just watched the new ghostbusters movie with my friend and truly, awkward teenage lesbians will both end and save the world.
#guys i have a type#blonde girls who are manipulated due to/by family and end up fighting for the side of good anyways#i saw melody and her Issues™️ and got attached to a dead girl#her whole thing with phoebe was gay as fuck tho you cant convince me#they did the thing that natasha did in what if to peggy where she looked back at Phoebe longingly and then stepped into the light#truly a tragedy that she was. yknow. dead and her whole arc was moving on into the afterlife#so she couldn’t have a sapphic little relationship with mckenna grace#some of the writing was kind of weak and it felt like a lot of fan service cause a lot of the characters didn’t do anything during#the climax of the movie or i just didn’t care for their story#but it’s really fun as a movie itself and i highly enjoyed myself so honestly that’s all that matters to me#ghostbusters frozen empire#phoebe spengler#melody ghostbusters#nat’s rambles

going through the tag was so much fun before the movie dropped, now i get annoyed at every other post i see. the expectations some of you had for this movie? unfathomable to me. imagine they had included june and rafael and leo and all the plot points you cry about not making the final cut and think about the scenes they would have had to delete to make room for all of that. idk about y'all but i rather have them focus on the love story and make the most of that instead of taking bits and pieces from every other storyline without fleshing out any of them. would it have made a great tv show? YES. did we get a tv show? no, we got a movie and a damn good one at that. if you miss june or "cornbread knows my sins, henry" that's valid but how about you just read the book again? it isn't gone just because the movie came out. read the book, love the book and simply view the movie as additional content instead of a replacement of the source material, it's not that hard.

Hank with an Eldritch Horror Reader
Here's another thing I wrote two years back! It was an interesting concept which I really liked, so I actually really enjoyed writing this request!
Hank J Wimbleton was a grunt of many things, but not one to be scared unless he had a good reason to be. There were many things in this world he did not understand, you were one of them. Upon meeting you, his first instinct would have been to either fight or run away - who could blame him, it was all he knew. No matter how many times you reassured him that the very last thing you wanted to do was to harm him, he’d draw his weapon, uncertain of whether or not he should believe your words.
Once you show no resistance towards him whatsoever and simply restrain him using your powers or other methods, that’s when, thrashing around as much as he could, he would start listening. You may or may not have seen a grunt up close, but this was your chance to finally examine one. As you scrutinise him from every possible angle Hank realises that you were simply curious about his being and finally lowers weapon.
Your voice would likely hurt his head and freeze the blood in his veins, so you might have to resort to telepathy or speak through a marionette, if you can find one. Though, once Hank’s interest in you has been piqued, he’d be more than happy to find you one. A lot of people in Nevada seem to be redundant in the first place. Regarding telepathy: You will be able to have a two-way conversation with Hank like that, but, for the most part, he doesn’t think in words. Still, he can do so, if needed.
If you’re on the rather small side, he will make an effort to pick you up, or hold you, and bring you back to base. Depending on whether you can float or not, this might be rather difficult, but he’ll try. If you’re large, however, then he will simply “tell” you to follow him. As an eldritch being you could likely either change your form or scare away anyone in your path in the first place, so he doesn’t particularly worry about anyone being stupid enough to attack you.
Spend time with him, he’ll get used to you more and more and, eventually, grow a bond with you. Proud, he’ll show you to Doc so he can figure out what you are, but do not be fooled. Hank wants to know what you are to some degree too. Once comfortable with you and certain you won’t harm him, he’ll start observing you, touching you to some degree. See how you react, how you feel, how you are.
Despite your conversations being, for the most part, one-sided, Hank will ask you directly what you are and if you’re some form of eldritch deity. Since you’re an amicable creature he can’t exactly wrap his head around, it’s worth a try.
Although he would like to do so to some degree, he won’t take you with him on missions. It’s his way of saying “I care a great deal about you, I don’t want you to die or worse even if you are capable of defending yourself.” If you really insist on aiding him, he will let you, begrudgingly. But beware that he will have your back. In fact, having you around will give him a greater reason to fight and improve his overall performance. Though, it will also be a major stress factor to him if something were to happen to you, so choose wisely.

I read it bc of tboi!#I have quite a few classic at home! but I think I wanna finish reading Paradise Lost! That's also a really interesting story so far!#reading and writing are some of my favorite hobbies!#I'd also love to finishe the price of salt at some point as well! Because I have to all things considered!#I just wish I could juggle all of my hobbies a bit better! I wish I had a bit more time for everything! but oh well it be like that!

