Excuses
NOT A PR0MPT
******
“You are not welcome here.” The words were punctual. Strict. Demanding. Maybe they would have been intimidating if Hero hadn’t been shaking beneath her covers.
“Trying to cast me away like a spirit? It won’t work.” A glowing smile emerged from the darkness, one so bright that it was nearly blinding, but so direct that it was far from illuminating the room. The smile was all Hero could see.
“You are not welcome here.”
“Did saying it again satisfy your fear?” The smile grew. “I’m no spirit, Hero. Only a shadow in the dark and a smile to haunt your dreams.”
Why? the hero wondered. Why did her brain punish her like this when she only killed one man? Villain killed tens of people every day- for information, for revenge…for fun. Hero only took out a threat.
“Did they haunt you?” she asked, voice so quiet that Villain would not have been able to hear it- even if he were human laying beside Hero in bed. “The people you killed, did they haunt you?”
His response held no callous, no maliciousness. It was calm, matter-of-fact. “No.”
Hero shook her head. Of course not. Villain had no remorse, no nagging part of his brain which told him ‘You’re better than this.’ Villain, she thought, was evil. Maybe he hadn’t always been that way, but he sure as hell was now, even now that he was a dead, opaque shadow of a man.
“What was there to feel guilty about? I had my own means, and they were all expendable.”
Knowing Villain, Hero imagined that slow blink he used to give. Arrogant, careless. She used to admire that; his ability to ignore everyone else, to do things for himself- and himself only. Not many people knew how to take care of themselves, but Villain sure did. It only became too much when Hero realized she was as regular as everyone else to Villain. She was just as replaceable.
***
“You are taking this too far. How many people have to die for you to make a point!”
Villain’s hands were bloody, and they had been for as long as Hero could remember anymore. Red, always red.
“As many as it takes.”
Hero wasn’t even sure what the point was. Villain was- he was a murderer, and the explanations he was giving were starting to become dull. Did he ever have a true purpose?
“Someone does you wrong and you have to destroy everyone for it?” Hero questioned, voice uncontrollably raised. It was a simple and unfortunate situation that Villain was so worked up about, that he killed multiple undeserving people for.
“It was hardly everyone. You’re still alive, aren’t you?” He walked to the sink and Hero shuddered when his red hand touched the handle. She would disinfect it when he was done.
“You might as well have. So what if she got the promotion and you didn’t? Do you really think she had it out for you or anyone else who applied for it?” Hero swallowed. “What if it had been me instead of her?”
“It wasn’t.”
She argued, “But it could have been. Answer me.”
He turned the handle back, stopping the water flow, and not able to find a rag, shook the excess water onto the stovetop. The water hissed against the burner as Hero had had soup there just before Villain arrived.
“What if it had been me instead of her?”
How was it that Hero had been putting up with this for so long? Why did she let any excuse to kill another human become an excuse? There were none for what Villain was doing. He was killing. He was killing for the sake of killing.
“I would do whatever I felt like doing, just like I’ve always done. And if you had a problem with it”- he shrugged, then didn’t finish.
So, he would kill her, if the time arose- if he felt like it, if he felt angered enough, if something happened which wasn’t her fault, if he felt like something was her fault. He would kill Hero.
“I love you.”
“I love you, too.” His voice was neutral, with no trace of harm like there had been last he’d spoken.
“You don’t mean it. You’re saying it because it suits you in this moment- because you know I would leave right this moment if you didn’t say it.” But what did it matter? Hero didn’t mean anything to him anyway if he was willing to kill her for nothing. “I’m your coverup,” she said. “You’re using me to avoid suspicion.”
His response was as chilling as winter’s first breeze. “You think so?” he asked, and it would have seemed so innocent if not for his straight, unchanging face. Hero suddenly felt nervous being in the kitchen- so many sharp knives and scissors and meat mallets and...and he was grabbing a glass cup. Glass was breakable, harmful, weaponizable.
***
That night, it was Hero’s hands covered in blood, and that blood belonged to Villain.
***
"Am I as entertaining to you now as before- asking questions you’ve been waiting for me to ask?” Hero wouldn’t let Villain’s ghost bother her. She would suffer her own guilt in her own time.
“It’s all I’ve looked forward to.”
Hero’s chest tightened. After declaring she wouldn’t be affected, she still was. Villain was a ghost, a paranormal being she used to make fun of at the mention of it. “Then I’ll stop asking.” She pulled her blanket up to her lips. “What will it take to get rid of you?”
“Maybe a kiss goodnight would do,” Villain said. “You can blow it to me if it makes you feel safer, more comfortable.”
Sinister. Villain was sinister, and evil, and every negative adjective in the dictionary.
“You’re powerless right now- a white sheet with eyes and a voice. You’re nothing else.” Hero said this more to herself than Villain. “When I close my eyes, it will be like you were never here. Your voice will be a nightmare that I’ll forget in the morning.”
She did close her eyes, and when Villain persisted that he be her waking nightmare- not only her sleeping one- Hero ignored him. She was already dreaming, she told herself in the confines of her own mind. Villain was practically see-through; he couldn’t hurt her. He would taunt her and make her feel intimidated, but he couldn’t truly do anything. He had no power.
Hero wouldn’t say goodnight, but she would say the guilt she felt was fading. The fact she killed someone no longer mattered.
She had an excuse.
But didn’t Villain have excuses as well?

I Will Never Have You
??? x Beefy!Fem!Reader
“I Will Always Love You” - Alternate Ending
18+ only, read at your own risk
Summary: After the traumatic events of IWALY, you find solace with someone else.
Word count: 4386
AN: I wrote this ages ago, but didn’t have the courage to post it until now. Enjoy? 😬
“So, I heard Kate has a girlfriend now,” Natasha says, coming up behind Yelena who beats furiously at a punching bag.
“Oh, yeah, she does. I didn’t know you wanted any updates about her,” Yelena responds.
“Is it you?”
Yelena stops mid-punch, causing the bag to swing back and crash into her body. She’s nearly knocked off her feet but grabs onto it to steady herself. “What?” She looks at her sister almost offensively. “No.”
“I mean, I wouldn’t be upset if you were,” Natasha deflects.
“It’s not me, Nat.” Yelena slams her fist into the punching bag with so much force Natasha swears she hears her knuckles crack.
“Okay, okay,” Natasha backs off.
“You’ll see for yourself,” Yelena says. “Kate is bringing her to Stark’s party next week.”
“That’s where I first heard about her,” Natasha replies. “Is it true she’s from California?”
“Something like that.” Yelena doesn’t seem entirely comfortable admitting to more details, meaning that she knows more than she’s letting on.
“Well, good for Kate.” Natasha is genuinely happy to hear that Kate has finally found someone for herself. Natasha knew Clint’s protegee had always been intensely interested in you when she was with you, but hopefully now that you two were broken and you had moved away, Kate’s been able to stop pining, just as Natasha’s had to do.
After the poorest choice of judgment she’s ever experienced in her life, which resulted in Natasha assaulting you and damaging your relationship beyond repair, she has never been the same. She knows she doesn’t deserve better and her actions still haunt her despite the dozens of therapy sessions she’s been to. Fury had you reassigned to a different division at SHIELD and after you moved away, you never made contact with her again. Natasha knew it was best for the two of you to keep your space, but part of her wishes she could see you again, talk to you again, even though she knows she would never be able to have you in the way she had before.
“Well, I guess it’ll be nice to meet her then,” Natasha says.
“Yes, for you and me both,” Yelena agrees.
