Enough with genderfluid stereotypes where genderfluid people are very fashionable or where genderfluid people are liquids, I made a new, superior stereotype: genderfluid people are very good at hide and seek.
It all makes sense! People are constantly trying to find the genderfluid and genderfluid people have to be good at hiding or else we would have been found already.

Flufftober: Up against the wall kiss
Just a silly little thing for LAST YEAR’S flufftober.
Thank you @chaotictarlos for the edit! It’s perfect! And thank you @noxsoulmate for the beta! Special thanks to @sapphire11 for helping with the plot points when I got stuck! I love you all very much!! 💜

“Nineteen…twenty…twenty-one…”
TK lets out an impatient sigh. “We should really tell her that she doesn’t actually have to count to 100 every time.”
Carlos huffs out a laugh and feels TK shiver as the puff of air tickles his neck. He loves having this effect on his husband - but that’s not what he’s focusing on now. “She’s practicing her numbers, TK. Besides, the longer she counts, the longer she’ll be distracted. And the longer she’s distracted…” Carlos lets his voice trail off as he trails a finger down TK’s cheek, hooks it under his chin, and tips his head back for a gentle kiss.
When he pulls back slowly, TK leans forward, chasing his lips.
“Forty… forty-one… forty-two…”
“Think we can get her to bed early?”
“TK, it’s three in the afternoon.”
“So, no?
“No.”
“So… maybe we can pawn her off on her grandpa? And we can have a date night?”
“Considering Buttercup still has some purple fur from the last time he babysat,” Carlos replies with a soft chuckle, “No, I don’t think Grandpa Owen is in a babysitting mood.”
“Damn.”
“Fifty-eight…fifty-nine…”
Carlos grins and leans forward again, capturing TK’s lips with his. TK makes a surprised noise but relaxes into the kiss as Carlos pins him against the wall. He lets out a soft giggle, and Carlos instantly shushes him. It’s been ages since they had made out like teenagers, trying not to get caught.
“Ninety-nine…one hundred. Ready or not, here I come!”
Carlos moves back again, as much as the small space allows, and together they wait to be found.
They can hear Mari open doors and slam cabinets, both listening carefully to ensure she doesn’t open any external doors. She approaches the closet and pauses but then runs past towards the bedrooms.
“Hmmm,” TK mutters. “Okay, then.”
Tiny footsteps approach the closet again, and Carlos is sure the game is over, but just as quickly she changes direction, going back the way she came.
“What is she doing?” TK asks quietly.
Shrugging, Carlos says, “I have no idea. She might be confused because she hasn’t found either of us yet? We don’t usually hide together.”
“Yeah, well, you always have the best hiding spot.”
Carlos rolls his eyes. “No, it’s just that I can stay quiet. You always make too much noise.”
“Do not!” he protests, but Carlos sushes him right away, proving his point. TK is simply incorrigible. And he even has the audacity to roll his eyes before he continues in a hushed voice. “And anyway, I-”
But Carlos dives forward, sealing his lips over TK’s and pressing TK against the door. They kiss for a moment until Carlos breaks it, visibly leaving TK breathless as he rests their foreheads together. Good. That means his husband is distracted enough…
“So, about me having the best hiding spot…” Carlos begins.
“Yes?” TK breathes out.
“I’m not quite ready to give up my title as hide-and-seek champion yet,” Carlos says. In one swift move, he opens the closet door and pushes. TK looks shocked as he stumbles into the hallway and with a silent laugh, Carlos yanks the door shut again.
He hears Mari squeal with delight as she finds TK in the hallway. He wonders how long his husband will hold himself back – but it’s only a few seconds later that the closet door opens again, and TK is standing there with Mari settled on his hip.
“Found you!” their daughter exclaims.
“Yeah, found you!” TK echoes, sticking his tongue out.
“Well yeah, but I was found last!” Carlos points out with a grin.
“That’s ‘cause you’re the hide-and-seek king!” Mari kicks to be let down and Carlos shoots TK a smug look as he sets her on the ground. “Your turn to count!” Mari demands, poking at TK, before turning on her heel and running down the hallway.
“I’m sorry!” Carlos gives TK a wink and leans in close. “But I promise I’ll make it up to you tonight.”
“You better,” TK mutters. He closes his eyes and begins to count.

