(Cocytus) “…THEN WHY WERE WE PUT IN CHARGE OF DRIVING?”
(Sara) “I mean, all the staff are in charge. Byleth, Megunee, Towa and Angelica too. If we put our heads together, we can think of something.”
(Sharon) “Lady Sara, do you honestly think that we can get the hang of driving before we crash straight into a rock?”

Storage/Entrance
(Akira) “It’s pretty impressive that we all got a Cyclops now.”
(Yu) “Yeah, it took a couple days but it’s really cool seeing this in action. Though, should all of us be packed into it? It’s big, but not that big.”
(Minako) “Well, it’s to get familiar. We’re going to get more submarines for each group. Soon us Persona Users will get our very own sub!”
(Minato) “I’m not exactly sure that’s a good idea. I trust tech savvy people like Futaba, Aigis, and Naoto but…people like Ryuji and Junpei worry me.”
(Yu) “I guess we’ll find out.”
(Akira) “…I think I’m having second thoughts about being a part of a Cyclops.”
Engines
(Ainz) …How the hell are we supposed to make this thing work?! I’ve never even seen a submarine before when I was still in the real world! More importantly there was never anything like this in Yg-
(Albedo) “Lord Ainz?”
(Ainz) “Hm? Oh, Albedo. What is it?”
(Albedo) “Demiurge and I have finished looking at the engines, and we have confirmed there will be no trouble in maintaining it.”
(Ainz) “HM?!”
(Demiurge) “It was a bit of trouble at first, but combined with our magic and the PDA’s assistance, we can safely traverse whatever the ocean may throw at the Cyclops!”
(Ainz) “Ah…G-Good work. I can always rely on you two no matter the situation.”
(Demiurge) “T-Thank you Lord Ainz!”
(Albedo) “You are too kind!”
(Ainz) No, really. I’m pretty sure we’d explode if I got something wrong, it’s a miracle that you managed to make heads and tails of this thing…Thank god Kazuma’s group isn’t working the engines…

(Kazuma) “What, Aqua?”
(Aqua) “A-Are you sure this thing is safe?! I’ve never seen anything like it!”
(Kazuma) “Hell no I’m not sure. None of us here has even been in anything remotely like this. Well except Doomguy, but he’s on bodyguard detail.”
(Aqua) “THEN WHY ARE WE IN THIS DEATH-TRAP?!”
(Kazuma) “You wanna be swimming out there with seaglider where something can eat your sorry ass whole instead of this massive titanium reinforced hull?”
(Aqua) “I…ugh!”
(Yuki) “Hey, hey! Come look at this Megunee!”
(Megumi) “A-Ah! Please don’t run, Yuki!”
(Kurumi) “Even on an alien world, she’s still having fun.”
(Yuuri) “A little TOO much fun. This entire place is terrifying!”
(Miki) “I mean, I find this trip fun as well. I’ve always wondered what it was like to scuba dive.”
(Yuuri) “I’d rather have done so in a coral reef on Earth.”
(Kurumi) “Technically, our first base was in the Shallows where there are coral reefs-”

(Miki) “Hah, well I admit it’s scary, but it’s a sense of terror and amazement!”

- Futaba poked her head out the hatch and raised an eyebrow.

(Megumin) “I was but now I’m about to watch some fireworks!”
(Futaba) “Fireworks?”
(Megumin) “Yeah, the Aurora’s about to explode!”
(Futaba) “…W-What? I thought our timeframe was 2 hours!”
(Megumin) “Apparently it reached critical state only a few minutes ago-”
(Futaba) “AND YOU JUST NOW TOLD ME?!”
- Futaba’s clothes changed as she got into her Persona and frantically reached for the screen.
(Futaba) “EVERYONE, GET BEHIND COVER OR TO THE LIFEBOAT RIGHT NOW!”
- Everyone stopped what they were doing in the waters and reached for their PDA’s.
[Radio](Byleth) “Huh?”
[Radio](Akira) “What’s wrong?!”
[Radio](Kazuma) “Wait hang on, why?”
Emergency: A quantum detonation has occurred in the Aurora’s drive core.
[Radio](Rean) “Ooooh crap!”

On Kazuma’s Cyclops: The Wiz…
- Kazuma drove the Cyclops in the open waters, calmly watching his sonar and hearing the hum of the engine.
- Darkness watched the engines alongside Kurumi and Yuuri while Megumin and Yuki were in the vehicle bay.
- Aqua and Miki were in the bridge with Kazuma, watching the status of the ship quietly.
- Until Aqua spoke up.
(Aqua) “OH MY GOD IM SO BOOORED!”
(Miki) “Um, isn’t quiet in a place like this a good thing?”
(Kazuma) “Yeah, having nothing to do in a killer planet means we’re solid! And besides, we said we were going to get copper and stuff, why did you even tag along if you knew nothing would happen?”
(Aqua) “I don’t wanna be left alone at the base!”
(Kazuma) “Then quit bitching.”
(Miki) “That’s a bit harsh, Kazuma.”
(Kazuma) “Oh don’t you start too, Naoki. You’ve been here long enough to know how I am.”
- Miki sighed.
(Miki) “Fair enough. Oh Aqua! Why don’t you read one of my novels?”
(Aqua) “And fall asleep? No thanks. Ugh whatever. At least nothing bad can happen as we’re going back.”
Warning. Entering Ecological Dead Zone.
(Aqua) “HUH?!”
- The waters in front of Kazuma’s bridge went from a clear blue into almost pitch black as he slowly turned to face Aqua.
(Kazuma) “You gotta be fucking kidding me, Aqua.”
(Miki) “M-MULTIPLE TARGETS APPROACHING THE CYCLOPS BRIDGE!”
- Kazuma reached for the mic they installed near the bridge.
(Kazuma) “HEY EVERYONE, STRAP IN, AQUA GOT US INTO SOME DEEP SH…CRAP!”
(Yuki) “Huh? What’s happening?”
(Darkness) “LEVIATHANS?!”
(Kurumi) “Please don’t make that face.”
(Aqua) “HEY WHY IS IT MY FAU-…”
- Aqua’s face suddenly went pale as she looked out the windows.
- Kazuma and Miki turned to the direction Aqua was facing.
(Kazuma) *a noise that can’t decide whether its a swear or gibberish*
(Aqua) “WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN?!”

(Ainz) “It could be another lifepod, maybe we could find survivors.”
(Minato) “I sorta doubt it, considering all of them have been torn open.”
(Minako) “That’s optimistic…”
(Yu) “But he’s not wrong for thinking it, is he?”
(Aqua) “Whatever it is, I’m sure it’s going to be friendly!-”

(Akira) “…I don’t think that was human.”
(Sothis) “What was your first hint?!”

(Yuuri) “How do we even know if they’re watching us?”

Day 1 with the Konosuba Gang
(Rise) “Okay, so from what we’re able to scan, this shallow reef seems to be safe to explore, so we’ll split into groups, grab whatever you guys think will be useful!”
(Byleth) “We’ll be going into our respective groups that we came in with. House Reps, you will be the leader of your group.”
- Kazuma and his group nodded, and dived into the water.
- The first area they went into was a somewhat small cave.
(Aqua) “Oooh, this weird tube thing looks pretty!”
(Darkness) “Is it edible?”
- Kazuma put a scanner to it and read the name.
“Acid Mushroom”
(Kazuma) “…Nope.”
- Kazuma continued to swim off as Aqua stared at it.
(Aqua) “Hm…We could use it for something. Right?”
(Darkness) “I will go find the most hostile fish in this area and…hehehe, fight it!”
- With an insane look in her eye, she swam away.
(Kazuma) “Megumin? Find anything in there?”
- Megumin was inside the cave and found a small red-plant like creature.
(Megumin) “I think so?”
- The plant revealed an eye, which made Megumin jump.
(Megumin) “K-Kazuma?!”
- A creature with a giant eye made an unholy noise as it bolted towards Megumin.
HUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
- A massive explosion could be heard from across the entire shallows as it jolted Aqua and Kazuma into attention.
(Kazuma) “What the hell!? MEGUMIN!”
- Megumin swam out of the cave with her scuba gear clearly dented as a crazy smile took over her.
(Megumin) “THESE CREATURES! THEY KNOW THE ART OF EXPLOSIONS!”
(Kazuma) “You gotta be- KAMIKAZE FISH?! THAT’S GREAT!”
(Aqua) “Hm…”
- Aqua purified the mushroom and looked at it curiously.
(Kazuma) “DO NOT EAT THAT MUSHROOM! Where’s Darkness?!”
(Darkness) “How disappointing.
- Kazuma and the group saw Darkness getting bitten by some shark-like creature.
(Darkness) “These predators will not provide the stimulation I crave.”
- She punched it so hard it flew into the nearby coral tubes, splitting it apart as if it were paper.
(Kazuma) “OH FOR FUCKS SAKE, DON’T GO PICKING FIGHTS WITH THE PREDATORS-”
(Aqua) “K-Kazuma?!”
- The fish began to swarm Aqua, which eventually led to those same shark creatures headed her direction.
(Kazuma) “RETREAT! RETREAT!”
(Aqua) “Psh, it’s just a buncha fish! THEY’RE NO MATCH FOR THIS GODDESS-”
- The predators began to bite Aqua.
(Aqua) “OWOWOWOWOW-”
- Kazuma began swearing loudly and incoherently as he brought up his knife and tried to save Aqua as Megumin and Darkness took care of the exploding fish being drawn to Aqua.
30 minutes later…
(Sharon) “Welcome back, Master Satou.”
(Kazuma) “Ugh…”
- Kazuma flopped onto the lifeboat’s floor, dragging up Megumin, Aqua and Darkness.
- Sharon helped them up and calmly got a towel while Kazuma continued to groan.
(Sharon) “May I ask what you have found?”
- Kazuma reached into his pocket and put them near Sharon’s feet.
- A fish, several teeth from the shark-like fish, some acid mushrooms, and 1 piece of titanium.
(Sharon) “Would you like some tea?”
(Kazuma) “Please?”

New Class VII visit the back of the Aurora
- Altina drove the Seamoth forward while the rest of Class VII tagged along on their seagliders.
- Juna kept looking around left and right until Kurt spoke.
(Juna) “Juna, are you alright?”
(Kurt) “Ugh…No, not really. I don’t like this place is all. It’s so…alien.”
(Ash) “Well yeah, it’s another planet.”
(Juna) “Bah, you know what I mean! We were never trained for this, surviving underwater!”
(Musse) “Neither was the original House Isekai, but they still survived!”
(Altina) “Instructors Rean, Towa, Aigis, and Kazuma seem to have sufficient knowledge of the planet, despite how much time has passed.”
(Juna) “I wonder how the others are doing right now…”
(Kurt) “If I had to guess, like us. Especially the Garreg Mach students, I don’t think they ever anticipated on going on a journey like this.”
(Musse) “Hm…I don’t think the original three houses ever went on this planet, did they?”
(Ash) “Don’t think Rean mentioned it…Er, Altina where are we going?”
- Class VII only now realized where they were. The waters had changed from a blue-green tint to almost brown.
- They couldn’t see very well in front of them.
(Altina) “I was told to search for blueprints. The back of the crash site seemed like the most likely area to find some.”
(Juna) “Wasn’t this the one place all the Instructors told us NOT to go?”
(Ash) “Eh, I’m sure it’s fi-”
GROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR
- Altina looked to her right and almost stopped breathing when she felt her Seamoth shake violently.
- The Reaper Leviathan grabbed her Seamoth and swam towards the sand cliffs, slamming it down.
(Juna) “OH MY GOD, ALTINA!”
(Kurt) “We have to help her!”
(Ash) “GET THAT BASTARD!”
(Musse) “Arcus, activate!”
(Altina) “I REQUIRE ASSISTANCE-”
…
(Diluc) “…Hm. Class VII still hasn’t returned.”
(Elizabeth) “Oh dear, you’re right. Should we go look for them?”
(Venti) “I’m sure they’re fine. They’d just call us if they were in trouble.”
(Amber) “Still, this place looks pretty dangerous.”
(Helena) “I think we’re underestimating their skills. They’ll be back.”
…
- All of Class VII was on the Reaper Leviathan, stabbing it with tools and weapons while Altina was still in the seamoth, getting crushed.
(Altina) “CLASS VII, I AM PINNED HERE-”
(Juna) “DIE, DIE DIE DIE!-”
(Kurt) “THE SWORDS WON’T GO THROUGH!”
(Ash) “COME ON YA SON OF A BITCH!”
(Musse) “This rifle is going STRAIGHT INTO YOUR EYE-”
…
(Diluc) “…You’re probably right.”

Garreg Mach Students getting used to the ocean
The Garreg Mach students flew out on their seagliders around the safe shallows, being instructed to grab whatever copper they could find.
Sitri followed them since everyone who had been here before was required to stick with a group.
Not to mention she had been here with Byleth before.
(Elizabeth) “Ugh, this is quite unpleasant…”
(Helena) “What, don’t like the ocean?”
(Elizabeth) “Helena, dear. I enjoy the ocean as much as any girl would-”
(Kairos) “Could’ve fooled me.-”
(Elizabeth) “Shut up, Kairos. And I like walking near the beach, and even swimming. But living inside it and fighting nature? No, I do not like it at all.”
(Stefan) “Y-Yeah this is a bit much for swimming.”
(Astrid) “Least we’re all getting our exercise!”
(Kairos) “…Sure.”
(Helena) “It’ll give us experience in case we ever need to swim underwater.”
(Elizabeth) “Where in Fodlan do we possibly need to swim?!”
(Helena) “With all the places the House keeps dragging us into, it might be handy. Hell, it came in handy for Sitri.”
The group stopped swimming and looked at Sitri, who was gliding right behind them.
(Sitri) “Well, I learned it on the fly like you all are currently. But it is helpful that we’ve been to this world before.”
(Stefan) “Just how many have you been to, Lady Sitri?”
(Sitri) “Let’s see…Here, that one world in the far future, the one where we had to hunt ghosts, the one with the talking animals…”
(Helena) “See? She now has skills that’ll be helpful for surviving in another world.”
(Kairos) “How many times has she been underwater for it?”
Sothis appeared behind Sitri, though the students didn’t seem to notice.
(Sothis) “If only they had met Aqua…”
(Sitri) Yeah, I bet they would’ve been terrified of Leviathans…
(Astrid) “Anyways, this place is seriously freaky. The giant sea monsters trying to eat us, and we can’t even use magic here!”
(Helena) “We could always visit the back of the ship like Class VII did.”
(Kairos) “A-ABSOLUTELY NOT, HELENA!”
(Elizabeth) “Do you have a deathwish, dear?!”
(Stefan) “It’s not so much them I’m worried about, as I am about the dark…”
Everyone shuddered.
(Helena) “That’s true, we can’t really see if something’s coming up from behind, and it might just emerge from the-”
(Astrid) “GAAH, SHUT UP SHUT UUUUP! Ugh, I wanna go back home…”
(Elizabeth) “Sitri, ma'am, how did you survive here last time?”
(Sitri) “Well we all took our own Submarines. I think if you ask Kazuma to ride with him on ‘The Wiz’ he’ll let you.”
(Kairos) “Does Professor Kazuma even know how to drive it?”
(Sitri) “Better than most of us did. The only other ones were the old staff.”
(Stefan) “Then what about you?”
(Sitri) “Um…”
(Helena) “Great confidence there, ma'am.”
(Astrid) “C-Come on, you can be a little nicer.”
(Kairos) “Let’s just go back inside, I’m suddenly feeling a bit queasy…”

Hey so in your isekai story what’s the world like? Or the specific isekai trope? Do they level up like in video games? Are they only allowed specific magic to learn based of abilities or personality? Or is any cool? Do they go after any specific profession if rail roads aren’t invented?
Hi!!! So I am still gonna make a more official post once more information is finalized, but here's some answers for you o(*°▽°*)o
For the World, we haven't defined much quite yet, so for now, think about your stereotypical Isekai anime - fantasy based, adventurers, monsters (think Dragon Quest combined with The Rising of the Shield Hero - which coincidentally, Nobori's Masters voice actor is in). There's probably going to be some flavor changes, but these have the kind of vibe I imagine the world having.
They do level up in this! In this world, you can improve your skills through use - the skills/spells get stronger, or obtain new effects, the more you use them. Although all of Nobori's skill levels are very high, he cannot seem to access any of them. He can see them displayed in however his HUD looks (still working on that part), but they are greyed out - the conditions to unlock higher level skills are even checked off as if he has completed them. Kudari is really not sure why Nobori is locked out from his own skills, but explains it away as a delay due to his disappearance. Nobori's just got to practice and train a little, and everything will go back to normal!
Even to Nobori, Kudari's level is displayed as ??? (perhaps with a skull like some games have when something is so overwhelmingly above the player's level). Kudari claims that Nobori should be the exact same level as him, but Nobori can't bring himself to tell his twin that he cannot tell.
They actually have magic very specific to them! Nobori is a support/healing type, while Kudari is a damage type. Nobori struggles to use his magic, partially because of the skill locks, but also due to fear of coming across as threatening. To quote my AU co-conspirator, "for Nobori's magic: he’s a bit ominous and scary because life powers in this world take the form of pulling a soul back to its body/mending it. Kudari is the inverse: his powers look like light but overloading any being with light will pretty much disintegrate their soul." Kudari also very specifically has an angel theme going on with his costuming - the hat is meant to mimic a halo.
It's possible to learn skills outside of those ranges, just with higher xp requirements. Someone joked that Nobori put all his points and experience into being a good house husband, but I will admit, I like the idea of more domestic things being learnable, similar to the disciples of the land/hand from FF14 ARR.
As for the trains, naturally they have fantasy flying trains! Of course of course, they run them, and had a hand in the creation of them. (I tried to emulate his Subway Master coat in the last outfit I drew but I don't think that's their official outfit XD ) We don't have any details on the trains themselves, yet, because Nobori and Kudari are spending much of their time travelling and training to get Nobori back to where he was in terms of power.
The important part here is that Nobori still feels like the nobody he was before, but now he has a sweet brusband who has tons of expectations for him.