#belle 2023#max gold#iceland#listen i just want to talk abt this for a second#i watched belle recently and yes it is a take on beauty and the beast#and yes it had so much more potential than it delivered BUT#im not mad at it at all?#i enjoyed it and it the scenery? stab my through the heart with that beautiful landscape#also it just feels like a quiet movie if that makes sense?#its got this like subtle quality to it and idk how to explain it#i wanted more and things could have been MORE but im sitting here making a post about it bc i cant find anything else on here about it#its classified as horror and im not 100% torn on that label for it but i get why they did that#anyway if you want a slightly darker/grittier take on the story then maybe give this one a shot?#and really its just so pretty to look at#and there are no fix it type fics to make it the more i want but thats okay i am okay#movies

Ok i just finished watching The Marvels at home.
I didnt have faith in this movie at all bc
1) im an mcu slanderist (as if i wasnt a marvel slanderist in general)
2) i reaaaaally didnt know what they were going to do with my girl Kamala after what happened in the show
But i was pleasantly surprised!! I went to sort of hate watch it but not really ,yknow curiosity killed the cat and whatnot but then i just?!??? I enjoyed it!!! Quite a lot!!
I started to watch it as a film person first and a Ms Marvel stan second and i was pleased as both but also very pleased as a girl (gn) its just. . . Idk man. Its an INSANE movie i laughed very hard at it at times, the music killed me , I loved the colors, the emotional beats, the chemistry,the characterizations, even the B plot felt fun. It was a nice watch.
I say its a cute movie to watch w the girlies (gn) and just enjoy.

I think mario and luigi's relationship has always been portrayed in a way that mario's life always seems perfect and he has no personal conflict to worry about, luigi is the only one who is insecure and has personal conflicts, so the movie does something we haven't seen before with these two and that is giving mario the biggest insecurities, personal obstacles to battle, and they do it in a way that makes a lot of sense and doesn't feel out of nowhere for the funny plumber guy

Sonny Oswald - Friend of the Animals, Socially Awkward, Animal Enthusiast, Neat
Sonny is a sweetheart and I love him. Awkward and shy, he's more comfortable around farm animals and plants than he is around people. Only is closest friends get to see how kind and fun he can be. One day he'll move out to the countryside and start is own farm, but for now he's working his way through the gardening career (baby steps, right?).
Lucas Esparza - Nerd Brain, Noncommittal, Bookworm, Adventurous
Lucas's two goals in life are to gain infinite amounts of knowledge for himself and leave a trail of broken hearts as he travels the world to get said knowledge. That makes it sound like he's a horrible person which is because... Well he is, but who doesn't need a villain in their game? I'm sure he has his good qualities, however, I honestly love him for being the absolute handful he is.
Keira McDaniel - Painter Extraordinaire, Gloomy, Maker, Music Lover
A bit of a "tortured artist" character who enjoys spending hours painting/crafting in her studio with music playing constantly, blocking out the rest of the world. Keira is very sensitive, and feels the emotional weight of everything around her very intensely, channeling it into her art.
Joslyn Lancaster - Country Caretaker, Loves the Outdoors, Athletic, Glutton
Joslyn is a very meat and potatoes kind of gal. She lives for the simple things in life, working the ranch, riding horses, and a good meal. It's never occurred to her that there might be more to life, and the world, outside of the ranch, because what more could she need?
Gabrielle "Gabby" Moran - Leader of the Pack, Insider, Snob, Cat Lover
Gabby is a fine and polished young woman, growing up in a life of luxury, and the champion English rider in town. She's very aware that she is the best at something, and it's boosted her confidence (*cough* ego) to astronomic levels. Quite the gossip, she loves to be out with friends, gossiping about the latest scandal, but when not there she's tending to her horse and preparing for her next competition. Despite the facade of the popular mean girl she puts up, Gabby cares very deeply about horses and her career, and takes it very seriously. She also loves spending time with the barn cats when they're around.

final movie thoughts: i loved the story a lot it was really good. i think the only thing it suffered from was pacing issues. everything else was magnificent
#wish there were more genuine jumpscares :(#It started off slow in a good way#the climax just went a bit too fast for me#but i really REALLY enjoyed the story#i liked what they did with vanessa's character i thought it was cool#fnaf movie spoilers#The costume and set design is absolutely GORGEOUS#casting 10/10#you already know im listening to the whole credits for the song
