your father, you shot him a soft smile with your eyes, apologizing in advance. He nodded and smiled back at you.
"How do you expect to get the position as the protector of these people when you are so irresponsible? You don't know how much trouble this boy is! Have you seen the chaos him and his brother have caused and they've only been here a few weeks" Your father paced around the pod and you two were standing across from each other, heads down.
Tsireya and Ao'nung were standing beside you, silent as they were scared to say anything to your fuming father. Your mother was standing beside him, arms crossed and occasionally contributing to the conversation.
"You are not even halfway through your training and you are already sneaking out with boys! And now you are dragging the boy into your shenanigans!" She pointed at Neteyam and yelled at you for your "immaturity".
Your father turned to the sully family, "I apologize for my daughter's irresponsible behavior. She should have never dragged your son into this," Before any one of them could speak, Neteyam answered.
"With all due respect sir, you are wrong. This is not her fault, I dragged her into my mess. She shouldn't be punished for my wrongdoings." Jake stood up and held the boys arm.
"You've done enough," He pointed a finger at Neteyam's face and then turned to your parents. "Excuse my son's manners, he still has a lot to learn. And he is sorry for causing so much commotion," Tonowari nodded them off and the sully family left. Neteyam shot you one painful look as you were fighting tears.
"I did not expect this from you. You are supposed to be responsible. You are supposed to think about these things," He pinched his nose with his fingers and he looked up at your tear stained face.
"Don't cry for this boy, daughter. You will find another one like him when its the right time."
With tears in your mouth and pain in your voice, you responded softly "I don't want someone like him, I want Neteyam. He is my person. How do you not see that?" You stormed out of the pod before he could say anything.
And it didn't matter if he did, you wanted Neteyam.

You did a really good job with creating the world of WOW and the sinister goings on behind the scenes, it’s so uncomfortable in the best way possible!! Like imagine being a customer there and then finding out what they’re doing, and you’re like “oh my god I gave money to them what have I done” kind of thing! Aaaaah so good

Haha a new subtitle of ‘pure fangirl impressions’ because i have too many thoughts to organize right now
I’m really happy with how they adapted these chapters for 115. I feel they serve to ENHANCE and even surpass the novel version at some point (!!!)
Yeah hi Papa Felipe, barging in and dropping off the remnants of Lari’s diary. (Novel detail only: he noticed Lari was gone and asked if that was why Rupert looked like shit lol)
Novel detail: Lehan remembers him because he was out wandering and randomly taught the troops chemistry one day (chap 86)
Novel detail: the page were burnt into crumbs, but in the manhwa some pages were left intact, but damaged. I prefer this because Rupert actually has more info to glean from
I LOVE RUPERT’S EXPRESSION OF SHOCK AAAA. Haha he forgets lehan was standing there for a while and finally dismisses him
Rupert finally figures out the inexplicable part of Lari: things make sense because she regressed.
The heartbreaking thing is he see her words (manhwa only) that include: [ It’s horrible. I don’t want to beg to live like this]. [I won’t die like that again] and… [I returned from death].
he then has a flashback to their first meeting and during the gun scene and recalls how he knew from the start how fake she was, to pretend she was bubbly and clueless but the moment he turned around she would give him a look of pure hatred and fear, and felt as if if he let his guard down she’d stab him in the back. But eventually he forgot because she said nice things to him and he felt comfortable around her, and eventually those feelings grew to the point where he wanted to grab her and kiss her
The manhwa changes the wording a bit - while in the novel it’s like [i want to kiss her], the manhwa says [like a beast, i wanted to kiss her] (or something like that - but the important thing is AS OF CHAPTER 78, PER THE MANHWA, HE IS THIRSTING FOR HER SO STRONGLY ALREADY!!!
In the novel, it doesn’t give readers a specific timeframe of when he started developing feelings - so I expected a random scene. But NOOO they used Ch 78.. so then by Ch 78, if he feels this strongly.. then that slightly changes how one would potentially see the entirety of S3, because it would change from “Ah his feelings are growing slowly and steadily” to “wait he’s loved her so much this whole time? So in this moment…” Omggg!!! I’m re-reading some scenes and having so much fun with it ><
THEY DID BETTER THAN I IMAGINED FOR THE SOFA SCENE.
yes, they included a panel of her saying he should upgrade his furniture, but also a few panels of her being around the room making random comments and calling out to him while smiling. He misses her calls that muchhhhh T_T
Ah the tori scene in the last third. Instead of making her give a weird fake smile, they left her emotionless. But she still mimicked Lari’s hug, to which Rupert gently distanced her away.
We get a nice flashback to how Tori was created, with poor Rupert hiding behind Eva while watching Tori beg for her to stop.
This is such good paneling to end the chapter, because it makes the reader think “Oh no, with lari gone, he’s in despair he only has Tori (Eva) left, he’s shackled down again… will he become a tyrant again???
and the answer is no, Rupert is approaching his “black bread stalker guy” phase HAHHA.
In terms of what they’ll adapt next week in 116, there’s a 50% they’ll give us a Rupelali reunion. It’s hard to say because there’s a lot of skippable filler content with the backstory of Lari’s village life // and Lehan + Rupert antics.. BUT IT INCLUDES THE LEAF SCENE… but again, is skippable stuff.
The next few chapters is essentially the same scene as well, with Lari’s POV first, then Rupert’s POV.. (like Ch 97/98) so will be interesting to see what they do.