Sitri Eisner (Age: Estimated 40+ due to time passing after death)
Wife to Jeralt and mother to Byleth. Sitri was a nun at Garreg Mach before sacrificing her life so that her infant son could live.
Twenty-six years later, she would find herself resurrected by Those Who Slither in the Dark. Though the reason for this is still unknown. Wanting to honor the legacy of Byleth, and her mother figure Rhea, she has become the new headmaster of Garreg Mach Monastery.
Sitri retains most of her personality from before her death, being a gentle soul that cares heavily for the plight of others.
Sothis (Age: ???)
The goddess of Fodlan, previously using Byleth's body as a vessel. Despite that, she viewed him as a treasured friend and had been with him since birth to his death.
Sitri is her current vessel, providing advice and commentary whenever she can. Despite her status, she views Sitri as a dear friend.
Sothis has little patience for stupidity and is quick to anger, and most notably of all, always sleepy.

Towa Herschel (Age: 21)
Towa was formerly a Student Council President, and is currently a Financial Instructor at Thor’s Military Branch Campus, teaching alongside Rean Schwarzer. She served as one of the main staff members of the original House Isekai, mostly handling paperwork and acting as a spokesperson for the House.
Towa is a kind, optimistic, yet serious and hard working person. She has a tendency to overwork herself, and isn't afraid to chide anyone she thinks is doing something wrong.
She despises fighting, but is willing to do so if it means protecting her friends. Towa fights with an ARCUS unit and an Orbal Pistol.
Towa is also sensitive about her short height.
Satou Kazuma (Age: 19)
Kazuma was previously killed and reincarnated into a fantasy world before becoming a student of House Isekai. He led his own group of adventurers consisting of an explosive mage, a goddess, and a paladin, though to call his group heroic or competent would be a major exaggeration.
He is cynical, blunt, lecherous, lazy, sarcastic, and whines constantly about the situations he is in. He is especially quick to hurl out insults to his own teammates and especially others. Surprising to many, he is a quick thinker, brave, and a good leader, being reliable at critical moments. His death came about due to protecting a girl he thought was in danger, and was fine with dying if it meant her life was saved.
Kazuma is a thief-class adventurer, and can easily sneak away and use his ability 'steal' to snatch any item his opponent has. He wields a dagger and sword.
He also has unusually high luck.
Rean Schwarzer (Age: 20)
Former student of House Isekai, Rean is now an Instructor at Thor’s Military Branch Campus, alongside Towa Herschel. Rean was the leader of the old Class VII, able to rally and lead his classmates through various battles that had the odds stacked against them. Rean currently teaches the new Class VII.
Rean is supporting, sociable, and modest to a fault. After serving in the military, his personality is mostly the same but now greatly tempered. He is more forthright than he used to be, and he tends to vocalize uncomfortable truths rather than coddle them.
Rean wields a tachi and pilots a magically powered mech called Valimar, the Ashen Knight.
Despite his outstanding leadership skills, he has shockingly low self-worth and is overly harsh on himself, yet very supporting to others.
Aigis (Manufacturing Age: 13)
Aigis was a former student of House Isekai, operating as a machine whose sole purpose was to exterminate monsters called Shadows. She was a key member of S.E.E.S, a group of Persona Users who was led by siblings Minato and Minako Arisato.
Before meeting the Arisato siblings, Aigis was very cold and lacked any common sense, but polite. After bonding with them and the rest of S.E.E.S, her personality became more human, but struggled with those emotions after the siblings' deaths. After accepting their deaths and moving on, she became a gentle, empathetic and strong-hearted woman.
Aigis wields various amounts of firearms and equipment, ranging from miniguns, grenade launchers, missiles, and jets, and is able to switch them on the fly. She is also a Persona User, able to summon a manifestation of herself to fight alongside her. Her Persona is Athena. She is also able to enhance her fighting prowess by initiating a mode called "Orgia", though it is only for a few moments.
Aigis is also prone to doing very strange and socially unacceptable things, due to not being human.

They all wield "ARCUS" units that allow them to enhance their fighting prowess, coordination, and perform special skills called 'arts'.
Juna Crawford (Age: 17)
Juna is a straightforward, energetic girl and hard worker. She takes immense pride in her heritage and state. Despite her appearance, Juna admits that she appreciates being praised for her work and can be easily offended by people mocking her, intentional or not.
She fights with dual tonfas that can switch between melee weapon and guns.
Kurt Vander (Age: 17)
Kurt is a very professional and rarely flappable young man from the Vander family—a prestigious line of sword masters. He tends to be very serious and prideful to a fault.
He fights with dual blades.
Musse Egret (Age: 16)
A playful girl who doesn’t hide her interest in Rean. Despite her tendency to say some risqué things, she holds herself like a noble. She is also a tactical genius, being able to quickly analyze the situation at hand. Likewise in battle, Musse prefers staying in the back, analyzing her opponents and supporting her allies.
She wields a rifle and provides cover fire/supporting arts.
Ash Carbide (Age: 17)
Ash has a roguish rebellious attitude, speaking without respect to almost everyone and doing whatever pleases him, ignoring any sense of authority or repercussions. His attitude and skills are regarded as 'wildly unpredictable'. Yet despite this rough outward appearance, Ash has a softer and studious side.
He uses an interchangeable polearm/scythe hybrid and contains a hidden chain function.
Altina Orion (Age: 14)
Altina is mature, but fairly emotionless. Thanks to her time with Rean and Class VII, she has developed more emotions, but still tends to be serious and not fond of overly affectionate personalities.
She wields a massive robotic puppet known as Claiomh Solais, which doubles as her weapon and means of transport.

Stefan Von Rothberg (Age: 16)
Stefan was born as the youngest son to a family of Nobles in the Adrestian Empire. Due to his eldest brother inheriting the family name, he was cast aside, his only friends being his combat instructor and a scientist named Valda. It was them who inspired Stefan to become a knight. He attends Garreg Mach in hopes to achieve that dream. After the events of the war, he does not like speaking about his past.
Stefan wields a sword and shield while donning massive armor.
He is part of the Black Eagles.
Astrid Morain (Age: 19)
A straightforward and friendly girl who was born into a commoner Faerghus family. Seeing tales of Knights in the old stories and the Knights of Seiros had inspired her to take up the sword. She had aspired to join the Knights of Seiros and serve the Goddess. It is also thanks to those stories she is a hopeless romantic, being completely inept at romance.
Astrid wields a lance.
She is part of the Blue Lions.
Elizabeth Mcgrath (Age: 17)
Born into a Noble family in the Kingdom of Faerghus, she was taught from a very young age that she has a duty to the commoners to protect them.. Being fueled by this sense of justice, she aspired to become the best Noble she could, and always confidently and loudly proclaims her admittedly large prowess. Despite her obnoxious tendencies, Elizabeth doesn't care about the status of one's birth.
Elizabeth is extremely proficient in light and holy magic.
She is part of the Blue Lions.
Kairos Pasha (Age: 17)
A hardworking and serious young man born into the Leicester Alliance. Kairos worked with his parents at their market stall in Derdriu. Though there is no distinct class system in the city, his parents being commoners had always had Noble families looking down on them. These experiences growing up made him foster a hatred for Nobles. He spends his free time constantly reading educational material on economics and magic.
Kairos is extremely proficient in dark magic.
He is part of the Golden Deer.
Helena (Age: 15)
Born without a family, she was raised by mercenaries, and let Helena choose the name herself when she grew old enough. Eventually, the group disbanded, leaving Helena to wander by herself, when she was adopted by a family in the Alliance who took pity on her. Though seemingly emotionless, it is quickly revealed that she is simply stoic, and tends to dryly joke around with her friends with a signature deadpan sarcasm.
Helena wields knives.
She is part of the Golden Deer.
The Knights of Favonius -
They all wield elemental powers called "Visions": Anemo, Pyro, and Electro. All call Mondstadt their home, and Barbatos their God.
Jean Gunnhildr (Age: Early 20's)
Jean is the Acting Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius. She takes her role very seriously, and assumes all responsibilities and duties personally, regardless of how trivial the task is. Although she prefers to solve things peacefully, she does not hesitate to use force.
While serious, she is very respectful and caring towards others.
She fights with a rapier and an Anemo Vision.
Diluc Ragnvindr (Age: Early 20's)
Diluc was once a confident and passionate young man, dedicated to his work with Knights of Favonius, much like his father. But after his father’s untimely death, Diluc grew aloof, bitter, and distant in part due to the Knight's mishandling of the case. Even after bringing his father's killer to justice, he kept his resentment of the Knights, believing them to be unfit for the job. He became a vigilante known as the “Darknight Hero” to protect the people of Mondstadt.
He maintains a respectful attitude to everyone except his brother.
He fights with a greatsword and Pyro Vision.
Lisa Minci (Age: Late 20's)
Lisa is the Librarian for the Knights of Favonius. She has a haphazard and carefree attitude, while still doing her job very well. Though it's usually done in a way where she can "enjoy the smaller things in life". She is dangerously intelligent, but rarely puts the effort to her duties until absolutely necessary.
Even though she is laidback, when angered, the air around her becomes electrified.
She fights with a spellbook and an Electro Vision.
Venti (Age: ???)
Venti has a somewhat recalcitrant, carefree, and playful attitude as well as a liking to rhyming in his speech. Venti enjoys roaming around Mondstadt playing songs to his people, most of whom are unaware of his true identity as Barbatos, the Anemo Archon. Despite being a god, he does want to directly interfere in the lives of his people, perfectly content that they have gotten along fine without his guidance.
He also enjoys drinking, but due to his appearance, most bars deny him due to looking like a minor.
He fights with a bow and Anemo.
== Auxiliary of New House Isekai ==
Duvalie (Age: 23)
Duvalie is the head of an elite group of knights called the Stahlritter, hailing from the same world as Rean, Towa, and Class VII. She was a former enemy turned ally due to unusual circumstances. She particularly has it out for Rean.
Due to Duvalie’s personality quirks, she is very easy to irritate, intentional or not. In part due to her young age, she dislikes being treated like a child. As a knight, she is extremely devoted to her lord, has a strong sense of justice, takes pride in her skills, and does not like incompetent fighters.
She fights with a sword and shield, and is deceptively agile, able to effortlessly close massive distances in the blink of an eye.
Raelyn Amuto (Age: ???)
Raelyn is a Space Marine from the 41st millennium, clad in ancient power armour and wielding the most potent weapons known to man, dubbed the "Emperor's Angels of Death". He is from a Chapter known as the "Lamenters", an unfortunate group of Space Marines whose accursed and haunted legacy seems to have tainted much of what they have achieved and their victories often become bitter ashes in their hands. Despite the heavy casualties they take and the endless amounts of people they failed to save, the most grievous of punishments dealt out, they fight on.
Raelyn is extremely formal, especially towards civilians, but his ferocity and brutality in battle is unmatched by anyone, crushing any who oppose the light of humanity.
He fights with massive guns called a Bolter, bullets that first enter its target then explode. He also wields a chainsword that is nearly the length of a grown man.

House Isekai: A Realm Reborn - Part 1, Old Places and New Faces (2 of 2)