***********************************************************************
After a long week, Natasha reunites with Yelena to attend Stark’s party. She had been surprised her invite hadn’t been canceled, especially since she hadn’t seen any of her co-workers in almost six months since Fury removed her from the team. While she had long since adjusted to her new position, nothing could compare to the chemistry and energy of her old team. Sometimes she misses it so much she considers asking him to move her back, but she knows she wouldn’t be accepted back.
They don’t want to work with a rapist.
Although she hadn’t been convicted for her crime and it was never publicly announced what she did, it seemed that everyone knew that was the reason you and her broke up. She would still stumble across cruel notes slipped into her locker, some threatening to out her and some threatening violent physical harm and occasionally death. There was no point in reporting any of them, since they all spoke the truth. So instead, she kept them all.
The thrumming environment makes her just as uncomfortable as the familiar faces do. No one dares to talk to Natasha longer than a mandatory “long time, no see,” most of them turning instantly to her sister and engaging in conversation with her instead. Natasha feels the loneliness in her chest deepen. It could not be more apparent that no one wants her here, but as much as she wants to leave, being here is punishment enough for her.
Natasha follows Yelena around like a shadow, literally lurking behind her where she thinks no one will notice. They’re picking at a plate of crab rangoons when suddenly Yelena jabs her elbow into Natasha’s side. Natasha almost chokes on her food when Yelena says, “Kate’s here.”
“Where?”
Yelena points to the bar. Kate is standing there in a flowy purple dress that reminds Natasha of what teenagers wore to prom. Towering next to her is a familiar broad-shouldered figure, wearing a polo shirt in the same shade of purple. When both of them turn towards her and Yelena, Natasha almost faints.
It’s you.
How did you become Kate’s new girlfriend? Why did you say yes to her? A million thoughts swirl in Natasha’s head. You had told her a hundred times that you had no interest in Kate and even viewed her as a younger sister. Then how could this have happened? Did Kate slip something into your drink or hit you on the head? Maybe the trauma Natasha had caused you inadvertently gave you memory loss, and now you couldn’t remember that you didn’t even like–
“Sestra, are you okay?” Yelena interrupts as Natasha turns on her angrily.
“You knew,” she snaps. “You knew Kate was dating Y/N.”
“I was the first person she told,” Yelena admits. “And you know how Kate always felt about Y/N…”
“But it wasn’t returned!” Natasha hisses, although you standing next to Kate with your arm around her waist says otherwise. “How could you let this happen?”
“Let this happen?” Yelena’s eyes blaze with fury. “You’re the one who fucked up the relationship! Not me, not anyone else. And you know Kate would never hurt Y/N the way you did.”
Natasha swallows her anger because she knows Yelena is right. Because despite her faults, Kate would never do what she did to you.
Kate leans against you, her hand squeezing your bicep so hard Natasha is sure her nail marks are going to be imprinted into your skin all night. Marking her territory, Natasha scoffs, although how many times did she do the same to you before? She treated you like a piece of meat, like a possession she had ownership of, never like the human being you actually were.
But Kate has never looked happier as she pulls you around in tow, although you look just as uninterested in being here as Natasha feels. However, when you make eye contact with Natasha, you freeze and Kate jerks back because she isn’t strong enough to move you on her own.
Kate looks around frantically until she notices that you’re staring at Natasha, then she tugs you down to her level so she can whisper something in your ear. You shake your head, then nod and Kate kisses your cheek. Natasha wants to dissolve on the spot. Kate readjusts her grip on your arm and leads you over to Natasha and Yelena.
“Hi, Yelena! Hi, Nat,” Kate says first, waving to both of them in turn. “It’s good to see you both again, especially you, Nat. I know it’s been…a while.”
“Yes, hello, Kate.” Natasha notices Yelena move closer to her side, as if her sister is afraid she’ll try strangling Kate.
“And you both already know Y/N, I think…”
You grin as though it pains you, your teeth clenched as though you’re purposely preventing yourself from saying something.
“Anyway, we’ll be around if you want to catch up!” Kate says, and Natasha doesn’t miss the way she implies that if she wants to talk to you, she’ll have to talk to Kate too. Kate steers you off in another direction before Natasha can get a chance to say good-bye. Seeing Kate with you now makes Natasha wonder if this is how she felt every time she saw you with Natasha attached to your arm. It’s a sucky feeling.
Thinking about Kate being with you drives Natasha crazy. Maybe it’s that Kate gets to spend every moment with you. Maybe it’s that Kate gets to call you hers now. Maybe it’s that Kate gets to take you to bed. Natasha remembers when that had been her; she had never been happier in her life. No wonder Kate looked so happy with you. There was just something about you that brightened something in everyone.
And maybe Kate hadn’t had to do anything for you to turn to her. Maybe her carefree, simple nature was what you needed in your life after such a traumatic event. Natasha feels ashamed for thinking that Kate had to pull mind tricks to get you to fall for her. You deserved happiness, and if you found that with Kate, Natasha wouldn’t judge you or her for that.
Because one thing was clear now: there was no chance in the world Natasha was ever going to have you back.
***********************************************************************
“You okay, babe?” Kate says, resting her head on your shoulder. “We can get you a stronger drink if you–” She stops herself, her cheeks reddening as you stare down at the non-alcoholic margarita in your hands. You had given up alcohol since the assault and were surprised that Kate still didn’t remember this, especially after being with you for almost two months now.
“Uh, I’m sorry,” Kate rushes to apologize. “I’ll just get us some water.” Her hand brushes your arm as she turns away, waving down a waiter and turning back to push an icy glass of water in front of you.
“Thanks.” You take a sip, your hand shaking as you bring the glass to your mouth.
“Maybe we should go back to our room upstairs,” Kate suggests.
“I’m fine,” you insist. Kate keeps rubbing your forearm, which you assume is supposed to be a comforting gesture, but she’s holding on too hard, almost like she’s afraid that if she lets go of you you’ll walk right back into Natasha’s arms. But that’s an unlikely possibility, even more unlikely than you getting with Kate in the first place.
You’re still not totally sure how it happened, but within the first few months of you being stationed out in California, Kate had texted you. It had started out completely innocent, with her simply checking in to see how you were adjusting, and you were grateful to have someone to talk to. It escalated one week when you admitted to having a really hard time with life and without being prompted, Kate flew over from New York to be with you. She stayed with you longer than she should have, but when she finally went back, you felt you couldn’t be without her. So, you soon moved back to New York and the rest was history.
But it wasn’t perfect, as no relationship is, and sometimes you’re unsure if you made the right decision to come back to New York exclusively to be with Kate. She was a very nice girl, and since it was no secret how smitten she had been with you the entire time you were Natasha, you’re not surprised at how fast she warmed up to you. You, on the other hand, were facing some very complicated emotions and trauma, and it was difficult to tell if you had genuine feelings for Kate or were just using her as a crutch.
“Did seeing Nat upset you?” Kate asks, taking you out of your thoughts.
“What?” You hadn’t even said a single word to Natasha. Yelena had warned you both that she would be in attendance tonight, so you had prepared an entire speech of how to confront her, but when you finally saw her again, you choked up.
“It’s okay if it did,” Kate says, putting her arm around your shoulder now and pressing herself closer to you. “She really should be in jail for what she did to you–”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” you snap, feeling immediately guilty when you see Kate’s hurt expression. “I…just…maybe later,” you add lamely.
Your therapist told you that opening up to a new relationship after what happened with Natasha would be difficult. Luckily, Kate had the advantage of knowing you before the assault, and what happened, so you didn’t have to fully relive the trauma and explain to her why you had trust issues or why you were now so guarded in bed.