Blackbird Review
Howdy! I’m slowly going to be reviewing all of the Fazbear Frights stories I don’t already have a separate review for, and this one is for Blackbird! Overall, Blackbird is a very entertaining book that deserves to be seen as a fan favorite. I thought it was excellent, and it’s my second favorite in the entire series.
For my The Cliffs review, go here! For my previous Bunny Call review, go here! If you want to read these in order, go here!
For the rest of the review, keep reading!
Blackbird - This story was extremely good. I really liked Amber and Nole’s relationship, and Sam was a cool guy who seemed fun to hang around. I don’t think I dislike any characters here, all the minor ones were nice and served their purpose and there weren't any negative ones that stuck around for too long. However, I will say that the part with Christine could have been better. It seems rather rushed for the most part, and it’s not exactly the highlight of the story. The Blackbird is really interesting, and I like the idea behind it and that we get to see its creation. Its effects on Nole and its overall vibe really help the story out and make this antagonist really memorable. I really do like this story.
The Real Jake - A family plagued by tragedy. This story is fantastic. The interactions between Jake and Simon are cute, as well as Jake and Margie’s relationship, and the part where his friend tries to break him out is actually kinda sad. If you’re one of those people who haven’t read the story and ignored the spoiler warning, I’d highly recommend you stop right now and go read this story, as the final third is just so devastating. One thing after the next until we reach the sad ending. And the one bit of horror actually fits. Margie has been obsessing over the baby monitor and needing to keep it on her and listen to it the whole story. This sudden moment fits this, as it could just be Margie being delusional. Evan, Jake’s father, really seemed to care and it makes what happens later even more devastating. As for Michael, I never got the comparison between him and Michael Afton beyond the robotic comparison, but he was still a decent character.
Hide-and-Seek - The usage of RWQFSFASXC was interesting and something we’ve been dying to see for a while, and I also thought the kid Toby runs into that can see RWQFSFASXC was interesting although underused and ultimately meaningless. Dan also seemed rather genuine, which makes what Toby does ever more infuriating. And that’s about it for my praise of the story. Toby is unlikeable and him destroying the Hide-and-Seek game was dumb. The story makes it hard for us to particularly like any of Toby’s family. Him and Connor literally fighting each other instantly threw me out of the story. And then the ending. Why did Toby decide victory was impaling himself with the pegs of the game he destroyed? Toby realizing that his poor health wasn’t caused by RWQFSFASXC but by himself and him giving up on the game to live a happier life knowing that Connor truly cares about him and that he’s making new friends with Tabitha would have been better. Overall, I’d say this story was bad.

Imagine with me:
Batman made new suits to make all the batfam impossible to detect through any means because of a villain from the future with super advanced technology (possibly a future where the technology has been advanced through hybridization with alien technology or something).
What if the technology he uses for the suits make it so they're not only undetectable to the villain but to Superman too?
Like poor Clark could be just chilling with a book or something and out of the blue he stops hearing the heartbeats of the whole batfam?
He'd try to call them but since they need to be 100% undetectable the first thing they did was get rid of their phones.
It would be especially hilarious if when Bruce made the suits he didn't realize they were Clark-proof as well.
Like the day after he goes to the league's meeting that they'd planned and everyone's wearing black and mourning them while Clark's in front of a board with red string with pictures of all the villains that Batman's ever pissed off trying to understand who did it...and Bat's so confused.

Considering Elf on the Shelf is a horrifying attempt to normalize our increasingly heavily surveilled society, I propose a Fun New Christmas Game to play with the kiddos, wherein a straw goat is placed in a prominent area of the house and the parents may employ any number of strategies to protect it, while the kids do their best to steal it (since small children and fire in an enclosed building is probably a bad idea)
Aww that seems like a fun and cute holiday tradition!

50 years from today someone will tear out this kitchen. And this cabinet which fills out and empty space will get the whole neighborhood on their feet. I wish I could travel in time to see the face expression of that poor guy that will pull the countertop off of that cabinet.