The mock battle has gone awry and a sense of dread has washed over everyone as the trainers are suddenly debilitated by the skies roaring out with a loud crack, and the cloudless day turning into a jet-black...
Word Count: 4.1K
Rean and Towa slowly rose up from their headache and realized that there wasn’t any sunlight. Looking up with Kairos and Helena, they saw crackles of light begin to shine through the void that had overtaken the skies. Before anyone could say anything, the crackles of light erupted into a tear that split reality open, shooting out several people onto the ground. Although the fall looked like it should have killed its occupants upon landing, it sounded as if they were fine, other than the screams and grunts of pain.
(Towa) “Wasn’t that towards Kazuma?”
Rean nodded and turned to Kairos and Helena.
(Rean) “Get back with the rest of your class, we’ll take it from here.”
The two ran into the forest, leaving a slightly annoyed Kairos and confused Helena behind.
(Kairos) “Tch, they think they can order us around?”
(Helena) “If you’re planning to follow them, then let’s get going.”
Helena quickly rushed in behind them.
(Kairos) “What the-H-HEY! I DIDN’T SAY WE WERE GOING TO DO THAT! Ugh, for the love of-”
Kairos mumbled to himself as he ran after Helena.
…
Stefan had shoved several Black Eagles before the group of people landed on them, but instead he had the group on top of him. Kazuma had a student helping him walk, and couldn’t resist a scoff.
(Kazuma) “Whew, glad that wasn’t me.”
(Stefan) “U-Ugh…Am I alive…?”
He was roughly rolled to the side by a pink ponytail haired girl in a dark blue uniform, reaching for her head.
(Girl with Pink Hair) “Augh, think I landed on my back!”
Four others in similar outfits slowly helped each other up. Two were male, one with silver hair and a taller one with brown. The other two were a long white haired girl and a short green haired one.
(Girl with White Hair) “...We have landed on someone.”
(Boy with Brown Hair) “Ah shit, you’re not dead are ya?”
Stefan was helped up by the tall brown haired boy.
(Stefan) “Ow…no, just bruised. Are you guys alright?”
(Girl with Green Hair) “Us? Well, thank you for the concern but you’re the one who took the brunt of our fall.”
(Boy with Silver Hair) “Apologies about the…entrance. You are-”
Before Stefan could respond, he heard Kazuma’s voice.
(Kazuma) “Ack. Y-Yeah, I’m fine, no need to hold onto me like I’m crippled! You, kids!”
(Girl with Pink Hair) “You don’t look that much older than us-”
(Kazuma) “Whatever! You fell out of the damn sky, AND you have that same symbol Schwarzer did on your uniforms!”
(Girl with Green Hair) “Schwa-...Do you know Instructor Rean?”
The group of kids suddenly stiffened their backs while Stefan and the Black Eagles looked confused. Kazuma on the other hand just looked mildly irritated and used to it.
(Kazuma) “Psh, figures that more people that Rean knows shows u-...Wait a goddamn second-”
Kazuma suddenly did a double take at the portal they came from and realized it wasn’t closing. In fact, it looked like there were multiple portals in the sky that had yet to release its inhabitants.
(Kazuma) “...Oh shit.”
(Towa’s Voice) “Kazuma!”
(Rean’s Voice) “You alright? We heard screaming!”
Rean and Towa sidestepped the trees before stopping dead in their tracks, looking at the group of kids.
(Kazuma) “Uh, I take it these are your kids?”
(Rean) “What in the-?! W-What…Why are you…?!”
This was the most flustered Kazuma had seen Rean in a very long time. He’d be busy laughing, but the implications of why they were here alarmed him to no end. And it seemed like Towa agreed, seeing how her face grew as pale as Rean’s.
(Pink Haired Girl) “Well, at least there’s SOME familiar faces here, where are we, Instructor?!”
(Stefan) “Um, you’re in Fodlan and I take it you’re not from this world…”
(Boy with Brown Hair) “Gee, I wonder what made you come to that conclusion, dude-”
Rean glared at the boy with a very unamused look.
(Rean) “Ash.”
(Kairos’s Voice) “Stefan!”
Kairos and Helena quickly ran up to him, dusting off some of the leaves that fell on top of them.
(Helena) “Looks like you got everything under control and…more people.”
(Kazuma) “Schwarzer, you take care of…whatever this is, I’m going to check on Aigis!”
Kazuma quickly disappeared into the trees again as Rean tried to calm himself.
(Rean) “I’ll explain everything later, for now just get back to your class-”
Another deafening crack echoed throughout the black sky. Again. And again. It kept repeating as more and more of the lights split open and dropped a myriad of indistinguishable people. And monsters.
(Towa) “Oh no…”
(Kairos) “The hell is going on?!”
(Stefan) “The Blue Lions are still over on the right side! We got to get to them! Black Eagles, get back to the guards!”
Stefan rushed off unsheathing his weapons, making Helena and Kairos give chase.
(Rean) “Damn it, why don’t they listen?!”
Rean gripped his tachi as he looked to his class.
(Rean) “Class VII, stick close and do NOT wander! Let’s go!”
Everyone nodded and followed his lead as they rushed over to the Blue Lions while the Black Eagles retreated as Stefan ordered.
…
Aigis’s Persona slammed several unknown creatures to the side as she opened fire with her guns. They were large green brutes with junk weapons and armor, yet they just kept coming while they took wounds that should’ve killed them.
(Green creature) “GAHAHAHA! KRUMP ‘EM LADS!”
(Elizabeth) “Aigis, behind you!”
Aigis kept firing as she covered the retreat of the students. Before one could hit her flank, it was suddenly engulfed in bright light, and crumbled into dust.
(Aigis) “Many thanks!”
Aigis and Athena leapt back to create some distance as the creatures kept coming. Astrid skewered a smaller slime-like creature that kept hopping towards her that showed up from the other side.
(Astrid) “What the hell are these things?!”
One of the slimes was about to pounce on her before it was taken out by a knife.
(Kazuma) “Hey, kid! Check your surroundings!”
Kazuma was quickly joined by Kairos, Helena, Stefan, Rean, Towa, and Class VII. Rean and Towa didn’t hesitate to join the defense against the green brutes while the Class VII members helped any students who were faltering in falling back. The Garreg Mach students who remained attempted to give covering fire and getting rid of the slimes who were closing in on them.
(Kairos) “And none of these things are from your worlds?!”
(Aigis) “Negative. They do not match any known records!”
(Towa) “Nothing we’ve seen before, Kazuma?”
Kazuma kicked a slime like it was an empty can across the field before shouting back.
(Kazuma) “The slimes look kinda familiar, but they sure as hell aren’t from mine!”
(Helena) “Then where are they coming from?!”
…
Sitri activated the chain whip on her sword as it slashed apart several dark lanky creatures with masks in an instant. Several of the staff, Sothis, and the guards were engaged with slimes, green creatures, and these lanky ones while escorting students and noncombatants to safety. She turned behind her to realize Recette and Tear were virtually undefended. One of the green creatures realized this and charged at them. Before Sitri could help rescue them, she suddenly had to deflect a blow from yet another of the green creatures who was cackling in delight.
(Sitri) “RECETTE, TEAR!”
In what seemed like only a millisecond, a figure clad in steel leapt from the bottom of the cliff, deflected the brute’s blow and bisected it, all while shielding the two in an effortless flow. Once Recette and Tear were out of harm’s way, the figure turned back to Sitri and helped dispatch the creature she was fighting. Taking a moment to examine the situation, she finally sighed and turned to speak. It was a woman with short brown hair and a circlet with wings, fully armored in steel and purple robes. Sothis floated over to Sitri, and was surprised when it seemed like the armored woman could see her.
(Armored Woman) “Are you unharmed?”
(Sitri) “I-I am. Thank you for saving them.”
The woman nodded stoically and looked down to the ground.
(Sitri) “I don’t know who you are, but I will make sure to pay you if you can assist saving my stude-”
(Armored Woman) “No need for payment. It’s a knight’s duty to protect the weak. You’ll join me?”
Sitri turned back to her guards and the other staff.
(Yuri) “We got this, go!”
(Sothis) “Right behind you.”
The armored woman smirked.
(Armored Woman) “Try and keep up with a Knight of the Stahlritter.”
The woman leapt down the hill, landed, and dashed off into a full tilt sprint without missing a beat. Sitri and Sothis leapt down, albeit less elegantly and rushed to catch up.
…
(Pink Haired Girl) “T-THEY JUST KEEP COMING!"
The girl’s dual tonfa fired bullets into the oncoming horde of green brutes, supported by everyone who wielded a ranged weapon or spells, but they appeared no closer to thinning them out. Aigis was about to fire her hand at one of the brutes before its head exploded from a gunshot. Her brows furrowed when she realized it didn’t come from either her or the others, quickly scanning the left. Aigis's scanners saw a humanoid figure rush out from the trees, toppling some of the smaller ones as it charged towards the brutes.
A massive yellow hulk of armor came barrelling out and crushed some of the creatures who were caught unaware. Everyone stopped firing to watch the creature's quick and brutal demise at the hands of this juggernaut of a man. Though their expression suddenly turned to one of glee.
(Creature) “HAHA! IT’S DA SPACE MARINE GITZ-”
Its chest exploded into chunks as the soldier turned his rifle onto him, then onto two more in front of him in a rapid succession of disciplined shots. Turning around, everyone could get a full profile view of the man. The armor was colored yellow, though the stains of war had not been kind to its cleanliness. The shoulder pads alone were nearly the size of some of the kids, not to mention the monstrously tall height of the man himself. On his left leg sat a massive chainsaw sword and on his right was a holster for a pistol. The man gave a simple nod and spoke with startling calmness.
(Soldier in Yellow) “Civilians? Hmph, fear not, for the Emperor’s Angels will protect you from these Xenos scum.”
No one said a word and looked at each other, until Rean spoke up.
(Rean) “Any enemies of these things are friends of ours. We’re teachers and students, can you help cover our escape?”
(Soldier in Yellow) “Affirmative. The orks are drawn by battle, so I shall hold them off-”
He was suddenly hit on the left side of his shoulder pauldron by a fireball, everyone turning to the origin of the attack. The attacker was some strange and small floating creature with a mask. The tone of its voice was mocking as it danced around with a flame shield surrounding it. Before anyone could retaliate, the shield was quickly shattered by a man in a black coat with short red hair wielding a greatsword, slashing it and the creature in twain. He was joined by a smaller man in green bard’s clothing, a slightly taller woman wearing purple in what looked like a witch, and finally a blonde in a formal uniform.
(Blonde Woman) “Are you all unharmed?!”
(Elizabeth) “F-Fine, thank you, ma’am?”
(Kazuma) “Okay, is there anyone else we should know about that’s going to spring out of nowhere?!”
The yellow soldier suddenly raised his gun at Kazuma’s direction, which made everyone take up arms.
(Soldier in Yellow) “Are these your allies?”
It was Sitri running behind a woman bearing steel, which made everyone relax. Everyone except Rean, Towa, and Class VII.
(Towa) “D-Duvalie?!”
The woman in steel suddenly halted, and her stoic expression turned into confusion and annoyance.
(Duvalie) “Oh, of COURSE you lot are here!”
(Helena) “Talk later, more enemies!”
All remaining allies gathered around as they dispatched what appeared to be the last of the enemies together, the lights in the skies finally starting to dim. Every student was safely evacuated out of the area it seemed, making everyone relax only slightly.
(Astrid) “Y…Yeah! YEAH! HOW’D YOU LIKE THAT YOU BASTARDS! NEXT TIME SEND A REAL FIGHT!”
The sky split open into the biggest portal yet, and sent down a hulking monstrosity of a steel ball, crushing several of the green creatures and slimes. It quickly floated up and revealed four arms that hovered by its side, with a single glowing orange eye staring straight at them.
(Astrid) “...Crap.”
(Green Bard) “A Ruin Hunter?!”
(Boy with Silver Hair) “At least someone here knows what we’re fighting! Can we take it down?”
(Woman in Purple) “We can dear, but not easily!”
(Sitri) “Then we take it on together!”
Everyone readied themselves for combat as the low growling beeping noises the machine emitted indicated that it was prepared to kill. As if on cue, one of the arms transformed into a blade and swung down at speeds that seemed impossible for how big it was. Aigis’s eyes glowed blue as her Persona materialized to block the hit, only barely being able to withstand the hit and remain in place.
(Blonde Woman) “Diluc, Lisa, Venti!”
The man in red and woman in purple responded by running to the Hunter’s side prepared to flank. The green bard aimed for the eye with his bow before the Hunter quickly disengaged from the Persona and all four of its limbs transformed into blades.
(Diluc) “GET DOWN!”
Before either of them could attack, the three dove for the ground as the Hunter rapidly began spinning towards the group. Duvalie raised her shield while everyone else rolled or jumped out the way. It suddenly stopped in its tracks and struck once at her shield, pushing her back. The second slash missed as she leapt back, still on the defensive. It spun after Duvalie, tearing several trees from their roots and into each other as those with ranged physical weapons got into position.
(Soldier in Yellow) “FOCUS FIRE ON THE HANDS! SUPPRESSIVE FIRE!”
The soldier, the girls in pink and green hair, Aigis, and Towa all opened fire with their guns at one of its hands, but realized that they were doing nothing to it. The Hunter quickly spun around and its hands transformed into thrusters aiming upwards, until it spat out missiles towards them. Aigis’s Persona materialized in front of her and Towa, shielding them from the blasts while the soldier grabbed the other girls and tossed them out the way and took the brunt of the explosions with his armor. Both him and Athena managed to stay put despite the severity of the blast.
While the Hunter was bombarding them, several of the Class VII members alongside the Garreg Mach students and Duvalie rushed in with their blades and struck quickly enough to stagger it, making it transform into its original state as it floated back. Sitri’s sword turned into a whip as she wrapped the chain around one of the limbs, trying to yank it downwards. The single eye turned towards her as the hand suddenly jerked upwards, sending her flying.
Before she could tumble onto the floor, the blonde woman’s eyes flashed green and a massive gust of wind managed to gently catch her and have her land on her two feet. Not needing to say thanks, Sitri just nodded and saw Lisa, Sothis, Kairos, and Elizabeth all charging spells.
(Lisa) “Aim for the core!”
Lisa fired an electric bolt at the center of the Hunter while Kairos and Elizabeth casted fireballs that quickly followed it. As their spells connected, the combination of electricity and fire caused it to overload and fall to the floor. Sothis immediately followed up with a holy spell that engulfed it in a bright white light, scorching only parts of it.
(Towa) “I-Is it-?”
(Venti) “Not yet, everyone get back!”
As everyone took up new positions, Rean stood off to the side, seemingly concentrating on something else while Kazuma peeked behind a nearby tree with his knife.
(Kazuma) “Schwarzer, the hell are you doing? Shouldn’t you be out-”
(Rean) “Quiet, I’m concentrating! If Class VII and Duvalie got here then that means…”
Rean clenched his fist as he took a deep breath, beads of sweat dripping from his forehead.
(Rean) “Heed my call…VALIMAR, THE ASHEN KNIGHT!”
From the skies, the two of them heard an:
“Acknowledged!”
One of the last few rays of lights had a silver figure emerge from it, flying rapidly downwards towards Rean. It pulled out a massive tachi as Rean quickly teleported into the machine.
(Rean’s voice) “Altina, we’re rushing it! Kazuma, do your thing!”
Valimar flew forward as the silver haired girl had a small machine materialize behind her and joined Rean. Both machines slammed into its center of mass as it tried getting back up.
(Kazuma) “Psh, do my thing! I DON’T just hide behind shit-”
(Helena) “And what exactly do you do then?”
(Kazuma) “FUCKING- Gah! How did you even sneak by- Know what? Doesn’t matter! We need them to distract it, and we jump in for the kill!”
Helena simply nodded. The two of them crept around the trees as Valimar and Altina were pushed back, joining with the rest of the group. The Hunter’s limbs transformed into guns once again as it began glowing orange. Everyone with guns and spells attempted to shoot the cores, but it kept dodging out the attacks, all while aiming at the group.
(Duvalie) “Damn it, even if a few of us can dodge this next attack, some of us are gonna get killed!”
(Rean) “Get behind Valimar, everyone! I’ll take the blows and-”
(Sitri) “No!”
Sitri nodded to Sothis who outstretched both arms out. Sitri’s capelet flew in the wind as she put one arm into the air.
(Sitri) “No one’s getting killed on my watch! Goddess take you, you mechanical abomination!”
She motioned her arms sideways as Sothis closed both arms together, forming a massive circle around every single one of them just as the Hunter fired at them. Each shot deflected off into the air and dissipated, lighting up the black skies in glorious streaks of orange and red. Immediately, the soldier in yellow fired his rifle at the core, quickly followed by every single ranged user in the group, whittling it down as it was riddled with bullets, arrows, and magic.
The blonde woman and Venti’s eyes glowed green as a strong wind blew Diluc and Duvalie towards the machine, Valimar and Altina quickly following behind and striking as one, destroying its lower half.
The core was still intact as it flew backwards near the ground, sparking. As its hands tried to transform, Helena and Kazuma leapt from the trees and grabbed onto a hand each, repeatedly stabbing it. Kazuma was screaming expletives while Helena remained calm, each destroying it by stabbing critical joints.
Helena rolled off her hand and towards the group while Kazuma tumbled and landed face first into the dirt. Quickly springing back up, a small glowing energy formed in his hand.
(Kazuma) “ANYONE WHO’S GOOD AT SHIELD SHIT, COVER YOURSELVES GOOD! I’M ABOUT TO DO A MEGUMIN SPECIAL!”
Aigis, Towa, and Rean’s eyes shot wide as they instantly went to grab anyone without explaining and covered them to the best of their ability. As the Hunter tried to get up, it saw Kazuma’s hand glow even brighter than the portal it had come from.
(Kazuma) “EXPLOOOOOOOOOOSION!”
And from his hand erupted a spell of catastrophic destruction, igniting the Hunter, many of the trees, and the ground in front of him into a fiery inferno that shot up into the sky, lighting the entire void as it too exploded into shards of light, finally bringing back the blue skies that had been there previously.
Kazuma once again fell to the floor as everyone took a deep breath and slowly emerged from their circle. The skirmish was finally over.
(Stefan) “We’re…We’re alive! Hah, WE’RE ALIVE!”
(Astrid) “THANK THE GODDESS!”
Stefan and Astrid immediately hugged each other, cheering while everyone else was still trying to come down from their adrenaline rush. Sitri and Sothis fell to the ground on one knee before being helped by the blonde woman. Towa rushed over to Kazuma and wiped the dirt from his face.
(Blonde Woman) “Are you alright?”
(Sitri) “Yes, thank you for saving me earlier, miss…?”
(Blonde Woman) “Jean.”
She looked at her surroundings now that she was given a chance and realized there were more faces here she didn’t recognize.
(Jean) “I take it we’re not the only strangers here?”
Kairos and Elizabeth realized Lisa was standing awfully close to them before awkwardly stepping backwards and realizing just how many offworlders were now present.
The soldier sheathed his weapons and nodded in satisfaction, Duvalie raised an eyebrow at Class VII but sighed and put her sword and shield on her back. Class VII all high fived each other, though Altina and the silver haired boy seemed less than enthused by such an act. The Garreg Mach students seemed to have mixed reactions but at least were happy to survive the ordeal in one piece. The element wielders smiled but kept their reactions surprisingly subdued. Rean, Towa, and Aigis were by Kazuma as he cursed left and right on how a simple training exercise turned into a fight for their lives.
Sitri looked at Sothis with an excited look.
(Sothis) “No need to say it to me, I can already hear it.”
(Sitri) “First of all, I thank you for your assistance in helping evacuate the students and combating these strange monsters. I fear what would’ve happened if it weren’t for you all.”
Everyone slowly stopped talking and gave their full attention to Sitri.
(Sitri) “Today was supposed to be a test on your combat skills, but it was only through working together we were able to prevail. For my students especially, you have my utmost respect for standing your ground and fighting alongside us, despite the dangers.”
She and Sothis took a glance at those not from Fodlan and crossed her arms.
(Sitri) “For those not from here, even though you owe us nothing, you still risked your lives to save us. I’m afraid we cannot offer you passage home, at least not directly. But I believe there’s a reason.”
Suddenly, the offworlders began to look at one another nervously.
(Sitri) “You are not the first visitors here, nor will you be the last I suspect. For that reason, you will be under the protection of Garreg Mach Monastery and the Officer’s Academy during your stay, and treated as one of our own. And it is for that reason, I am choosing to reinstate our fifth house, House Isekai. You will be led by me and the four next to you.”
(Rean) “...Wait, what…?!”
(Towa) “What?!”
(Kazuma) “HUH!?”
(Aigis) “O-Oh.”
(Sitri) “As for you, my students, I would have you join them.”
The soldier turned to Duvalie, who only shrugged in response. The members of Class VII noted Rean and Towa’s expressions and were left even more confused than before. The element wielders all raised an eyebrow but could make no comment. Stefan, Astrid and Helena looked slightly surprised while Kairos and Elizabeth’s jaws dropped. Sitri watched with a slowly diminishing smile, realizing how mixed the reactions were.
(Sitri) …I thought they’d be happier about this.
(Sothis) “Do they even know what ‘isekai’ even means? Because I’m pretty sure we still don’t.”
(Aigis) “Only two of us present do.”
Sitri opened her mouth to say something, but could find no words as the awkward silence took over. Her confidence began deflating as she started to devolve back to her introverted self.
(Sitri) “Er…”
(Astrid) “Y-YEAAH! New House! WOOooo…Woo…”
Everyone remained silent as they stared at her, Astrid’s cheerful demeanor shrinking by the second. Helena and Stefan put a sympathetic hand on her shoulders while Sothis clapped her hands together.
(Sothis) “All right, it’s been a long day, we all have endless questions of who we all are, but let’s put that aside and get back to a nice soft bed, shall we?”
Everyone seemed to agree with a silent nod and followed Sitri back. Everyone except Rean, Towa, Aigis, and Kazuma.
(Rean) “...I’m starting to think Kazuma was onto something, this is not what we signed up for.”
(Towa) “W-Well, it’s a good thing I was a member of House Isekai staff before…Probably?”
(Aigis) “I have a feeling that we’ll be needing to rely on you for the coming wee-”
(Kazuma)