You hadn’t expected to do it so soon, and while Kate would’ve eaten you alive the first chance she got, to her credit, she waited until you were ready. The first time you two had sex, you were certain that Kate was going to pass out when she saw you lying shirtless on her bed, and then she asked you to take her in every position you could ever think of until neither of you could move the next day. But as much passion as there was, the whispered “I love yous” and kisses and cuddles felt meaningless and empty. You didn’t know what it would take to get to that level of emotion, and you wonder at all if you’ll find it with Kate.
“Do you want to go back upstairs?” Kate asks again. “Maybe we can do something to clear your mind a little…”
While Kate’s appetite was worse than a burgeoning teenager, she respected your boundaries and never pushed you into doing something you didn’t want to. You found that your libido was significantly lower than it had been before the assault, but once in a while it spiked, which Kate couldn’t be happier for.
And tonight was one of those moments. Seeing Natasha again was not only traumatic but frustrating, and you needed something to get your mind off her.
You grab Kate’s hand suddenly. “Let’s go,” you say, pulling her out of her seat and scooping her up in your strong arms. She squeaks as her feet leave the floor, wrapping her arms around your neck to steady herself. You ignore the burning eyes on your back as you walk out carrying Kate.
***********************************************************************
You’re utterly impatient waiting for the elevator to take the two of you up to the suites. Every second that passes and you don’t have Kate underneath you makes your skin hot with need. By the time you finally make it to Kate’s room, you throw her onto the bed and take off your shirt and pants. Kate watches you in awe for a moment, like she’s still in disbelief that she gets to have you like this, before struggling with the zipper of her dress behind her neck.
Once you’re undressed, you climb onto the bed with her and flip her over by her hips, ripping the zipper down so roughly you’re sure you’ve ruined the fabric, but neither of you seem to care. Kate quickly sheds the gown and pushes it off onto the floor, turning back over and looping her arms around your neck to pull you down into a heated kiss.
When your teeth knock together, you wonder if you’re being too rough with Kate, but she doesn’t let you pull away. Instead, she wraps her legs around your waist, her ankles locking over your lower back. One of your hands finds her breasts in an effort to steady yourself over her, and she moans when your hand closes around the swell of her flesh.
“Is this okay?” you finally break away from her lips to ask.
“Yes, yes,” Kate gasps. Her hands trace over your back muscles, before finally digging into your shoulder blades to encourage you to arch into her. She tucks her head against your chest and you feel her lips scraping against your collarbone, bruising your skin and marking her claim on you.
“Oh God, Kate,” you say, your center pulsing with need. You feel her hands come around your sides, brushing across your tensed abs.
“I want to ride you,” Kate demands, but quickly changes her tone of voice when she sees you glaring down at her. “I mean, can I…Can I ride you, baby?”
It’s not a power play thing, you just don’t like Kate being forceful with her requests because it makes you feel like you don’t have a choice. Although you could say “no” at any point and Kate would stop, part of you is still subconsciously fearful that if you do, Kate won’t respect you and take advantage of you like Natasha did. You stopped drinking alcohol to make sure you were always in control of all your faculties, and your time with Kate so far had proved that she was a mindful and respectful partner, but the fear was still there. You wondered if it would ever truly go away or if you would be stuck battling it every single time you were in bed with someone.
“Hop on, baby,” you tell Kate, switching positions with her and relaxing with your back flat on the bed. Kate throws one leg over your waist, placing her hands on your chest and slowly lowering herself onto your chiseled stomach. Her core is hot and wet and it excites you to see how desperate she is for you.
“You feel so good,” Kate pants, slowly rocking back and forth. You take hold of her hips to guide her, flexing your abs until you feel like you can’t even take a breath. Kate moans as she bumps across the defined muscles of your stomach.
“Look at me, Kate,” you grunt as her nails curve into the skin of your chest. You want to see the light in her eyes when she comes undone, hear the moans she releases because she’s used your perfect body to get off.
Kate loses some of her rhythm as she forces herself to lift her head. Her blue eyes, swirling with lust and desire, lock onto yours, and you buck your hips suddenly, trying to angle your body to stimulate her into an orgasm. Kate grinds down on you, like she’s trying to stay seated on a bucking bull, but the movement is too much for her and she gushes across your stomach. You keep your firm grip on her waist so she doesn’t fall off, lowering your hips back onto the bed as she falls on top of you, panting hard.
You stroke the back of her head until she calms down, and then Kate sits up with a mischievous look in her eye.
“Can I clean you up?” she asks.
You smirk at her. “Sure, baby. Make sure you get every drop.”
Almost as if your words alone were enough to reinvigorate her, Kate crawls down your body and you spread your legs apart to let her lie between them. She puts a hand on each of your muscular thighs to balance herself and lower her head to lap at the stickiness coating your abs. You moan as her tongue slides across your muscles, collecting up every bit of the mess she made. Your skin shines not with her cum anymore but her saliva and the heat in your stomach rages hotter as you watch her, her head dipping lower and lower until suddenly her mouth finds the heat between your legs and your back arches with a moan.
“Fuck, Kate,” you gasp, moving your hands to the blankets instead so you don’t accidentally pull her hair out. Her tongue pushes into you with some hesitance at first, but as soon as she tastes you, she dives in deeper for more. Her head bobs up and down as she sets a pace that’s a little too quick for your liking and you try to roll your hips to indicate a better rhythm, but Kate is too drunk on your taste, too excited to be in this position, to pay you much attention. And as hot as her mouth is, as flexible as her tongue is, it’s not enough to get you off.
Kate may not be as experienced as your past partners, but sometimes you feel like she doesn’t even want or care to know what you actually like and what you don’t. While she’s never done anything to make you feel outright uncomfortable, you aren’t always satisfied with her efforts either–although she does try her best, that much is certain.
Your excitement begins to dwindle as the minutes tick by and you’re no closer to orgasm than when Kate was still on top of you. You’re surprised she hasn’t gotten a jaw cramp yet, and you don’t want her to, so you move your hand onto her head and push her back.
“Okay, okay, that’s enough,” you say, pretending to pant like you’re coming down from an amazing high. Kate sits back on her heels, wiping her lips with a grin. You know you’re just as guilty for not being honest with her, but for some reason, you just don’t have it in you to tell her the truth. This poor girl had waited years to be with you and probably thought she never had a chance in the world. You could give her this moment. There might not be more of them, anyway.
Kate crawls up to you to kiss you sloppily and you shy away, reaching over to the nightstand and twisting your elbow awkwardly to open the top drawer. Your fingers close around the rubber toy you’re looking for and you pull it out with a flourish, watching the way Kate’s eyes darken when she sees what you’re holding.
“Think you can handle one more?” you ask.
“Anything for you, baby.” She kisses you again and gets off of you so you can sit up and pull the straps over your legs, positioning the toy between them.
“Lie down,” you tell Kate, maneuvering yourself on top of her again. You can see the glistening wetness of her center and you know you won’t need any more lube, despite how large the toy is. Even in the beginning, you insisted on using a smaller size but Kate didn’t want that, saying that you looked the best with a big one between your legs. You didn’t argue with her on that and fucked her into the mattress until you were so exhausted you fell asleep with the strap still in her.
You grab onto each of Kate’s ankles and hoist her legs up, holding them in a wide V and tilting her butt up just a few inches off the bed. Scooting forward until the tip of your cock presses against her entrance, you look down at her and ask if she’s ready.
“Fuck me until I can’t walk,” Kate says, and she knows you’ll keep your side of the deal.
You thrust your hips forward, gliding into her almost entirely in one smooth motion, and Kate throws her head back and moans shamelessly. You use your grip on her ankles to pull her forward as your hips move, increasing the power of your thrusts and the entire bed shakes with your strength. Kate bounces along the mattress, trying to reach for you, desperate for something solid to hold onto while you fuck her brains out.
***********************************************************************
“I think I saw them head out earlier,” Natasha says, trying to act like she hadn’t had her eyes on you the whole time.
