Throwback to that time in mid-Feb when I realised I was hugely overworking and had slipped out of all my routines… so no wonder I was feeling so discombobulated and autistically struggling so much! Still working on putting things right, but forever grateful to have my journal as a space where I can work things out in writing 😌
So I'm kinda late to the party since guess when I just had to get sick and had to watch the movie I wast most looking forward this year with like 1,5 week delay. ehhh....
Anyway the magic still works and I'm joining the hype at my slow pace :D and even if I hardly share my doodles from my journal now I want to draw all the spiders trying slightly different materials each time. For now it was obviously watercolors for Gwen with some highlights in posca markers :)
Step 1: Eat the sacrifice soul.
Step 2: Kill the people who offered you said sacrifice soul.
Step 3: Adopt the sacrifice soul's twin on a whim even though he's on the brink of death.
Step 4: ??????
Maybe the demon didn't think this through...
Very messy thing I felt the urge to sketch on my journal, I should make traditional art more often. (In case the speech bubble isn't very clear, it says "What am I going to do with you hm?").
I used the scanner at work and tbh I'm surprised the quality is so bad! Maybe I'll try again when I get home, hopefully it's not too terrible.
Sunday was a chill day, mostly cleaned and played Baldur's Gate. I'm really loving the game so far, I haven't felt so much joy playing something in a while and I'm happy so many other people are enjoying it too.
Monday I was back to work. Got a lot of work tasks out of the way and even finished a larger work project! It was one that was making me nervous too since I just barely made the deadline. Then after work I played even more BG3!
Does anybody else feel like their handwriting ruins their journaling experience? Such as I wish to post some of my journal pages, but my hand writing is just not pleasing or straight enough. It is wonky and cursive. it changes shapes throughout the writing process. (Maybe it is cuz I compare myself to other pleasing handwriting and organization)
And our boy Miles! He and Gwen are actually all I've drawn so far but still, I'm hyped to do them all.
For him I used the posca and molotov markers you see to the side, added sketchy lineart for his face and then used the pastel "waterlolors" I've once bought on a whim that really are more of a gouache. This way I can make them kinda match since Gwen highlights are in markers while she is painted in watercolor.
(plus hobonichi's tomoe river paper is the best one for poscas/molotovs since it's so smooth and durable it doesn't get scratched and destroyed by the markers).