Rean, Towa, Aigis, and Kazuma are the first responders to Sitri's call for aid.
Their stay was supposed to be only brief, but forces beyond them has the group change plans...

(Kazuma) "Towa? This is Kazuma. Let's send in the cavalry."
Kazuma noticed a small ripple in the air in front of him before it erupted into a blinding white light, then finally ripping a hole into reality.
And through it, he was able to see three familiar figures on the other side standing on a circular platform surrounded by shining lights and steel walls. It was his friends' presence that made him stomach the unfamiliar surroundings. Just like how it was back then.
(Rean) "Glad to have you with us, Kazuma."
(Towa) "Kazuma!"
(Aigis) "Hello again."
Kazuma smirked as he stepped through the portal, eyeing it as it closed behind him.
(Kazuma) "Yo. Been a while."
Rean and Aigis gave Kazuma a nod while Towa ran up to hug him, he was startled before returning the hug. After Towa backed off, Kazuma took a moment to look closely around him. There was no way into the room as there wasn't even a door, yet somehow the three of them were here.
(Kazuma) "So, where exactly is this?"
Rean looked around the room, crossing his arms as he spoke.
(Rean) "Apparently this is inside the Zanado Tower. Sothis mentioned something about being able to teleport us directly to Fodlan by first transporting us here, then to Garreg Mach."
(Aigis) "I suppose it makes sense, seeing how the Tower is why we even arrived here to begin with."
(Towa) "Anyways now that you're here, Kazuma, we'll go ahead and give Sitri the go ahead. We'll all catch up later once the immediate threat is taken care of!"
Everyone nodded in agreement. Whatever transpired in their own worlds would have to wait. Towa pulled out her ARCUS unit and was preparing to call Sitri before the room suddenly started humming to life with electrical parts sparking.
(Kazuma) "...This suppose to happen?"
Towa took a few steps forward and looked left and right.
(Towa) "Well, we can still move around, so maybe?-"
An almost deafening crack of thunder cut Towa off as the room suddenly turned jet black, voices that were not their own suddenly filling the void.
The four lost their footing as they quickly plummeted downwards as if they were falling.
(Everyone) "GAH!" "S-SHIIIIIT!" "Whoa!"
As they fell downwards, shards flew rapidly past and around them, the speed of which became faster the longer they fell. Rean extended his hand to catch Towa, making sure she was holding on tight. Aigis's legs opened and revealed a jet booster, rocketing to catch Kazuma's shirt, and finally grabbed Rean and Towa with her other free hand.
They all looked straight down now that they were together and realized the shards all had some kind of picture on them. Listening closely, they realized the voices were more familiar than they thought.
Voices of their friends in their worlds, ones from Fodlan, and sometimes even themselves echoed throughout the void, all replaying some sort of memory from long ago. Though no one could make out the words as it was incoherent, with every voice speaking almost at once as it sped past their heads and quickly faded away.
After what seemed like an eternity falling, they finally began approaching the light they were falling towards. The speed at which they fell gradually began to reduce as their vision was once again enveloped in white, the four bracing themselves as Aigis's boosters tried to ease their landing.
...
The world turned from a bright white to a fair blue and green as the four fell out from the sky. Though the combination of Aigis's booster and the portal slowed down their fall, the group still fell on top of each other with a loud thud. The weight of four people falling at such speed knocked the wind out of them, trying to make their worlds stop spinning for a moment.
(Kazuma) "Augh! Motherfu...!-"
(Towa) "Ooow...!"
(Rean) "Tch, are you guys okay?"
(Aigis) "No external damage detected."
Aigis's eyes changed from a bright blue to pure white as she examined her friends.
(Aigis) "Minor bruising will be likely, but I scan no internal damage."
(Kazuma) "My ass! And speaking of, I'm pretty sure you landing on me cracked it..."
Aigis and Rean helped Towa and Kazuma up before finally realizing where they were. The group landed in the middle of a crowded courtyard, with several students and knights staring at them in both awe and confusion.
At least it was Garreg Mach they fell into.
(Towa) "...H-Hello. Sorry for the intrusion!"
Towa laughed nervously, but no one even moved in an inch in response. Kazuma put a sympathetic hand on her shoulder before clearing his throat.
(Kazuma) "Yeah, sorry for the heart attack. We'll be on our way."
Kazuma shoved the three in the opposite direction to hopefully avoid any more eyes staring before a group of knights cut them off and stood in their way. The students began to slowly back away as more and more knights began to surround the four.
(Aigis) "Please, wait a moment! We're friends of Sitri, she asked for us to -"
(Woman's voice) "Aigis?"
The four's head turned behind them, recognizing that voice. Mercedes gently pushed aside the knights as her smile grew bigger.
(Mercedes) "Ah, it is you! And some other familiar faces!"
(Kazuma) "Mercedes!"
Everyone seemed to relax upon seeing her, calming down the sudden ramping of tension.
(Knight) "You know these people, ma'am? They just dropped out of the sky!"
(Mercedes) "Yes, they tend to do that. Strange, is it not?"
Mercedes turned to address the students still watching.
(Mercedes) "Please be at ease, everyone! These are old friends of the faculty who have a...particular way of traveling. Continue getting ready for the Practical Exam, and good luck!"
Mercedes then walked up to the group as she looked at the knights.
(Mercedes) "I'll handle it from here, as you were."
The knight gave a small salute and nodded.
(Knight) "Ma'am."
The students began chattering among themselves as the knights shrugged and went back to their business. Mercedes put a hand to her mouth as she giggled.
(Mercedes) "You really need to find a more elegant way of making an entrance."
(Rean) "Hah, yeah..."
Mercedes extended her arms for a wide hug and somehow managed to catch everyone in. Rean, Towa, and Aigis gladly returned the sentiment while Kazuma was getting crushed between everyone.
(Towa) "It's so good to see you again, Mercie!"
(Kazuma) "ACK! S-SUFFOCATING!"
(Mercedes) "Oh, come on, Kazuma! I haven't seen you in two years, at least let me hug you just this once!"
(Aigis) "No complaints here."
(Rean) "Think this is bad? You should see Elliot's dad."
Mercedes let go after a few seconds, Kazuma trying to regain his breath.
(Kazuma) "Whew... Thanks for saving our asses there. Now what's changed around-...!"
(Towa) "Kazuma? What's-"
Towa stopped as well once her eyes glanced over to the direction he was facing. Aigis and Rean were quick to catch on and realized there were mechs walking around Garreg Mach. Not only that, but the Monastery itself was far more advanced than last they saw it. A few students were walking around with small flat pocket crystals that lit up. The knights were walking around with mechs out on patrol, every group bearing the insignia of Adrestia, Faerghus, and Leicester. Mercedes turned around and finally realized why they stopped talking.
(Mercedes) "Ah, yes. Fodlan has advanced quite far in technology since you left. Honestly, it leaves me speechless, too."
(Kazuma) "Advanced quite far? You guys skipped genres! You have god damn mech suits?!"
(Aigis) "And the pocket devices the students are carrying resemble technology from our world."
(Towa) "Actually Rean, don't they remind you of-?"
(Rean) "ARCUS units and Panzer Soldats..."
Mercedes nodded and motioned the group to follow her. They went through the main entrance hall of Garreg Mach, taking the long way to get to the Listening Chamber.
(Mercedes) "After you had left, Edelgard decided to pursue technological advancements that the Church had previously banned. But I'd be lying if I said we didn't take any inspiration from your worlds."
Rean and the others looked slightly uncomfortable with that fact.
(Towa) "Well, I suppose it was bound to happen considering how effective we were during the war, but I never would have imagined the speed of your progress."
Passing by even more students and guards, it was then the group realized many were staring at them. Mercedes continued to inform them on their current tech and how the Empire was leading Fodlan's advancement of it. As they got out of public sight, a group of students whispered to each other as they went up the staircase.
(Astrid) "Hey, did you see those people behind Professor Mercedes?"
(Stefan) "They didn't look like any of the typical mercenaries that pass by here."
Helena just shrugged as Elizabeth cleared her throat.
(Elizabeth) "Tch, pay them no mind. We've got more pressing matters at hand! We're already late to the assembly!"
(Kairos) “Then why are we stopping? Let’s go already!”
The student body all rushed towards the Cathedral, all accompanied and watched over by various soldiers who were directing the flow of people into their designated spots.
…
Mercedes opened the door to the Audience Chamber, clearing her throat.
(Mercedes) “Lady Sitri, our guests have arrived.”
Sitri turned around with a smile that only grew upon seeing the four. Sothis popped out and waved hello.
(Sitri) “Thank you, Mercedes. I’ll take it from here.”
Mercedes smiled at the four before taking her leave. Rean, Towa, Kazuma, and Aigis stepped inside, making sure the door behind them was closed.
(Sothis) “Well, look at you all! You’ve all grown since last we spoke…Except Kazuma.”
Rean just smirked while Towa and Aigis failed to contain their giggles. Kazuma clicked his tongue, frowning.
(Kazuma) “I come to save your ass and THIS is the treatment I get? I should’ve just stayed at home.”
Sitri chuckled as she bowed towards the group and cleared her throat.
(Sitri) “Thank you all for coming on such short notice. Though, you are here a bit sooner than I expected.”
(Sothis) “Yeah, weren’t you supposed to call them?”
(Rean) “About that, we were just teleported without warning once all four of us gathered. Did you maybe channel your magic too early?”
Sitri and Sothis looked at each other.
(Sothis) “I…was speaking to Sitri, actually. She hadn’t even made the call yet.”
The smiles faded from everyone’s faces once the implication was made.
(Aigis) “But...Towa said she had received a message from Sitri calling for House Isekai a few hours ago.”
(Towa) “T-To be fair, it’s not like the flow of time has always been 100% accurate from Fodlan to our world. This is the first time we’ve actually shown up willingly, after all. Maybe it's just being wonky as per usual.”
(Rean) “I…Yeah, that’s a good point, actually.”
Everyone took a breath of relief. The explanation made sense.
(Sitri) “Regardless, we are glad you’re here. I may have to modify my plans a bit, but this will do perfectly!”
(Kazuma) “So, why did you call us? It doesn’t look like Garreg Mach is in much danger at all.”
Sitri stepped forward to the center of everyone’s attention while Sothis floated to her side.
(Sitri) “You all are former students of Garreg Mach, and my son Byleth. Together, you all have traveled and endured many trials that the people of Fodlan could not even dream of. I formally request your aid in the teaching of an elite group of students that will receive the most dangerous tasks of the three nations of the Fodlan Alliance, as the Headmaster of Garreg Mach Monastery.”
(Towa) “You...want us to be teachers?”
(Sothis) “Advisors, more accurately. We need people who have seen all types of combat to make sure our kids are ready for anything.”
(Kazuma) “H-Hey hang on a sec! We’re here to kick ass the moment we see a monster or person, not to fight a buncha brats!”
Rean couldn’t help but laugh, everyone turning their attention to him.
(Rean) “Honestly? I think this is better than having an actual emergency. Besides, it’s just pretty much doing more of what I already do.”
(Aigis) “Wait, you’re a teacher now?”
(Towa) “Both of us, actually! Rean teaches another Class VII, funnily enough!”
(Sothis) “Hm, I can see it. He pretty much was the one of the few responsible ones in that group. But back to the point, your stay won’t be for very long. Just enough to where you think they’ll be ready without your guidance.”
(Sitri) “Indeed. We understand if you need to return home, since you have responsibilities in your own worlds.”
(Towa) “Well, I think we just need to phone a few people so you don’t have an entire army invading the Monastery guns blazing. But, I don’t see why not. Rean?”
(Rean) “No complaints from me. Aigis, Kazuma?”
(Aigis) “It’d be an honor to help carry on Byleth’s legacy.”
The attention turned back to Kazuma, who mumbled something under his breath before groaning.
(Kazuma) “Fine, fine! Guilt trip me more, why don’t cha?”
(Sothis) “Been spending too much time with Aqua? I can hear her complaining in you-”
(Kazuma) “Compare me to that useless blue thing one more time, AND THERE WILL BE NO DIVINE PULSE TO REVERSE WHAT I DO TO YOU.”
Sitri loudly cleared her throat to stifle Kazuma’s anger and the others’ laughter.
(Sitri) “Now, as for what my plans are for you…”