“So soon?” Yelena says. “Well, I think the only reason they showed up was to see you anyway–”
“I barely spoke to either of them.”
Yelena shrugs. “Did you expect them to hang around? After what you did?”
Sometimes, Natasha wonders whose side her sister is on. Then she remembers how Yelena had been ready to (justifiably) beat her to a pulp after she found out what Natasha had done.
“Do you want to go now?” Yelena asks, although she senses that Natasha wanted to leave hours ago.
“Yeah, I think I’m done here.”
“Okay.”
Natasha plans on spending the night in her sister’s room, since it’s too far of a drive back to her place in Rochester. She goes up the elevator with Yelena, feeling a wave of sadness fill her as she remembered the thousands of times she had gone up to the suites with you, with her teammates. Those days were long gone.
“Do you remember where my room is?” Yelena asks. “I have to grab something from the kitchen, so you can meet me there.”
“Sure.” But Natasha does not have the faintest memory of where Yelena’s suite is. She only remembers where yours and hers was. She wonders who’s moved in now and if they know the history of that room. It would probably be better if they didn’t.
She wanders down the dark hallway, nervous to realize that all the doors look the same. In a moment of panicked judgment, she reaches for a random door handle and pushes it open.
Just her luck, Natasha doesn’t stumble into Yelena’s empty room. It’s Kate’s.
Kate is lying naked on her bed with you equally naked and between her legs, holding them open at such a wide angle that even Natasha is impressed by her flexibility. Your abs flex as you jog your hips forward, slapping your thighs against Kate’s loudly. Natasha has a fleeting thought of being in Kate’s position before, but it is quickly replaced by shame and embarrassment.
“Uh, shit…” Natasha says, blush creeping up to the tips of her ears. She doesn’t know if either of you even notice her and quickly backs out, her heart pounding. She would never have you like that again, and it hurts her like a knife in her chest to know that she lost you to Kate.
Kate had seen Natasha peek into her room and never thought she would be so happy to be caught in a position like this. When Natasha leaves, Kate begs you to pound into her harder and faster, until you fear you’ll actually rip her in half. You don’t, but you do break the bedframe when it slams into the wall one too many times. Tony will not be happy to hear he has to order another bed for Kate.
Kate practically screams when she comes undone, tearing at the sheets and pillows with clawed hands. You finally drop her legs, pulling your cock out and falling on top of her, your body slick with sweat as you lay flat against her. Kate rolls you to the side as you wrap your arms around her and she tangles her legs with yours, resting her head on your chest and telling you to hold her tighter.
No other words are said, but the silence seems to communicate that both of you know this is a dream reaching its end.

omg since leaks are going around about huh yunjin possibly being on jhope's special album are the rumors true and if so what was the behind for this collaboration?
like how do they both feel about this exchange because personally im SUPER stoked
J-Hope x Yunjin Collaboration?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⚠️DISCLAIMER! TAROT CARDS ARE NOT 100% ACCURATE! TAKE EVERYTHING WITH A GRAIN OF SALT! IF MY INTERPRETATIONS ARE INCORRECT FEEL FREE TO CORRECT ME!⚠️
⚠️ this reading was so difficult to read on… the energies were really blocked and guarded. yunjin did not want to respond and I literally had to ask soooo many times for her thoughts… hopefully the song will be loved because all these cards and energies are something else…🤷🏽‍♀️⚠️
Will they collab : The Emperor
Yes
Yunjins thoughts : The Hierophant rx, World, 5oC, 10oC rx, 2oS rx & AoC rx
Well…Yunjin firstly Yunjin is happy about the collaboration. She believes it will boost her career and popularity internationally. She thinks the sound feels brand new and fresh, and is a completely different sound that she’s not used to. She believes that new horizons are coming soon but she could also be quite scared and worried about the publics opininon on the song.
She believes this song would lead to fan wars and disharmony amongst the fandoms, and just overall disapprovement from fans. Yunjin will try to block out the negativity and probably avoid her phone, just to avoid seeing all the comments. Yunjin will feel really emotionally overwhelmed and really upset to be honest.
J-Hopes thoughts : 7oP, KNoS rx, QoP, AoS rx, 9oW rx
Well J-Hope on the other hand will feel quite confident about this. He thinks that the song is really good and that him and yunjins hard work really paid off. J-Hope could also think that the song will lead to spiteful and unnecessary arguments on social media, and just everything will be a mess to be honest.
Apart from this for now, he really did want Yunjin to be in the song, he thinks she’s really talented who’s really career oriented and is also well established! (he seems to be a fan of LSFM to be honest lol)
Once again, J-Hope thinks there will be a ton of judgements towards the song. He could probably feel really powerless to be honest, and if the reaction to the songs ends up turning out negatively, I don’t think there will be collabs anymore…☹️
Publics thoughts : AoW, PoP, 8oC rx, 9oW rx, 5oS, 8oS and Wheel of Fortune rx
Well… on the positive note. People like you anon, are all looking forward to fhe collab and are literally just over the moon lol! Everyone feels really confident about this! The public believes that the song will be a success and a good listen.
But unfortunately… the public who are fans of the two idols will not share their honest opinions on the song and not share their thoughts. They’ll think the song is not good enough?! They could thinks it’s a flop or the disliked song on the album?
On the other hand… people who really like the song will have to be HIGHLY defensive, they will be fighting tooth and nail to prove to people that the song is actually good.
As per usual! There will be fan wars for DAYSSS! People attacking each other for hours, bullying, disagreements, arguments. And to be honest, this all stems from jealousy and selfishness.
I believe Yunjin and J-Hope and probably the whole company and groups are the 8oS, they will feel really insecure. A lot of worry, anxiety and just feeling trapped overall.
They could be terrified of having to speak up about because they are aware of the mess it could create.
Unfortunately the WoF rx shows to prove that this will be quite unlucky toward the general public and artists themselves. This whole discourse will probably never be forgotten to be honest, because the fan wars that are going to happen…😬
And I really hope that won’t happen because yea… it’s not a good thing for one (Yunjin) to experience for collaborating with one of the idols who inspired her to be who she is today.

allyyy youre not the only one who cares about you know where the city is 😭 i love it so much and im so excited to meet that verse's george and see his pissing contest with taylor!
and omg both a&e and ducklings soon 😱 and right after that on a friday update too (idk how to explain, but friday has such a fresh vibe to me for omegaverse and im loving the direction so far)! idk if its too weird for me to say this on anon ignore me if so, but take your time and remember to get rest too <3
also istg one of these days im gonna have to pull up top gun or mens hockey because i just know im missing out with your other fics. the fandon stereotype about mens hockey writers is so true ahahaha
Oh my gosh thank you so much!! This ask just made me tear up it's so sweet!
I am 100% the target audience for You Know Where The City Is and as much as I love to write self indulgent fic (which basically all of mine is) I was worried that no one else cared and I know I have a lot of other projects people actually do like so just, hearing that you are also enjoying You Know Where the City Is, despite all of their IRL controversy makes me so happy! I can't wait for the Fictional!George and Fictional!Taylor pissing contest, it's still a few chapters out but the little bits I've written and outlined have made me so happy. Poor Fictional!Matty has no idea that they are the metaphorical toy they are fighting over either 🤣
Yes! The A&E fic update is all ready and saved in my drafts on AO3 to be published tomorrow morning before I leave for work! The chapter is a little different and I hope you like it! You will have to let me know!
Make Way for Ducklings will hopefully be coming in hot by the end of the week! Getting that chapter finished is my next priority!