The students all chatted amongst themselves, splitting off into their respective classes. Mercedes, Yuri, and Constance all organized each House, making sure everyone was present and accounted for. Recette and Tear eagerly spoke with groups of students and guards, easing their fears of being able to pass and making small talk.
Kairos and Helena were split off to the Golden Deers while Astrid and Elizabeth were with the Blue Lions. Stefan spoke to Constance about what was being looked out for in their performance.
After around half an hour of getting situated, Sitri finally entered through the main halls with students and guards alike standing at attention. Mercedes, Yuri, Constance, Recette, and Tear all filed in behind her as she made her way to the center of the cathedral’s massive room, standing in a straight line. Two Armigers and a contingent of guards all took position behind the line of staff, giving the Headmaster a proper air of authority, commanding the room full of students.
Sitri stepped forward, having the attention of hundreds of people on her. Two years ago, she would have been sick to the stomach at the very idea of a speech like this. But now…
(Sitri) “Students of Garreg Mach Monastery. I would like to congratulate you for having the talent and the courage to enroll at the Officer’s Academy during these troubled times. I pray that the Goddess blesses you with good fortune, and good health throughout your studies here. And whatever it is you wish to find, whether that be stability, glory, or simply an education, you shall have it all, alongside good company.”
Sitri, Recette, and Tear heard Sothis scoff, her voice echoing throughout the entire chamber, thankfully with no one else hearing it.
(Sothis) “Psh, if only they knew that the goddess doesn’t even know any of their names-”
Sitri moved subtly to where it looked natural enough to where no one would question it, while elbowing Sothis so hard she lost balance and almost stopped floating.
(Sothis) “H-Hey!”
(Sitri) “This year, your House will travel across Fodlan and learn how to live your life to the fullest. However, do not be under the pretense that this year will be easy. There will be many hardships ahead of you. There are a few among you who will be pushing themselves to the very brink.Testing your limits, your faith, your way of life, even. But do not let that discourage you. I believe that every one of you has the strength to persevere and emerge a greater person than you are now.”
Sitri began pacing back and forth slowly as she continued her speech.
(Sitri) “Today’s Practical Exam will be the first of many tests of your mettle. Though you have attended the Officer’s Academy for a month now, it is today where you all shall truly become students. You will demonstrate your ability to handle yourselves on the battlefield, first and foremost. While your individual skills are indeed important, never forget that it is those at your side who will win you victory. Teamwork will be the key to your success today, for this will be no ordinary exam. I have…altered it.”
The room quietly grew in noise with murmurs, all the students looking at each other in confusion.
(Sitri) “The plan was to have you all fight your Professors, just as the mock battles of the past have done so. You all will have no such repeat. Your opponents today will be far more formidable than ever before.”
Sitri gestured to the side, where Rean, Kazuma, Aigis, and Towa all walked and stood in a line, facing the students. It was now the entire room erupted into chatter, with even guards giving a glance to one another. The staff behind Sitri remained steadfast while the four resisted the urge to look at each other. After a few moments of the chatter dying out, Sitri continued.
(Sitri) “Give your all to defeat them. I will be watching closely. You are dismissed.”
Mercedes, Yuri, and Constance led their classes out as they were all escorted by Guards, all of them making their way out to the fields outside Garreg Mach. Once the room was relatively cleared out, Kazuma was the first one to speak.
(Kazuma) “Call me crazy, but I don’t think any of them are exactly pleased to see us.”
(Aigis) “Are you sure it is wise to make them fight us?”
(Sitri) “Honestly? What we need now is something they aren’t prepared for. If no one in our student body can hope to defeat even one of you, then we have our work cut out for us…”
(Rean) “Well, if even Instructor Cocytus could turn the School-Living Club into somewhat decent fighters, I think we can manage.”
(Towa) “Don’t you worry, we’ll make someone in that sea of people shine, you have our word!”
(Sothis) “Heh, I wonder if they’ll be as rowdy as the last generation…”
(Kazuma) “For the sake of our sanity, I hope to god not…”

Every class organized their gear and adjusted their uniforms as they prepared for the mock battle. Some were confidently boasting on how they could take on a couple of nobodies from another world, while some were raising concerns of why they were even back to begin with. The feeling was tense, and not just because battle was drawing near.
Regardless of their feelings, they were now on the field, some were in an open plain, a forest, or a mixture of both. They stood far enough from the staff to where they were completely out of sight from one another.
Elizabeth flipped through her spellbook as she buttoned up her collar.
(Elizabeth) “Ridiculous! How could Lady Sitri think inviting those offworlders back was in any shape a good idea?!”
Astrid twirled her lance before sheathing it on her back.
(Astrid) “Oh come on, they don’t look that scary! They kinda look like us. ‘Cept that green fella. He looked pretty young.”
…
Helena sharpened her daggers in an almost rhythmic pattern. It was almost second nature to her at this point. Kairos scowled as he adjusted his glasses and put his spellbook on his belt.
(Kairos) “I cannot believe that Lady Sitri invited those offworld meddlers back to Fodlan, just when we finally got rid of them!”
(Helena) “Hm.”
(Kairos) “Honestly, they need to learn how to mind their own business and…are you even paying attention to me?”

Stefan took a deep breath as he adjusted the straps on his shield.
(Stefan) “So, some of House Isekai is back…”
He closed his eyes for a few moments before taking one final deep breath, and nodding to himself. He left to join the rest of his class.

Rean adjusted his tachi’s sheathe and pulled out his ARCUS unit and began to calibrate it. Towa checked her pistol and did the same with her ARCUS. Aigis went through a self diagnosis, checking her weapons systems and ensuring her weapons were set to non-lethal. Kazuma stood with his arms on his hips, impatiently tapping his foot and fingers rapidly tapping against his dagger and short sword.
(Rean) “Well, beats being dropped into a pit.”
(Towa) “Hah, could you imagine their reactions if we pulled that stunt?”
(Aigis) “Systems nominal. Training ready to commence.”
(Kazuma) “How come Aigis and I gotta go by ourselves while you get to have Towa as backup, Schwarzer?”
(Rean) “I thought you’d like the opportunity to test your legendary stealth on ‘brats’, Kazuma.”
Kazuma wasn’t looking at Rean, but he could hear the smirk.
(Kazuma) “How about you just summon your giant robot and hurry this up?"
(Rean) “Oh come on, Valimar is overkill.”
(Towa) “Just play nice, okay, Kazuma?”
Kazuma rolled his eyes.
(Kazuma) “Sure, whatever. Let’s get this over with.”
(Rean) “Good luck everyone.”
The four nodded and went into their own directions. Rean and Towa walked towards the plains, Kazuma casually strolled into the forest while Aigis quickly ran towards the hybrid area.

Sitri stood on top of a hill, overlooking the entire battlefield to where she could get a good view of the action. Looking off to her side, Sothis crossed her arms and yawned.
(Sothis) “Think the ten minutes of preparation passed. Shall we see what these students got?”
Sitri gave a nod before turning around to her escort.
(Sitri) “Guards, sound the trumpets!”
Two guards gave a salute before they played a short tune that rang out across the field.

(Rean) “Let’s show them what Class VII can do, Towa!”
(Towa) “Right behind you, Rean!”
…
(Aigis) “Mission commencing.”
…
(Kazuma) “All right ya little shits, come at me!”

(Elizabeth) “I will bring glory to the Mcgrath House today!”
(Astrid) “You can calm down there, Elizabeth. It’s just a practice fight…”

(Kairos) “Hmph, I’ll show them all!”
(Helena) “..Meh.”

(Stefan) “Okay, you got this, Stefan! Focus!”

(Sitri) “Let the exam begin!”

As soon as the trumpets began playing, the students all rushed forward. The Golden Deers rushed to the open plains while the Black Eagles cautiously walked into the forest. The Blue Lions marched towards the area containing both the plains and forest, with all their teachers watching on the hill with Sitri.
(Yuri) “So, you think any of them are actually ready for what’s about to happen?”
(Mercedes) “If all of our Houses were barely able to keep up after getting an entire year to know them, I doubt it.”
(Constance) “I do hope that the students don’t take defeat too hard.”
(Sitri) “I think it might be too early to say just yet, let us observe for now.”

The Golden Deers saw 2 figures standing in the open. Both of them were in white clothing wielding strange weapons. As the class approached, the two slowly walked up to greet them.
(Towa) “To which House do we owe the pleasure of today’s mock battle?”
The students were taken aback, not expecting a pleasant greeting to begin the fight. No one was sure what to say as they awkwardly looked at each other. Helena eyed the two of them while Kairos rolled his eyes and stepped forward.
(Kairos) “The Golden Deer House. What are the names of the offworlders we’ll be defeating?”
(Towa) “Towa Herschel of Class VII!”
(Rean) “Rean Schwarzer of Class VII. And it’s a bit too early to think you’ll win, isn’t it?”
(Kairos) “It’s only two of you against nearly two dozen of us.”
(Helena) “...They’re dangerous. Don’t underestimate them.”
(Kairos) “What?”
The entire house turned to Helena, who suddenly changed into a completely different fighting stance. Before, her body language showed uninterest, lazily keeping up with the class as she mindlessly twirled her dagger. Now, she held her weapon completely still and straightened her back. Kairos didn’t know Helena that well, admittedly, but he knew she never took anything seriously. Until now.
(Rean) “Allow us to demonstrate what these ‘offworlders’ can do, then.”
Even Rean and Towa’s friendly demeanor seemed to change as they readied themselves for battle. Rean’s left hand stayed on the hilt of his weapon while Towa held the strange small weapon to her chest. With one free hand they both pulled out a small device-
(Rean and Towa) “ARCUS, activate!”
A group of five bigger students pushed Kairos aside as they wielded a myriad of lances and swords.
(Student) “Out of our way, we can handle these chumps! LET’S GET THEM!”
They all laughed as they boldly charged the two who were still standing there.
(Kairos) “W-What are they-”
Helena’s eyes grew wide as she motioned to the rest of the class.
(Helena) “Get back, now!”
Hearing the urgency in her voice, the remaining students and Kairos fell back a few good paces, waiting to see what the two did. Towa’s began to glow with a green aura as she suddenly darted to the furthest right student.
(Towa) “Target scanned! Weak link is on the right, start with him!”
Rean nodded as his free hand grabbed his hilt and started leaning downwards.
(Rean) “Second form, GALE!-”
In the blink of an eye, Rean seemingly teleported to each one of them before leaping back in front of Towa in less than a second. His sword slashed forward and blew every single student flying back with their weapons shattered. Kairos and the others had their jaws drop as they saw their fallen comrades.
(Helena) “Casters, Archers, quit staring and get firing! That small one’s analyzing us too!”
Everyone hastily got into position and began charging their attacks while Helena kept her eyes entirely on Rean. Kairos began to sweat. He suddenly felt that all his studying would amount to nothing in the face of these offworlders.

Kazuma looked around the surroundings of the forest for a brief moment. He chuckled as he reminisced about the first memories he had of Fodlan, which included this exact mock battle, although that was against the Houses themselves. At that point, only his group was present before everyone else showed up.
(Kazuma) “Hmph, time just goes in circles doesn’t i-”
An arrow flew by his head as he yelled out in terror.
(Kazuma) “-FUUUUUCKING HELL!”
He quickly leapt back and pulled out a dagger as students began to emerge from the trees with their weapons drawn.
(Kazuma) “Who’s the punk who was firing that arrow?! You almost took my head off!”
A student raised a hand sheepishly.
(Student) “S-Sorry, I’m new at this!”
(Kazuma) “Yeah, I can tell! Jesus, Bernadetta at least could aim toward my damn foot for a warning shot!”
(Female Student) “Wait, you know Lady Varley?”
(Kazuma) “...Oh yeah, she was a noble, wasn’t she-? Wait if you recognize the first name, that means you guys are the Black Eagles?”
(Stefan) “Er, yes sir, we are. A-Are you ready to fight or-?”
(Kazuma) “Do I look like a sir to you?! I’m at the very least just 2 years older than you!”
(Female Student) “Man, you’re pretty whiny for an offwo-”
(Kazuma) “ALRIGHT, THAT’S IT! YOU’RE FIGHTING SATOU KAZUMA, AND I’M KICKING YOUR ASSES!”
Kazuma jumped backwards behind the tree and was quickly pursued by the three students. However when they looked behind it, he was nowhere to be found.
(Student) “W-What in-, where did he go?!”
(Female Student) “He was just there a second ago! How could he-?!”
(Stefan) “Keep your guards up! Everyone stick together and-”
WIthout warning, the student holding the bow suddenly screamed as he dropped the weapon and shook. Stefan and the female student were shocked as they saw only a glowing hand on his neck before it vanished behind the darkness. The affected student fell to the floor groaning.
(Stefan) “D-Did he just drain…?! Nevermind, we need to stay calm and-”
(Female) “He’s in the trees…! HE’S IN THE TREES!”
The remaining Black Eagles students began to flail helplessly around as they heard Kazuma’s laughter echo throughout the forest.
(Stefan) “Oh man, it’s going to be a long day, isn’t it…?”
…
Elizabeth and Astrid led the first group of Blue Lions students towards the field as the other groups kept an eye inside the forest area.
(Astrid) “Hey, Elizabeth. Do you hear screaming?”
(Elizabeth) “Pay it no mind, I’m sure they can handle it. Besides, our House requires my expertise and your brawn, we cannot afford to spare it for others! And speaking of which-”
They saw a blonde haired woman standing out in the open, and seemingly appreciating the view. Astrid motioned for everyone to surround her while Elizabeth confidently strolled forward, planting herself right in view of the offworlder.
(Elizabeth) “I am Elizabeth Mcgrath of the Blue Lions! Today, we shall be your opponents, I would ask yours before our duel!”
Aigis finally turned her attention to Elizabeth and slowly looked around her.
(Aigis) “My name is Aigis. A pleasure.”
(Elizabeth) “Let it be known that my holy magic can knock anyone down, so fear Noble elegance incarnate!”
(Astrid) “I think you’re gonna hurt yourself if you keep patting yourself on the back there-”
(Elizabeth) “Shush, Astrid!”
(Aigis) “I trust none of you will hold back?”
Elizabeth’s hands glowed with a white aura as she scoffed.
(Elizabeth) “To an offworlder? I think not!”
(Aigis) “Affirmative. Neither will I. Evoker use authorized. Athena.”
The area around Aigis suddenly exploded into blue flames, making everyone take a step back. A massive woman with a helmet and white robes, wielding a shield and lance now stood behind Aigis in the flames, yet they could slightly see through the woman. Elizabeth and Astrid looked at each other to confirm no one was hallucinating it.
(Elizabeth) “Everyone, attack!”
(Astrid) “MOVE IN!”
In an instant, Athena’s shield deflected a pillar of holy magic that shot up underneath her as Aigis leapt several feet into the air, avoiding Astrid and the other students’ charge. Aigis’s right hand transformed into a weapon no one recognized and fired a single tube-like object at the ground as she landed, erupting into an explosion and created a smoke screen.
(Student) cough “How did she-?!”
(Astrid) “Everyone, out the smoke!” cough
Athena suddenly blinked into existence in front of the retreating student and charged forward with her shield, pushing every single one of them into each other and sending them tumbling into Elizabeth. Aigis twirled towards incoming reinforcements from the trees and her left hand began firing small pellets rapidly that forced them into cover.
(Elizabeth) “T-That’s not a human…!”
Aigis turned to her with a smirk slowly growing. Although she wasn’t a human, the expression definitely was.
(Aigis) “Affirmative. I am Aigis, an Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon.”
…
About ten minutes had passed and already most of the students were limping away with bruises or getting picked off. Sitri, the staff, and some of the guards watched with concern at the lack of cohesion fighting the former members of House Isekai.
(Yuri) “I know it’s been a while since we’ve seen them fight, but I swear they’ve gotten even better since they left.”
(Recette) “Man, they’re really getting their butts kicked.”
(Tear) “That…is an accurate description.”
(Constance) “Goodness me, and this is them holding back as well! We’re expected to send these children into life-threatening fights?”
(Mercedes) “I suppose it’s better to humble them now where their life isn’t in immediate danger. Your thoughts, Headmaster?”
Everyone turned to Sitri, who was holding one hand to her forehead, seemingly disappointed.
(Yuri) “Yikes. Suppose that says everything we-”
(Sitri) “M-My apologies everyone. The fight is not why…Erg, my head!”
(Guard) “My lady, are you ill?”
Sitri didn’t reply, at least not to the people around her.
(Sitri) Sothis, you’re feeling this too, right?
Sothis also held a hand to her head, which Recette and Tear moved closer to comfort her.
(Recette) “Hey, is everything okay?”
(Sothis) “Y-Yeah, I am…!”
Before anyone could question what was happening, a thundering crack from the sky made everyone almost jump and reach instinctively for their weapons. Sitri fell to the floor on one knee while Sothis was caught by Recette. Several of the guards rushed over to Sitri, including the staff.
(Guard) “Lady Sitri!”
(Mercedes) “What’s happening?”
(Tear) “Guards, stop the battle at once, I fear something terrible is about to happen…”
Nodding and without hesitation, the two guards with the trumpets rang off a single low note throughout the field.
…
Kairos and Helena were nearly out of breath as they could barely dodge Towa’s shots anymore. Both of them had been hit several times by her weapon, feeling the bruises on their shoulders. Meanwhile, Rean had dispatched most of the class with ease with pure speed. Some of the others were dumb enough to think Towa was defenseless and paid the price by limping away pathetically.
(Helena) “H…How do you have so much stamina…?!”
(Rean) “You two are pretty good, I’ll say that much. You’re the only ones actually working together, albeit a bit loosely.”
(Kairos) “What, now you’re mocking us?!”
(Rean) “Simply making an observation-.”
The sound of a nearly deafening crack interrupted Rean and made everyone look up to find the source. Shortly after the sound, Rean and Towa reached for their heads, cringing in pain.
(Kairos) “...H-Hey, are you two alright?”
…
(Kazuma) “Son of a…bitch! Agh, my head!”
(Student) “H-Hey, I found him! But, he’s in pain!”
(Stefan) “Um, do we have a healer still around? Hang on, Kazuma!”
He looked confusingly up towards the sky, trying to find anything unusual to notice.
(Stefan) “Is it because of that noise…?”
…
(Aigis) “S-Systems overloading…?”
Aigis fell down to the floor as her sensors were beginning to overflow, her Persona quickly dissipating into the air leaving everyone concerned. Astrid slowly rose up from the ground as she helped Elizabeth as well, looking at Aigis.
(Astrid) “Preeetty sure she’s not down because of us.”
(Elizabeth) “First it’s that crack and now it’s-”
The sound of a horn quickly grabbed everyone’s attention.
(Astrid) “The battle’s over already?”
(Elizabeth) “That’s not the sound they make when we conclude the fight…That’s the emergency note!”
(Astrid) “Crap! Okay okay, help me grab the crazy lady of steel and-”
Another thunderous crack echoed throughout the air, this time it was far more violent and audible as rays of light suddenly shone down onto the ground. It was then everyone began to notice that the cloudless skies were suddenly turning black.

Sitri Eisner, Headmaster of Garreg Mach Monastery awakens to yet another day at the Officer's Academy.
Tomorrow is the day a select few students will be chosen to accompany her throughout Fodlan to help the newfound Alliance of Leicester, Fhirdiad, and Adrestia.
However, there are uncertainties among her staff of whether their students should be put in such danger, or if they're even ready for it...

DING, DING DING DING, DONG!
Sitri yawned as she heard the Monastery' bell echo throughout Garreg Mach. Rubbing her eyes, she slowly turned to the window that was letting sunlight in. It was in the sunlight Sitri saw a familiar figure crossing her arms and a scowl staring straight into her.
(Sothis) "I swear, the sleeping problems must run throughout the entire family."
(Sitri) yawn "Good morning, Sothis."
(Sothis) "It's noon, not morning!"
Sitri didn't respond as she lazily got off the bed and sat herself in a chair in front of the mirror. She dug around her drawers trying to find a brush before hearing Sothis continue.
(Sothis) "I can't believe anyone could possibly sleep this much!"
Sitri squinted at Sothis via the mirror as the brush straightened her dark green hair.
(Sitri) "I don't think you're in any position to lecture me about sleeping in."
(Sothis) "I stopped doing that years ago while you have yet to-!"
After a few moments Sitri began to tune the noise out. She got into her uniform and checked the mirror. Her modified nun outfit didn't display any dirt as the capelet covered her left shoulder. The armored gauntlets were comfortably resting in her elbows and forearms. Nodding, Sitri's eyes traveled down to her waist, where a small blue dagger remained still on her belt.
Sitri’s attention finally tuned back to Sothis talking, who was still going off about her sleep schedule. Deciding this was too early in the afternoon to deal with, Sitri cut her off.
(Sitri) "Sothis. Enough. It's time we head out."
(Sothis) "Ugh, we are not done talking about this!"
Sitri chuckled, pushing open the door and her eyes taking a moment to adjust to how bright today was. She turned to her left to see a multitude of students hanging around the student dorms. Some of them waved to her, to which she politely waved back with a smile.
The students seemed to be enjoying their Sunday off, all spending their free time relaxing, studying, or training with friends. After all this time, the sight never failed to make Sitri relax. As she approached the faculty office, the sounds of chatter were drowned out by loud clanking footsteps.
A steel golem that stood about three times the height of a normal man slowly walked past her, the stomping armor by a patrol of soldiers accompanying it. Sothis appeared behind Sitri, both of them staring at the golem as it slowly walked onto the bridge leading into the Cathedral.
(Sitri) "I still can't believe we're able to produce something like that in this day and age."
(Sothis) "Times are changing, I suppose."
Fodlan went from torches and horses to lights and metal carriages powered by fuel and magic in two short years. Many of the ideas of their newfound technology were heavily borrowed, however. Sitri seemed to recall Dimitri and Edelgard mentioning it was their offworld allies who had access to this advanced tech originally in their worlds, giving them the foundation of ideas to produce equivalents.
Chief among them being the Armiger Knight. It was a being made of metal, big enough for a person to get inside and take control of with a combination of magic and levers. It resembled a statue of a knight when standing still, the limbs and head being proportionate to pass as humanoid.
The three nations of Fodlan had a few regiments of them, but it was Garreg Mach that possessed the highest number of Armigers. Sitri had received training on how to pilot one, but she decided it'd be better to give hers to the student body for training purposes.
It was just one of many things she could never get used to seeing, no matter how many times it walked past her.
Beep beep!
Sitri's attention went to her belt as she pulled out a small flat crystal. Speaking of technology she hadn't gotten used to...It began glowing with blue energy as a voice spoke out of it.
(Mercedes's Voice) "Headmaster? Everyone is here at the Audience Chamber as you requested."
(Sitri) "I'm on my way."
The crystal dimmed as Sitri put it back in her pocket. They were called Communicator Crystals, last she recalled. She felt the name was a bit too long, but couldn't be bothered to think of a shorter name.
Deciding she had kept them waiting long enough, Sitri began to walk towards the faculty office, making sure to greet every student or soldier who bowed and said hello. Upon arriving at the entrance to the offices, she gave a nod to the two guards in front, who wore the colors of Fhirdiad and Leicester.
Sitri made her way up the stairs towards the Audience Chamber, passing by several Adrestian soldiers who gave her a salute as she walked by. Sitri saluted them back as they stepped to the side to let her pass. She opened the door to see her staff waiting for her.
Yuri gave a casual wave with one hand while Constance bowed. Mercedes smiled and gave a nod. Recette excitedly waved while Tear floated next to her shoulder, gracefully bowing.
(Mercedes) "Afternoon, Headmaster!"
(Yuri) "Little late, dont'cha think?"
(Tear) "Reminds me of a certain someone who's been sleeping in too much."
(Recette) "Hey, it's not like we were late or anything, Sitri was later than us!"
(Constance) "I am not sure that is something you should be banking on, Miss Lemongrass."
(Sitri) "Hah, sorry about that everyone."
Sothis simply sighed and floated over next to Tear. She could've chosen anywhere to float, but decided to hang around the few people that could actually see her. Mercedes, Yuri, and Constance, along with the rest of Fodlan, seemed to forget she ever existed alongside them.
Sitri walked to the front of the room and stood straight, nodding at everyone.
(Sitri) "Now, let us discuss our findings this week. Yuri, please start us off."

Kairos sat in front of his desk, slowly turning through the pages of a spellbook he had been studying for almost a week now. He could recite the movement needed to cast it entirely by memory, but he wanted to be safe rather than sorry.
There was no telling if the upcoming practical exam tomorrow was going to throw a curveball. Before he could focus any more attention to the repetitious task, he heard a knock at the door. He grunted in slight annoyance, adjusting his glasses before responding.
(Kairos) "The door is open."
The door gently swung open as he heard the clanking of armor walk into the room. Although many soldiers were heavily armored in the Monastery, there was only one person Kairos knew who'd wear one into the student dormitories..
(Stefan) "Still studying?"
(Kairos) "Hm."
(Stefan) "Come on, today's beautiful outside, you can't spend all day cooped up in here!"
(Kairos) "And have you already finished studying for the practical?"
(Stefan) "Er..."
Stefan laughed nervously, which told Kairos all he needed to know. Kairos spun around in his chair to face Stefan, giving an unamused look.
(Kairos) "Frankly, I'm more worried for your grades than mine. But, you do have a point. Some fresh air would be nice."
Stefan immediately perked up as he stepped to the side, arms gesturing out the door.
(Stefan) "Great! Let's grab something to bite real quick, I'm starving!"
Kairos chuckled and got up, the both of them walking towards the dining hall together. On the way, they saw an Armiger in the courtyard wobbling. Any student and guard steered clear of the field, letting it have the space to fall in case it did. A soldier bearing Adrestian colors and golden trims was the only one who stood close by, arms crossed and shaking his head.
(Soldier) "No, the lever on the top right, Mcgrath. If you don't turn that downwards, your Armiger will have its locking mechanism in place!"
(Stefan) "Oh man, that explains it. Elizabeth is in there."
(Kairos) "Psh, who cares about her? Just let her deal with it."
Kairos made a motion to keep moving, but Stefan couldn't help himself and walked towards the Armiger. The soldier immediately noted his presence.
(Soldier) "Ah, Stefan. I'd stand back if I were you. Mcgrath is struggling with this thing."
Elizabeth's voice rang out from the Armiger.
(Elizabeth's Voice) "M-My apologies, sir! I am used to horseback riding not...whatever this contraption is!"
(Stefan) "Elizabeth! Once you turn the locking mechanism off, use your magic to stabilize the Armiger, it'll make your balancing a lot easier!"
A brief moment of silence passed before the Armiger suddenly stood upright. No longer wobbling, it stood completely still.
(Elizabeth's voice) "I...I did it! Haha, YES!"
The soldier turned to Kairos and nodded.
(Soldier) "Appreciate the help, son. Alright Mcgrath, that's enough for today. You can dismount it."
The center of the Armiger swung open, Elizabeth slowly stepping outside and landing on the ground. Once she dusted off her pants, she bowed to the soldier.
(Elizabeth) "Thank you for the training as always, Engineer Adams!"
(Adams) "Thank your friend here, I only made sure you didn't fall flat on your ass. Now, as you were, I gotta take this thing back to the Cathedral."
Adams waved his hand nonchalantly and went into the cockpit and walked off with the Armiger. Elizabeth smiled at Stefan and did a proper bow, fit for a noble.
(Elizabeth) "Then I am in your debt once again, Stefan!"
Stefan bashfully rubbed the back of his neck as he averted his gaze.
(Stefan) "I-It's nothing, really. I just spent a lot of time training in the Armigers, so I know what the feeling is like when you first take control of it."
(Elizabeth) "Yes, I'm afraid I still haven't gotten used to them...Oh! I apologize for interrupting you during a day off!"
(Stefan) "Don't worry, I'm always glad to help. I was just about to grab lunch with Kairos."
Upon mentioning the name, Elizabeth's smile quickly disappeared, her gaze slowly going to her right as Kairos approached.
(Kairos) "You done, Stefan?"
(Elizabeth) "Ah. I imagine you had some smidge of satisfaction watching me bumble about, Kairos."
(Kairos) "When it involves you, I doubt I can feel anything remotely positive, Elizabeth."
(Stefan) "C-Come on you two...-"
Before Stefan could unsuccessfully attempt to calm them down, both Kairos and Elizabeth's ears were yanked downwards, catching them both off guard.
(Kairos) "OW! OW OW OW!"
(Elizabeth) "AGH?!"
When their eyes looked to the source, it was a small girl pulling both their ears.
(Small Girl) "No fighting. Professor's orders."
She let go of their ears, both of them startled by how surprisingly strong she was. Kairos straightened his glasses as he shook his head.
(Kairos) "Ugh, damn you can pinch hard..."
(Elizabeth) "Helena, dear, I thought I taught you better than to sneak up out of nowhere like that!"
Helena simply shrugged with a deadpan expression. She then turned to Stefan with the same face.
(Helena) "If these two are too busy ripping out each other's throats, I can eat lunch with you."
(Stefan) "Ha...Thanks, I think?"
(Kairos) "Nonsense, we were just going-."
(Stefan) "Elizabeth, would you like to join us?"
Kairos immediately spun around to Stefan, his eye twitching underneath his glasses.
(Elizabeth) "Well...it'd be remiss of me to not pay back your kindness, so very well."
(Stefan) "Just...play nicely you two."
(Kairos/Elizabeth) "I HAVEN'T EVEN DONE ANYTHING!"
The four departed for the mess hall, Kairos and Elizabeth glaring at each other while Helena and Stefan shrugged. When they reached the entrance, they heard a voice call out to them.
(Red Haired Girl) "Oh hey guys, over here!"
Kairos and Helena waved hello and once everyone grabbed their food, they sat by Astrid who was sitting alone at the end of the table, 3 plates of food her only company.
Everyone else had one plate of food, and even then it was barely covered.
(Kairos) "Good goddess, Astrid. Think this is enough?"
(Astrid) munch munch "Whayameab?"
Helena, still having her blank expression, just shook her head.
(Helena) "No talking with your mouth full."
Taking the time to swallow her food, Astrid asked the question again.
(Astrid) gulp! "Ah! What do you mean? We go through a lot of energy throughout the day, you know!"
Stefan looked at his one plate then back to Astrid's.
(Stefan) "...She's got a point. I'm getting more."
He got up from his seat with a newfound fire in his eyes, making everyone but Astrid sigh.
(Astrid) "See, he gets it!"
(Elizabeth) "But what about dinner? You both will spoil your appetites!"
(Astrid) "Nonsense, we got a lot of training to do for the practical exams, we'll work up a big one too!"
(Kairos) "Ah, speaking of which, how are your studies going? I can basically see my spellbook whenever I close my eyes."
Helena completely froze before she could put the fork into her mouth.
(Helena) "...Exam?"
(Astrid) "Yeah, Tomorrow morning we'll be getting judged by our professors for our combat capabilities. You didn't know?"
Helena's shoulders seemed to relax after she processed Astrid's words.
(Helena) "Oh. Nothing to worry about then."
(Elizabeth) "You haven't studied at all, have you?"
(Kairos) "While I don't think anyone should skip out on their coursework, I think Helena will do just fine...The physical portion anyway."
Helena only grunted in response. Stefan sat back down next to Kairos and turned to her.
(Stefan) "Well we don't need to worry about the written portion for a while! Besides, it's the physical part that matters in a practical exam anyway."
(Astrid) "Agreed. The whole writing part of them is pretty pointless."
(Elizabeth) "Hmph, says you! I will have you all attend my study sessions once the physical is over, you have grown far too lax!"
(Kairos) "Hey, what makes you think I can't teach Stefan or Astrid?"
(Elizabeth) "Your intelligence is not being called into question, Kairos. It's your willingness to let them skip out on sessions!"
(Astrid) "As if you don't do the same with Helena-"
(Elizabeth) "-That is NOT because I let her, it's because she keeps hiding!"
Finally, Helena cracked a small smile.
(Helena) "Yup."
(Elizabeth) sigh "I do wish you'd take this more seriously. This exam is not a matter of just grades, but Headmaster Eisner will be a close eye for the exceptional students!"
Stefan, Helena, and Astrid stiffened upon hearing the last part.
(Astrid) "W-Wait, really?!"
(Kairos) "If you had actually been paying attention in class, you'd have known that by now. Those chosen few will be taken into a special class personally led by her."
(Stefan) "Oh crap! We gotta get started soon!"
Stefan and Astrid began scarfing down their food, much to Elizabeth's dismay. Kairos just shook his head while Helena shrugged.
...
(Mercedes) "-...and that about sums up what I've seen out of the student body. There were a few who seemed promising, but we will not know until tomorrow."
Sitri put a finger to her chin as she took everyone's words into consideration.
(Constance) "Do you truly think the students are ready to travel Fodlan? I do not think even we are.."
(Yuri) "Arguably times are more dangerous now than they were back then, what with these Separatists, plus the remnants of Those Who Slither and the Church.”
(Recette) "It's not many that are going out right? We're just picking the best ones out of everyone."
(Mercedes) "Recette dear, we do not want to see even one of our students get hurt. Garreg Mach is safe, but everywhere else..."
(Tear) "Hm. From what I've read in the reports, the attacks in Adrestia and Leicester…."
Sothis looked over to Sitri, crossing her arms.
(Sothis) “I get that we are concerned for the kids, but this IS an officer’s academy. Danger is inevitable.”
Sitri's eyes looked up and spoke inside her own head.
(Sitri) I would still rather not see any of the children under my leadership be put in harm's way.
Sitri turned her attention back to the conversation at hand.
(Mercedes) "...I do not think we'll have a choice of where we get to send our classes. Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude will ask us many tasks, Sitri's group the most dangerous ones, presumably."
(Recette) "Oh, maybe we can hire adventurers to help out? That's what we did in our world."
(Tear) "I do not think we can entrust them with the safety of our students, only our gold. And that can easily be betrayed as well."
(Sitri) "Hm. And Mercedes had a point, we're going to get called into some dangerous missions. It's not like the nations can spare any more soldiers for us than they already have-..."
Sitri's expression lit up, catching everyone's attention. Since Sothis could read her mind, her eyes were already wide.
(Constance) "Lady Sitri?"
(Sitri) "We're short on help and we need people we can trust to teach our students how to protect themselves, right?"
(Yuri) "And...you have someone in mind?”