ALSO I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying my take on the omegaverse! I'm a nerd and it's actually so fascinating to me how different authors have such different takes on it? I know I've mentioned it before, but one of my absolutely all time favorite books is The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin and her approach to gender has really influenced my writing (both in On a Friday and in Make Way For Ducklings) ... also not to be TMI but I also have horses... I just have a gelding (castrated male horse) now but I used to also have a very slutty little mare that made her heat cycle everyones problem and I would constantly be yelling at her to leave her brother alone 😬
I'm very proud of my Top Gun work - I'm taking a little break from updating most of those fics because I was putting too much pressure on myself with them because of how many hits they were getting and making myself anxious about it which was not fun and not the vibe- BUT I am extremely proud of them! My recent Hockey RPF (Hurricane in particular) I am proud of as well and am still actively working on! The rest... Baby Ally was unmedicated and very unhinged, proceed with caution and read at your own risk - I like to think I have become a much better writer since a lot of that was published haha
Thank you so much for this ask! I apologize for writing an novel in response - I got a little excited! Thank you for reading as well! I hope you enjoy the A&E update tomorrow and am excited to hear what you think!
❤️Ally

Hello!!
Could it be one where we see Kate demonstrate some talent that she has hidden from everyone and is accidentally discovered by Darcy?
A/N: Thank you so, so much for this request!!! 😊💕
Gosh, I'm sorry I've been gone from this fandom for so long! I've been seriously lacking in inspiration for anything lately 😅 No matter how hard I try, nothing in terms of writing has been working for me too well regardless of the fandom😬
Idk, hopefully I haven't lost my touch! This felt a little weird when I was writing it, but it was kind of lighthearted and fun, so hopefully it worked well! And maybe it could classify as Halloween-ish? Like they are dressing up, so... 🤷♀️
Btw, if I do much else anytime soon in the way of writing for this fandom right now, it’ll probably be slow, so y’all just be warned, lol 😅
I hope y'all enjoy! 😊💕
Word Count: 2866
When Darcy had tracked Kate via FRIDAY’s emergency tracking system for the Avengers that triangulated their cell phone coordinates, Darcy herself breaking a ton of rules in utilizing it without true emergency, she had truly not expected to follow Kate and find her doing this of all things.
Throughout last week, Kate had not really had much time to hang out, and Darcy had been busy as well. The both of them had been really wanting to spend time with one another, but their schedules had just not lined up at all.
However, this was all fine until Darcy managed to get some time this week for several days. The first time was in the early afternoon, and she had caught Kate heading out of the compound. She had been confused, but when Kate assured her that she was very busy and had to go to something important, she had been somewhat willing to let it go.
But when Kate had not been able to really tell her what those important things that she had to do actually were, Darcy had quickly grown suspicious. The next day, Kate had left at about the same time, and her excuse had been just as flimsy and unstructured. After the third day of Kate’s mysterious disappearances at the same time of day, Darcy was ready to get to the bottom of things.
Which was how she ended up here in Central Park, currently looking upon the most horrifically terrifying battle that she had ever witnessed.
She had managed to get through the fray as best as she could, stepping over bodies. And when she had finally managed to find Kate and get near enough to her, she called out loudly.
  “Kate?!”
Kate froze in the midst of stabbing someone, the person falling over with a loud cry, and she gaped at Darcy for a solid minute.
“Darcy?!” Kate yelped, and Darcy looked around the battlefield slowly, taking it all in. Kate sputtered for just a moment before finally speaking up.
“This isn’t what it looks like!” Kate cried out desperately, her eyes ridiculously wide. Darcy just furrowed her brow, narrowing her eyes a little as she looked at the insanity taking place around them.
“You broke character!!!” the guy she had freshly killed accused loudly, and Kate jumped out of her skin, looking down at the person and shouting a quick apology.
“Sorry!!!” Kate yelped, and Darcy looked at her uncertainly as Kate cleared her throat and straightened a bit in an attempt to seemingly recollect her sense of character. She then hardened her gaze and pointed the absurd foam sword at Darcy as if it were actually truly threatening. It was well-made, but it was still obvious foam given the slightly blunt end on it.
“This, peasant, is not what it appears!” Kate declared boldly, and Darcy just raised an eyebrow.
“So you’re not out here LARPing like all the rest of these fruitcakes?” Darcy asked, and Kate paused for a moment before laughing somewhat nervously.
“Well… It might kind of be what it looks like,” Kate admitted. However, just as she uttered her statement, one of the crazies came up behind her with a foam axe. Before Darcy could even make a move to point to them or say anything, Kate turned quickly and stabbed them in the side under their arm. They cried out dramatically and fell to the ground.
Darcy huffed in surprise. Kate was honestly amazingly good at this, and Darcy had not even been there long enough to see her fully in action.
  “Wow…”
“Yeah… Probably an inefficient use of my combat skills, but it’s fun, so why not?” Kate somewhat breathlessly told her, and Darcy nodded slowly, not sure how to react but finding it quite entertaining that Kate was this into it. She herself did not want any part of it and was honestly creeped out by the other people on some level, but she was happy that Kate was happy.
“Hey! No interrupting unless you’re going to join!” one of the people nearby declared, hurrying over to Darcy where she was standing on the sidelines. Kate looked at the woman in surprise, and Darcy raised her hands.
  “No worries! I was just—”
“About to sign in!” Kate quickly interrupted her, and Darcy looked at her as if she had lost her mind. If Kate seriously thought that Darcy was about to participate in all of this insanity, then she definitely had lost her mind.
The woman immediately raised her eyebrows, and she nodded happily.
“Alright, then. Come on this way,” she beckoned, starting to walk off to the nearby tent.
Darcy narrowed her eyes before looking at Kate quickly.
  “Look, hear me out—"
“Hear you out?! Have you lost your mind?! I’m a scientist, not a LARPer!!!” Darcy cried, whisper-yelling, and Kate shook her head as she tried to explain herself.
“No, no, no, look, it could be fun! We could spend time together like we’ve been trying to do this whole week!” Kate told her, and Darcy furrowed her brow.
“Look, I’ve been trying to get time to have coffee and talk or watch a movie together, but I did not sign up to come to a place where a bunch of middle-aged people that are way too old to be doing this and should be getting jobs are out here slapping each other with glorified pool noodles!” Darcy cried, somewhat running out of breath in the midst of her rant.
Kate shook her head, stepping just a little closer as she lowered her voice just enough so that she was not necessarily speaking at a volume where very many people could overhear.
“These people have jobs. Most are policemen and firemen, and we’ve even got veterans here coming in on the fun. It’s just a fun hobby,” Kate explained, and as they stood there for a moment, Kate suddenly squinted a little, studying Darcy carefully, and Darcy uncomfortably looked back at her, worrying about what Kate was thinking.
“You’re scared,” Kate suddenly declared, and Darcy’s eyes widened, Kate seeing right through her.
It was unfortunately true. Even though this was a ridiculous fest of insanity, something in her just was terrified of the thought of insane cosplayers running at her. While their weapons could not hurt her, she definitely did not want to be crushed by them or something.
Plus, who really knew how far they would take their cosplaying? She had even seen something on her way there that looked a lot like an authentic guillotine replica that they must have put together. The last thing she wanted to do was become one of the roleplay execute-ees.
But nevertheless, she knew how ridiculous it would likely sound out loud, especially to Kate who was so obviously immersed in this insanity, and she did not want to look stupid or weird.
“No! No, I’m not! I’ve faced portals and an insane dark elf man and never flinched,” Darcy proudly proclaimed, and Kae laughed incredulously with a wide grin.
“You’re totally scared,” Kate pointed out, far too pleased with herself for her discovery.
  “I’m totally not scared! I’m—”
Kate suddenly moved forward, pushing her shoulder as she shoved her out of the way and sliced with her foam sword across a man’s throat. He fell to the ground with a loud cry of dramatized anguish, and he just laid there.