Kazuma sat on the chair, tapping his fingers against the armrest, sighing loudly. No one was in the house. Megumin was off casting explosions with Yunyun, Darkness was off attending to her noble duties, surprisingly. And as for Aqua…Who the hell knows what she was up to right now?
(Kazuma) “So…god damn…BORED.”
He slumped back on the couch, grumbling to himself. Nothing sounded particularly entertaining or stimulating right now. Kazuma got off and began pacing back and forth trying to think of something. This was the fourth week in a row he had done nothing. At first he loved it. Then it hit him, there was no one at home to even talk to since they were off doing their own thing.
He had gotten exactly what he wanted, peace and quiet. Now, he had too much of it. There was no devil king to defeat, no quests to do, no one to even have lunch with.
(Kazuma) “Ugh...this SUCKS!”
He kicked the table leg in frustration, which only made his foot hurt and made him swear even more. Kazuma shook his head and went into the kitchen. He swung open the pantry, trying to find any bottles of wine-
They were gone. Why the hell were they go-
(Kazuma) “THAT BLUE LITTLE BITCH.”
Aqua took all of it. Literally all of it. Even the ones he thought he hid. He made one last scream of pure unadulterated anger before he fell to the floor, ready to cry. There was literally nothing to do. Nothing at all.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
(Kazuma) “…The hell?”
He sat up, feeling a vibration in his pocket. Raising an eyebrow he reached into it and pulled out a small crest.
(Kazuma) “When was this in my-”
It was a tiny badge of House Isekai’s logo.
(Kazuma) “Man…That’s something I haven’t thought of in a while…Wait a second, we never had anything like this, why the hell is it in my pocket?”
Beep! Beep! Beep!
(Kazuma) “…How do I make it shut up?”
He tried poking it.
Beep! Beep! Be-
He tried poking it multiple times. Except harder.
Beep! Be-
(Kazuma) “…”
He put it on the table, took a deep breath, then slammed it with his fist.
DING DING!
(Kazuma) “Thank go-”
BZZZRRRRRT!
Kazuma was about to scream again before he heard a voice coming from it.
(Girl's voice) "H-Hello? Is this on? Am I speaking to Kazuma?"
(Kazuma) "...Yes, I'm Kazuma."
(Girl's voice) "Ah, it's been such a long time! It's so nice to hear your voice again!"
Kazuma's head racked for faces to connect the voice to. But after narrowing it down and judging by how cheerful and polite the voice was, it could only be-
(Kazuma) "Towa?!"
(Towa's Voice) "Oh good, you can hear me! You remember me right?"
He felt a wave of relief wash over him. Finally, someone to talk to that wasn't a complete idiot.
(Kazuma) "Of course I-...Wait, why did you call me?"
(Towa's Voice) "You're actually the last person I'm calling. So far, I've got Rean and Aigis to respond."
If she was calling everyone then does that mean...?
(Kazuma) "Is this a high school reunion? Cause if it is, I didn't really-"
(Towa's Voice) "W-What? No. I'm afraid it's not as pleasant as that. It's about Fodlan."
Kazuma's casual demeanor suddenly vanished. It had been nearly four years since he and his party left Fodlan. And if they were suddenly calling for him, then that means-
(Kazuma) "What's happening there?"
(Towa's Voice) "I'm not sure. The situation seems to be a bit murky. All we know is that Sitri called us for help. I've been trying to get everyone we can, but...It seems like we'll only have the three of us. We understand if you have your own duties to attend to in your world."
Part of him did NOT want to go back to Fodlan. It wasn't simple like this world, there wasn't any clear cut good or bad guys. And yet...
(Kazuma) "...I'm in."
(Towa's Voice) "R-Really?"
(Kazuma) "If our friends are in danger, say no more. Besides, it was always hard to say no to you, Towa."
(Towa's Voice) "Heh, I'll be sure to remember that Kazuma. Just call me back when you're ready!"
(Kazuma) "Got it."
Kazuma put the crest on the table as he looked around. Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin probably wouldn't be home for another couple days.
(Kazuma) "If that whole time passing bullshit is the same as last time..."
Years in Fodlan meant minutes in his world passed. That wasn't something he could risk. He rushed to his room and put on his adventuring gear, taking his tracksuit as well.
Making sure his sword was on his belt and the cape on his back was adjusted, he found a piece of paper and wrote a note before leaving.
Fodlan is in trouble. House Isekai is getting called. Get your asses in here ASAP. - Kazuma
Leaving it on the table where the crest was, Kazuma sighed deeply. When he wanted something to do, this was NOT what he envisioned getting. He was glad at least some familiar faces would be there to greet him. Kazuma had no idea if he was actually ready for the upcoming fight, but there was one thing he knew. He couldn't run away, as much as he wanted to.
Not after so many friends died protecting that world. Unlike him, they don't get to resurrect and try again. So in the end, it looked like this was up to him, Rean, Towa, and Aigis, apparently.
Well, this isn't the worst combo Sitri could ask for.
(Kazuma) "Towa? This is Kazuma. Let's send in the cavalry."

Byleth is currently enjoying his time off from being the main protagonist of House Isekai in pseudo-retirement on Garreg Island with Megumi.
However, as Halloween approaches, he find his relaxation time rudely interrupted...
[I REALLY WANT TO STAY AT YOUR HOUSE - Rosa Walton]
Byleth sat on the beach chair soaking in the sun and fair weather.
He reached over and grabbed a coconut drink, taking a sip, hearing the ocean waves gently washing up onto shore.
With a deep relaxed sigh, Byleth put the drink back down and looked up to the skies.
His eyebrow raised as his attention turned to the music that was playing.
The radio had come from…what was it called now?
(Sothis) "Night City. V gave it to us, before we left, remember?"
Sothis floated next to him as he gave her a nod of acknowledgement.
(Byleth) "Hm. That future world. Can't say I'm a fan of this kind of music."
(Sothis) "Then why are you listening to it?"
(Byleth) "Was listening to what the kids were up to before the program ended and this song came up."
The last thing he heard was Laura leading her group deeper into the Crystal Tower, and now he had to wait for the next time it aired.
(Byleth) "So, why are you here?"
(Sothis) "For some relaxation time like you. Speaking of, how has vacation been?"
Byleth got up from his chair, taking another sip from his coconut.
(Byleth) "Peaceful. Megu-nee and I have been taking this time to catch up and find out what the new House has been doing."
(Sothis) "Hm. It is a shame the others weren't able to stay as long."
Byleth shrugged.
(Byleth) "I'm sure we'll get our time to hang. But for now we can at least-"
Byleth's phone began vibrating, making the both of them pause as he picked it up, turning off the radio.
[End Song]
(Byleth) "Hello?"
[Isabelle's Voice] "Ah, Byleth! I am terribly sorry to interrupt you at this time, but your presence is required at town hall!"
(Byleth) "Uh, alright. Be right there."
Byleth hung up the phone while turning to Sothis.
(Sothis) "Is an event going on today?"
(Byleth) "It might be to set up Halloween this month. Let's go."
Sothis nodded and followed Byleth to town hall.

Opening the door, they saw Tom Nook, Megumi, and Isabelle speaking in front of the counter.
(Byleth) "Hey."
Megumi and Isabelle gave a friendly smile while Tom Nook stepped to the front.
(Tom Nook) "Byleth! Terribly sorry to call you on such short notice, but it's necessary, yes yes!"
(Isabelle) "It's about the Halloween decorations for this month."
(Byleth) "What about it? Something go wrong?"
(Tom Nook) "On the contrary, fantastic actually! The decoration you set up near the airport is especially great!"
Byleth raised an eyebrow.
(Byleth) "But I didn't set any up yet. Megu-nee?"
Megumi shook her head.
(Megumi) "Er, no. I wasn't planning to until the week before."
Tom Nook blinked twice, processing the information.
(Tom Nook) "Isabelle?"
She started to shake nervously.
(Isabelle) "U-Um…No."
(Tom Nook) "…Huh. Perhaps its in our best interest to take a look together."
The five walked out of town hall and to the airport dock.
In front of it sat a ghastly portal, glowing a deep black and purple ominously.
(Sothis) "I don't think any of our portals has ever looked like that.".
(Isabelle) "O-Oh, maybe it's like a really cool special effect!"
GROOOOOOAAAAAAR!
Everyone jumped back in surprise as the portal began to fluctuate violently.

(Isabelle) "A-A REALLY CONVINCING ONE!"
(Byleth) "We need to get back and-"
Suddenly in Byleth's hands, the Sword of the Creator materialized while Sothis became less transparent.
Isabelle's tools formed onto her back, causing her to panic even more.
Megumi clumsily caught a pistol that dropped out from the sky.
(Megumi) "Hey, isn't this…?!"
Byleth quickly glanced at the pistol before realizing who it belonged to.
(Byleth) "Sara's?"
The roar came out the portal again, blackening the blue skies of Garreg Island as the winds came to a dead halt in the air.
(Byleth) "Tch, we can figure this out later! We need to prepare for battle! Tom, get the townspeople to safety!"
(Tom Nook) "U-Understood!"
He waddled away as fast as his legs could carry him, leaving everyone else to defend.
(Byleth) "Get ready, anything can come through that portal!"
Everyone steeled themselves until out from the portal…
…A chair with a frog face popped out and rattled anticlimactically onto the ground.
(Isabelle) "…A froggy chair?"
Everyone slightly lowered their weapons in confusion.
Until the eyes looked directly at them.
(Megumi) "UH-"

The legs began to mutate into real frog legs before shooting out bones from its green skin.
The legs quickly became grotesque as it grew in size twofold, beginning to tower over the group.
The seat of the chair grew into a gaping mouth with serrated teeth as the smiling frog face startlingly remained the same.
Though the eyes moved and stared directly into theirs.
(Isabelle) "F-FOR THE ISLAND!"
Isabelle rushed forward with her squeaky hammer, hitting the leg and making only an inappropriate squeaking noise.
The frog chair monster grabbed Isabelle and squeezed her, again making an inappropriate squeaking noise before chucking her out of sight.
A green explosion was formed where she disappeared with an unknown voice screaming:
"PLAYER FOUR, DEFEATED!"
Sothis couldn't help but laugh before Byleth elbowed her hard.
(Byleth) "It won't be as funny for us, we're not from here remember?!"
Sothis coughed awkwardly before remembering the rules of world travelling, if they were to get grabbed, they'd explode into meaty chunks instead.
(Sothis) "S-Sorry."
The froggy chair roared into the sky, the three getting into a fighting stance.
Megumi quickly ran into cover while Byleth's sword turned into the whip, Byleth swinging wildly onto its front right leg.
Byleth was able to inflict several major gashes onto the leg, making it stagger.
The froggy chair slammed its injured leg onto the ground, causing the dirt to shoot upwards into a spike.
Byleth jumped out the way, barely avoiding being skewered.
Sothis's arms went wide as magic circles formed in each hands.
Sothis quickly closed them together and formed ice spears behind her, firing them forward at the beast.
Each spear went into the joints of the legs, but it didn't do anything besides make it angrier.
With another roar, the froggy chair leapt startlingly high into the air.
Sothis teleported at the last second before it crashed back onto the ground, looking for its prey.
(Sothis) "Why is this frog so damn durable?!"
(Byleth) "Maybe cause it was a chair before it mutated, how should I know?!"
(Sothis) "Ugh, if I ever see this again at Nooklings, I'm burning it!"
As Byleth and Sothis distracted it, Megumi continued to stay hidden as she gripped the pistol tightly.
She honestly didn't expect to ever fight again, but in hindsight, that was a mistake.
Peeking around the tree, she saw Byleth and Sothis still distracting it.
Taking a deep breath, Megumi moved to another tree that was closer to it.
Though it was far too close for her comfort, one wrong misstep and she'd be crushed.
She steeled herself and pushed herself despite the fear and sprinted to the tree.
Megumi was able to find a foul looking collection of pus and blisters underneath a flat panel where the legs connected, beating like a heart.
Being as far as she was, Megumi was still somehow able to smell it.
Resisting the urge to vomit, she aimed the pistol at it and pulled the trigger.
The recoil scared Megumi as she almost dropped it, still not used to firing a gun.
The shot echoed her location to the beast but not before the bullet hit home.
The spot exploded into a mix of blood and other viscous liquids, seeing their chance, Byleth and Sothis leapt into action.
Sothis had her arms extended once again, but this time forming a shield around all three of them.
Byleth split apart one of the legs with a wide slash, making it fall over onto the ground.
Blocking the blood that shout with Sothis' shield, Byleth got on top of the chair and jammed the sword into the eye.
Megumi repeatedly pulled the trigger as the bullets hit the back of what she presumed was the head.
The froggy chair continued to flail wildly, trying its best to throw Byleth off.
Megumi almost squeezed the trigger until the chair faced her direction, the gun aiming straight at Byleth still hanging on.
It leapt at her as Megumi dove out the way, tumbling onto the ground after being launched from the impact.
Byleth was finally launched off, letting go of the sword as he landed perfectly, clenching his fists.
Sothis quickly clapped her hands together, dropping the shields as her hands sparked with electricity forming.
And an instant, a bolt of lightning struck the chair, sending it howling and shaking the very air around them.
(Byleth) "MEGU-NEE! PISTOL!"
Shaking off the ringing in her ears, she tossed the gun without a second to waste, Byleth catching it and aiming the pistol at the chair's other eye.
(Byleth) "ALLOW ME TO DEMONSTRATE!"
Firing one last bullet, it pierced the remaining eye, making the chair's legs give out underneath, going completely flat and going still.
The dark clouds above them began to fade and one last hair raising scream, the chair begin to collapse into itself, before exploding into a black and purple mist.
Although the threat was finally gone, the ominous portal remained in front of them.
[End Song]
Isabelle came back, clenching her head.
(Isabelle) "Ow...! What just happened?"
Byleth looked at the pistol, then back to Isabelle.
(Byleth) "We don't know, being honest. That wasn't from our world. Megu-nee?"
(Megumi) "We just had zombies, not...froggy chair abominations."
Tom Nook came rushing back with his nephews, all wielding hammers and wood.
(Tom Nook) "Stand aside, everyone! We're going to build a containment fence around this portal!"
(Timmy) "Yes yes, this is not good!"
(Tommy) "...not good!"
Sothis realized she could see what was inside the portal.
It looked like a massive castle was on the other side.
(Sothis) "I think we can go through this portal."
(Megumi) "What?! Are you crazy, if something like that came through, who knows what else could?"
(Byleth) "I agree, we need to prepare a defense. Can we call anyone to help?"
Sothis ignored the two as she floated closer to it.
(Sothis) "Well, sure that froggy chair from hell came out of the portal, but so did Sara's pistol."
Megumi and Byleth looked at each other, then Sara's pistol.
Now that they could take a closer look, it was indeed pulsating a dark purple glow.
(Byleth) "The hell...?"
(Sothis) "What happens if we-"
Sothis poked the portal with her finger, making it shake violently and open wide.
(Sothis) "OH CRAP-"
The portal began sucking the three of them in, Sothis going in first screaming.
Megumi didn't have time to scream before she lost her footing and went torso first into the portal.
(Byleth) "MEGUMI!-"
Although Byleth was already getting pulled in, he reached out his arm after Megumi, vanishing into the portal with the other two.
As soon as the three of them disappeared, the portal calmed down, leaving the others completely bewildered.
(Tom Nook) "...Nephews, we start construction right now."
As Timmy and Tommy got to work, he had Isabelle hold a white sign for him as he wrote something down.
"DO NOT TOUCH"
(Isabelle) "S-Shouldn't we go after them?"
(Tom Nook) "From what they told us of their previous adventures, perhaps this won't be too different? And I'm afraid we're out of our element here..."
(Isabelle) "True...I hope they'll come out alright."
...
Sothis had Megumi, then Byleth land on top of her, knocking the wind out of her stomach.
(Sothis) "G...G-GET...OFF...ME."
Megumi quickly got up, accidentally punching Byleth off.
(Megumi) "O-OH MY GOODNESS, I'M SO SORRY!"
(Byleth) "Agh, damn it! D-Don't worry about it, Megu-nee. And as for YOU-"
Byleth pointed at Sothis prepared to scream, but quickly stopped as his eyes went wide.
(Sothis) "I'm sorry, okay?! I didn't know-...What?"
Sothis and Megumi turned around and froze.
(Megumi) "W...What...?!"
(Byleth) "...Is this something from Fodlan?"
(Sothis) "I think we'd both know the answer to that by now, the hell is this?"
Then everyone heard something scraping across the floor behind them.
Something...plastic.
And when they turned around, it was another Froggy Chair.
Byleth and Sothis got in front of Megumi prepared to protect and fight before realizing no weapons were materializing. In fact, Sara's pistol was nowhere to be found.
(Sothis) "What, do you want another fight?!"
The chair simply stared at them with its vacant blue eyes.
It said nothing.
(Byleth) "...Hello?"
(Froggy Chair)

With House Isekai's arrival in Leicester Territory, Buck leads his squad to investigate the Separatists, with the assistance of Rean and Jean.

Mercedes sat alone in the mess hall as she sipped her coffee, brushing her hair aside.
It was very early in the morning, 7 AM the last time she checked.
She couldn't help but think back to the meeting the staff had nearly a week ago now.

(Sitri) "I believe our best course of action for investigating Those Who Slither and the Separatists is to split our forces. If we were to move as one group, we'd draw far too much attention to ourselves."
(Kazuma) "Uh, I think we do that enough just by the way we dress."
(Aigis) "I still agree with Sitri, however. We can cover more ground, just like our first assignments."
(Towa) "Then what about the students?"
(Sitri) "After careful consideration, I've decided that Kazuma, Aigis, and Towa will be leading them as we investigate."
(Rean) "And me?"
(Sitri) "Your role for now will be accompanying Buck's team. They said they'd be investigating the Separatists, and they could certainly use the help of Valimar."
(Sothis) "You're sure thats a good idea? Duvalie will definitely be pissed about that."
(Sitri) "Given our situation, I'm afraid she will not have the luxury of being picky of who's going. We can expect no official support in the Leicester Alliance."
Sitri crossed her arms, shaking her head.
(Sitri) "Were it so easy, I'd have asked Edelgard for assistance. But given her history, I've no reason to believe she'd give information willingly."
(Mercedes) "Then what about you, Sitri?"
(Sitri) "I will be getting off at Garreg Mach when we make our stop there. I have my own investigations I must attend to there."
(Rean) "You sure your students will be okay without you?"
Sitri nodded.
(Sitri) "As long as they have you four, I'm sure. Recette, Tear, I'll be entrusting the train to you two."
(Recette) "O-Okay, Miss Sitri."
(Tear) "Then hopefully your investigations bear results, ma'am."
…
Rean came through the door, yawning before seeing Mercedes and smiling.
(Rean) "Morning."
(Mercedes) "Good morning! What are you doing up so early?"
(Rean) "Well, I figured it might be best to make sure I can catch my students and say goodbye to them before we all head out."
He walked behind the counter and began making himself a light meal.
(Mercedes) "If I can be honest for a moment, I'm not entirely sure splitting up is a good idea. I thought we had all agreed that we needed to find out how to fight together."
Rean turned around as he fried eggs in a pan, replying to her.
(Rean) "That had me confused at first before realizing what she's doing. You see, the original Class VII did something similar for our field studies. Sara had us split up into small groups and investigate situations or areas relevant to our teachings."
He put the eggs onto a plate and sat down next to Mercedes, to which she made the appropriate space for him.
(Rean) "Kind of what we did when we got our first assignments in Fodlan. But this time I can tell she's confident in her choice as well. Besides, there's only so much we can do as a big group."
(Mercedes) "I suppose that's fair."
Mercedes finished the last of her coffee,, then turned to Rean.
(Mercedes) "Are you not worried, though?"
(Rean) "For my students? I always am. Especially here in Fodlan. It may be similar to home, but it might actually be more dangerous thanks to Those Who Slither and the Church. Not to mention the Separatists."
Rean looked down at his plate, sighing.
(Rean) "I have to admit, I do feel pretty nervous leaving behind my students alone again in order to do some behind the scenes work. I can only pray they somehow don't find a way to get to me like last time..."
He chuckled, finally turning to Mercedes.
(Rean) "But, we have to let them go at some point, right? I bet this is how the original staff felt about us."
Mercedes laughed, her hand covering her mouth as it opened.
(Mercedes) "I think you misunderstood my question, Rean. Everyone knows you worry about your students! Who wouldn't worry about their own group?"
She held up her hand before Rean could respond.
(Mercedes) "I meant worrying about how being with your group is going to go. Duvalie seems to hate you a lot."
(Rean) "...Oh."
He awkwardly cleared his throat before shrugging.
(Rean) "Honestly, she's not that bad of a person when you get to know her. And besides, she must be doing something well if the soldiers haven't kicked her out yet. So, not really."
When he finished, the students of Class VII and Garreg Mach came into the room.
(Kurt) "Instructor Rean, Mercedes."
Both of them nodded at the groups coming in as they put their dishes up.
(Mercedes) "Everyone, please sit down! I'll cook you all breakfast."
(Rean) "I can help out with that."
(Kairos) "Oh, but that's not necessary-"
(Mercedes) "Nonsense, you're going out on a mission today. You're going to need all the strength you can!"
(Ash) "Won't hear me saying no to a free meal. Appreciate it."
(Stefan) "Mind if I help? I can cook decently."
(Musse) "How thoughtful, thank you so much!"
(Altina) "...I would like pancakes, please."
(Elizabeth) "My, that's quite an expensive breakfast."
(Juna) "Huh? That's a totally normal breakfast food though."
(Mercedes) "In Fodlan dear, that's usually a food Noble families get, commoners like us don't tend to see them a lot."
(Kairos) "Yeah, my family couldn't afford them very often, but I do remember liking them."
(Astrid) "Bah, overrated flat bread is what they are. How can you eat something so dry?"
(Rean) "Then it looks like I need to show everyone what our world's pancakes are like. Mercedes, Stefan, care to learn?"
Mercedes smiled slightly but Stefan looked genuinely excited.
(Stefan) "You bet!"
(Mercedes) "How curious, we can make them not dry?"
The students all sat together on a massive table as everyone else began entering the train car, the Knights of Favonius joining them while the Auxiliary members sat at a separate table, as well as the staff.
Kazuma, Aigis, and Towa watched Rean interact with Stefan, Mercedes and a few of the other students as they all exchanged friendly banter while the three cooked breakfast.
(Towa) "If only our breakfasts were so calm."
Aigis laughed as she reminisced with Towa.
(Aigis) "Minako and the other class clowns would cause so much chaos first thing in the morning."
(Towa) "I kind of miss it, in a weird way."
Kazuma scoffed as he yawned obnoxiously.
(Kazuma) "I sure as hell don't miss the chaos. People always blamed it on me too, I'm just glad we can have something not explode."
(Towa) "I suppose that's fair, if you told me that I'd want the mornings back all those years ago, I'd have called you nuts. But I mean, don't you miss them? It seemed hectic to deal with at the time, but...Now we have to worry about this."
Kazuma and Aigis looked at Towa before they both looked back at the students.
(Kazuma) "Hard to believe being under Rhea's control and having people drop out of the blue to join us was the 'good ol days'."
Noticing how their expressions darkened, Kazuma changed the subject.
(Kazuma) "Ya know, they call us teachers, but have we actually taught shit to these kids besides our first week?"
Aigis and Towa thought about it for a moment before realizing he had a point.
(Aigis) "Maybe we should enact some sort of lecture period since we are on the trains for so long."
(Towa) "Oh, I think I have a few good ideas!"
...
Dutch walked back to his table with drinks in hand. Everyone had to shift awkwardly since they were still in their armor, excluding Duvalie who was in a more casual dress.
(Dutch) "Only had OJ in there, though guess we can't complain. Better than drinking some piss poor water here in fantasy land."
Romeo took his cup and shrugged.
(Romeo) "Surprised they know what orange juice even is if they haven't heard of modern pancakes."
(Mickey) "This world doesn't make any kind of logical sense."
(Buck) "At this point gentlemen, we go with the flow."
Buck slid the glass to Duvalie, which she caught perfectly.
Raelyn took the cup and accidentally crushed it when he tightened his grip.
The juice went all over the table, some of the glass getting stuck in his hand.
(Raelyn) "...Ah."
(Duvalie) "Ah, damn it's all over-...Uh, doesn't that hurt?"
(Rean's Voice) "Everything okay over there?"
(Raelyn) "Superficial wounds. I will be fine, thank you."
(Buck) "Think he meant more about the glass, big guy."
(Romeo) "Superficial? Dude. The glass shards are inside your hand."
(Dutch) "Honestly? I'd be more surprised if the glass could tickle ya, Amuto."
Raelyn couldn't help but chuckle.
(Duvalie) "Ugh, here keep still."
Duvalie winced slightly as she took out the glass, noticing how he didn't even flinch.
(Duvalie) "Can we get a healer over here?"
(Jean's voice) "Please, excuse me for a moment."
Jean walked over to the table as she extended her hand.
(Duvalie) "W-Well, I don't think we need THAT much healing power."
(Buck) "Heh, like calling up an ER for a splinter."
(Jean) "I insist. Besides, we're about to go on a mission together, it'd be best to know how much power my Vision needs to put out should you get injured more."
(Duvalie) "W-Wait, you're going on a mission with us, Miss Jean?"
(Raelyn) "Understood."
Raelyn put his massive hand over Jean's.
Both of her hands barely made up half of his one, but she continued nevertheless.
Everyone felt a small gust of wind blow their hair back as their hands glowed a soft green before vanishing.
(Jean) "Not as much as I thought."
Jean took a step back from the table then turned to Duvalie.
(Jean) "And yes. Myself and Rean, were you not told?"
(Duvalie) "Oh, it's no problem at a-...Schwarzer is coming too?"
(Raelyn) "I thought this was common knowledge."
(Mickey) "I knew this too."
(Dutch) "Same here. Gunny, I thought you remembered to tell her when we got the orders?"
Everyone turned to Buck who was tapping his finger on the table.
(Romeo) "Clearly not."
Duvalie turned to the students, who were now looking at them.
(Duvalie) "Did you brats know about this too?!"
Buck elbowed Duvalie.
(Duvalie) "Ow! Ergh, did you know about this too?!"
(Kairos) "Since last week."
(Kurt) "Day 1."
(Jean) "We were among the first to know before Sitri stepped off the train to Garreg Mach."
Duvalie slowly turned to Buck.
(Buck) "Y-Yeah. I might've forgotten."
Duvalie grabbed him by the collar, with strength far more than he anticipated for a woman with her stature.
(Duvalie) "THIS IS PRETTY DAMN IMPORTANT TO JUST HAVE 'FORGOTTEN' ABOUT!"
(Buck) "Listen, we know your hate boner for Rean is like this, which is why I didn't say jack! Little help here boys?"
(Romeo) "You're the sarge, maybe you can talk her down."
(Duvalie) "I WILL SHOVE THIS SHARD UP YOUR ASS, ROMEO!"
(Mickey) "...Jean, thank you for the healing, it's gonna be a pleasure working with you."
(Dutch) "How about we get ya outta here, ma'am?"
(Raelyn) "Duvalie will be at this for a while."
(Jean) "E-Erm, allow me to defuse this situation."
Jean tried to calm Duvalie down while the Knights of Favonius watched with mild amusement.
(Diluc) "Maybe one more of us should go with them to make sure they're gonna be okay."
(Kaeya) "And miss this? I think not."
(Venti) "Kaeya's got a point! This is pretty funny."
(Lisa) "In all seriousness, I doubt she'd let her personal grudge get in the way of performing admirably. She did save our classmates' lives after all."
(Kurt) "That much you can bet on, miss Lisa."
(Amber) "What's with all this sir's and miss's? We're classmates, you should treat us like it!"
(Juna) "Sure but...feels weird when you guys are so much older than us."
(Mercedes) "Oh, it's no problem! I'm thirty two, and Annette treats me like a younger sibling sometimes!"
(Astrid) "Holy- you're thirty two?! You're so much older than you look!"
Astrid's outburst made the Knights and staff laugh, while causing embarrassment for the Garreg Mach students.
(Helena) "You should really have Kairos or Elizabeth teach you some tact."
(Astrid) "Oh shut up! You're the LAST person I want to hear that from!"
(Stefan) "I don't think I've ever heard Helena mention something like that out loud, at least."
(Astrid) "NO ONE ASKED!"
Rean chuckled and looked back to the Auxiliary, sighing.
(Rean) "Maybe I should be worried about our group after all..."