Darcy’s eyes were wide, and Kate looked back at her with a grin.
“I’ve got to get back to the battle. But seriously… I’m sorry I didn’t tell you the truth about this, and that I hid it from you. It’s a little embarrassing to tell people because they don’t usually understand,” Kate admitted, and Darcy felt her chest squeeze a little for the girl.
“And you don’t have to sign up but… at least consider it maybe? It really is fun,” Kate told her with a lopsided grin and that sweet glint in her eyes that she had when she wanted something but was not going to ask for it in favor of making the other person comfortable.
As Kate turned to go and reengage in battle, Darcy groaned deeply, rolling her eyes. She looked down at the guy lying falsely dead at her feet and she sighed tiredly.
“Wanna trade spots?” she questioned. At his lack of a response, she just huffed and shook her head, walking over to the tent that the woman disappeared in.
The things that she would do for her friends…
    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Darcy narrowed her eyes as she headed out into the field. She was now clad in ridiculous armor and she had one of those ridiculous swords that looked like a far less cool version of Kate’s. It was more like something that one would find in the clearance section of Walmart.
She groaned deeply, and she tried her best to spot Kate. She was not about to get killed. If she was going to play this game, she was going to make sure that she won. And Kate was good enough at it to win.
“Good day, my fair friend! Art thou ready for battle?!” a familiar voice questioned suddenly from behind Darcy. Darcy turned toward it quickly, sucking in a swift breath as the nervousness crept upon her and the thought of the guillotine came to the forefront of her mind all over again.
To her utter relief, it was just Kate, and Darcy could not help but let out a deep breath of relief. She finally nodded tiredly, pinching the bridge of her nose and adjusting her glasses before responding to her question.
“Sure,” Darcy agreed with a shrug, and Kate stepped closer, almost bouncing in place in the midst of her excitement.
“Thank you for doing this. I really am excited to do this with you,” Kate confessed, and Darcy’s gaze softened as she shrugged with a small smile.
“It’s okay. I know you’d do the same,” Darcy told her, and Kate smiled as she straightened, pointing her sword toward the air as she stood next to Darcy.
“Come! Let us gloriously bathe in the blood of our enemies!!” Kate called loudly, and Darcy could not help but wince a little at both Kate’s volume and the insanity of the statement.
These people really did take this stuff seriously.
Kate took off, running in the midst of the battle as she effortlessly took on two or three sword-wielding looneys. Darcy hurried after her, pausing a small distance behind her as she looked around uncertainly. She did not have a clue what to do.
Kate quickly eliminated them, using some fancy sword moves as she efficiently took care of the group. She then charged forward, knocking off a few more of them with her unexpectedly swift moves.
She then found someone that was far better with weapons that Kate’s previous foes and she went at it, fighting the person valiantly. Darcy could not help but raise her eyebrows, utterly shocked at how fast that Kate was with her sword. She was seriously talented, and training with Clint must have taught her quite a lot. Quite a few of the moves she was pulling had nothing to do with what little that Darcy knew about fencing.
Finally, Kate fake-killed the guy, and she turned toward Darcy. However, as she did and in the midst of Darcy being completely shocked at Kate’s sword fighting skills, Kate’s eyes went wide, and she pointed behind Darcy.
Darcy immediately realized what Kate was trying to tell her.
Darcy spun around with the sword clutched in her hand, unintentionally whacking someone in the head with it in the midst of her haste to turn around and see what was behind her. He cried out and fell to the ground, and Darcy’s eyes were ridiculously wide as she looked down at the person she had successfully taken down.
She was quickly shaken as Kate ran up next to her and wrapped her arm around her, squeezing her in a joyful side-hug. She laughed happily, and Kate grinned at Darcy. Darcy’s eyes were wide and she looked at Kate uncertainly. However, Kate’s energy quickly rubbed off, and she could not help but laugh a little with her.
“Oh, my gosh, you really kicked his butt!” Kate joyfully cried, and Darcy grinned incredulously.
  “I guess I did.”
“Carry on, my fellow soldier! Let us vanquish more foes!” Kate happily yelled, and she ran off again. Darcy looked down at the guy she had taken out, and she chuckled softly before taking off after Kate.
Maybe this was not quite as bad as she thought.
    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………
At some point, only the most experienced LARPers were left behind, and Darcy was only alive as a result of Kate saving her on multiple occasions.
Currently, they were hiding and trying to strategize. They were lying down on the ground in the dirt surrounded by the bushes, and they were whispering amongst themselves.
“Okay, so I think there’s a group of them on our left flank and to the front of us. We’re going to have to decide which ones to take care of, and figure out a plan,” Kate softly explained, and Darcy shrugged.
“I don’t know. Why don’t we pick them off one by one? Like one of us go and distract them and the other of us stab them from behind?” Darcy suggested, and Kate grinned, looking at Darcy happily.
“I think you were made for this,” Kate complimented, and Darcy rolled her eyes, knowing that Kate had likely already come to the conclusion on her own. She scoffed in reply to her.
“And I think you’re patronizing me,” Darcy replied, and Kate shook her head quickly, quick to deny it as she tried to keep her voice quiet as she could.
“No! I genuinely think you’re good at this. And honestly, I’m really glad you decided to join in. It’s been really fun getting to do this with you,” Kate confessed and Darcy shrugged, smiling gently.
“It’s been nice getting to see you have so much fun. You’re actually extremely talented with a sword. And not like in the usual fencing kind of way. Like in the super awesome hero kind of way,” Darcy complimented. Immediately, just as Darcy had expected, Kate puffed up ridiculously with the praise. Darcy could not help but feel her heart warm at the sight of Kate’s happiness.
“Nah, I’m not that good… I mean… I’ve learned a few things, but I’m not that good,” Kate self-deprecatingly declared, and Darcy shook her head.
“Don’t sell yourself short. You’re super cool,” Darcy assured her, and Kate took in a breath to speak and reply to her.
But just as she did, people suddenly jumped through the bushes and tried to stab them. The both of them just barely managed to dodge, and they stood up, starting to try to get away as they tripped over the bushes together.
They almost fell, but just as they thought that they had managed to get out the people’s sword range, someone threw an axe and hit Darcy in the back with the foam bouncing off her back. One of them managed to jump out far enough to stab Kate in the back with a sword.
Kate paused and let out a horridly agonized sound. Darcy just stared at her as if she had completely lost her mind, and Kate fell to her knees dramatically.
“I think I see a light… Mother? Dost thou beckon me?” Kate questioned aloud before hacking aloud in a dramatic cough. Darcy just stared, honestly shocked at the theatrics as she watched her.
“The world… It is fading,” Kate declared, straining as she spoke. She clutched at her throat.
“Goodbye, cruel world,” Kate cried before falling the last bit of the way to the ground, splaying out. Darcy just looked down at her, completely unimpressed.
However, as she looked back at the people, she realized they were staring at her expectantly. Darcy let out a deep sigh, rolling her eyes at the ridiculousness of it all.
“Oh, I am slain. Dead for a ducat, dead,” Darcy complained aloud before very slowly and carefully lowering herself to the ground. She slowly laid down on her back, trying to position her beanie so that it covered some of the back of her hair. She laid there with her hand on her stomach and remained still.
After watching her for a moment, they eventually left to go and eliminate the other groups, and as soon as they were gone, Kate opened her eyes and looked at Darcy.
They were quiet for just a moment before laughing heartily.
“A ducat? What was that?” Kate asked in shock.
“I was quoting Hamlet,” Darcy shot back in defense, unable to keep from laughing in spite of herself. Kate chuckled along with her, shaking her head.
“You’re breaking character!” one of the dead people yelled suddenly, and they both went silent. They slowly looked at each other, and as soon as they made eye contact, they burst into laughter again.
The dead person just groaned in irritation.

Am I the only one who thinks everyone is overreacting a little bit to the quali, even the drivers themselves? The mood was so down yesterday everywhere you look (mostly on twitter as always, but still), so much negative energy over a quali, I can’t deal 😭 and there’s still two days of racing left lmfao
I don’t know anon. It was a bit messy than usual though. I think having sprint weekend at Qatar was a stupid decision bc they had one practice session and that itself was messy and the way the track conditions were changing the data they were collecting wasn’t really helpful. And the track limits, the wind, the grip was chaotic to say the least. Everyone was going through something.
Twitter, X or whatever it’s called is always overreacting, true. So normally i wouldn’t take the reactions over there as anything. But yesterday was just something else. And the drivers that I think were going through it were Lando, Lance and probably Checo.
Lando, it was very sad. Like his radio message, his post quali interview and him sitting there waiting to be told his lap time got deleted.
Lance. He was just way too messy. Usually he’s very kind of chill guy but yesterday 😬😬 the whole one worded interview, pushing his trainer. Yeah. Not really a good look. I get being upset and he had a good reason to but I don’t think the way he handled it was the way to go. Especially in front of the cameras and everyone already questioning his seat.
Checo. It’s Checo. He’s just, yeah. Track limits played its part but 🫤 in the fastest car in the grid and the way his qualis are. It’s embarrassing and not really helping him keep his seat. Prayers for him.
And as for me I was just being dramatic yesterday (mostly) because charles didn’t have exactly a good quali as I was expecting for a sprint weekend. I was really hoping for a chaist holding, hand holding winking thing he does with Max yesterday, hopefully today or tomorrow I will get that. I’m still keeping the hope on for that. I’m nothing if not delusional. And being delulu is the solulu.
And now I am hearing there’s something going on with Pirelli and FIA, something about tyres and track limits. Soooo. Sprint day is already looking to be a mess. Can’t wait to see how that unfolds. I just want this weekend to be done and dusted and for Max to get his third title (which could possibly be the only good thing out of this weekend)

CROOKED KINGDOM
I probably should have done this in multiple posts, but here are my random thoughts while reading Crooked Kingdom.
.
.
.
Alright starting off with a bang, I like it. Poor Ratvenko :( I hope he doesn't get drugged. And what was the winged person? Was it a Grisha or something else? Who is it working for? Van Eck?
Wylan, I really don't think Kaz was joking in any way about what he said would happen to the little girl, her family, or the dogs. When it comes to saving Inej I don't think there's anything he wouldn't do to make sure he gets her back. Which is super sweet and scary.
Look at Inej trying to escape and of course it was a set up.
Shit! For a second I thought she was gonna lose a leg 😬😳
Of course Jesper can't meet his father without a gun fight breaking out. 😅😅😅
Jesper: Look at you, asking all the right questions.
Nina summoned dust? But it's a Fabrikator thing? Was there someone else there? I hope she's able to beat the parem.
Damn! For a second I thought Van Eck had outsmarted Kaz, but I should have known better. Van Eck doesn't care about Wylan, but he cares a lot about his pregnant wife. Inej is right. He practically challenged Kaz to kidnap her.
Holy smokes batman! That exchange was a little intense. Of course nothing Van Eck came up with to double cross Kaz would work 😆
But shit. What are the Shu doing to the Grisha? Are those Grisha? Is someone else experimenting on them? I thought I read in Six of Crows that someone was trying to combine metal with Grisha, but I can't remember who mentioned it or who they were talking about. 🤔🤔🤔 Were they talking about the Shu? Why are the Shu collecting Grisha?
Okay so they're not Grisha and now I'm thinking it was mentioned in Shadow and Bone, not Six of Crows, but damn! They got some wolverine shit going on. 😳😳😳
Talking about the sugar plan and Kaz mentions a net for Inej. He wants her to be safe ❤️❤️❤️
Jespers sassy comments give me so much joy!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Gonna sneak the Grisha out using one of Van Ecks own ships!
ZOYA!!! I missed you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Ya know I already thought Van Eck was a dick. I didn't need another reason to justify it. I didn't need to find out that Wylans mom is alive. That Van Dick had her committed so he could divorce her after claiming all her money and property just so he could marry another woman who would give him a "true heir."
LOL Nina and Matthias making out.
Shit. Matthias, Jesper, and Kuwei are in trouble.
Well shit. Inej and most likely Nina are in trouble too.
HOLY SHIT! When people are in danger and it changes POVs I tend to read faster to get back to them, but I can't do that when they're ALL IN FUCKING TROUBLE. My heart can't take this. The only upside is I know Pekka Rollins is behind it...not that that is really an upside. I gotta go find out what happens to EVERYONE.
Jesper: "I can't hear you. Come closer" 🤣🤣🤣
Awww Mathias wants to change the world now ❤️❤️❤️
Whew. Everyone is at least somewhat safe. That was stressful. And, umm, I guess Nina can control the dead now. Are we exploring the death part of control life and death for Hearttenders? Is that where we're going?
Exactly how many plans has Kaz hatched in this book? Like 5?
Poor Jesper 😭😭😭 kissed the wrong boy.
Kaz got the dregs back!!! 🥳🥳🥳
STURMHOND!!!! ❤️🥳❤️🥳❤️🥳❤️🥳
You handsome, sassy man wasn't expecting you to be in this neck of the woods. How long have you been here? How did you get past the blockades?
Yay! Genya changed Wylan back to his old self!! 🥳🥳🥳
Great plan! Brilliant plan!
Does Nina know Sturmhond as Nikolai? She recognized his voice, maybe from when they were little?
MATTHIAS DIED 😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔
But everyone else is safe and happy...hopefully.
Kaz helped reunite Inej with her parents!!!! 😭🥳😭🥳😭🥳😭🥳❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I can't wait to see what happens in King of Scars, but there is one thing I still don't understand. Was Sturmhond there the whole time or did he sneak past the blockades?!?!?!

🦊, 😱🤯🙃👏.
Omd that was A LOT.
Like emotional rollercoaster and I went along for the ride.
I weirdly enjoyed it, though? Like their text thread I was 👀😬 but also relieved because they were airing it all out. Even if they were SO MEAN. In that moment I suppose I was relieved they were fighting rather than not fighting. Soy or to Appa.
And then their long fight (that is far from over...) they both had salient and selfish points within the arguments. It was good AND bad.
Did I love JK's calling his Appa with context? Yes.
Was it wild that he then didn't follow the dad's advice until Sasha pointed out he never actually apologized? Also yes.
Will JK eventually process all these feelings he's been bottling up? He keeps compartmentalizing and she doesn't even have all the context from him about the drugs, alcohol and depression, which he's not thinking about telling her because he's shifted them into a different box. And probably hasn't processed them yet. They are gonna have this fight part two when that stuff comes out. Unless he like tells her tomorrow. 🙏 (And oops, sorry Dr. Kim, love of my Flux life, yes, I just projected all that on him without knowing what's going on in his head.)
Will Sasha drop some of the barriers to entry and understanding she makes that complicate things for her and her partners? I mean, yes, she had been very honest lately. But she's still guarding some things it's important to be direct about and I fear this experience will make her guard even more when she's less defenseless, less frazzled. She compromised a lot in her mind, which she's bitter about, but JK doesn't even click that she's doing it. Or hopefully he does and because we didn't get his perspective it's just not known?
"Time will tell" is your answer to all my questions above, I'm guessing.
Mostly I want to know why Sasha didn't let this question in the fight hang in the balance to be answered by JK: "What else are you hiding from me?" Because she just blew past it to say more.
Got a feeling she's gonna regret not getting an answer to that. 👀
🎉
It's true they got through SO MUCH. Hopefully with time and practice they can get better at slowing down and focusing calmly at one thing at a time, not literally emptying every drawer (except that drug one) in the kitchen 😅. That makes for an exhausting, excruciatingly long fight where definitely everyone won't be at their best. It's so hard to learn how to call for a break without it sounded like a finale though, especially when both are emotionally charged!
"What else are you hiding from me" she TOTALLY did the thing again where she took a lack of an answer as a negative. Like that's the genesis of this whole fight about the women and it literally happened again 🤣🤣
I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter! I often like chapters like this too, even when they're exhausting, because they make me thoughtful and really wring me out, I have to really jump around in other people's minds to represent their thoughts rather than my own! But I still learn about myself in the process!

QUICK THOUGHTS ON CHAPTER 237 :
I only have one fear... Thousand Winters 😭 It seems like the name will be permanent until someone else gives a better suggestion that suits the true goal of the gang itself.
The "If it's you, I'd do anything" type of a man Hakkai and Inupi is when it comes to Takemichi... oh wow... Wish that was me.
Overwhelming by feelings aside— I love that both of them has zero hesitation to follow and join Takemichi when he begged. Besides, the fact that Inupi said that he (Michi) doesn't even need to ask cuz he knew the man that he set his eyes on to die for since the moment Michi saved him... there's definitely lies a deep loyalty that can't be replicated. Anyway, I'm so glad to see Inupi joined Michi and Chifuyu's new gang after Toman.
We finally got another Inupi and Kokonoi's interaction. This part right here, when Inupi asked "are you happy with this?" He knew what's up. You see, Koko is actually a nice guy, unlike what other people often claimed him to be. Even though he looks like someone who sticks with the champion, he is also a person whom explicitly shown displeasure, especially with Mikey's action in the previous chapters and I bet we all could see that too. But Koko is still Koko. Money is still everything for him, so long as he doesn't lose himself. I want to believe that he joined Mikey cuz he knew how he was + how strong he was back when he's still Toman's president (Tenjiku arc), and he put his trust on him that he would do well until the Three Deities War. It's not like he would left Kantou Manji Kai just because of that, it's more like he couldn't believe what he just saw- as if he's seeing his leader's other side or his true colors.

"You chose a good person" and with that smile.... hopefully he's not Wakui's next victim 😬
And for the last one, THIS :
Tumblr media
For God's sake, I really want to believe that Chifuyu was just joking around and he did all that design shirt to lift up everyone's mood but nah... he's damn SERIOUS AS HELL– it scares the shit out of me 😰 INUPI'S REACTION TO THE SHIRT DESIGN THREW ME OFF 😂
Idk what is Wakui intending to do after all these laughing chapters, cuz rather than wanting to give TR manga fans a non-heavy type of content cuz we just did in the few chapters back, I feel like it was intentionally made this way for something 'to look forward for'. Maybe it's a therapy for others, but it's a concerning shit for me. Anyways, let's just enjoy this moment while it lasts.

it’s always the sanjays and adityas that end up as traitors smh. sangamesh is like that weird guy who can’t take a hint to leave you alone lmao.
can.. we just appreciate ✨tall women✨ they get so much shit cause of patriarchal standards but a pretty girl and you have to look up to see her pretty face 🥰
ahh i wish i could find it for you, but i spent like ten minutes googling “the moon is polyamorous tumblr” and i think my FBI agent is getting bored of me.
no! i like hearing about names, i think the idea of them are so cool. like we made sounds that refer to a person, but then some people have the same sounds so we added more and called them last names and even then people have the same sounds??
okay fine, i may... leave you for abigail thorn or kristen stewart.. but could you blame me?? also holy fuck i just found out abigail thorn is 6 foot.... *throws a non-existent wedding ring off my floor, picks bags off the floor and kicks the door open* bye bitch
nooo not the broken heart, we’re allowed to leave each other for hotter people okay /j
(also yes i have and i absolutely hated it. srry if you liked it, but the toxic masculinity and misogyny made me not like it, also maybe cause i was kind of in a hard place when i watched it and it definitely didn’t help lmao. i heard there’s an f3 coming out 😬)
yay!! i’m so proud of you (drop the @ so i can see what you’re up to). i think it’s a great idea and i’m glad you’re not stressing over it. also maybe i’m biased because i like your nonsense- mostly cause i’m part of it.
my life’s pretty boring, but i’m going on vacation. i’ll probably send you random asks cause i’ll miss you too much if i don’t. <3
also sometimes it hits me randomly that your telugu. like that still hasn’t fucking registered in my brain lol. and you know how every desi person knows each other, what if we like met irl and neither of us knows. ngl that freaks me out a little cause i don’t want to be perceived irl but it’s kind of cool cause i’ve never met anyone like me before :)
(that was long and rambly but hopefully the words came out right)
dw about answering my asks! i just like hanging out with you (in my head we’re just vibing in a room).
anyways i love you *squeezes you tightly*
mwah! here’s a pretty flower🌷
- indi <3
sooo true, if i were evil i could use those names but unfortunately i only want to destroy capitalism 😔 no but one of the names on my list was Vijay Kai. i want you to take a minute to guess the main reason why i listed this name. think hard. take a deep breathe and think more.
youre wrong! jay and kai were my favorite characters in ninjago and i made it Vijay bc it was indian and also the nickname V would be super cool. i am dead serious.
no but actually tall women are like 🥰😍🥺😚 im lov. feel so small and safe with tall women, lets just appreciate tall women for a minute, ty (and by tal women i mean literally everyone, im five one so)
no i googled it too, i think theres a blog with that name bc i couldnt find anything else, lmao. fbi agent should be happy theyre getting some variety in their daily lives of "i accidentally swallowed glue help!"
no i completely agree, like especially how some names can just be words, like naming your kid river or sky, but then others arent and theyre Just Names, like Wilson or Michael, or some other names that arent survival movie names (sorry to the people named wilson and michael lol) and like how technically we dont need names, like its easier with, but we could do without if we wanted to, but we were like "no i need to identify my friends and people i know!!"
nah, i wouldnt blame you, i too would leave myself for abigail thorn. wait shes six feet?? *beats you to the door without furniture bc Priorities*
mutually preemptive divorce <3 we part ways amicably only to come back together in the end
(no yeah, the jokes that they actually made werent funny At All, but the whole bit where the women "forgave" them only to give them a taste of their own medicine was the only good part. and the anthega guy, i couldnt get over his face, plus im gay for Tamannaah, Mehreen, and Varun Tej, so i spent the whole time simping lol) (but have you seen Varun Tej in Gaddalakonda Ganesh/Valmiki?? sir 😭✋🏽 some of us are gay)
ah thank you 🥰 its @thoughts-of-a-trying-tree, i wanted to keep the tree theme lmao. i love your nonsense too <3
ooo, a vacation!! thats exciting, i hope you have fun! im cool with you sending random asks but make sure to enjoy yourself and let go too!! ill live vicariously through you, lmao
no i feel like that sometimes too, its a bit strange to think of other people similar to me bc i spent so long thinking everyone else was opposite to me, if that makes sense? we've probably seen each other at suvidha or bawarchi lol, or maybe you were that kid stuffing kinder joys in their mouth so they could steal them (imagine if that was actually you, lol. dont tell me or ill lose my mind)
i am hanging upside down from the ceiling, swinging precariously and hoping i dont bring the roof down 😌 what a wonderful rooooom
love you toooo *hugs back* <3
aw, thank you! ill put it in a little vase <3
